Error in getting IUser for browsing KM

Question

Hi All,
I want to write a portal application, which createa a HTMLB Tree structure for browsing through KM.
for that I have written as follows.
com.sapportals.portal.security.usermanagement.IUser user  =
WPUMFactory.getUserFactory().getEP5User(request.getUser());
IResourceContext ctxt = new ResourceContext(user);
RID rid = RID.getRID("/documents");
IResource resource = ResourceFactory.getInstance().getResource(rid,ctxt);
ICollection collection = (ICollection)resource;
IResourceList reslist = collection.getChildren();
But it is raising the following error at run time.
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing a request for :
iView : KMBrowsing.KMAbstractComp
Component Name : KMBrowsing.KMAbstractComp
The exception was logged. Inform your system administrator..

I am following the following blog as reference.

Can anyone plz tell me where the problem lies??? or how to get the reference of IUser in this.

Hi Reddy,
It is raising NullPointerException.  So I have tried this way too.
IUserFactory iuf = UMFactory.getUserFactory();
IUser u = iuf.getUserByLogonID("user");
com.sapportals.portal.security.usermanagement.IUser user;
*               user = WPUMFactory.getUserFactory().getEP5User(u);*
Then also it is raising the same exception. Can u plz tell me whr the mistake is????
totally my program code ia only this much now, and tested. Then also it is raising the NullPointerException.
Any suggestions plzzzzz.
