Error in import/export of functions - for the apex team

After exporting functions, the import gives an error.
Reason :
the export generates a script with
function \
function
importing this script gives an error because only the first function is imported. or the functions seems to be togheter one function

Leo - I logged into your workspace and exported the functions. The generated script looks perfectly good. I then uploaded that file into my own workspace and ran the script. The functions were all created as separate functions.
There must be something happening at your end causing newline characters in the file to be lost or something. Or maybe I didn't follow exactly the steps you did.
BTW, when you mentioned the "\" character in your original post, I assumed you meant the "/" character.

I've installed this application. Looks nice, my compliments.
I can make new announcements: it seems possible to underline, or make bullets and so on, but the "format" don't appear in the result: no bullets, no underlining, just ordinary text without spaces.....

I think the fix for a future release would be to not use that derived column, and just use a standard report with a custom template. It is also possible that for announcements and tasks it is more appropriate to use a standard Textarea instead of Textarea with HTML Editor.

Error in "software projects" packaged application: for the apex team

Hi,
At the top of the menu there is a button progress reports or something like that.
I come on a page with the possibility to run charts.
If I push the button "report view" , the application goes to page 43 and shows an error: "assigned_to" not defined.

do you have an item which you have deleted or renamed? have a look on the page you are on then look at the under "Branches" in the middle of the screen you should see <name>43 click on that and see if there is anything that is surpose to be passed to page 43 called assigned_to

For the apex-team : bug in apex ???

Hi apex-team,
if i make a master-detail report i can choose between a result of two pages (master and detailmaster with mru for the detail) , or a result with three pages (master, detailmaster with a report of detailtabel and a form for the detail-table.
apex creates in both cases but in the second situation (three pages) on the third page it's impossible to add a detail. (in the result with two pages everything works fine).
both apex verson 2.2 and version 3.

(little) bug in apex : for the apex team

Hi,
I have two applications in one workspace, both having some LOV´s.
If I show from shared components the LOV´s of the first application it return several LOV´s
If I do the same for the second application (having a smaller number of LOV´s) the reset pagination message comes up. Not logical ? Perhaps you can avoid it.

There are a number of ways this could be solved. I'm curious which you think is preferable.
1) When changing any POST process to a process that is executed on SHOW, delete any button conditions (as you say, they won't be relevant anyway).
2) Leave the button condition in place, but when viewing any process associated with a SHOW (e.g., Before Header), show the Button Condition region if the Button Condition is not null.
3) Don't permit the change of Process Point if a Button Condition is present.

Does Import/Export Utility check for Block corruption?

Hi All,
Just a quick question I have is does Import/Export Utiligy check for any block corruption while importing or exporting?
If yes then does it do automatically or we have do set some parameter explicitly.
I am using oracel version 9.2.0.6.

Thx for your prompt reply. Still I am not clear as you said that export check for the block corruption error and if there is any it will display the error message in log file. But does it copy corrupted block or skip that block or mark that block as corrupted?

Error "codepage could not be determined for the receiver-system"

Hi,
we use the idoc-adapter to send message from mySAP ERP to PI.
All worked fine.
So, this morning I have changed the datatype of the messageId from "char" to "int" in mySAP ERP in the customizing menue (install param). So, no message received in SAP PI.
When I start transction "we05" in mySAPERP" I get the following error:
"codepage could not be determined for the receiver-system" status 02.
I have changed the datatyp to "char" but the same probleme
Can anybody help me please?

This error shouldn't occur unless there is some modification at the OS level codepages.
Please check the entried in the RFC destination for connecting to the XI system. Unicode settings.

Main optimizer error - There is already a transaction for the system

Hi Guru's,
I am trying to download support packs from maintenance optimizer in solution manager system. When i select the logical system it gives the error
'There is already a transaction for the system of this product version'
After this error, it does not proceed further.
There is many maintanence transactions in Maintanence optimizer. Now how to remove all these.
Any ideas or solutions most welcome.

As Christian has already written, the only problem is that there is already an open Maintenance Transaction for that specific system. Maintenance Optimizer checks that you do not open two different Maintenance Transactions for a system at the same time.
You only have to withdraw the old Maintenance Transaction to be able to proceed with the new one. Open the old Maintenance Transaction and click "Withdraw" on the bottom of the page. If it is grayed out, you need to go one step backwards, there you can withdraw it.

Please help me resolve the Lync server 2013 deployment error: "An error occurred while applying SQL script for the feature BackendStore."

I am getting an error in "Step 2 - Setup or Remove Lync Server Components" of "Install or Update Lync Server System" step.
"An error occured while applying SQL script for the feature BackendStore. For details, see the log file...."
Additionally, all previous steps such as: Prepare Active Directory, Prepare first Standard Edition server, Install Administrative Tools, Create and publish topology are done without any errors. The user that I used to setup the Lync server is member of:

I Had similar issue i end up uninstalling and reinstallting but same issue, then i change the drive but same issue. It was I/O issue. After adjusting my I/O it fix our issue and installation went on without any issue.

I am using my AD in Windows Azure VMs. I created new VM of A3 (4 cores, 7 GB Memory) Windows Server 2012 R2, Port 1433 MSSQL added, made it a member of Domain and planned to install first Lync Server 2013 on it.
In "Setup or Remove Lync Server Components" of "Install or Update Lync Server System", got an Red Coloured text "An error
occurred while applying SQL script for the feature BackendStore."
I have not enabled monitoring and archiving server in topology builder. I added "Network Service" and assign "Full Control" in Security Permissions of "C:\CsData" and "C:\LyncShare".
I executed the SQL Setup Wizard and upgraded any instance to 2012.
Please guide.

Please check you have enough disk space for the disk where the folders are.
Check view log for detailed log information.

To load that file with BULK INSERT, use this format file:

Note that the format file defines four fields while the fileonly seems to have three. The format file defines an empty field before the first quote.
Or, since you already have a .NET program, use a stored procedure with table-valued parameter instead. I have an example of how to do this here:
