Error in Master Site Setup for Oracle Replication

While i was trying to setup the Master Site for Oralce 8.1.7
replication, a error is poping up like this :
ORA-06550:LINE 2, CLOUMN 4:
PLS-00201: IDENTIFIER 'DBMS_REPCAT_ADMIN.GRANT_ADMIN_ANY_SCHEMA'
MUST BE DECLARED

1st check the storage prerequisites: http://itnewscast.com/chapter-6-oracle-vm-22-san-iscsi-and-nfs-backend-storage-configurations
2nd clean each servers cluster configs as show in the prerequisites section then create the pool.

Database Connection Error 42000:[Microsoft][ODBC driver for oracle] Syntax

This is Sathish, I am trying to create a report and retrieve data through stored procedure using ODBC Connection. When connecting to the Stored Procedure it is showing Database Connection Error 42000:[Microsoft][ODBC driver for oracle] Syntax error or access violation' Error.

It could be an issue with the driver.
You can try with the OLEDB n Oracle native connection to test if the issue persists.

I'm using ADF Faces EA6. Sometimes when I create the EAR, it doesn't include the file "oracle-desktop-ea6-ie-6-windows.css" which muest be present in the "adf/styles/cache" directory. If I check the source code from the browser, it starts like this:

If everything is set up properly the css will get generated if it doesn't exist. You do not have to be running in the IDE for the css to be correctly generated. Running the app first is generating the css before you deploy, so you've taken away the symptom but not solved the problem. If you try running on another browser, for example, you'll probably run into the same problem.
Does your ear get unzipped when you deploy? Do you have a writable file system for the css to get written to? There is a known issue with WebLogic where it doesn't expand the EAR.
Please check to see if there are errors in the logs.

Thanks for your hint about the ./.profile. I was setting env variables in .cshrc file and my default shell for "oracle" user was sh.
Then I changed the default shell for oracle user to csh and viola..... it works.

Error when SDM JDBC driver for Oracle

When deploying the JDBC driver for Oracle on PI 7.0, I failed to achive. I got the following trace information from SDM.
After checking the system directory structure, I found that very interesting thing. First I downloaded aii_af_jmsproviderlib.sda from the directory of ../SAP AG/0/3.0...and zip oracle jdbc driver into it, and I deployed the sda file with SDM back to the system with the option update deployed SDAs that hava any version. Curious the sda file was put into another directory of ../SAP AG/1/3.0... a new directory which was just created during the deployment.
This never happen before and is this the reason why deploy failed.

SMOEAC site settings for material replication

SRM Gurus,
While doing the settings for material replication, in SMOEAC transaction
I am trying to create site 'SRM' of type CRM, In the site attributes if I enter RFC destination 'SRMCLNT001' and click on get values I am getting the following message "RFC destination SRMCLNT001 does not exist. No valid backend system".
Can someone please suggest what I need to check/configure to fix this issue?

R/3 side : RFC destination SRMCLNT001 (for connecting to SRM 5.0 system) created and remote logon tested OK.
Completed all CRM* table settings
SRM side: RFC destination R3CLNT800 (for connecting to ECC 6.0) created and remote logon tested OK

Make sure you have created the RFC destination in SRM also. You need to create the following:
RFC destination of SRM in SRM and in R/3.
RFC destination of R/3 in R/3 and SRM.

Best Strategy for Oracle Replication Dataguard/Streams/Mat Views...

We have a database in Atlanta and a Nat. Office DB in DC. The primary workhorse is the ATL db. The DC office needs to be able to review the most current ATL database data and make small changes to status codes and comment fields (not necessarily on the database but can be if that is the best way). The DC database in the case of network failure/Loss of communication with ATL wants to be able to continue to work on the most current data as of the network failure and resync/or send those changes back to ATL db when the network is restored.
Iam interested in startegies you would take to accomplish these goals.
We will be using Oracle 10.2

Sounds like a typical Replication Streams use case. DataGuard is not quite in the picture.
If your remote office only need to replication few tables from ATL, setup Mview based replication seems a good idea.

Error while configuring Eclipse SDK for Oracle Utilities SDK 2.2

Hi.
I'm installing an Enterprise Taxation Management development workstation. I followed the install guide from top to bottom.
The application server is ok, the SDK seems to be OK.
I executed 'configureEclipse.exe' and made manual configurtions -as the install guide reads-. The eclipse project was created, but it has 2 missing libraries.
When I open eclipse, it shows the following errors:
Project EclipseProject220 is missing required library: 'lib/ojdbc5-11.1.0.6.0.jar'
Project EclipseProject220 is missing required library: 'lib/spl-ccb-2.2.0.jar'
My questions is ¿where do I get those jar files?
About the environement:
The develpment workstation is a laptop running Windows 2003 server, with ETM v2.2.0 Application Server installed. 3rd party SW is installed ok (appropiated versions). Web Server is Apache Tomcat v6.0.13. Eclipse v3.2.2. Oracle Utilities SDK v2.2.0.5 installed.
Database is installed on another computer, running Windows XP with Oracle Database 11i, connected on a LAN.

I had these problems too..
I suppouse you're installind TAX (ETM) so the library you need is lib/spl-tax-2.2.0.jar'
On the other hand, the othe 'lib/ojdbc5-11.1.0.6.0.jar' eclipse is asking for. I changed it for 'lib/ojdbc5-11.1.0.7.0.jar'
After change these libs I can run the generator and deploy scripts even when i don't know jet how to develop.
Dou you have some cookbooks for developing (algorithnms, modify native clases, ect) you'd like to share??

Error when creating ssh keys for Oracle RAC on Solaris 10

I'm in the process of configuring 2 node oracle cluster running on Sun cluster 3.2 /solaris 10 OS.
I have followed this oracle guide to when creating keys (oracle document No =B14205-01)
But im having problem when executing this step
bash-3.00$ scp authorized_keys tsavo-east:/oracle/.ssh/
ssh: connect to host tsavo-east port 22: Connection timed out
lost connection

did i use the right document. have other steps that works (anyway not sure if this error are related to the stepsfor configuring ssh)

Setup for Oracle Enterprise Asset Management(eAM)

Hi All,
I have checked the Check box for Enterprise Asset Management product after I login through Oracle Applications Manager ->Site Map ->License Product.
As per one of the note, the below list of Reponsibilities will come by default.
a) Oracle Enterprise Asset Management
b) Maintenance User Workbench
c) Maintenance Super User
d) Self-Service Work Requests
e) Self Service Time and Expenses
But I can't see them after I did the check. So, I MANUALLY added the above list of responsibilities to my USER.
Please let me know, will this create any Impact ?
