i am new to sap mm .
while creating purchase request for particular material.error
" material is not assigned to plant ' is getting .
i maintained basic data ,purchase ,generaldata plant storage and accountig views i maintained
kindly expalin me how to resolve this problem

Hi,
How did you create material. Have you given Plant & Storage location while creting it.
Create material using mm01 trxn code
click on Organizational levels - Give plant & Storage location
Select views and input all the values and save.
First check in MM60 by specifying only material whether it is existing in that particular plant or not.

It seems when you are trying to save a requisition, system is not allowing to save the requsition (requisition Number : segment1 of PO_REQUISITION_HEADERS_ALL table). It may be b'coz of unique key violation...
You need to check the Purchasing option setup too. Is the Document Numbering against Requisition number is set as Entry : Manual and Type : Numeric? ... if so then you might be trying to use an existing requisition number...
If above case is not true then we will recommend you to raise a SR with oracle for your issue.. They may guide you better :)

I get this same error message when I try to download it, but I have purchased the full version and have a license key. I get this error screen when I try to download it from both Safari and Chrome on a Mac running OSX. A screenshot is attached.

Purchase request referring to a deleted purchase order

Hi,
I'm working at a release upgrade from 4.6 to ECC 6.0 and I'm facing the following issue.
I created a purchase order referring to a purchase request.
Although I've deleted the purchase order, its number is still displayed in the purchase request.
Instead in the previous release 4.6c, after having deleted the purchase order, its number disappeared.
Do you know how to solve this different behaviour?

If PO item was delete, system will update the PO qty in PR statistics with ZERO. And appear information to advise this item has been opened. But 'Processing stat' will still keep 'B' - Ordered.

"This is actually not an error. This is because checks for whether a purchase requisition has already been completed are always made on the basis of the quantity ordered. The processing status and the last purchase order are not used in this case.
Thus the processing status and the last purchase order are not reset, since it very often occurs that purchase requisitions are completed via several purchase orders - that is, they are partially ordered several times. In this case, it would even be completely incorrect to reset the status when deleting the last purchase order item, since the previous purchase order can still exist.
However, since the program no longer has this information, namely, which purchase order is the last active one, the processing status is left on "B" and the purchase order number is not corrected, because this could only cause "even more incorrect" statistics."

All items doubling up on Purchase Request layout (Crystal Reports)

Hi Everyone,
There is an error in our Crystal Layout when printing 'Purchase Requests'. This error appears to have been present in our system since 'Go Live' and may be present in other people's systems due to the fact that I am using the 'System Default' Crystal Reports layout for Purchase Requests.
Here is the layout that I am selecting (however the error that I am about to show below is occurring on all of our Purchase Request layouts) -
The issue with the layout is that items on the Purchase Request are doubled up, and so are their related costs.
I have blacked out some of the information in the screen capture for confidentiality.
Is anybody else experiencing this issue? If so how did you overcome it?

Hi David,
a) Right click on the fields and go to format field and select the option suppress if duplicated.
b)you can go to the database tab on the top and select the option "select distinct records
c) Please check the joins .This happens due to wring Joins between two tables.Please check the join properly.
If it is proper then check the No. of fields and its data coming and do not take unnecessary fields if it is not in use.

I am trying to discover what determines that "tab strategy" makes appears.
When I fill the fields required in the Purchase Request me51n , sometimes there is no strategy, the "tab strategy" doesn't appears, and I have an error that says "Error: no approval strategy was determined"
So, that's because I ask if there's a way programatically to know where is the validation that make appears or disappear the "tab strategy"
Perhaps there's a user exit, that is validating this strategy.

Error in : Purchase order Creation using BAPI_PO_CREATE1

I am trying to create a PO using a BAPI - BAPI_PO_CREATE1
I want the new PO to have all the characteristics of an existing PO. whose PO # is stored in wa_order_split_create-docnr and for the new PO, i want the quantity from wa_order_split_create-qty_acptd and the delivery data to be wa_order_split_create-dly_date. But this process and code below gives a short dump in the std FM - MEPO_DOC_ITEM_GET . It raises an exception of failure. I am trying to create many new PO's in the loop below. If there is just one row, sometimes, it creates the PO even with the exception failure ( which is pretty weird).
Am i making any mistake while filling the header or item or schedule lines for the BAPI_PO_CREATE1 ? Any tips or clues why I am getting a dump ?

Error while creating request list Unable to detect the SAP system directory

We are upgrading SAP BW (NW 7.0 EHP1) to SAP BW (NW 7.3)
source OS: Windows 2008 R2, source DB: MSSQL server 2008 R2 SP1 CU3
I had started the upgrade by running: STARTUP.BAT
I had started the DSUGui on the server (CI / DB on the same server) from: D:\usr\sap\BP1\upg\sdt\exe\DSUGui.bat
I ran both programs (run as administrators).
Once SAP Gui connects and was able to create userid/ password and when ready to start the initialization phase (click next)
gives me the error
Error while creating request list - see preceeding messages. Unable to detect the SAP system directory on the local host
I had tried STARTUP.BAT "jce_policy_zip=Z:\export-import\downloads\jce_policy-6' and still the same error.
I had started DSUGui.bat with trace and the trace file contents are

Hi ,
I have a request to create on ouput device which can copy the spool request to desired location in application server. Our server is not connected to any physical server and is windows NT.
I am tring to create ACCESS TYPE 'L' with host printer name '__default'.
I am using control set to copy file at desired location on server
COPY &F <path for file to be copied>&T
File is being copied to desired location but its returing error message "Error during print request output. l_rc = 1"

Purchase Order and Purchase Request

Hi Gurus,
do you know how can I get a Purchase Request Number for an item in Purchase Order?
I cannot find it in any BI Content Data Source...

In R/3 tr: /nme23n- display purchase order
It will show the last Purchase Order that you displayed.
On the Purchase order on the top left corner, click on purchase order, and click "other purchase order".
the pop up asks you to enter either purchase order or purchase order number
enter the purchase request number for which you want to see the purchase order and hit ok and vice versa..
go to status tab and double click on purchase order
you will get the corrsponding purchase order for the purchase request..
and if you chose purchase order on the pop up you can get the purchase request number

After doing a new install of BOE Server software, encountered a problem viewing long running reports on-demand. InfoView displayed: 'An error has occurred: Request timed out.' Couldn't find answers anywhere (not even on this site) that would help me resolve this issue. So, I decided to post the resolution.
The error from this post's subject line is displayed when viewing on-demand reports that run for longer than 90 seconds. If the report was scheduled, it wouldn't have a problem - only viewing on-demand. The resolution is to find the 'machine.config' file for your current version of the .NET Framework (e.g. C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework \v2.0.50727\CONFIG\machine.config). Edit the file and place the following into a new line within the 'system.web' section: <httpRuntime executionTimeout="3600"/>
The timeout is set in seconds.
Then, restart IIS using the command line.

Family sharing: Purchase requests are not being sent to Organizer

My son's requests for purchases are not notifying me, the organizer, and he cannot download/purchase any apps. It says the request was sent but there is no pop-up message for me to review the purchase request. I've checked, my iTunes account, my email on all my devices but I never receive any of his requests to purchase. Please help.

How are you uploading the file via network?
If you are troubleshooting the network bandwidth? or the threads where one process takes precedent over the other you will have to troubleshoot the QoS of the network you see this on.
To give a better visual please use Firebug or the Web Developer tool called Network to analyze the requests. The "XMLHttpRequest" will give better clues for Ajax. Reference [http://ajaxian.com/archives/ajax-debugging-with-firebug]
There may be a about:config option that allows mutithreading or max persistent connections per server you can check.

ICal error "400" the request for account fail!!

iCal on my Macbook keeps on popping up with the following:
The server responded with an error.
The request for account “myemail (at) yahoo.com” failed.
The server responded with
“400”
to operation CalDAVCalendarSplitDualTypeCalendarQueueableOperation.
I don't even have a calendar account with my yahoo account, since I use my gmail and iCloud calendar. I went into system preferences and made certain the "calendars" option was unchecked for my yahoo account in the Internet Accounts page. Nonetheless, iCal pops up with the same error message multiple times within the hour. I'm not sure why iCal is even requesting for my yahoo calendar, since I have never used it in iCal since day one. Any ideas?

Just out of curiosity, did you install FileZilla recently? The install comes with malware called Speedial. You may have noticed that your default search engine in all browsers is set to Yahoo, and furthermore impossible to override via the normal course of action.
Removing Yahoo from local apps is easier than resetting them. All I had to do was delete the (added without my consent) Yahoo account from System Preferences, and the iCal Yahoo calendar disappeared momentarily.
