Error in Recv SOAP message

Hi,
We have Proxy to SOAP Sync. scenario. This was working fine before the SOAP Receiver service that we were accessing change the port from 8080 to 9080.
Now the below error is coming com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused
I am able to open the WSDL with adding ?wsdl at the end of URL. Also i ave taken the endpoint from the WSDL ( after opening in Browser)
Not sure what are the setting needs to be done to make this work. Is this Firewall issue & how to solve this
Regards

Hi,
This java exception is thrown only when there is no service listening to the port you are attempting to connect to.
This appesrs to be a firewall issue.You need to open the port in SOAP receiver server with help of Network team.
One way to verify the port problem is that you try doing "telnet server IP address portnumber" and check the output.

• Unable to open PWA in browser and MSP on application server in project server 2007. ERROR: Sending the Soap message failed or no recognizable response was received.

Hi All,
I am using project server 2007 and WSS 3.0.
I have been facing a strange issue for couple of days. I am unable to open PWA in browser and MS Project Pro on application server.
Everything is correct whether it is URL or MS Project profile account on MSP. This is strange because i can open same PWA/MSP from other computers (Database server / Client PCs) but not locally on server.
When i try to connect to MSP on App server, i get the following errors in event viewer.
Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSSOAP
Event ID: 16
User: N/A

One more issue i am facing and i guess that is related to above issue. The Issue is, when i am creating a new project, It's workspace gets created but doesn't get linked to the project and i can't link it manually because it already exists for the project.

Hi Paul ,
Thanks for reply. The project server URL was already added to the Trusted

I am asking these questions because : the error
"cannot find dispatch method" can happen is there is
a mismatch in the targetNameSpace. Ok, I understand. But I believe that I insert some horror within code :-)
Or, if you do not
mind sharing your application, please use the
GlassFish user alias ([email protected] -
you may have to subscribe to project glassfish (

the app - we will debug it for youOh, I can sharing my application. It must be a sample for understanding Sun's environment, web services world and see handling/security messages. But my simple sample become too great for me :-P
Really, this is my experiment:
--server: a simple ws with "add" service.
--client: a session bean that would use ws.
This step works. Next step:
--Client create a SOAP request, sign it, encrypt it and send.
--Server check signature, decrypt soap element, add two number and
send a clear response.
In this step I obtain: error in decode...etc etc
Client seems works (create, sign, encrypt e send).
I'm trying to works at programming level (with handlers).
I don't want to use application level security for two reasons:
1. If I use it, I don't learn in depth WS-Security and other..
2. I tried to use it, but it did works only on server side, as a matter of fact, client doesn't manage signing and encrypting soap message (sure, I tried with other example, perhaps totally wrong :-P)

Please let us know what works for youI come from JBOSS(WS) and JbossIDE (Eclipse with jboss plug-in). I think NetBeans and SUN AS are ahead of jboss.

Scenario is SOAP Sender and IDOC reciever.

I tried reconfiguring also.
When I test from Integration Engine in RWB using the test message it is sucsseful. Infact I can see the IDOC too.
But when the basis guy tested with Adapter engine in RWB using the test tool, it gives the following error:
Error While Sending Message: Additional error text from response: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.ConfigException: ConfigException in XI protocol handler. Failed to determine a receiver agreement for the given message. Root cause: com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.CPAObjectNotFoundException: Couldn't retrieve outbound binding for the given P/S/A values: FP=;TP=;FS=BusComp_Siebel1;TS=;AN=SI_Sales_Order_OB_Async;ANS=http://trm.com:o2b:SalesOrderCreate; in the current context [Unknown].
Any idea where is the problem.
When we tried the WSN step we are facing this error in the very first step.

• Error when parsing SOAP message from JSP

i write a class to call SOAP message from a servlet on jdev 1013
when i run the class alone it works fine

soapMessage.writeTo(output);
SOAPConnectionFactory connf = SOAPConnectionFactory.newInstance();
SOAPConnection conn = connf.createConnection();
SOAPMessage smsg= conn.callsoapMessage, "http://190.0.0.16:8988/mmsc/httpReceiver");
smsg.writeTo(out);
but when running same class same method from jsp page...i have Exception

• Error while sending SOAP message to PI

Hi Guyz,
I have a sync-asyn scneario SOAP to File via PI. When I test the scenario using test tool i.e SOAP UI , scenario runs fine. But when user is trying to send a message they are getting Error message as response . "No SOAP Envelope but 1 {}.
Any idea what is this error. I tried to test the scenario with the same XML message that they are using.
Regards,
Loveena.

Hi Loveena,
What kind of application tries to connect with PI?
Have you tried to mark Use No SOAP Envelope (Point 4. https://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/48/3555240bea31c3e10000000a42189d/frameset.htm)?, in this way you can check that the message at least comes to PI.
Regards.

• Need better info on error when sending a SOAP message - logger ALL

Hi all!
I am calling a UCM content server CheckIn WS from JDeveloper 11g 1.1.1.1.0 (jspx). I've used the WS Data Control and a WSDL for this, and have most of it down besided the CustomMetaData part.
I need to pass in a value for one of the custom metadata fields and when i try to override the parameters of the operation to include it, i get this error - i doubt that this is all the info i get.
I've tried setting the logger.xml levels to ALL (C:\oracle\Middleware\jdeveloper\modules\oracle.odl_11.1.1\server_config\logging.xml) - nothing changed.

primaryFile.put("fileContent", bFile);
primaryFile.put("fileName", uploadedFile.getFilename());
operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("primaryFile", primaryFile);
HashMap customMetadataPropertyRoom = new HashMap();

HashMap customDocMetadata = new HashMap();
customDocMetadata.put("property", customMetadataPropertyRoom);
operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("CustomDocMetaData", customDocMetadata);
The one with the fileContent and fileName works good since it's only one level deep, but it seems that i can't do the same logic with the 2 levels deep.
*<CustomMetaData>*
*<property>*

<value>
</property>
</CustomMetaData>
Please help - i've did not get a minut of sleep and it's already 7 AM :((( It's not the first time i a having all nighters while doing JDeveloper...so little resources on line...
I hope someone can help me out quickly since i am on a short deadline.
Btw, i used the wizard and the wizard did not generate any stubs like the axis does, so i assume it's all integrated...

Hi all!
Just to post the solution to this if anyone ever runs accross this thread...
For some reason i had it bad the first time, don't have time right now to see why but here is what worked for me:
HashMap primaryFile = new HashMap();
primaryFile.put("fileContent", bFile);
primaryFile.put("fileName", uploadedFile.getFilename());
operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("primaryFile", primaryFile);
HashMap customDocMetadata = new HashMap();
HashMap [] properties = new HashMap[1];
HashMap customMetadataPropertyRoom = new HashMap();
customMetadataPropertyRoom.put("name", "xRoom");
customMetadataPropertyRoom.put("value", "SOME ROOM");
properties[0] = customMetadataPropertyRoom;
customDocMetadata.put("property", properties);
operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("CustomDocMetaData", customDocMetadata);
Basically an unbounded wsdl type is an array of objects (HashMaps), makes sense, i thought i had it like this before, must have messed up somewhere...
Good luck all!

• SAAJServet error when sending a SOAP message on 10.1.2

Hi,
We have deployed a server application in OC4J 10.1.2 with a servlet listening for SOAP messages (SAAJ 1.2). If we use Standalone OC4J with SSL enabled and HTTPS communication between client app and server, it works fine, but when we move it to an Application Server environment where client goes HTTPS to the frontend HTTP_Server and then AJP to the OC4J, the following exception appears on the application.log:

The standalone OC4J is 10.1.3, sorry. Nevertheless, we include all the libraries we use (saaj and dependencies) in the appliaction .ear archive that we deploy in both environments. May be a configuration issue?

• ABAP runtime error in sxmb_moni when SOAP message has header with some tags

Hi!!!
I have a problem with sxmb_moni transaction.
If I double-click on a successfully processed
message, then this monitor can't show me
the message details but fails with the following error:
<COPY_AND_PASTE_FROM_SCREEN>
Runtime errors         OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED_NO
Exception              CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL
Occurred on     02.03.2005 at 16:44:21
Access with 'ZERO' object reference not possible.
What happened?
Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "CL_XMS_PROP_STRING============CP " had to be
terminated because one of the
statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
</COPY_AND_PASTE_FROM_SCREEN>
This situation takes place only when I want
to look at a SOAP message which was sent to XI
from .Net platform or was sent to
.Net platform from XI (via SOAP adapter).
In all other cases sxmb_moni works fine.
I know that the problem is connected with some tags from Header record of SOAP message:
<soap:Header>
<wsa:Action>http://aaa.bbb.ccc/MessageResponse</wsa:Action>
<wsa:MessageID>uuid:1838f870-1688-4cfe-8c4f-afe14d98c515</wsa:MessageID>
<wsa:RelatesTo>uuid:308b950f-8cff-4b63-9861-93b041825f9d</wsa:RelatesTo>
<wsa:To>http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/03/addressing/role/anonymous</wsa:To>
<wsse:Security>
<wsu:Timestamp wsu:Id="Timestamp-389847df-8760-4d57-9777-6ce159d85205">
<wsu:Created>2005-03-02T08:54:29Z</wsu:Created>
<wsu:Expires>2005-03-02T08:59:29Z</wsu:Expires>
</wsu:Timestamp>
</wsse:Security>
</soap:Header>
If I take a SOAP message I have problem with, and
I remove all tags from this Header (or remove
the whole Header) and send it from any XML editor
that can send SOAP messages then sxmb_moni hasn't
any problems with showing me details of a such message.
Any hints how to force a .Net platform not to send
a such header or how to force sxmb_moni transaction
not to fail if a such header occurs?
Regards,

Hi Santhosh
1.Check your authorization settings in XI and R/3. Whether the user has sufficient rights to execute the Function Module etc. This is the most common reason for this error.
2.If the XI system was brought online even before the R/3 system then re-activate the communication channels from the Integration directory.
Cheers..

• HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: String index out of range: -7

All -
I'm new to consuming web services in JDeveloper. I'm using Oracle JDEV 10.1.3.3/OC4J. I'm using this version since it is compatible with Oracle EBS 12.1.3. My intent is to pull data from our third party recruitment app (Success Factors) and load that data into Oracle HRIS. I'm already doing this through a .NET application. I'm converting it to be a Java Concurrent Program in EBS. The code listed below is a stub call to verify I'm on the right track. I created a JDeveloper Web Services proxy project. I'm testing it locally on my windows desktop. When I'm able to consume the service successfully, then I'll think about moving it to the EBS server.
I'm getting the following error when I invoke the following service:
HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: String index out of range: -7
End point is: https://api4.successfactors.com/sfapi/v1/soap?wsdl

The other end is throwing back a programming error.
That might be because you are sending incorrect data and the other end fails to validate it.
You might be able to guess based on your C# code. But, since you are using soap one generic solution is available to you.
- Get an http proxy interceptor like wireshark.
- Run it while your C# app runs, collect the http requests from that.
- Run it while running your java code, collect the http requests from that.
Compare the two.

• Message Envelope not found. Probably empty soap message. Error while testing web service

Hi Gurus,
I'm new to web service.
I have created an RFC and a web service to create a pdf. When I try to test the web service, I'm getting an error : "Message Envelope not found. Probably empty soap message." I have tried all the links available in google, but i'm unable to resolve the issue.
Can anyone help me to solve this.
Many thanks in advance.

Which version/platform are you using?
The thing you need to consider here is that the JDev proxy settings do not affect the BPEL server.
So if the BPEL server cannot connect to your webservice, it will not be because of any Jdev setting.
Check the proxy settings on your BPEL server (on 10.1.2 developer install it will be in obsetenv.bat, on 10.1.3 it will be a commandline property of the JVM - see AS Control administration page for the JVM)

By default, the SOAP adapter sends the SOAP message with the content type text/xml.
When you check "Do not use SOAP envelope", the default contnet type is application/xml.
You can change the content type like this: Go to the SOAP receiver communication channel module tab. Add the module "localejbs/AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean" before the standard module. Add the parameter name Transform.ContentType and value text/xml.

• Trying to parse a Soap Message

I'm working on creating webservices that will be consumed by
Director and working with the client programmer, we've come to
recognize the problem, but we don't know how to resolve it.
Problem: the XMLParser doesn't follow href parameters in tags
that refer to subobjects, which result in a #getProp Ref error.
I have a web service method that will return a list of names
and it returns the following XML response:
<?xml version="1.0"
encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="
http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
xmlns:xsd="
http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
xmlns:xsi="
http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
<soapenv:Body>
<getStudentsResponse soapenv:encodingStyle="
http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">
<getStudentsReturn href="#id0"
/>
</getStudentsResponse>
<multiRef id="id0"
soapenc:root="0" soapenv:encodingStyle="
http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"
soapenc:arrayType="xsd:anyType[6]"
xsi:type="soapenc:Array" xmlns:soapenc="
http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">
<multiRef
xsi:type="soapenc:string">Bob B
Bobbly</multiRef>
<multiRef
xsi:type="soapenc:string">Andy A
Anderson</multiRef>
<multiRef
xsi:type="soapenc:string">Carl C
Carlson</multiRef>
</multiRef>
</soapenv:Body>
</soapenv:Envelope>
When it hits the getStudentsReturn element and tries to refer
to a child node, and obviously fails.
The server is Tomcat 5.5, using Axis 1.4 for web services. I
can post a wsdl if desired.
The web service is configured for rpc/encoded style.
What is the way to get out of this particular jam? Neither me
nor the client programmer have extensive knowledge of how Director
(or the relevant Xtra) handles SOAP messages or parse them. I've
stepped through the code and seen the XML parser object render the
response into an object tree, but it doesn't respect the href's.
I can provide follow up to any questions or comments about
this problem.
Regards,
Jeff Vandenberg

Hi Jeff,
While I don't have much experience with web services, I'm
about to
embark on something that involves extensive use of them, so
your post
caught my eye.
If I understand correctly, the href attribute associated with
the
getStudentsReturn node is supposed to "automatically" link to
the
following multiRef array. Is that correct?
Assuming it *did* link correctly, how would this manifest
itself? Is it
not a matter of you the parser watching for href tags and
resolving them
yourself? Why would you not simply provide the multiRef nodes
as
children of the getStudentsReturn node? Is there
documentation somewhere
for the href attribute and this form of linking?
Have you tried using the Flash Asset xtra for parsing, and
does it
behave "correctly"?
