Error in weekly ad - Stargate SG-1 Blu-ray

Well I just wasted an hour, half of that time on my own and half with employees in a Best Buy store trying to find Stargate SG-1 seasons on Blu-ray, they were in the weekly ad. They were very helpful and apologetic but, I still felt like an idiot looking for something that didn't exist.

There is a known bug in the H.264-Bluray export. I assume it has nothing to do with your issue, but perhaps it will give you something to consider.
https://forums.adobe.com/message/6848505#6848505
It appears due to a malformed xmpses file. It creates a problem on import into Encore, and I think it should do the same upon import into Architect or it would be ignored entirely. The test is to delete the xmpses file and see if that avoids the issue.

I have 4gb of ram and running Vista. Dont know why I keep getting this error, its not like I'm burning a full 2 hour movie.
    any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks for the update.
Please remind me, are you still working with Photoshop Elements 8 and Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1, and are your plans to incorporate your new internal hard drive into the Windows Vista 32 bit computer setup?
In Photoshop Elements 8, the path to the Scratch Disks should be Full Editor/Edit Menu/Preferences/Performance and the available Scratch Disks choices there. See Description under the Scratch Disks list for overall suggestions.
In Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1, the Scratch Disks will be found under the program's Edit Menu/Preferences/Scratch Disks.
Just do not move, delete, or rename any files/folders that are source media in a saved/closed project.
Major consideration is to check the new drive periodically to confirm that the drive letter is ot changing on you.
Did you know that you can import a raw format image into Premiere Elements, but you need to install the Camera Raw plug-in in Premiere Elements as well as Photoshop Elements. But, in a 32 bit operation and dealing with the huge dimensions of the raw image, image size is going to be a consideration in Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1.. The program will not let you import a still image with a total pixel count greater than 16777216 pixels.

  • HT1539 How often does your download end with errors - after 3 hours waiting for a Blue Ray download???

error -1303, error -50.  have read all the forums on this... nothing works reliably.  I can rip the BluRay faster than this importing process... takes days sometimes to finally get a full download.
Sometimes I get to 100% downloaded (xx.xx GB of xx.xxGB) and it sits there for hours, sometimes if even fails at that point.  Totally unacceptable.

  • Blu-Ray player won't burn a disc. Error Code "0"

Hi all, haven't made the jump to CC so we are using CS6 for everything.
I just recently installed a SSD and deleted/fresh install of the CS6 suite onto the newly wiped internal HD. Everything works perfect, except Encore.
Encore is refusing to burn to a DVD. I have been using CS6 since it went public and I have never once had this issue for a Blu-Ray or a DVD. Now, it won't even recognize that a disc is in the burner. It keeps saying to put in a DVD or a Blu-Ray DVD, hit OK etc. I do this, repeatedly, to no avail. Now I have tried creating a Blu-Ray Image which works perfectly fine. However I couldn't get that Image to burn succesfully to a blu-ray. Now it burnt without an issue, (using windows default burner which may be the issue), but when put into the blu-ray player it is just a black image with no menus or anything.
Back to Encore, It will trans-code the files without incident, it's when it goes to the burning session it will not accept any disc I put in. This is for both a Blu-Ray and a regular DVD. I keep getting Error Code "0" or simply, "insert a blu ray or dvd media disc an hit OK". Occasionally I got "Adobe Encore Failed" and that is it. Not sure what to do. I've been trying to burn since this morning.
I gave in and bought Nero 2015 just now in the hopes I can burn the blu-ray image correctly. Do I have any other options as this needs to be done today as I have to be an event tomorrow.
    Thank you!
    Jason

Adding to that, I am not getting the message "The Device Is Not Ready" and you can hit Retry and endless number of times with no results. Or just cancel and then it says Building Failed. Thoughts?

  • Blu-ray error message CS6 BUILD

I have created a HD submenu in CS6 Encore to front a (AVCHD camcorder files) video sequence edited in Premiere Pro 6. I have entered Build and begun a Blu-ray disc creation/burning process. As the burn process reaches the final 0.27Gb of data, the disc burning process ceases, and the following error message appears on the monitor screen:: "Blu-ray Error: "device error", Code : 3, Note: "Create Stc Sequence : Fail to write M25 file ". The BD disc burning process has failed and has been terminated. What is the solution to this problem? I can produce DVD discs and Blu-ray discs of the no chapter menu auto-play type without problems.  Thanks for any assistance you can provide. Graham Bleakman, 13th November 2012.

  • Premiere Elements Blu-Ray Burn Fatal Error

How can I make my Premiere Elements 8 burn a Blu-Ray H.264 1920x1080 project without stopping (not crashing) with a “fatal error”(encoding media ~97% > burning disc 0% > fatal error; Adobe Media Encoder – Property Data Invalid”) after 13 hours?
I am trying to burn 629 stills (up to: 1671x1080, TIFF; PSD does not help) in 6 clips.  The stills and clips are ok since I can render them and also burn any 3-5 clips (up to at least 7.47 GB) but not all 6 (7.75 GB, 52:23).  The full project at 7.75 GB does not exceed BD-RE disc capacity (25 GB, full erase).  I can burn the full 7.75 GB, 52:23 project in H.264 1440x1080, just not 1920x1080.
I have followed http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/515/cpsid_51553.html = “Troubleshoot system errors and freezes when burning DVDs or blu-ray discs (Adobe Premiere Elements 8)”.
My Gateway LX6200-01 seems adequate: 2.20 GHz processor = AMD Phenom 9500 Quad core 64-bit; Windows 7 64-bit, Home Premium, latest update; Color Monitor 1280x1024, 32 bit color; 8 GB RAM; C:\(program disc) = 478 GB free; D:\(photo disc) = 463 GB free; E:\(media cache) = 92 GB free; F:\(disc encoding cache) = 258 GB free; ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics adapter (latest driver update); BD-RE = LGE BH08LS20, firmware 2.0 (latest update), set to DMA mode; PRE8 & PSE8: 64-bit, latest update.
All startup items and services disabled with msconfig.

Steve: Thanks for your good guidance.
Yes, I can output to an MPEG .m2t file, either H.264 1440x1080i 30 or H.264 1920x1080i 30.  I can also burn H.264 1920x1080 either directly or with the .m2t file to BD-RE discs (as long as I shorten the disc name to less than 12 characters).  But I can not burn either 1440x1080 or 1920x1080 to BD-R, either directly or with .m2t files.  When I try, the BD-burner "thrashes" for ~5 minutes before PRE8 quits with "disc error" (but PSE8 will "burn data" to a BD-R disc).
The MS website says that my LGE BH08LS20 is compatible with Windows 7 64-bit and I have updated its firmware to 2.00 which LGE says is Windows 7 compatible.
    Any ideas?

  • Encore 5.1 on OS 10.5.8 burns Blu-ray discs but crashes on DVD build of same project

I've spent a few weeks creating a dual-layered Blu-ray Disc with 20 menus and 44 timelines ranging in length from 9 seconds to 18 minutes.
The end product will be a dual pack containing both the replicated Blu-ray Disc and DVD.
I pre-transcoded both the BD and DVD and linked the assets appropriately. The Blu-ray Disc builds correctly and seems to not have any issues.
When I try to output to DVD Encore crashes almost immediately. I've also tried to save just a DVD image and it crashes in the same place.
I don't really want to recreate this entire program in DVDSP but that is my plan.
Any other ideas would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

So I fixed the issue by deleting all the ac3 and m4v (including the linked m2v) files out of the timlines ans replacing with the orginal Self-Contained Reference Movies from FCP7. Then I let Encore transcode and build overnight, presto in the morning one working DVD.
Now I just need to transcode again for Blu-ray or revert to a backup...

  • "Could not create ac3" error when burning Blu-ray

I've spent the last week designing a Blu-ray in Encore CS5.  Upon burning, I was given the error message "Cannot create '_sessionfiles_Dsf_session_1_audio.ac3", and the burn failed (after going for seven hours).  I really don't even know where to begin with this.  The Blu-ray is about 80% full (20 GB) and includes multiple timelines and several menus (one of which has audio).  No pop-ups.  It should be a fairly straightforward project.  However, it's given me problem after problem and has taken way too much time.  Can anyone offer insight before I spend another week tracking down the problem?  Thanks.

In the last few days, things have gone from bad to great and back to bad, and it's been non-stop work.  I freed up a ton of space on the computer and backed it up.  Then the computer gave me a kernel panic, which happened so often that I had to restore the whole computer.  I don't know if that's related to the Encore issue.  Then I tried to burn again, and it seemed to be working until it gave me an error message that said "Blu-ray Error: 'device error', code '3', Note: ".  So I looked around online and decided to export as an ISO disc image file.  That worked fine.  Then I tried burning a Blu-ray using third-party software, which failed halfway through.  Next I tried burning using Disc Utility.  It got all the way to the end and said "Could not verify" and failed.  I tried playing it in my Blu-ray player anyway.  For the first time, it actually worked.  The movie and the Scene Selection menu work fine.  But when I try to go to Special Features, nothing happens.  The Blu-ray is supposed to go to the Special Features menu at the end of the main movie, but it just goes to a black screen after that and locks up.  Now I'm really lost.  Any more suggestions?  Thanks.

  • More errors for blu-ray in cs5

ok. so i keep taking you guys' advice for this project, and i keep advancing a little bit further along in my workflow, but now i have A NEW error. lol. i think i know what the first half of it is, but not sure about the other.... i did a search on this error and found some helpful things... but it still persists.... but this is the error:
"Blu-Ray error: file already exists, code: 6, Note: Video buffer underflows.
Total bitrate is too high near item = 2.869533 seconds - Recommended IG PTS
    is 54009000 (in 90 khz)."
after reading on here i found 2 things. first thig i found was that Bill said he had the same problem with a project, and basically what he was saying sounded ALOT like what i was doing. so per his advice i scrapped the whole project, and started over again (imported assets, imported raw menu data from PS files, and went again) error still persists. i also followed some advice Jeff gave on another thread (i can't remember what, now), but that didnt seem to solve the problem either. i think he ALSO mentioned something about the bit-rate spiking during transcode, but i just kept that on back burner... not wanting to transcode it all again, JUST yet.i think Jeff also noted on how Encore only allows up to 6 pages in multi-page (which i did not know) and mine goes up to 8 for main menu, and 16 for pop-up menu. (so i'm guessing i need to break them apart by 5 page menus, each and have the "next" button on the last, link to the first button on the next multi-page menu, would that fix that? defeats the purpose of multi-menu, but for the pop-up its not as important i guess, and teh main menu its only motion with audio, not video so i can choose otehr audio for the subsequent multi-page menus. i'm about to attempt it, anyway)
my question is... what the heck does the second part of the error mean? like, could someone translate that to english? i encoded the thing with AME as a blu-ray compliant mpeg2 (to preserv PrePro chapter stops), high quality variable 1 pass, at 4,5,and 6, mps (its standard definition, from analogue tape, so i don't see the point in going to 35 mbps, lol), with the audio on Dolby ac3. if anyone needs me to give more details on my entire workflow on this project i can, i'm just being general here in case someone already knows exactly what this is, and how to fix it. should i change it to 2 pass? would that maybe catch something and fix it the second time over?
as i said in another thread, i've done MANY dvd's with encore, and never really had any problems at all (but all videos were straight from digital sources, in adobe recognizeable formats), but this blu-ray project (the first i've ever attempted) is KICKING MY BUTT!

Both multi-page normal and popup menus can work quite well in Encore, but it takes a bit of effort to work around the limitations and anomalies. One excellent source for canned menus, tutorials, and advice is John Geddes of www.precomposed.com.
One of the biggest issues with Encore is that much of what it implements is limited by compatibility with the DVD spec, thus limiting what would normally be possible with Blu-ray. Two of the worst of these is the 2-bit depth limitation on button highlights and the limitation of 18 buttons per menu.
Blu-ray has two modes for menus, HDMV or Movie Mode, and BD-J. BD-J menus have a full 32 bit depth, but require at least NetBlender DoStudio to create them.
Movie mode menus (IG streams) are 8-bits deep. In most cases, you won't notice the difference unless you have a lot of different colors on the screen at the same time, and this applies only to the menus themselves, since the underlying video is a completely separate layer. For normal menus, the video layer can contain the normal state of the buttons with full color, but you are still restricted by the 2-bit depth highlight limitation of Encore.
For popup menus, all of the button image must be contained in the popup itself, and Encore supports the full 8 bits for the normal state. This is because, unlike normal menus where the normal-state buttons are "built-in" to the motion menu, the popup can appear over any part of the underlying video. Actually you can make very nice menus with only 8 bits, because you also have a full 8-bit alpha channel to work with in Photoshop, and the integration with designing in PS & En is very good.
We have a vested interest in helping Encore users because we make BluStreak Premaster, the solution for Encore users to replicate for mass distribution.
    http://blustreak.dvdafteredit.com/
We are working on some tutorials to illustrate how to create some very nice results, and hope to begin posting them on our web site in a few weeks.

  • Blu-ray error: "device error", Code "3", Note: "AS_StorageError = -97064

    Hello,
I am becoming increasingly frustrated with Encore as it now seems that I cannot burn a bluray to a disc. I would love to be able to talk to someone in support at Adobe but that does't seem to be an option. I have attempted to burn a video that is 18.45GB (transcoded) to a 25GB BD-R disc with the following error received on both attempts:
    "Blu-ray error: "device error", Code "3", Note: "AS_StorageError = -97064"
I don't understand this error because there should be plenty of room on the disc? I also had an issue a few weeks ago with Encore preventing me from burning a 20.4GB transcoded movie onto a 25GB disc. This may be unrelated and I am aware of the issues in Encore regarding the calculation of file size, but why am I now experiencing issues all the sudden?
    My configuration:
    Mid-2012 MacPro
    OSx 10.8.5
Adobe Creative Suite CS5.5 (Encore CS5.1)
    Internal MCE Technologies Blu-ray burner
I appreciate any help and support!!

The Code 3 AS_StorageError comes in many variations.
Google: encore "AS_StorageError=-97060" and you'll find a bunch issues. Now replace the 97060 with your specific code (97064) and you'll see there are no finds other than your thread.
These all appear to have physical storage, hard drive, or media issues. Keep in mind that for Blu-ray especially, Encore uses a huge amount of temporary storage.

  • Blu-ray Error - Code 6

Jeff I NEED your help!!!! I have read all they say about you and your accurate answers when being attacked my many lol.
I´m trying to build a Bluray project and it marks no errors when checking it but then after a while building the iso image i get this :

I have imported all again and again and still get the same. Let me mention that I am not a pro so I´m sure i did something wrong, but i don´t know what.
I hope ypu can help me. I am using m4v´s and wav´s for my movies exported from pro cs6 and using pre designed menus from Pro motion. I have no problem when building a dvd following their steps in their tutorials but when it comes to bluray...I can just kick myself. I´ve been doing this for 2 weeks now and ran out of options.

  • CS6 - Blu-ray Error: "Fatal Error", Code: "6"

    Greetings,
I have gone through about 15 Blu Ray Disks in the past week, trying to burn one wedding project.
When i burn to DVD - its fine... but when i choose Blu Ray, it gets about 1 hour in and then comes up with 'Blu-ray Error: "Fatal Error", Code: "6".
I have tried to re-export all files for burning, in two different blu ray formats - but it continues to come up with the same.
I have used Encore for years but have just upgraded to CS6 and im getting these errors.
What am i doing to cause this?
    Thx,

I purchased the blu-ray of The Hunger Games and it came with a code to redeem for a digital copy. I redeemed the code in iTunes and the movie downloaded fine, but the "EXTRAS" have been downloading for 2 weeks! Everytime I launch iTunes it starts the download again and the counter keeps going UP, at one point it said it would take 3 weeks. I have paused and restarted the download, I have deleted the download, nothing works to finish or stop this download! Does anyone have a clue what's up?

ps when syncing it jumps through steps 1 - 4 real fast, i seem to remeber iphone showing the number of tracks transferring and names, but i see nothing? then it sits on 5 saying "waiting for changes to be applied"

  • Error Message sending a job to compressor and Blu-Ray

I am having trouble with a job in FCP 7 and sending it to compressor.  it runs and about 20 minutes until completion I get a failed message.  "Failed: Quicktime Error: 0"  on my m2v file.  What could be causing this issue?
I also get a quicktime error while trying to send my project from Share to blu-ray?
    Any help would be appreciated!

If I am right, error 0 means that you cannot copy the source onto the destination.
Sure that you have enough space for your project ? or that your project is not too big for FCP ?

  • Error MessageDuring Creation of Blu-ray Disc in FCP and Compressor 3.5

Yesterday I spent more than 7 hours trying to create and burn a Blu-ray disc (actually an AVCHD disc on DVD-5 media) in both FCP 7 and Compressor 3.5. In every case, disc creation would go to completion of the encoding of the video and audio files, but when I was asked to insert a disk, I would do so and the disc would spin for about 30 seconds and then I would get the following error message: "There was an error burning your disc. The bit rate exceeded the maximum allowable." This message cannot be a correct description of the problem because I used the Blu-ray template that Apple provides in FCP 7 and Compressor 3.5 to create my disc. This template limits the bit rate to a maximum of 15 mbs and my video was only 15 minutes in length.
Additional information as follows: I am using an Early 2008 Mac Pro 8-core. I have Final Cut Studio 3 installed with all of the latest updates. I am running Snow Leopard 10.6.4 (latest updates all installed),and I have experienced no other problems with FCP 7 or Compressor 3.5. My Mac Pro's internal superdrive is functioning fine, and in fact, I eventually took my FCP7 project and rendered it to a QT reference movie and used that in Adobe's Encore CS5 to burn and AVCHD disc using the same internal DVD burner on my Mac Pro and it worked perfectly.
I am seeking any suggestions for how to address the problem (whatever it is) that gives this error message. Would you recommend a reinstall of the applications in Final Cut Studio 3? Other suggestions? Has anyone seen this error message when trying to burn Blu-ray or AVCHD discs from FCP 7 or Compressor 3.5?
Thank you in advance for your help.
    Tom

    Guys,
I am deeply appreciative of all of the suggestions and help received on this issue. I apologize for not responding sooner, but i have been looking at the problem described in this thread from numerous perspectives.
Jeremy, you may well have hit upon the solution, and I am trying your suggestion now. I did not realize that when you selected the Blu-ray template and directed it to a DVD burner that would make an AVCHD that you could alter the bit rate settings. I looked at the default bit rate that Apple sets when you select this template and I found that it allowed a maximum of slightly over 17 MBs and an average of 15 MBs. That is too high for an AVCHD disk, and thus the error message that I am getting may well be correct and not in error as I previously thought.
I have found that I prepared Blu-ray AVCHD disk as recently as late April with no problems so I don't know why I have not run into this problem of too high a bit rate before, but I had not. It may be that I used a Custom Present that I prepared and set my own bit rate for those disks.
In any case, I am trying a run now where I have set the bit rate to a maximum of 15 and an average of 13. We shall see if that still produces the error message. I shall post my results when I know them.
Again, thanks to all of you for your fine help.
    Tom
