    Hi,
    The SAP DBSL (dboraslib.so) will search for the Oracle client shared library in the following paths in this order of precedence:
    On 64-Bit platforms:
    a. /oracle/client/10x_64/instantclient
    b. /oracle/client/10x_64/lib
    c. /oracle/db_sw/10x_64/instantclient
    d. /oracle/db_sw/10x_64/software/lib
    On 32-Bit platforms:
    a. /oracle/client/10x_32/instantclient
    b. /oracle/client/10x_32/lib
    c. /oracle/db_sw/10x_32/instantclient
    d. /oracle/db_sw/10x_32/software/lib
    If the client can't be found in the first path, then the second will be searched and so on. The instant client path is the same for Oracle Release 10.1 and 10.2. The path can only differ from 64 bit to 32 bit.
    Thus, to solve your problem, create a dynamic link in the oracle client directory like this (for Unix 64-Bit):
    cd /oracle/client/10x_64
    ln -s /oracle/client/10x_64/lib lib

    I also have received the same error after adding a patch (to solve the DNS cache poisoning) using the -u "unconditional" option :

    when i tried to get the 108994-27 patch from sunsolv web site I found that this patch is deleted from their DB and considered withdrawn:

  • [SOLVED] /usr/lib/aspell-0.60/xray.cset does not exist...

    Update:
    I'd still like to understand what this /usr/lib/aspell-0.60/xray.cset file is all about. But apearantly I don't really need it. I fired up my xubuntu installation to spellcheck the LyX document. And because the  ~/.aspell.en.pws on Arch had more added words in it I was about to copy it over the Xubuntu copy... Fortunately I compared them first and noticed that the working Xubuntu  ~/.aspell.en.pws  was a 212 line file beginning with "personal_ws-1.1 en 211" (evidently reflecting the number of words @ 1 per line) while the broken ~/.aspell.en.pws on Arch was a 299 line file beginning with "personal_ws-1.1 en 299 xray" Considering I had recently deleted one word/line from it the only part that didn't make sense was the word xray... changed that line to "personal_ws-1.1 en 298" and aspell is working again.
    But I still don't know where the word "xray" came from, nor why aspell thought it meant there should be an "/usr/lib/aspell-0.60/xray.cset" file... ???????
    End Update (Original post below)
    I think I did something stupid... And it broke aspell.
    What I did was: I was spellchecking a LyX document (which uses aspell) and
    I accidentally added a misspelled word. Whenever I've done that in the past
    I simply opened my ~/.aspell.en.pws with vim, and deleted the misspelled
    word from the list. But this time I'd been using aspell indirectly and
    while I closed LyX's pop-up spellchecking utility before I switched to a
    terminal window, I didn't close LyX itself. (I didn't think it would matter
    as long as it wasn't actively spellchecking at the time...) Well I got rid
    of the misspelled word OK. When I switched back to LyX every thing seemed
    to work normally until I pressed <F7> to start up the spellchecker again.
    At that point LyX crashed...
    When I try to use aspell from the command line in a terminal window I get
    this:
    JtWdyP -> /home/jtwdyp/tmp
    >
    JtWdyP -> /home/jtwdyp/tmp
    > echo "test txt a tst file" > test.txt
    JtWdyP -> /home/jtwdyp/tmp
    > aspell -c test.txt
    Unhandled Error: The encoding "xray" is not known. This could also mean that the file "/usr/lib/aspell-0.60/xray.cset" could not be opened for reading or does not exist.

    I've tried logging into my root account and:

    But aspell still fails with the same error, and the file:
    /usr/lib/aspell-0.60/xray.cset
    still doesn't exist...
    Next it occurred to me that for all I know, reinstalling with "pacman -S"
    might not be as complete as installing a new package so I thought that if I
    removed aspell first, I might be able to get a cleaner install...

    I'm not so sure I want to remove enchant & lyx to test that theory...
    So I guess I gotta ask, how do I go about getting a replacement

  • [SOLVED] freeimage: /usr/lib/libfreeimage.so.3 exists in filesystem

    Issue:
    I can't upgrade.
    $ pacman -Syu
    error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
    freeimage: /usr/lib/libfreeimage.so.3 exists in filesystem
    Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded
    I check whether a package, possibly from AUR, is responsible:
    # pacman -Qo
    error: No package owns /usr/lib/libfreeimage.so.3
    No.
    Apparently this happened to other users as well. I was recommended the following solution:
    $ pacman -Sf freeimage
    Thanks to jelly1, Hattara-pilvi and Tucos of #archlinux!

    $ pacman -Ql libpng|grep /lib/
    libpng /usr/lib/
    libpng /usr/lib/libpng.a
    libpng /usr/lib/libpng.so
    libpng /usr/lib/libpng14.a
    libpng /usr/lib/libpng14.so
    libpng /usr/lib/libpng14.so.14
    libpng /usr/lib/libpng14.so.14.5.0
    libpng /usr/lib/pkgconfig/
    libpng /usr/lib/pkgconfig/libpng.pc
    libpng /usr/lib/pkgconfig/libpng14.pc
    A tip: run pacman -Qo on the file in question, either you put that symlink there yourself or strange things are happening on your system.

    For all the problems I've been having I wish I hadn't upgraded. Can't seem to get the old version to work anymore either.

  • ERROR: ld.so: object '/opt/SUNWut/lib/libusbut.so.1' from LD_PRELOAD cannot

    When I try to run a libusb app via utusbrun or by just setting the LD_PRELOAD I got this message.
    ERROR: ld.so: object '/opt/SUNWut/lib/libusbut.so.1' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored.
    Some one that got any idea?

    Is the application a setuid or setgid executable? The LD_PRELOAD environment variable is ignored by setuid and setgid executables unless the preload library lives in one of the default library directories and has its setuid bit set. (See 'man ld.so' for details.) If you can live with the security risks then you could try copying the libusbut.so.1 file into /usr/lib and turning on its setuid bit. You'll also need to copy libut.so.1 and libutdev.so.1 into /usr/lib but you shouldn't need to turn on their setuid bits.
    I don't know of any security issues with libusbut.so.1 being used in this way, but it's not safe to just assume that it will be secure. If your app is setuid or setgid and this approach solves the problem then it would be worth checking with Sun to find out whether they believe that it's safe to have libusbut executed like this by a setuid or setgid program. The answer might depend on how the program manages its privileges so it would be helpful if you tell Sun what libusb program(s) you're using.
    A better way to proceed would be to try to get rid of the setuid or setgid bit on the application.

    The package installs, and then this prints out.
    What can I do to fix it?
    Note: this happened after a system update

    Alright, I read the thread and preformed
    sudo pacman -Syyf <all packages updated>
    but the option wasn't found (-f)
    so i did
    sudo pacman -Syyu <all packages updated>
    and it spit out several hundered lines consisting of:
    webkitgtk2: /usr/share/webkitgtk-1.0/images/panIcon.png exists in filesystem
    except with different packages and files
    help?

  • How to fix CUPS corrupted (Dyld Error Message:   Library not loaded: /usr/lib/libcups.2.dylib)?

    Hello,
    After trying to change my printer settings on CUPS administrator area to allow to share my wirelless printer to my VirtualBox environment (somehow virtualbox doesn't detect my wirelless printer) I notice that this area stop to work. After it I try to update  the CUPS by installing a new version. I admint that I am a newby in unix environment and I downloaded the  CUPS v1.6.1 and installed through the terminal,
    ./configure
    sudo make
    make install
    After restarting apple site no longer opened like also my home page. Other programs also stopped working and always warn about the same error described bellow. I posted my last try which was reinstall my system Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6.8). Does anyone deal with this problem before? How can I reinstall at least the operation system or just fixing this library will solve the problem?
    Note: The reason of using virtualbox is that I need to use a prescribed software that only works in windows environment and since I need to make work in other places the wireless printing is the only viable way to do this.

    Here is another option.
    I had the same problem with my Mac OSX System 10.8.4 after update cups from 1.6.2 to 1.6.3.
    I have a MacBookPro with the same system version and copy the libcups.2.dylib file form /usr/lib/ then replace the error file in my other Mac.
    1. Install cups 1.6.2 again
    2. Replace the file libcups.2.dylib in /usr/lib/ directory with this one libcups.2.dylib
    Note: I added the link if you dont have an other mac in the same version available.
    This works for me.
