What, exactly, is that? To my understanding, the only things that would pertain to would be OSTs, PSTs, and the like...not candidates for opening on a BB.
Please clarify.

Sending smartform output as PDF attachment, Error opening PDF attachment
Hi Experts,
I am using the code form the following link to send a smartform output as PDF attachment. I can able to see the message, but can not open PDF document.
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/snippets/convertSmartformtoPDFformat&
The information should be on my smartform are some text, company logo and a barcode.
With all of these received error: "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired."
I tried different ways like only text, text with company logo, text with barcode. I got the following errors:
An unrecognized token 'Td0' was found
There was problem reading this document(16).

Does anyone have idea of these ? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Error while trying to open an attachment sent through email in smartform
Hi,
My requirement is to send the smartform through email as PDF attachment.I am able to send the mail.But when I try to open the attachment I am getting error as 'Adobe reader could not open the attachment 'advance shipment notification.PDF' because it is either not the supported file type or the file has been corrupted(for example, it was sent as an email attachment and was't correctly decoded)'.What does it mean?
Can anyone give me a proper solution for this?
It's very urgent.Useful answers will be rewarded.
Thanks,
HemaHi,
Are you using any webdispatcher or some proxy? Is there any URL filter configured in between?
If yes then I think you have to allow these pages.
Regards,
Vamshi. -
Title says it all. If I try to "open" an attachment, the download dialogue comes up and the progress bar begins to fill, then when it should be complete I get the message:
"The download cannot be saved because an unknown error occurred
Please Try Again."
I can still save the files, but then I have to delete them (and that's just a hassle). Any help would be appreciated!Tools, Options, Attachments, Incoming. Then set to your prefered PDF reader.
An update has reset this to the internal PDF viewer rather than sticking with the one you had before. This reader does not work on my machine. -
Error while opening PDF attachment sent via mail
Hi,
I am attaching PDF file to PO in me22n and sending the same file as attachment in the mail to the vendor using class CL_BCS.
The mail is sent to the vendor successfully and they are able to successfully open the PDF attachment. But in some cases the mail is successfully received but while opening the attachment it is giving the error as file is corrupted.
Please help me to resolve this issue.
Thanks and regards,
JayashreeHi,
I would like to know what font type, you are using in the forms.
Ideally it should be HELVETICA .
If you are using any other font in your style/form,try changing it to HELVETICA & Test.
Also Check the OTF data at the call of gen. FM,before converting it to PDF.

AjithHi Ajith !!
Please refer this link :
http://www.sapdevelopment.co.uk/reporting/rep_spooltopdf.htm
Here a spool output is converted into PDF and then sent as an email.
I think instead of using FM to change the width, try the logic mentioned in the link.
Also instead of FM CONVERT_TO_OTF use :
1. CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF
I hope this should solve the problem.
I had referred the same program from the link and it worked absolutely fine. Also check the adobe acrobat version, i guess old version doesnt support SAP, though not very sure.
Best regards,
Prashant -
There was an error opening document. Access denied. Cant open pdf attached to emails
I just upgraded to Acrobat Reader x and can't open files attached to emails in Outlook 2010. If I save the file, I can open it. I assume it has something to do with protected view or such but can't find where to change settings. I can open .doc and .xlsx files attached to emails so it seems to be only an issue with .pdf files attached to emails in Outlook. Suggestions?
To make things simple for you, here are two ways for you fix the problem:
A. Fix One PC
Launch Adobe Acrobat Reader X
Go to: Edit > Preferences...
Click on "General" in the left pane.
Uncheck "Enable Protected Mode at startup"
You will prompted with a dialog box to remind you to close the application for the change to go into effect. Click Yes.
Click OK to save your change.
Exit Adobe Reader
B. Fix Several PCs in Your Organization
Following the above steps aren't practical if you have Adobe Acrobat installed on 1,000+ computers in 30 regional offices! Push this registry setting using your standard software deployment software.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\10.0\Privileged]
"bProtectedMode"=dword:00000000
Microsoft Outlook and other email clients
I hear this will also fix the "There was an error opening this document. Access denied." error that is occurring with any email client, including Microsoft Outlook Express; Microsoft Outlook 2010, 2007, 2003; Eudora; Mozilla Thunderbird.

Error in opening PDF attachment sent using SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1
Hi all,

I tried seaching on SDN, but did not get useful answer.
Can you please help me in resolving this error?

have instructed the basis consultant to follow certain procedure and finally the issue is
solved.
I suggest you to consult basis consultants.

Error opening or saving certain attachements in Mail.app
I have encountered a problem with certain attachments in Mail.app. I couldn't find any solution on the Internets, but I eventually figured it out and thought I should post it here.
This has been a rare issue (only happened twice so far) and may be related to OmniGraffle files.
The problem: When clicking to open the attachment or trying to save the attachment, I got the error: Mail was unable to save the attachment “file.name” to disk. Please verify your downloads folder exists and is writable.
The solution:
1. I found the message in the mail folder.
2. I made a copy of it (just to be safe) and opened the copy in TextEdit.
3. Within that message, I found the following header marking the start of the offending file:
--Apple-Mail-4-912721465
Content-Disposition: attachment;
filename=file.extension.zip
Content-Type: application/zip;
x-mac-auto-archive=yes;
name="file.extension.zip"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
4. I changed both references to "file.extension.zip" to just "file.zip"
5. Save and double-click on the file to open it in Mail.app
6. Now the offending file should appear as a folder and you can open and save it. The file you really want access to is within this folder.
Notes: Both times my problem was with an OmniGraffle file. Maybe this is a clue, or maybe not. Also, I believe the problem has something to do with the file being zipped (or the way Mail.app handles .zip files), but have no proof!
I have no idea why this problem is occurring, but if anyone has anything to add, please do-- I'm posting here mainly to share a strange solution to a strange problem. The more info the better.These permissions bugs in Lion are pretty prevalent and I've had to reset a lot of application defaults since migrating between machines. Do the following and let me know if it works:
Copy your Mail and Mail Downloads folders in ~/Library/ ( where "~" is referring to your User). Paste these folders your copied into something on your desktop as a back up.
Then navigate to ~/Library/Preferences and find the two .plist files named, "com.apple.mail.plist" and "com.apple.mail.plist.lockedfile" and delete them.
Relaunch Mail.
Relaunching should cause a new .plist file to generate that reads as defualt and using the contents of your ~/Library/Mail folder your OS X Mail shoudl look like it did.
I have issues changing prefs in mail and seem to have a bigger bug at work since I continually have to trash my mail.plist once a week or else I can't connect to my SMTP server. But this always works and I get rid of the, "...writing preferences to your disk has failed..." message. -

I get an unknown error when I try to open an attachment in Outlook
I have not been able to open an attachment in my Outlook mail account on my Droid Incredible since November 30th. Before then, I had no problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe reader and when I check view, I get a message that says "unknown error." I can forward the message to my Yahoo mail and open the attachment there. Any suggestions?
Hi, Rohil,
I am not sure I know what the email client is. I am using Yahoo Mail on my droid and my sub account is Outlook.
Thanks,
Trudy

How do you get multiple plots to show up on the same graph?
I am trying to get multiple (20) plots to show up on the same XY graph. My data set is a 2D array, which exits a for loop. The ultimate goal is to have one plot show up after each iteration of the for loop. I can only get all 20 to show up at once
