Error: OUTBINDING CO_TXT_MMF_ENGINETYPE

Hello,
I try to create in XI mapping from one file to two idocs of different type. During tests I'm getting error in SXMB_MONI:
<SAP:Category>XIServer</SAP:Category>
  <SAP:Code area="OUTBINDING">CO_TXT_MMF_ENGINETYPE</SAP:Code>
  <SAP:P1 />
  <SAP:P2 />
  <SAP:P3 />
  <SAP:P4 />
  <SAP:AdditionalText />
  <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
  <SAP:Stack>Messages in multi message format can be sent to one adapter engine only</SAP:Stack>
  <SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
I read about changing occurence of idocs from 1 to N but I think it would help only when I would have to create many idocs of the same type. Is it possible to run my scenario without using BPM? Both Idocs are sent to the same receiver.
I will be grateful for any advices.
Best Regards,
Agnieszka

    Kittu,
    You are trying to do Multi Mapping with a receiver IDOC adapter.
    Unfortunately, multimapping workds only with adapters of the Adapter Engine and so, it will notwork with IDOC and HTTP adapters.

  • SP14 Multi-mapping - error in receiver idoc adapter

    Hi,
    I have a scenario where a business service should send some XML to SAP CRM. I get the file via a sender JMS adapter and try to post it to CRM via a receiver IDOC adapter.
    I have created a multimapping (1:N - 1 XML file to many Idocs) as should in the repository.
    In the configuration under Interface Determination, I have chosen 'RB_SPLIT' and selected the interface multimapping.
    It should be pointed out, that when testing both interface and message mapping i get no error. All idocs seem to be created as they should.
    When testing the setup 'real life' the message fails. The error message in the monitor says:
    - <!--  Call Adapter
      -->
    - <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="">
      <SAP:Category>XIAdapter</SAP:Category>
      <SAP:Code area="IDOC_ADAPTER">ATTRIBUTE_WRONG_INTF</SAP:Code>
      <SAP:P1>InterfaceCollection</SAP:P1>
      <SAP:P2 />
      <SAP:P3 />
      <SAP:P4 />
      <SAP:AdditionalText />
      <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
      <SAP:Stack>Unable to interpret IDoc interface InterfaceCollection</SAP:Stack>
      <SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
      </SAP:Error>
    Notice that the above error is when trying to send only 1 record, which in turn then should result in only 1 idoc.
    If trying to send multiple XML records, i get the following error:
    - <!--  Technical Routing
      -->
    - <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="">
      <SAP:Category>XIServer</SAP:Category>
      <SAP:Code area="OUTBINDING">MMF_ENGINETYPE</SAP:Code>
      <SAP:P1 />
      <SAP:P2 />
      <SAP:P3 />
      <SAP:P4 />
      <SAP:AdditionalText />
      <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
      <SAP:Stack>A system error occurred in the outbound binding</SAP:Stack>
      <SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
      </SAP:Error>
    In the monitor in the payload of 'Request message mapping' I see as many Maindocument, Submaindocument pairs as should be Idocs.
    Now i really don't know how to interpret the error messages in both cases, so I'm a little lost here...
    It should be pointed out that the idoc being used everywhere in this scenario, has not been modified - from all places it is being used (and only exists) in the 'Imported objects | Idocs' place.
    Also the Idoc is also being used as Inbound interface - so no mistakes here either.
    I really hope someone can help me here, as I'm otherwise pretty stuck in this case.
    Best regards,
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,
    I have exactly the same type of scenario (under SPS14 and now also SPS15), sending an XML message over JMS to XI and trying a multi-mapping to many IDocs (actually a list of orders in XML is mapped to n ORDERS Idocs).
    I also face problems doing so, when I use the IDoc Adapter as outbound in the Receiver Agreement. I receive the following error:
    <i>CO_TXT_MMF_ENGINETYPE
    Messages in multi message format can be sent to one adapter engine only</i>
    However, I tested the same scenario by just changing the Receiver Agreement to a File Communication Channel and - surprise, surprise - it works. One file per IDoc is created.
    Of course, this is not what we want to accomplish, but when I checked this piece of documentation (sorry another link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/42/ed364cf8593eebe10000000a1553f7/content.htm
    the IDoc adapter is not listed in the list of Adapters that are supported. Does that mean, that this feature is not supported for generating IDocs? Maybe that's a question for a SAP OSS Message?
    I hope that helped you a little further - if you find out more I'd be happy to learn about it.
    regards,
    Peter

  • Multi Mapping in IDOCs

    Hi all i have a senario in which i have to send 990 IDocs at a single point of time not more then tht.
    I have done the mapping and changed the occurences of the IDocs node by externally exporting it and then importing it back again.
    I also needed to repeat the main node so i changed the message ocrrences in the Message mapping to 0.. unbounded.
    The problem i am facing is like it is showing errors in the end to end.
    The error describtion is as follows:
    Category>XIServer</SAP:Category>
      <SAP:Code area="OUTBINDING">CO_TXT_MMF_ENGINETYPE</SAP:Code>
      <SAP:P1 />
      <SAP:P2 />

      <SAP:Stack>Messages in multi-message format can only be sent to one Adapter Engine</SAP:Stack>
      <SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
      </SAP:Error>
    is it not possible to change the occurences for the IDoc Message. If so how can i do this without it.
    Rgds
    Aditya

    Hi,
    I don't think that you need to make occurence change in mapping.
    1) First export your idoc change the occurance then import
    2) Then do the mapping *Don't change occurance for source idoc in mapping
    check the weblog again
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/12/04/xi-idoc-bundling--the-trick-with-the-occurance-change
    btw if you can put wht the entire scenario is dat will be better.

  • Message split - XML to IDOCs - (1:n) mapping

    I have to split an incoming XML(in idoc DEBMDM format) from MDM to 2 Idocs (ADRMAS & DEBMAS).

    Ram,
    Message Split using Graphical Mapping that ur using now supports adapter which are on same J2EE engine .
    In ur case Ur trying to post IDOCS ( I suppose ) which is not
       supported in using Graphical mapping.
    U need to change the design.

  • Messages in multi-message format can only be sent to one Adapter Engine

    Hi,
    Using XI 7.0 SPS 12 I have a scenario Single Flat File->XI->Multiple Messages to ECC.
    Due to an annoying limitation/bug in ECC we have to send workorders in to be processed as individual transactions.  This means generating seperate calls to ECC from PI.
    I've adjusted my message map (No BPM) to split the source messages out, but when it calls the XI adapter to send them to ECC I get the following:
    <!-- Technical Routing -->
    <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30"
    xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
    SOAP:mustUnderstand="">

         <SAP:P2/>
         <SAP:P3/>

         <SAP:AdditionalText/>
         <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace=""/>

         Messages in multi-message format can only be sent to one Adapter Engine
         </SAP:Stack>
         <SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
    </SAP:Error>
    I am generating multiple structures under
    messages/message1/xx_my_structure_repeated_at_this_level
    which gives the correct amount of payloads in moni.
    I believe this error is because the http/idoc adapters dont go through the AE and it is the AE that splits the multiple messages into individual calls.  Is there a clean workaround which doesnt involve BPM or intermediate writing to disk etc?
    Thanks
    James.
    Points awarded where appropriate.

    <i>I believe this error is because the http/idoc adapters dont go through the AE and it is the AE that splits the multiple messages into individual calls.</i>
    Perfectly correct
    <i>Is there a clean workaround which doesnt involve BPM or intermediate writing to disk etc?</i>
    May be writin a module.
    Otherwise to avoid other development time, go for BPM.

  • Erreur CO_TXT_CHANNEL_PASSWORD

    Hi,
    I am doing a call to an SAP java mapping. It used to work. But from one day, we have the following error:
    OUTBINDING CO_TXT_CHANNEL_PASSWORD
    Unable to read user password from communication channel of type Error when accessing the secure store (access ID = 46A53D24C17019E2E1000000A0962536) Error while reading from the secure store: ERROR_UNKNOWN: Cannot find entry in secure store (SECSTORE,023)
    And I can assure you that I do have the right user and password.
    Looks loke the secure store not well. But looking in transaction secstore does not help as everything look fine.
    Do you have any idea on that point? Any help apreciated

    umm...yeah....that does not solve the problem.  This is a fresh idoc import.  Even if I do do that...I will get the same error...
    i have been doing some more digging and found the following.  On the R/3 side, if I see the technical attributes in WE30 for the ZMM_CREMAS01_EXT03 IDoc is see that the linked basic type as ZMM_CREMAS01.  However, when I go to WE82, I see the following:
    Message Type - ZMM_CREMAS01
    Basic Type - CREAMS01
    Ext - ZMM_CREMAS01_EXT03
    Should the Basic types be the same in WE30 and WE82?  If this is the problem, where does it get fixed in R/3?

  • JDBC Adapter / Acknowledgements

    Hello all
    My scenario is the following :
    IDOC > XI > Oracle database.
    I want to update a table.
    As I use UPDATE_INSERT actions on database, I think there can't be errors if database is reached by adapter.
    So I decided to use an asynchronous interface.
    Is it right ?
    Actions are done succefully but an alert is sent because of acknowledgements.
    I have the following error :
    OUTBINDING.CO_TXT_ROUTING_BACK_ERROR
    How can I avoid this error. I can't find in JDBC adapater a parameters that enables / disables acknowledgements....
    Why my acknowledgement is in error ?
    Thanks a lot.

    hi,
    do you use a BPM with a send step for JDBC call?
    if so check the send step properties
    ack is included in one of them

    Hi Rahul,
    It's a strange error...
    <b>According to OSS note 700004</b>, it's maybe a problem with your License.
    <b>According to OSS note 502422</b>:
    If this error occurs, you can find more information on the error type in the developer trace of the relevant work process.
    You have other OSS note by searching "SECSTORE 021".
    I hope thus help you.

    HI Farhat
    Check with the password for users - PIAFUSER
    Check with Visual admin log as well to identify the correct cause of this.
    Check with the RFC destination as well which you created for Proxy. But if the user is having authentication issue we usually get a 401 code.
    Thanks
