Error product allocation

Am new in SD ..i was trying to configure product allocation but the below error in showing .,kindly help.

Info structure S740 you are using for product allocation(I assume it is TCode OV3Z), it seems like it not their on the system. Mind you info structure you are trying to use is not a standard one. Check whether std info structure S140 can be any help for you.
You can refer SAP Note 83245 - Product allocations: collective note for your reference.

    As already indicate to you in my previous post in Error product allocation
    whatever doc you are following/referring, they have not using any standard infostructure for product allocation. The only difference between the Infostructure S140 & custom infostructure you are referring is of division. Instead of Customer group, you have Division in Characteristics.
    So, for practicing purpose, try with infostructure S140.
    Else, you need to understand how customs infostructure created or maintain in LIS/SIS. There many discussion on the same and you need to search and try. Accordingly, raise discussion for specific queries, while creating an Infostructure.

    while creating the sales order after entering the material, i am getting the Error -'product allocation check found changes to the confirmation'.i have checked in MMBE stock is there for the material and because of this the schedule line is not confirmed.
    what could be the possible Answer ? please help me out.

    Double Click on the sub-item and goto schedule lines tab and them from menu select Environment and click on Availability.
    See whats the available stcok.

  • Product allocation error while creating a sales order

    Hi Gurus,
    My client is using the availability check against  product allocation functionality in sales order.while I am creating the sales order and entering the material system is throwing the error message product allocation XXX is invalid,after pressing the enter button system has thrown another error "incorrect index structure for table XMVERF_POS/000010" and unable to save the order.
    I have checked the material master and the product allocation is assigned in basic data 1 view,I have also checked the IMG settings it has maintained and assigned to infostructure.Please let me know is there any config settings are missing related to product allocation.

    Please check if storage location is populated for the material. Also may be this material is a non-stock material and not relevant for storage location check.. If you have any non-stock items in your order and if you are populating the storage location in the order automatically, then this happens. Please check your code and bypass the check for non stock items.

  • Product allocation determination procedure error

    We use product allocation determination procedure in material master
    I made SIS(S603)
    when an order item is created and changed and deleted, Quantity of the incoming order is updated in Sales Information System(S603). key figure of S603 is sales organization/material code/sales group
    But sometimes error is occured
    when i check up quantity of the incoming order in s603, quantity is not correct
    (i usually use t-code MC94 or mcsi)
    in my opinionm when an order item or order is deleted, quantity of the incoming order is not updated is SIS, Quantity of the incoming order in s603 is more than confirmed quantity of order in the delivery date of the schedule line.
    What is problem?

    Hi,
    Please check consumption period configurations whether s603 info structure are defined or not from the path of ( SD > basic functions > Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements > Availability Check > Availability Check Against Product Allocation
    > Define Consumption Periods). and
    in product allocation control configuration screen, flow according to requirement category flow for schedule line, check whether product allocation is active or not.
    and other needed configuration should be checked again to solve this problem.
    Finally, you can check your product allocation determination procedure from SD > basic functions > Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements > Availability Check > Availability Check Against Product Allocation > Check Settings In Product Allocation. by this way, you can figure basic problem out.

    But the mystery is that the main set of JDBC tests (outside of samples) in CTS1.4.1 are running fine.
    One difference I notice is that the tests that are failing use "createManagedConnection".
    The main configurations file "ts.jte" present under %TS_HOME%\bin has all the settings correct. Thats why the main JDBC tests go through fine.
    I wonder where these failing tests pick up the bad "address" from.
    Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

  • Product Allocation in OM17

    Hi Experts
    I am new to APO GATP.We have implemented GATP Basic methods product availabilty check and allocation check in our project.
    When i run OM17 for product allocations we are getting following inconsistencies:
    000     Shortage of incoming orders quantity     @5F\QNo long text exists@     ZCS_S999     32oyIy8a043X0000meaTaW     12.04.2010     18.04.2010     0     0     1,222     1,222
    When i run correct inconsistencies , inconsistencies are not getting removed.following message is prompting:
    Message Number: /SAPAPO/OM_SYNC082
    Diagnosis
    The incoming orders quantity in liveCache could not be adjusted using product allocation assignment. This can have a number of causes. Check the following causes and try again:
    Procedure
    Check:
    If the planning area to be adjusted is locked
    If the time series are initialized (after liveCache has been initialized)
    If all characteristics combinations exist in the planning area
    1)What is the problem and why i am getting this error message?
    2) How to remove or resolve the above inconsistency?

    When i run OM17 for product allocations we are getting following inconsistencies:

    1) Based on the planning object number(32oyIy8a043X0000meaTaW) from om17, i went to the transaction /SAPAPO/ATPQ_CHKCHAR - Characteristic Combinations  and i dont find the characteristic value combination of the Planning Object Number.
    2) I ran the transaction /SAPAPO/ATPQ_CHKUSG - Product Allocation Assignment Check  based on the product allocation group and planning object number (32oyIy8a043X0000meaTaW ) with Assignment w/o order quantity i found it with red lght.
    1) Check whether if the allocation group is used in several product allocation steps. (We are using only single product allocation step )
    2) Check the product allocation procedure is maintained correctly( Yes its maintained correctly)
    3) Check whether any lock created in planning area(How and where to check this )
    4) Check whether the planning area is initialised(yes Planning area is intialized )
    5) Run /SAPAPO/TSCONS and check for any errors(No errors)
    6) Run /SAPAPO/ATPQ_CHKUSG and look for any errors
    (I ran the transaction /SAPAPO/ATPQ_CHKUSG - Product Allocation Assignment Check  based on the product allocation group and planning object number (32oyIy8a043X0000meaTaW ) with Assignment w/o order quantity i found planning object number with red colour.I dont understand what need to done in this transaction. I tried to delete but Delete option is greyed Out)
    What would be the reason for this error?
    How to resolve this inconsistency?

  • Complications in the Product Allocation

    Dear SAP Gurus,
    I am facing lot of problems in configuring the Product Allocation.
    Problem-01
    I started creating new Info Structure S561 copying the existing Info Structure S140 as the Info Structure is to be assigned in OV3Z (Specify hierarchy).
    The problem is that the Table MCVOBJECT is not appearing in the u201CCharacteristics for 0001 Incoming Orders Quantityu201D in the transaction code MC25. I tried to insert the Table name as MCVOBJECT and Field name as KONOB against the characteristics u201CProd Allocation obj.u201D but I got the error message as u201COnly source fields from MC Communication structures allowedu201D
    Only few Table names are available after pressing F4.
    Please help me how I can put the Table name MCVOBJECT and field name KONOB in the Characteristics for MC25.
    Problem-02
    In OVZ0  (Define Flow according to requirement category) I am not able to create new Requirement even in the change Mode. But I found some of them started with Z i.e. it has been created by somebody. I am in IDES system.
    Problem-03
    The same issue in OVZ8  (Process flow for each Schedule line Category) I am not able to create new Requirement even in the change Mode. But I found some of them started with Z i.e. it has been created by somebody.
    Please guide me how to create a new requirement and assign it.
    Problem-04
    When I am checking in OV8Z (Check setting in Product Allocationu201D, the following comments appear. If anybody guide me on this basis I will be grateful to him.

    Problem-05
    Where should I put the quantity because when I am creating Sales Order no Product Allocation function is working.
    Problem-06
    I have used Transaction code MC8A for creating Planning type but every time I put some value and save but after that in change mode I am not finding those values.

  • Product Allocation: Removing a Material from Product Allocation

    Hey folks! 
    I am new to the forums, so hopefully some of you sharks will bite on this one.  I work for a consumer products company and we're having issues with product allocations.
    We have had a material on product allocation for the past 3 months.  We used a allocation rule that is modeled off of the S140 rule on the basic data of the material view.  However, our production has now ramped up sufficiently to produce this product and provide normally. 
    1) How do we remove the material from product allocation?
    We deleted the rule from the basic data view, but is there anything else we need to do?  There are many remaining open sales orders that get the error "No Feature Combination exists for this selection error".  I have ran rescheduling (V_V2) and have also ran the SDRQCR21 to rebuild requirements, but it still remains with this error.
    2) Is there something we have to do with the infostructures?  Something we have to do in MC64 or MC94? 
    3) Do we need to go through each sales order and delete the line item and replace the line item to get the normal ATP to function (we would rather not do this as we have EDI information connected to each line item)
    4) Is there another report out there I need to run that I just do not know about?
    Any help would be great.  We are on ECC5.0 Hotpack 15.  I will reward points if I can figure out how to.

    Use MC94 to remove the quantities allocated.
    Use MC62 to remove the planning hierarchy.
    I believe that in your situation MC94 will work.

  • Leading zeros in the Product allocation characteristic combinations.

    Hi All,
    I am copying Characteristic combination from planning area to product allocation group, after i complete the transaction system is automatically preceding the zeroes to the product number.
    I have one the following activities before copying CVC of planning area to product allocation group.
    against all the Product allocation settings.
    2.Created the MPOS with product (characteristic length of Product is 18), Customer and Allocation object.
    3.Created planning area and planning book.
    4.Copied cvc combination from planning are to product allocation group and also copied planning area values in to Product allocation group.
    5.Tried to check in the ATP simulation mode, while I was doing system has given no characteristic combination found, when I checked Product is preceding zeros as per the filed MATNR length 40 and this MATNR is selected from the Product allocation field catalog, But when I add zeros to product system is performing Product allocations in simulation mode.
    6.Tried triggering gATP Product allocations by creating Order in ECC, here also it has given same error No characteristic combination exists.
    When I did initial R&D on this. I found that material number in the product allocation characteristic combination is leading by zeros for ex:- 000000000000000002200325.
    Could any one please suggest me what to do on this.

    Hi Muthyalappa ,
    If i have understood your question properly , then my guess is you should be facing this problem only for numeric material codes. Try out the following things
    1. Execute the same test condition for a non numeric material. I believe it will work perfectly .
    2. For numeric material codes it is not working because of the difference in MATNR length between ECC and APO. In ECC the maximum possible MATNR length is 18 char whereas it is 40 chars in APO. So as per std SAP functionality the numeric materials get concatenated with leading zeros when you try to transfer it (or carry out any kind of processing ) from ECC to APO.
    ex consider material 12345. In ECC it will be stored internally as 13 leading zero's followed by12345 . But in APO it will be stored as 35 leading zero's followed by 12345.  Your issue is the system does not recognize the CVC that has this material as characteristic. At the time of cvc creation / change make sure your material characteristic ( especially for numeric material codes) totally has 40 chars . Pack it with leading zeros and make the material length 40.
    Try this out and update me .

  • Product Allocations in GATP

    I am facing a situation in GATP product allocations . We are using product allocations for ATP check . All the config settings are correct  . I created a new material in R/3 , transferred to APO . In APO i created characteristics combinations for the material. Now the situation is when i am doing a simulation for ATP check  for the product i am getting an error with explanation belwo
    The system  could not determine the  following data
    The  characteristic combination of the item  ...... / that is used to choose product allocation quantities in the characteristics combinations directory  of product alloaction group & suitable entries  for collective product allocations of the characteristics combination of the sale sorder.
    It also gave me the procedure  to expand the characteristics combination directory using the planning hierarchy to include the missing caharcteristics combination from teh sales order
    I tried doing as explained , but still getting the same error .
    Has any bidy faced similar situation ?

    I think you are missing the execution of transaction /SAPAPO/PAREA_K, which transfers the characteristics combinations to product allocation.

  • Collective Product Allocation Wildcard

    Hi I am having an issue setting up collective product allocation...Allocation currently is based on the following parameters and this works fine.
    Product Family
    Customer type
    Order type
    Currently we have around 4-5 order types defined in R/3 and CVC's have been created with all the combinations and for this reason number of CVC's are high Prod. Fam * Cust type * order type.
    In the future we are looking at some specific allocation for certain order types. I have manually created CVC's with a wild card for the order type but when I try to create a sales order it gives me a combination error.
    Fam1 X ####
    Fam2 Y ####
    Fam3 Z ####
    Fam1 X ORD1
    Fam2 Y ORD1
    I am not really sure if collective allocation would help in this scenario. Can somebody let me know what exactly the issue could be...

    Product allocation is been completely setup what I mean by this is Allocation groups, procedures assignments in master data have already been done.
    As you have mentioned I know the number of combinations going into the future will have issues...that is the reason I want to setup collective allocation but I keep getting a CVC combination error when I do this..
    If you look at the example I had given earlier thats the combination I would like to achieve without the CVC error..

    And maintain this Allocation Structure in the settlement profile for your Production/Process orders.

    Thanks for the reply.I had followed the same path while creating Persistence Unit.I googled this error & I found a solution where I need to set the NativeLibraryPathPrefix in my JVM.
    For this I went to Servers->Glassfish V2 -> JVM-> .There I set NativeLibraryPathPrefix = D:\Program Files\IBM\SQLLIB\BIN.
    It's working now.But I can't understand what was the problem & how it got solved.
    One more issue ,suppose tom I am facing the same problem for some other XYZ database.Do I need to change this path again for that database.What this path exactly means.I read it looks for "db2jcc2.dll" in this path.What is the need of this dll if I am including jar files during creation of persistence Unit.
    Please help.Thanks in advance.
