Error when hit ctxsys.ctxcat index

I use SQL query to generated report page in HTML DB, the query hit Oracle ctxsys.ctxcat indexes, after sent query, I got this error message. My question is: Does HTML DB support ctxsys.ctxcat index?
report error:
ORA-20000: Oracle Text error:
DRG-10849: catsearch does not support functional invocation
My sample query:
SELECT distinct(FEATURE_ID),
FEATURE_NAME
from maint_query_view
where FEATURE_NAME_OFFICIAL = 'Y'
and feature_id in (select feature_id from maint_query_view
where (catsearch(:FEATURENAME, 'index',null)>0);
Thanks
Lei

Lei,
1) HTML DB does support the CTXCAT index type.
2) The error you've encountered seems specific to Oracle Text and not HTML DB (I would suspect you would encounter the same error if you issued the query from SQL*Plus).
It's best to file a TAR with Oracle Worldwide Support on this one.

  • CTXSYS.CTXCAT index and CATSEARCH problem

    I have table with just one column indexed (CBG_COMPANY_HOUSE_STREET_DIST) with CTXSYS.CTXCAT index. And the problem is that
    words like 'OR', 'IF', 'MR', 'MRS', 'A' and some more like these are NOT INDEXED at all..! So simply when I try to use CATSEARCH like
    select * from ros_dev.MAD_PLACES_DEDUPE where CATSEARCH(CBG_COMPANY_HOUSE_STREET_DIST,'MRS',null) > 0
    I get no results at all...
    What is the reason? What is the solution? Please, it is URGENT, I develope some software , I am not a DBA, and I have a deadline on Friday :(
    Thanks for any help!

    Ok - I just responded to your post over in the database forum. Same answer applies here. If you need help redoing the index, best to post here rather than the General Database forum though since it is definitely Text specific.

    Hi,
    it works if you put an extra PARAMETERS clause at the end so the creation looks like:

  • 404 error when hit submit from php file for requested path E:\vise\jqproject\web\errorpages\403_error.htm

    I have a php script that when I hit submit, it submits the form to another php file with a get command.  This worked about a month ago, but this month it's having issues.  This is what the relevant code looks like in the table php file. Running
    table.php shows the table in the browser and has 404 errors when I hit submit.
    table.php:
        <body>
            <h1> Visual Evaluation Entry Table </h1>
            <form method="get" action="visEupload.php">
        <table id="bigTable" border="1">

             <tr>
               <!--<th id="bandY" class="col3">Bands @263mm Y</th><th id="bandM" class="col3">Bands @263mm M</th><th id="bandC" class="col3">Bands

            <tbody>
                <tr name="MCBands" id="9214">

                    <td><input name="comment" ></td>
                </tr>
            </tbody>
        </table>
          <input id="submit" type="submit" class="list" name="submit" value="Submit To Database" >
           <!--maybe move all php part to other file-->
           </form>
        </body>
    The server is mapped so when we run it off of the server, we use the server ip address and my file name and skip the rest of the path, which works fine with the table.php file, so that mapping appears correct.  When I run it off of the server (from my
    desk) and hit submit it gives me a 404 file or directory not found.  When I run it locally on the server, it's saying it can't find the file name, but it says the requested url is `http://localhost:80/errorpages/403_error.html.`  Physical path: E:\vise\jqproject\web\errorpages\403_error.html.
    The error message says the notification is from the MapRequestHandler of Module IIS Web Core. I'm not sure why the requested url/path isn't referring to visEupload.php.
    (Running on the server) When I change the action in the table.php get to include the IP address, it's behaving weirdly:
    Module IIS Web Core Notification MapRequestHandler Handler PHP53_via_FastCGI, Requested URL `
        http://localhost:80/13.141.xxx.xx/visEupload.php?bandy=xx&bandM=xx&bandc=hj&bandk=xx&comment=xx&submit=submit+to+database
    physical path shows as E:\visE\jqproject\web\13.141.xxx.xx\visEupload.php
    Login Method and user Anonymous.
    When I change the url to just be
        localhost/viseUpload.php
    it's getting HTTP Error 404 not found.  Any ideas why it's not finding the visEupload.php file?  It has the correct .php extension.  In file properties it's a type php file with name visEupload.php.
    I took a look at
    [404 error][1] but I see my "allowUnlisted="true" in applicationHost.config. I'm not using sitefinity, though.
    I'm not sure if something got over-written when we did a server windows update.
    I know we were having a problem with get and post a couple months ago and we had to add them to the IIS Manager Handler Mappings somewhere, but don't remember where we added them to check.  Since I tried directly accessing the visEupload.php without any
    get (and commented out get code in the file) it should have worked if that was the issue.
    We are running server 2008 R2 and I'm not sure which version of IIS it is.
    In case it matters, this is the contents of the visEupload.php:
        <!DOCTYPE html>
        <html lang="en" >
        <head>
        <meta charset="utf-8" />
            <title>Big Table</title>
        </head>
        <body>
        <?php
            require_once( "../classes/class.OLAPdatabase.php");
            require_once( "../common/Session.php");
            $OLAPdb = new OLAPdatabase;
              handling of the get part is commented out
           ?>
        </body>
    All I can think of is that when I access visEupload.php it's running from the get/action in table.php.  This might be a different user running in the system.  I tried changing visEupload.php file properties to have full control for IUSR and Internet
    Guest Account.  It already has full control for System, and me.  Users have read & exeture and read permissions. Or maybe it's something that has to do with how the directory is mapped out.  I'm not sure what could be affecting this, and
    why the message said it can't find the path to 403_error.html.

    Thanks Roger.
    I did add those in... DBA insists that didn't matter, since explicit "select" privs were granted to CRT_DEV to select CRT tables. He did say that a length check was required on the CLOBS before appedning them to the destination lob (tlob) to prevent NULL lob locators being appended and raising the exception.
    In any case, it works now... however, unsure if it's due to the schema prefix on the tables, or the lob length checks...

    Hi Pradeep,
    Index out of bound is nothing but any of your fields exceeding the specified size limit.
    Check properties for each field and alter the size limit and try once again.

    -2147352 which is "Invalid Index."

    The problem might be that LabVIEW starts its indexing at zero, while Excel starts indexing its spreadsheets at 1.  To get your 11th worksheet, you might need to set the index in LabVIEW to 10, instead of 11.

  • Error when creating index with parallel option on very large table

    I am getting a
    "7:15:52 AM ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kxfqupp_bad_cvl], [7940], [6], [0], [], [], [], []"
    error when creating an index with parallel option. Which is strange because this has not been a problem until now. We just hit 60 million rows in a 45 column table, and I wonder if we've hit a bug.
    Version 10.2.0.4
    O/S Linux
    As a test I removed the parallel option and several of the indexes were created with no problem, but many still threw the same error... Strange. Do I need a patch update of some kind?

    This is most certainly a bug.
    From metalink it looks like bug 4695511 - fixed in 10.2.0.4.1

  • Error while importing table having ctxcat index

    Hi
    I created a table and ctxcat index on the same. I exported the same. While importing, table got imported but for index creation it gave error imp-00017 with ora-29855.
    Though the index have been created but with some errors. I can see the index in all_indexes table but if i try to see the entry in dba_segments, record is not found.
    Seems that index is not created properly.
    Pls suggest ASAP.
    Regards
    Rajiv

    What's your source and target Oracle version ?
    1) make sure context option is installed on target DB
    2) create a user ctxsys, the schema where the context related objects resides

    Hi,
    it works if you put an extra PARAMETERS clause at the end so the creation looks like:
    CREATE INDEX TXT_INX_TEXT_SEARCH ON TEXT_SEARCH (BFILE_DOC)
    INDEXTYPE IS "CTXSYS"."CONTEXT" LOCAL (
    PARTITION "BEFORE_2007" PARAMETERS ('LEXER dd_lexer STOPLIST dd_stoplist SYNC (ON COMMIT)') ,
    PARTITION "Q1_2007" PARAMETERS ('LEXER dd_lexer STOPLIST dd_stoplist SYNC (ON COMMIT)'),
    PARTITION "Q2_2007" PARAMETERS ('LEXER dd_lexer STOPLIST dd_stoplist SYNC (ON COMMIT)'),
    PARTITION "Q3_2007" PARAMETERS ('LEXER dd_lexer STOPLIST dd_stoplist SYNC (ON COMMIT)'),
    PARTITION "Q4_2007" PARAMETERS ('LEXER dd_lexer STOPLIST dd_stoplist SYNC (ON COMMIT)'),
    PARTITION "Q1_2008" PARAMETERS ('LEXER dd_lexer STOPLIST dd_stoplist SYNC (ON COMMIT)'),
    PARTITION "Q2_2008" PARAMETERS ('LEXER dd_lexer STOPLIST dd_stoplist SYNC (ON COMMIT)'),
    PARTITION "Q3_2008" PARAMETERS ('LEXER dd_lexer STOPLIST dd_stoplist SYNC (ON COMMIT)'),
    PARTITION "Q4_2008" PARAMETERS ('LEXER dd_lexer STOPLIST dd_stoplist SYNC (ON COMMIT)'),
    PARTITION "Q1_2009" PARAMETERS ('LEXER dd_lexer STOPLIST dd_stoplist SYNC (ON COMMIT)'),
    PARTITION "Q2_2009" PARAMETERS ('LEXER dd_lexer STOPLIST dd_stoplist SYNC (ON COMMIT)'),
    PARTITION "Q3_2009" PARAMETERS ('LEXER dd_lexer STOPLIST dd_stoplist SYNC (ON COMMIT)'),
    PARTITION "Q4_2009" PARAMETERS ('LEXER dd_lexer STOPLIST dd_stoplist SYNC (ON COMMIT)'),
    PARTITION "THE_REST" PARAMETERS ('LEXER dd_lexer STOPLIST dd_stoplist SYNC (ON COMMIT)')
    PARAMETERS ('LEXER dd_lexer STOPLIST dd_stoplist SYNC (ON COMMIT)') <== Added
    Hope this helps
