Error while recovering laptop.

I was restoring my laptop with the included CD, when towards the end it said an error occurred. The CD popped out, and the computer shut down.
I started the computer again and put the CD back in.
It says that System32 was deleted (which I know is necessary for the computer to run) and to replace the file.
The CD does nothing.

what was the exact error that it said before the system shut down. post exactly what was on the screen in its own line of your reply.

    Hi,
I tried the link said above but didnt help. I was still getting the same error.
What I tried is loading a OS of different vesion (in my case XP Professional). This loaded succesfully and I could recover some of my data. For some data, I am getting access rights error.
I am finding out if there is any way I can fully recover my data.
    Thanks for your help,

After every resetlogs you have to take fresh backup.
It seems you have opened your database in resetlogs and your backup is prior to this resetlogs. So the controlfile is showing inconsistance with the other datafiles.

  • Error while recovering

i put the recovery disc in laptop, after it asks for all the disks and copies all the files to hdd it resstarts but at the beginning of process it says "An unmaed file was not found"
the error is so unclear, what should i do?
i have dv6 3190ee, it's the windows 7 64bit recovery, i have totally formated the HDD, and deleted all partitions, including recovery(after it gave me the error i installed ubuntu linux, so the recovery partition was healthy when it gave me the error)
    This question was solved.

    Hi,
If you have or can borrow a retail Windows 7 installation disc ( it must be exactly the same version so if your notebook came with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit, this is the retail disc you must use ), you can use this disc to perform the installation.  When you get to the point of entering the Activation Key, use the one on your notebooks COA sticker ( on the underside of your notebook ) and then complete the installation.
When the installation has completed, open windows Control Panel and open System.  You will probably see that Windows is not yet activated - use the 'Phone Method' described in the link below to perform the activation.
Activate Windows 7 - Phone Method.

On my Mac Mini, I keep getting this error message: "iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server".  I don't have any problems with iCloud on my laptop / PC.  It works fine... Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Your Mac must be on Lion (10.7) to run iCloud. Apple had to change the operating system to fully support it. Nevertheless, it is possible to get emails from iCloud without having Lion. Please tell me if this interests you.
Anyways, here is the link to buy Lion (30 dollars, totally worth the upgrade ): http://itunes.apple.com/be/app/os-x-lion/id444303913?mt=12

  • I am unable to connect to the icloud from my windows laptop and get an error message: "Connection error: icloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server"

I am unable to connect to icloud from my windows-based laptop and get the following error message: "icloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server."

I would remove the email account from mail and then set it up again.
If your are able to long I via owa though without the auto fill, then we already know the user name and password are correct.
Let me know if that works.

  • Sync encountered an error while syncing only on my windows desktop not my Mac laptop

I have a Windows 7 Ultimate desktop and a MacBook Pro (mid-2010) running OS X Lion (10.7). Firefox Sync works properly on my MacBook Pro, but I have been getting error messages on my Windows 7 Ultimate desktop that say: "Sync encountered an error while syncing: Unknown error. Sync will automatically retry this action." Both computers have the latest version of Firefox installed (5.0.1). I have tried removing the add-on, and deactivating and reactivating the device, all on both machines. All to no avail. The only thing I can think of that I haven't yet tried is to setup a whole new Sync account, but I do not think I should have to go to that extreme. Any help is appreciated.

If you have tried everything, you should, first open a bug with the log of your server error (so the team can fix it) and then replace the info in the server. It's probably corrupted:

  • [SOLVED]Error while Checking Filesystems

During the boot process, the system displays an error while checking /dev/sda4
    It shows this:
    /dev/sda4: recovering journal

    * When you exit the maintenance shell the system will *
    * reboot automatically. *
    Give root password for maintenance
    (or type Control-D to continue)
This has never happened before, and my system has been working fine for a few weeks before now. This occurred after I accidentally unplugged my laptop's ac adapter, resulting in my computer's power being turned off. This problem is probably a result of the unclean unmounting of the filesystem.
Anyone have any idea how I could go about fixing this?
    Thanks

Type in your root password, and then type in "fsck". That is the equivalent of the Windows CHKDSK. Once it finishes, reboot your system. It's really not that hard to fix!
EDIT: Never mind, although you can try this I don't think it will work.

    thanks

I've seen umarshalling error when there is a difference between the client and server version. Is there a patch applied? I would recommend to uninstall the existing one and install if from Workspace. (this will ensure that you've the correct client version)

If your ECC6 is on SP12 and above, use t-code : DBACOCKPIT or DB13OLD

  • Error while saving

    Hello Experts,
I am facing an issue while saving a BO. We have a Z-BO which works very well in 4.0. We have upgraded to 7.0 and we are facing the issue while trying to save an entry from the list tile.
The BO is configured as a child segment of BDOC CAPGEN_OBJECT_WRITE. We have a Z-table which should be populated with the grid entry details.
When I try to save, it raises an error "Error while saving", and if I check the error from the Windows menu, I can see the context as "UI_CORE_SAVE_FAILED_STA". Any idea if there may be issue with Anchor mapping or something else?
I tried debugging it and it does not stop anywhere. It seems that this is not due to programming logic. I am stuck here for quite sometime. Kindly advise.
Appreciate your valuable feedback on this. Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Pijush

    Hi Wolfhard,
    Thanks for your reply.
The table is generated successfully in the laptop - there is no error when I generated the table using client console. Do I need to check anything else in this regard?
Regarding the BDOC, this Z-table (and BO) is mapped as a child segment of BDOC CAPGEN_OBJECT_WRITE (which is a Synchronization (Write) BDoc). When the system is upgraded (from 4.0 -> 7.0), the Z-segment was missing in Sandbox system. I have added the Z-segment again to BDOC CAPGEN_OBJECT_WRITE based on the old system (4.0) details.
Will there be a chance of impact due to that due to upgrade? Any other things to check? Appreciate your help.
    Regards
    Pijush
