Errors Regarding Printer Updates - Windows 10 Updates

Received notification from Windows 10 regarding new printer updates for my HP printer. I download them and they try to install but continuously fail with the following errors.***********************************************************************************************Hewlett-Packard - Enterprise WSD Multi-Function Printer, Multi-Function Printer, Other hardware - ull Print - HP ENVY 7640 series - Error 0x8024200b HP drive update for Fax - HP ENVY 7640 series - Error 0x80070490 Other Windows 10 updates install without issue. Any ideas?

Hi, fcullision.I have gone about performing the same tasks as you BUT I am only facing one small problem with the Password Utility; it is missing the ,dll file. However, UNLIKE you, I have performed all the updates AFTER installation of Windoww 10. Microsoft ran a compatibility check which indicated that everything about my system was 100% compatibile and I was ready for the update. Even so, the Toshiba Service Station NEVER has indicated there was a task that needed to be performed before (and now after the Windows 10 installation) or since installation. Therefore, I conclude that you CAN perform the necessary installations provided you have updated all required files so the conversion is smooth and flawless.Good luck!Bi-Ill

Recently some of our users who use an application called PrimoPDF have been getting script errors. I've heard this can be do to outdated drivers but tried uninstalling and re installing newer version of software and am still getting this error. Whats
strange is the url seems to be pointing towards a site containing JavaScript at linkedin.com but they are simply printing off our internal database, not from the web. Almost seems like an sql injection of some sort, not sure, ran scans and came up with

SAMBA error? Printer on Windows XP

I have downloaded the open driver for my hp d145. When I print it says that it cannot connect SAMBA error. It found the printer on my network (attached to an XP computer), but now doesn't print. Please help if possible.

The Inport.vi and Outport.vi that ship with LabVIEW 6.1 are not supported on XP. This KnowledgeBase discusses the issue. It also includes some ways you can work around that. This should help get you going! Best of luck.

When i try to update windows it keeps failing.
I have looked in to this and found its HP NULL PRINT thats the problem.

I noticed that you are getting the error code 80070002 on windows 8.1 updates, with your HP Photosmart 5520 printer. I am sorry to hear this but happy to help!
Just to confirm, are you trying to update the printer software, or the Windows Operating System in general?
Is your computer an HP computer?
In the meantime, here is a post, I had found regarding this issue, Windows 8.1 Update Error Code: 0x8007002. Which I am assuming is an Operating System issue, not a printer issue.
If it is the Windows updates you are trying to resolve, and the post does not help, please contact Microsoft Support.

HP4501e "print spooler off" error after installing printer update

Motorola Android OS, getting "print spooler off" error after installing printer update... have rebooted both printer and phone to no avail... any help ideas?

If the notebook worked prior to an update -- and this is an entirely different can of worms and problems -- and you think that there is any chance the notebook is just in some sort of "tangled" state and not completely hosed for some reason, you can try the following non-lethal device reset:
Create a Restore Point: Create a Restore Point – Win7 OR Create a restore point Win8
If you are using a Notebook:
Close all your programs and shut down the computer
Disconnect everything (little Unifier for the keyboard / external mouse can stay)
Perform the Hard Reset for your notebook model
Boot the computer and log in
Reminder: Hard Reset is just a device Reset. The procedure does not wipe out your files nor does it destroy your Windows setup in any way. This type of reset "clears the cobwebs". Depending on the root cause of the problem, this procedure can fix a variety of computer glitches.
This does not fix severe Operating System errors -- it is just a device reset. It can fix minor problems that updates sometimes cause.

Error 80072f8f after installing Windows 8.1 / 2012 R2 "Update"

I just want to share my experience with the new Update.
We are using a WSUS (on Windows Server 2012) with a Wildcard certificate from Geotrust for some time now.
I manually installed the new "Windows 8.1 Update 1" on a Windows 8.1 and a Windows Server 2012 R2 System, both joined in the Domain and were able to update with the WSUS.
Right after the update both systems keeps failing to communicate with the WSUS with error 80072f8f.
After changing the ssl certificate on the WSUS Server to a internal PKI certificate the Systems could talk again with the wsus Server.
So keep in mind when you upgrade to check if the system still works with your wsus server.

I am also getting the same issue where the 80072f8f error occurs when attempting to scan for updates.
The client machines are Windows Server 2012 R2 (with Update 1 installed) and the WSUS server is also running Windows Server 2012 R2 Update 1.
You answers are not remotely helpful in this instance.
The OP has mentioned several times he is using a Windows Server 2012 WSUS box. Therefore the article you reference has no validity for this issue.
TLS 1.2 is enabled by default on 2012 so the linked article and advice unfortunately does not fix the issue.
Has anyone else had the 80072f8f error when using a Windows Server 2012 R2 WSUS box?
We see errors in the CAPI2 log for Verify Revocation Information
and Vertify Chain Policy. Althougjh browsing to our WSUS server in IE shows the correct validated certificate.
Any help would be appreciated.

If so, please download the installer and make a DVD or bootable USB, then try to perform the installation from there.
Check following things first:
1.Disconnect any devices connected to the PC.
2.Disable/uninstall all anti-virus software (be sure to enable/reinstall later)
3.Install all important updates from Windows Update before updating.
If you still fail to install Windows, you will find $Windows.~BT under C drive (the system drive), please make sure to show up the Hidden file.
Then, locate to the $Windows.~BT folder and find \Sources\Panther\setuperr.log and setupact.log, please upload them to a file sharing service like Onedrive or "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

HELP! my PowerPC G$ won't update and "error whilst printing"!!!

My G4 has been behaving a little odd this past week. I first noticed it when i went to use software update (as usual).. it all downloaded then when it went to the next stage it said there was an error, trp repairing the permissions on the file.. (below).. and try again -
"private/tmp/501/temporaryitems/com.apple.softwareupdate"
i've been into disk utility to verrify and repair permissions, i've shut down and re-started my mac.
Not sure if it's connected, but also just as recent i keep getting an 'error whilst printing" message every time, and from all programmes i try to print from. It lets me save as PDF... but just not 'print'. i have my printers over a LAN server, and they are printing from other computers on the network, and i open 'printer setup utility' and the printers are there, i can see ink levels and i can 'stop printing' and 'start printing' without an error message.
Again i have tried repairing disk permissions as suggested to fix both issues. i wanted to try a post here before i re-installed OS X (whilst perserving files and user settings - in the hope that might fix it).
Any suggestions??

I see by your post that you are getting the error "printing update". I can help you with this.
Do you have the Laserjet CM1414fnw model?
What is the full name and product number of your printer? How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Are you getting this error on the printer or on the computer?
Download and run the Print and Scan Doctor if the error is coming from the computer. It will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it. Find and fix common printer problems using HP diagnostic tools for Windows?
If the error is on the printer's display, I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Although I couldn't find the test page for the Laserjet CM1414, I believe the Laserjet CM1415 test page is the same. Try and print a hardware self test. Printing a Configuration Report.
What was going on prior to the error? (firmware update on the printer, printing from a application)
What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (did it print or scan, any error messages)
Please provide in detail the results if you are still having issues.

After two months, HP2600n suddenly stopped printing in Windows 7 system 64-bit--why? No error mes, no system changes.
I tried reinstalling the drivers, changing USB ports and cables, printing from Notepad, and disconnecting the printer.
My computer will not let me uninstall the driver software, and I tried downloading the software upgrade to do that.
Printer works with computer running XP.
I am guessing that I need a driver upgrade.

Can't share local printer in Windows 7 Pro-error 0x000006d9

I recently purchased a laptop and wanted to share my local printer, attached via USB to my desktop (tower) in my home. My desktop runs Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. My laptop runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
When I try to share my printer, accept the default printer name (or modify it), from the sharing tab of printer properties, I get an error: "printer settings could not be saved. Operation could not be completed (error 0x000006d9)".
I did some searching in this forum and via google but this error code does not appear for this type of issue (i.e. printer sharing). Does anyone have any suggestions?
I also verified my Event Viewer and see no errors whatsoever related to printer or network settings or file and printer sharing. I CAN share my files on THIS desktop with the laptop and have already transferred files from the desktop to the laptop successfully. But printer sharing is giving the above error.
** Also, I MAY have a related problem but I am unsure about this, so I wanted to mention this in this same thread in case they are related: I cannot start the homegroup listener service from services on the desktop (win 7 pro) - get error code 2147023143. Homegroups are NOT setup (not created) on neither the laptop nor the desktop. Again, I tried to search for this error code but the results are inconclusive.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Its now been THREE YEARS since this "bug" has been discovered and resolved by a user, and there is not one word about it in MS's online help. Today I had this exact issue of not being able to share a printer on Windows 7 with other computers on my
my local network. And this is the same printer I've been sharing with the same network for nearly FIVE YEARS!! I have always used 3rd party virus/firewall software, but I don't disable the windows firewall. Rather I just set it to "Manual"
because some network software seems to need it occassionally. The result is the same however, as is the solution. I had updated and reinstalled my printer software, and apparantly sharing is disabled by default. After stumbling upon this
thread, after several hours wasted searching Windows Help and Microsoft "NON"-Support websites and KB's, I simply ran the firewall just long enough to enable sharing, and instantly the backlog of spoolled print jobs began printing.
Thank you. You would think MS would have at least written this solution into their help files by now ... but than again, they are probably making money with their "paid" support option from all the desperate people who suddenly can't use there printers.
Probably charging $50 just to tell people to turn the firewall on for a few seconds. I can't think of another reason to conveniently omit this simple solution from the "free" support.
