ESPN- not working on 2 different computers....

So I have had issues with ESPN not working correctly on 2 separate computers- each with Win 7 and Mozilla installed for months. When I go to ESPN.com, as soon as the page loads it freezes....then loads some more...and then freezes again...and repeats this process until after about a minute I get an error message about Shockwave- may be busy or may have stopped responding. I've tried countless times to fix Shockwave to make sure it's up to date and have not had any luck.

Help!! J2SE 1.4.1 Not working on some Windows computers

Hello. I am very new to the Java Runtime Environment. Currently I am using version 1.4.1.
When I run a "JAR" file on some Windows 2000. "javaw.exe" starts, then stops. It gives no visible error message. The program does not appear on the screen. I am having this problem on two different computers running Windows 2000.
All the "JAR" files work on about a dozen other computers running either Windows 2000, or Windows XP, but for these two computers. The only thing these computers seem to have in common is they both have ATI "All-in-Wonder" Video Capture Cards.
The Sun Java plug-in for Internet Explorer works fine on both of these computers, but if I double click, or run the programs from the command line with the "javaw.exe -jar filename.jar" command I get the same response. Javaw.exe runs for a very short time, and then exits.
I have tried to reinstall the runtime on both computers, with no success.

I have tried other JAR files on the ?broken? computers, and none of them seem to work. They all work on other computers with the same runtime installed.
I know this is not a lot of information to go on, and I would be willing to take any advice on how to get more debugging information.

Watch ESPN not working correctly

I have had Apple TV for about 9 months and it has beeen great. I have just recently run into an issue with Watch ESPN. It works well for a short period of time but then will start jumping around to parts of the broadcast I have already viewed. Has anyone else had issues with this? I have thought it might be my wifi connection but I don't have the same problem with the Sky NEWS app and I plugged in an ethernet cord and the ESPN app was having the same issues. The watch ESPN app works fine on my tablet so it is leading me to think it's not my wifi but the app itself. Can anyone help me?

I am experiencing the same issue when viewing live college football broadcasts. Apple TV Watch ESPN app skips around to random points in the game every few seconds while the iPhone version of the app works fine on the same wifi network.

Keyboard problems, not working keys and different connection with letters

PLEASE HELP ME, The background is this: Yesterday I have done for the first time the time machine with my external hardisk, and I try to delete also all remains documents of windows from virtual machine Parallel (I delete it after trial version and I still have windows data in the mac).
(I dont know if is connected to the problem)
After this, this morning the keyboard start to work bad, some keys don't work, like ENTER or P or Volume Buttons, but the strange thing is that some other work differently, like pushing the left arrow it type "à".
I try to change Mac, in order to understand if is a software problem, but nothing, it didnt work also on different computer.
It's not a keyboard lenguage problem as you can think, I changed, lenguage, and nothing, in fact this does not explain why some keys dont work,
In the keyboard visor, I can see which key works and which not, and some like, down arrow, is perennially insert, and furthermore, up volume work as backspace.
So, a series of strange problems.
-keys that dont work
-wrong connection (key-letters)
-and keys always "ON"
I'm sure that no liquid went on the keyboard, and the keyboard is new, (less than 6 month, bought at Apple store)

Ok, I try again, and I followed perfectly the process, the "UTILITY DISC PAGE" was due to the fact that the "P" button doesnt work, therefore, it get just option+cmd+R
Oh, really this is very strange. I try this keyboard on an other mac and it didnt work (it fail the configuration process because the "ENTER KEY" doesnt work)
I try also a USB keyboard on my mac and it was all OK.
So, it seems to be a software problem of my bt keyboard, there isnt a way to reset? I'm worry about match again the bt because it will ask me to type numbers and then ENTER and if the keyboard will not be fixed, Im without keyboard... now I can use it and when I need some key that dont work, I use the virtual keyboard.
Guys, what do you suggest to do? The keyboard is in warranty but the bill is in Italy, now I'm in UK, the apple store could replace it without the bill?

SSO logon tickets not working in two different OS

HI All,
We have sucessfully implemented SSO logon tickets concept to access a j2ee application through portal on windows OS.
We could able to do the samething on two j2ee instances installed on two different machines on same domain. I mean, deploying our application in one j2ee instance and accessing the application thru portal of another j2ee instance thru SSO logon ticket by adding some configuration steps in Visual administrator given in help.sap.com. This also we did in same OS windows.
But now the problem is, when we try to implement the above scenario in two different OS, say application is deployed on HPUX machine, and accessing that application through Portal from Solaris machine, SSO logontickets is failing. Means we couldnt able to access the application. Both the OS are in same domain only.
What extra configuration steps need to be done in VA, to get work with two different OS?
Please share ur ideas.

I guess probabaly the internet explorer doesnot accept the sso ticket.
What you can probably check is that the compatability of explorer for the solaris and HP UX os with Windows OS.
Also,please check whether the SSO ticket is getting populated and What error are you getting exactly when the SSO fails and that will give some idea to proceed further

Text caption timings not working properly on some computers

I've created a module in Captivate 4, published with the recommended settings of AS2, Flash Player 8, and 30 FPS. Audio narration is recorded on each slide separately. It contains a .flv video inserted that plays fine. On several of the slides, text captions are timed to appear automatically as the slide is being narrated. All the timings work fine on my computer (an HP laptop with Windows XP).
This module is viewed by all 800 of our employees. Several employees (one is our department head!) have reported that the text caption boxes come in very slowly, not at all in sync with the narration. For instance, I have the caption set to appear after 5 seconds; on her computer, it doesn't appear until 15 seconds.
This is only happening with text captions. On one slide, I have several transparent captions that the viewer has to click on to make them appear. These are working fine without any delay.
We first thought a common thread among those having this problem was they had just received upgraded computers, although they all run Windows XP with Flash Player 10. However, the IT tech investigating it for us ran the module on a new computer and it played perfectly. So it seems to be a problem in Captivate.
Anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this issue? Thanks for any help you can offer!

Have you tried republishing the movie as AS3 and Flashplayer 10?
Flasplayer 8 was nowhere near as efficient at decoding SWF content.
If all your users are on FP 10, publish to FP8?

Color management does not work as expected, different from v3.6

Color management seems to work differently than FF 3.6.
On a home page, I have a background graphic that is supposed to blend into the page background. I have left that graphic untagged so the blending will work in all browsers regardless of color management. This works fine in IE, Safari, Chrome, and Firefox 3.6 in all color management modes.
In default mode 2 in v3.6, the graphics is not color managed because it is untagged. The page's background is left as is, and things blend perfectly. In mode 1, full color management, the graphic is assumed to be srgb and is color managed, and the page's background color seems to follow.
In Firefox 4, using mode 1 creates a mismatch between graphic and background, as if this time only the graphic is color managed and not the rest. This is bad because it now creates a situation where we cannot be sure that there will be a match.

Mirror/Smartware not working with 2 Win7 computers; ultra slow, then stops backing up files

Have 2 Windows 7 Pro computers- HP EliteBook Laptop, custom built Desktop Have returned 2 WD MyCloud 2TB drives, & now this Mirror is having SAME PROBLEM- STOPS IN MIDDLE OF BACKUPS. Same issue on BOTH COMPUTERS.Windows 7 Backup/Restore DOES WORK working with the Mirror! This is really confusing! HELP! After working with Level 2/Advanced WD Techs for about a week, last one found errors in Event Viewer which led HP tech to replace Motherboard- it didn't recognize either drive- a SolidState OS drive, & HDD(D:\) drive even though it was booting & working ok until I ran SMARTWARE & started backups. The backups stopping after 10-15% was the ONLY indication anything was wrong. A number of WD Lev2 techs have claimed that it MUST BE A SOFTWARE ISSUE THAT SMARTWARE HAS with installed software; BUT! the desktop was just recently WIPED & Win7 re-installed! DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. Anyone have same issues? Know what could be, is the problem or have a SOLUTION? All WD techs are stummped- & do NOT support SMARTWARE problems to this extent, even though they did their best with what training they had, & what rules WD put on them, to do initial troubleshooting. They/WD is now saying I have to go out & purchase my own Backup software & try that. PURCHSE MY OWN BACKUP SOFTWARE? That was the reason I purchased WD NAS devices. Not 1 in 3 worked!

What is your network configuration and the specifications of your router? Do you encounter the same issue with WD SmartWare when using a hard-wired network connection?

Web Report not working on a different machine

Dear Experts,
I published my bex reports in Web. Url's works fine on my machine, but if I check the same Url on any other machine it gives a message 'page cannot be displayed'.
How can all the users view the reports on web? How sould I publish them?

Quicktime definitely not working right in different browsers

So I just made and published my site with iweb. I've uploaded it to my own server and everything loads up a look pretty good. However, the quicktime movies on my site are doing strange things.
In safari, when I go to a page that I have a quicktime movie on, I can't play it. I try to click the play button, and it won't work. But, if I right click it, it starts to play. In firefox for OSX, I can't click it at all, won't work. On a pc, firefox works perfect. All the movies play with no problem and everything looks great. In internet explorer on a pc, the site loads weird. There are white boxes everywhere, and when the pages finish loading, they are gone. It is especially annoying on the pages I have quicktime movies in, because the white boxes don't go away until the movie is done loading.
So far I have read quite a few posts that talk about "making quicktime autoplay". I have tried the technique of changing the autoplay function from "false" to "true, however when I open the specific .html file in text editor, or any html editor for that matter, the line of code containing the quicktime information is nowhere to be found. I know the page has a movie on it, but it's not in the code. Which leads me to believe it's got something to do with .mac vs. a personal server. I don't know.
Any help on any of these things would be great appreciated.

I'm sure the problem isn't what's actually there in iWeb, but what's getting created as a result. On your demo reel page, start selecting at the "all" in "all rights reserved" and drag the cursor to the middle of the video. You'll see your control bar becomes obscured. Compare that to one of my video pages

and you'll notice that it's difficult to find a click and drag that will highlight my control bar (if you start between the m and the e it's a little easier, but not every time).
The reason why I mentioned taking it apart and putting it back together again piece by piece is because then that would at least give you and idea about at what point it becomes unplayable so that when it happens in the future, you'd be able to easily defeat it. For example, if you removed everything and it still doesn't work, then you'd know you've got a really REALLY strange problem on your hands.
You could try using the forward button to move your QuickTime movie to the fore to see if that solves it, but I just checked mine and it's not the frontmost item (it's one layer down).

Logical file path is not working properly with different DTP's

I have a open hub, that push data in to application server(AL11) with file name /tmp/.
I have two DTP's, one for company code. P001 and other for U001.
i want to display dynamic file names as P001 when DTP for P001 is executed and U001 when DTP for U001 is executed
file names as follows /tmp/P00120110412openhub.csv and /tmp/U00120110412openhub.csv.
for this i have writen code in function module Y_FILENAME_EXIT_name. and it is working fine.
my problem is I can run only one DTP and only one time, for this it is creating the file. when i am executing the same DTP or other DTP, the DTP is running without errors and it is not creating the file in AL11. if I activate the open hub and execute the DTP then it is creating the file.
every time i have activate the open hub and then i am running the DTP's. please suggest me to avoid this.

IMessage not working from a different country?

I'm currently using an iPhone from Verizon that I got while I was living in the US. Last month, I moved to Canada and iMessage has been wonky ever since. It says that it works but it doesn't let me send messages, it doesn't activate at all, or it won't let me sign into my Apple ID. I've looked around on the internet and tried a variety of suggestions but none have worked. If someone could help me that would be great.

Again, iMessage will probably not activate because the phone has a Verizon carrier profile on it and will not allow you to have the correct APN on it for the carrier that you are using. What carrier are you actually using? You say you are roaming with Rogers, are you still a Verizon customer and just roaming in Canada?

Open browser window - not working right in different browsers

My client wants to link to a video on another company's site (he has permission). When I use the DW behavior of Open Browser Window in a specifc size it acts weird, depending on which broswer is used. I've used this function many times over the years and never had this problem until now.

But the client says that sometimes it opens a second full browser window of the site, and also a window with the video, which is not sized properly. It happens with Safari and Firefox, on both is Mac and PC. On my PC it all seems to work fine.
Any suggestions? Could this be something to do with the fact that the video is hosted on someone else's site?
