ETA or info on new book size and paper stock options, etc.

I don't know if printing services do or would coincide with product updates, and therefore we should expect these to come with a product update or not, but does anyone have any idea if there will ever be additional book sizes, paper stock and/or cover options for the books printed from Aperture?
I've printed four books from Aperture, and they make decent keepsakes, but I'd really like to step up to thicker paper stock and cover options like leather.
Is any of this in the works?

Yes I have dealt with and bought plenty from them -- yes they are very secret, hence, my question. It doesn't make it easy on someone trying to plan.

    The first answer is absolutely perfect.
    The second answer - is quite smart, I think, given Aperture has not allowed much control over the text. But if I've understood that right, then I have to set each space between each line as a different font size ... which could be fairly laborious if there is a lot of text. Someone once suggested just prepping all the text in Pages, then copying it into Aperture which, once I've standardized the text size etc. for a particular project, seems easier (if I've understood you right).

    I am looking at making my first book using iPhoto 08 version 7.
    There appears to be a new large size available 13'x10" but I cannot select this size via iPhoto.
    The largest size is 11"x 8.5"
    Is my software out of date, do I need iLife 09 to get this feature?

  • New to Verizon and Confused by Options

    Hi,
    I am brand new to Verizon Wireless and LOVE the improved coverage and reception that I get over my old carrier.
    I know these terms are probably covered somewhere else but I haven't found a clear explanation of what some of the features are and if they involve extra charges.  I am wondering if someone can help. I have a family shared plan for voice and the standard data plan for my new Samsung Fascinate (which I love too ... even compared to my previous phone, the Nexus One.)

    I have created a photo book with hardcover.  Now I would like to create and print the same book with softcover and smaller size.  Is this possible without re-creating the book?

    select the book in the source pane on the left and duplicate it (command-D) and then click on the themes button and select the new size/style/theme  --  closely inspect the book to be sure it is still corrcect (text may reflow due to size changes as may photo arrangement) - preview (

  • Problem with custom book size and print to PDF

    I'm trying to create a 20 page 8x8 book which consists of 10 16x10 spreads. In other words, page 1 and page 20 are not start on the right and left respectively, there are exactly 10 16x10 spreads. This is a requirement for KISS wedding books. I am running into two problems:
    1. The album designer seems to be forcing me to have the first page consist of a single 8x8 page, even though the last page can consist of a 2 page spread.
    2. When I do print to PDF, I get 20 8x8 pages. If I change the paper size to 16x8, each 16x8 spread is followed by a single 8x8 repeat of the right side of the previous 16x8 spread. I could live with the 20 8x8 pages if there was an easy way to recombine these as 10 16x8 pages.

    PS: Since my edit timed out, I was going to add speculation of a way in
    ColorSync to enable or make Filters which could be used to save settings,
    at least for color and printer matching schemes, this is supported in PDFs.
    Not sure where I could take up where I left off to write a PS to my own post;
    since I had a few links to documents I found by doing some research reading.
    These may be related, but perhaps not directly enough to be of help.

  • New Image Size and Resolution in CC

    Hi there.
    Ok, maybe i'm missing something, but how do i reduce the ppi's of a given image in the Photoshop CC? Changing it in the image size, in the Resolution field, it acomplish nothing. It logs an entry in the History panel, but nothing changes in the picture. Did Adobe changed how this works, or it's just a bug?

    Try setting to real-world measurement, like inches or cm.
    Hi Charles, i think that change in cm/mm/in it's the only way to change the image ppi (in my case save/resample it to 108ppi). Can you confirm that this is correct?
    Anyway when i go to image size (new panel of CC) the w/h are:
    1) grey and always set in pixel with resample flagged.
    2) always set in inches with resample NON-flagged (also if my ruler unit is in Pixel).
    (and actually that is not new behavior. CS6 behaved same way when width and height were set to percent)
    In CS6 and CC i never seen w/h in percent  - where is my error?

    You're not alone with this frustration. If you chose one of Apple's book themes then you can have a book for 20 to 100 pages.
    There are other book printers to consider and most have some kind of book making software. Different companies also offer different sizes. Some of them are Blurb, MyPublisher, Shutterfly, VioVio, Lulu, Digi-labs, Picaboo, PhotoBookPro.... There also are book printers for professional photographers and designers such as AsukaBook.

    Select-options could be initialised with the command INITIALIZATION.
    Ex :
    tables : MARA.
    select-options : s_matnr for mara-matnr.
    Intialization.
      move : '123456789' to s_matnr-low ,
             'I'         to s_matnr-sign ,
             'EQ'        to s_matnr-option.
      append s_matnr.
    I means  Include, the other possible value is E for exclude.
    EQ means EQual, could be BT BeTween ...
    The structure of a select-options is : Sign, Option, Low and High. (Low and High is the two values you see in screen).
    The commande Initialization could be place anywhere outside the start-of-selection ... end-of-selection.

    The command EXIT leave the current command. Command could be a PERFORM, a DO, a LOOP, a SELECT, ...
    The command STOP go to the end-of-selection. If you put some code after the end-of-selection, the code will be processed.

    I designed an invitation in Pages and I want to print it on Staples inkjet notecard paper. There is 2 notecards to a page.
    How do I define in Pages that I am using Staples or Avery notecard paper #.......
    so it knows to print 2 notecards to a page and how to place them.

    I've tried the "thank you" template to check this out, hope it's the same set up - (two copies per page), as you.
    Go > print
    below "pre-sets" (again my printer)
    click on any arrow to open menu
    select "layout"
    select two copies per page - also when here, other variables
    There is, in my printer menu, (below pre-sets) a "paper handling" selection which lets me choose which paper size to print on.

  • Book printing and paper orientation

    Hi all,
    I used to print DVD covers via custom book format for wedding DVDs. But since the last Aperture update it seems aperture does not print with the right orientation. Paper format is A4 portrait but the book page gets cut off because it printed landscape on the paper.
    Any ideas?

    As a work around I'm now printing the book nad save it as a PDF which I then print with "Preview". However, no one out there with this problem?

  • Making book Mypublisher and Aperture

    I am making a book and decided to use my publisher because I have used in the past on the PC (I like mypublsher quality and discounts). In Aperture I created a book project folder (type of folder that you can create an Apple book in) and copied all my files I want to use in the book in there. Next I use the Mypublisher software to get the photos in. It allows you to go to the Aperture directory and use the book folder I created above (I use reference files in Aperture). I am getting the files from the Aperture images and not the actual location of the original files.
    Now my question is if I do it that way Im I using the full files size. I am not going through the process of exporting the files and was wondering If Iam really using the full file size in making my book in my publisher? Should I export the Aperture book folder and create files and then use those files to make the book? Iam not sure what size files Im using when I make this book in mypublisher since I am not taking the original files.
    If I am not making this (gathering files) in the correct manner please also say so.
    My next question is I noticed when I drag a photo from Aperture task bar to the desktop it doesn't create a full size jpeg. Is the only way to create a full size image is export it?

    The only thing I wish they would do is increase the number of pages. One hundred pages is quite limiting for some projects.

    I have created books using Aperture and was under the impression that the same books available for iPhoto were also available for Aperture.

    Am I doing something wrong ? It would only seem logical that this new book size would also be available for both applications.
    Why is it logical? Aperture and iPhoto are two totally different products and the "keepsakes" for each are different - it happens that the book printing is the same for iPhoto '08 and Aperture 2 - but the layouts and products are totally different. The is no reason to think that an upgrade to one would be reflected in the other one
    Other than using a custom book (something not available at all in iPhoto) you can not - it is not currently available for Aperture - it might be in a future upgrade

    we have developed a user report in ABAP, this report downloads table containing data into Excel. The problem is that the downloaded table is wide and the page format in Excel-document is broad size as default. We need the system to download the table into Excel in book size format by default. How to make it automatically?
    To do it every time manually takes time. At the moment we have to go to File -- Parameters -- Page Orientation -- pick Book size, and put the Scale 90%. After that table in Excel fits a book size page.
