Ethernet Controller + Network Controller + PCI Device PROBLEMs

Hi~! I got tired of finding solution to this one, or let's say 3 problems in one. I reformat this laptop due to it's slow and lagging state. When I'm done reformatting,  it's wifi button doesnt work and stayed orange light which means it's off.then I'v e tried connecting it to the router via cable (i forgot what it's called) then stil it doesnt work.. I checked also Device Manager and found them having " ! " exclamation point. Ethernet Controller, Network Controller and PCI Device problem. which I found it will never work.. Now, I did look for solution through the internet and found some but still didn't work.. I need help.!  product name: HP 2000-219DX Notebook PCOS: windows 7 home premium Hope you can help me out.. I highly appreciated that.  -Marie

Hi: These are the drivers you need for those devices in the order you posted them in the subject line... This package provides the Realtek Local Area Network (LAN) Driver that enables the Realtek Network Interface Card (NIC) Chip in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. File name: sp52421.exe This package contains the driver installation package for the Realtek RTL8188CE wireless LAN Controller in the supported notebook models and operating systems. File name: sp52212.exe This package contains the driver that enables the Realtek Card Reader in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The card reader enables users to read from or write to supported removable storage cards, which are typically used in digital cameras, digital music players, and cellular phones. File name: sp52186.exe

  • Replaced hard drive need ethernet and network controller

    Hello
I replaced the hard drive on my satellite L655.  I installed windows and used my existing key code.  The laptop is telling me I have no ethernet and network controller.  I have tried to find the correct drivers. Since I am starting the computer from scratch do I need to install other drivers as well?  Please help.
    Thanks

I'm so sorry, Heidi. I misread your first message. I thought you had restored the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents using Toshiba recovery media.
That's the best thing to do. All the drivers and utilities are properly preinstalled. Windows is preactivated.
If you failed to burn recovery discs, you can obtain them from Toshiba. Scroll down to Get Recovery Media here .
For instructions, see the section Restoring from recovery DVDs/media, which begins on p. 71 of the User's Guide.

If you have problems with drivers after doing that, see my previous message.

    Hi:
HP does not provide any support for previous operating systems on their consumer PC's which is why there are no W7 drivers for your model.

  • T42 Ethernet and Network controller problems

I am fairly new to computers and obtained a T42 for my grandson. Please bear with me as I am rather Techno challenged and battled now for 2 days getting internet connection. Had to do a clean XP SP2 installation and landed up with a host of Other devices issues with Yellow Question marks. Have downloaded most drivers from http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads with various success. Need serious help here please.
In Device manager I am sitting with two unresolved issues under Other Devices
    Ethernet Controller PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_167D&SUBSYS_05771014&REV11\4&111A1FD8&0&00E0
    AND
    Network Controller PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4224&SUSYS_1011808&REV_05\4&AD1B67F&0&10F0
I have downloaded various drivers but still cannot get them to work. Not sure which of the drivers to use.
    In another forum somebody replied
The Intel PRO/1000 is an ethernet controller. Once you get that installed and establish a network connection, you can download and install MS dotnetfx and Lenovo System Update which will download and install all the other drivers automatically. Or just download them yourself and manually install them.
Not very helpful as I could not figure ou thow to install as the drivers that I downloaded did not fix this and no further help from them when I questioned this
Please if someone here will give us some step by step directions. The model is 2373-L77 if that will help

Checked the "DEV_" # on www.pcidatabase.com
upper: Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet driver (it seems, you have a T43-System Board in your T42 or you have a T43).
lower: 802.11a/b/g WLan adapter driver (Intel 2915 Wireless LAN adapter)
Please find the installation instructions on the linked pages. Executing the downloaded packages extracts them only to C:\DRIVERS\WIN\xxx.
Starting there you'll need to execute the setup as described on the download page.

  • Need network controller driver.

I need a network controller driver for my laptop as the wifi is not working at the moment.  The only thing with a yellow exlimation mark in the device manager under other devices tab is the network controller. the hardware id's are as follow:PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0036&SUBSYS_064211AD&REV_01
    PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0036&SUBSYS_064211AD
    PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0036&CC_028000
    PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0036&CC_0280

The first both devices: Ethernet and Network controller are LAN and Wlan card.
If you want to know more details about these devices, I recommend you to check this Toshiba document:
[How to identify an unknown device |http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD0302U00000R01.htm]
In such case it should not be a big problem to get the right driver.

  • Problems with Ethernet controller and PCI device driver on Satellite L30-10X

    Hellow!
Sorry for my bad English, I'm from Russia.
Just few days ago I bought Satellite L30-10X with W Vista on board. My opinion, that this OS does't very good on this computer, so I install W XP.
I have some problems with drivers. At first, I dont know what model I have:PSL30 or PSL33? I download all drivers for both models. But, after installation, computer doen't find drivers for Ethernet controller and PCI device...

    Hi
Satellite L30-10X belongs to the PSL33E series. This number can be found on the label placed on the bottom of the unit!
You have to choose this number from the driver download form to get the compatible XP drivers.
I dont know why you are not able to install the LAN driver. Ive got the same notebook with Vista and Ive installed the XP and all drivers run fine.
I assume you have installed the drivers in wrong order. Please take the look in the Toshiba installation instruction txt file. In this order you have to install the driver! Its important.
I think you should install the XP again to ensure the clean registry and then download and install the compatible XP drivers like mentioned in the installation instruction file.
    Good luck

  • PCI Device and Network Controller uninstalled

Having problems with downloading a pci device and network controller driver for presario cq57? Need help. my hardware id is PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_5209&SUBSYS_3577103C&REV_01

    Hi:
You need to install the Realtek Card Reader driver from your notebook's support and driver page for the PCI device.
Please  do the following so I can find out what model wireless card your model uses...
Go to the device manager, find the Other Devices category, and click on the Network Controller needing drivers.
Then click on the Details tab at the top of the network controller window.
Now you see a Property drop down list and it is defaulted to Device Description.
Drop down on that and select the second item on the list (Hardware ID's).
Post the top string of characters that begin with PCI\VEN.

  • Network controller and pci device driver missing for Toshiba Sattelite c55t b5109

After resetting windows 8.1, I only my ethernet works and I cant turn my wifi. I looked in the device manger, and under "unknown devices" are listed Network Controller and PCI Device with yellow alerts near them. I know that these are related to the wireless card, but everytime I try to update them they say that there is no driver for them.
    These are their hardware id's:
    Network Controller:

    PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_5229&CC_FF0000
    PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_5229&CC_FF00
    PLEASE HELP!!!!

search your laptop for the Toshiba application installer, open it and use it to install your Wireles lan driver.
The application installer is easier than guessing which one you need from your support page.
    OR
Your support page is here - http://support.toshiba.com/support/modelHome?freeText=1200008391
You can select the drivers tab then down the page on the left hand side select Windows 8.1 64 bit to narrow down the drivers for your operating system. Then also select Wifi and the available drivers will be displayed.
If you are getting a corrupted system after a reset your hard drive may be failing or your recovery partition may have been corrupted .  Create your recovery media if you have not done so already.

Hello again samyak.  You are very welcome!
The first device (the virtual adapter) is virtual network which allows you to use the computer as a "software router."  Unless you're using this PC as an Access Point this device is useless to you.  This article has more information on the service.  Your best bet is to just disable it.  Try the following.
Click Start, go to "All Programs," and select "Accessories."
Right click on "Command Prompt" and select "Run as Administrator."
Type the command "netsh wlan set hostednetwork [mode=disallow] and press Enter.  This should disable the virtual adapter.
Exit Command Prompt, reboot the computer, and verify that the device is no longer listed.
The device with the "ACPI/HPQ0004" ID actually returned two results.  The first was the Quick Launch Button software.  The other was related to Hard Drive Protection.  Try this driver.
Make sure to reboot after all of these instructions have been completed.  Then go back to Device Manager and verify whether everything looks as it should.
Continue to have a great day!
Please click the white star under my name to give me Kudos as a way to say "Thanks!"
Click the "Accept as Solution" button if I resolve your issue.

  • Yellow mark - PCI Device" and "Network controller" on Satellite A100-787

There is a yellow mark in the device manager for a driver called "PCI Device" and also for "Network controller" although the network connection (LAN) is working well and all other functions of the computer seem to be working well.
    What are those devices??

Regarding the LAN driver, it is installed and working properly (the wired one). The wireless driver is provided by Atheros which I installed from its own setup file and it didnt give me any error so I assume it is installed well although I havent tested the wireless connection yet. I am going to do that shortly.
As for the PCI device, the card reader is able to read Sony memory stick and one type of SD card with certain teeth arrangement but not another card with a different teeth type. I dont know why it is the case. so this remains a mistery to me.

  • Driver needed for Network controller,PCI Device,SM Bus controller

Hi: For the smbus and usb 3 controllers, download and install the amd chipset drivers and reboot. http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/chipset?os=Windows%207%20-%2064 PCI device: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-141812-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4063&product=7174407&sw_lang= PCI Encryption/Decryption controller: Download and run this driver.  Then you have to manually install it. http://h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=vc_133833_1 To manually install the driver, go to the device manager, click on the PCI E/D Controller needing the driver. Click on the driver tab.  Click on update driver.  Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file. That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp66974. Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.   Then reboot. Network controller...need the hardware ID for that because I don't know what model wireless card your model has. Since there is no wireless driver installed, there should be a device labeled Network Controller in the device manager under an Other Devices category.  The network controller device will have a little ! mark next to it. So, find the network controller device, click on that and then click on the Details tab. Now you see a Property drop down list and it is defaulted to Device Description. Drop down on that list and select the third item (Hardware ID's). Post the top string of characters you see in the window.

Hi, I am a new user of Solaris and Linux and and I am having a problem with my internet connection under solaris...<snip>
    Javisam376
    Hi,
Same problem here Javisam376, but I am on an AMD x64 platform, and wondered if that might be the reason why the Solaris Express Developer Edition was unable to see the NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller, so I wonder which platform you're on (32 or 64-bits?) A general Google search for "Solaris NVIDIA nForce Networking problem" gave a fair number of hits, so the problem, seems well known, but no solutions were suggested by anybody, as far as I could see(!?)
But it seems the Linux community has the same problem, since I found this posting on LinuxQuestions.org (http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?t=471094):
"I just finished installing Red Hat 9 on my machine, which is running off of an AMD/NVIDIA nForce2 chipset mobo that has integrated ethernet. I was trying to set up my network connection, but was unable to locate the nvida ethernet controller in the Network app/Network Configuration Wizard. So I went on to nvidia's site and downloaded the x86 linux driver (using my other machine) and used a cd to pop it into the other comp... Saved it to the desktop,
    then terminaled: sh NFORCE-Linux-x86-1.0-0310-pkg1.run.
It took me through a setup screen where I 'installed a audio and ethernet driver'. I checked the Network wiz again, still no entry for it. So I randomly clicked the hardware browser, and IT lists the 'nForce2 Ethernet Controller' under network devices, but I can't configure it from this screen. Anyway, I would seriously appreciate any help with this. I need to get internet access on this machine quick, so this is drivin' me crazy."
