Ever since I upgraded to iOS 5 (and now iOS 5.0.1) I have been unable to synch my purchased ring tones to my iPhone 4. Any help greatly appreciated.
I would like to be able to synch my purchased ringtones to my iPhone 4 like I was able to before upgrading to iOS 5 and iOS 5.0.1. The ringtones are definitely in my iTunes folder and selected for synch. Ironically the 1 ringtone I made for myself synch fine. What's up with this?
Has the problem been solved? This just happened to me. I'm so upset. It took me months to create 107 customer ringtones. The ringtones on iTunes are lame and no creativitiy. First 30 seconds and that's their idea of a ringtone. My tones have character. So I need to know how to restore my ringtones. Do you have an answer??? Help!

Help. Ever since my upgrade to ios5, any and all apps simply close by themself. I have tried to shut down all the apps which are not in use and I have also reset the iPad a few times (reboot) and yet there is no real effect. Is there a way to go back to the older ios so that I can have peace of mind. It is a crying shame to see all such hassles with ios5.
Downgrading to an older iOS version is not supported on iOS devices.
Make sure that you have downloaded all of the updates for your apps and see if that helps.
Try this as well. if the Apple apps are working OK and it is the third party App Store apps that are crashing - try downloading another app - any free app. See if that helps.
You said that you reset the iPad but you may have to restore your iPad to factory settings and then to a backup if you can't resolve the problem. -

ever since I upgraded to ios 7, my battery life is very short. I do not use the ipad all that much and have to charge it twice as much as before. I have been on the phone to Apple 3 times and turned off a number of things that I am not using and now power it off more regularly but still not happy with battery life. It is less than a year old and as I said, I don' t use it all that much
My best bet would be to restore the phone. Back it up to itunes, and then reset it Factory settings. This way, any corrupt software will be removed, and you can start fresh. Make sure you back it up first. By the sounds of it, you are using the phone for business and probably need the data from it. Hope this helps!

Both my wife and I have iPhone 5 and we use Siri a lot. Ever since we upgraded to IOS 7 we found that frequently we get a reply from Siri something like "This is embarrassing but I cannot handle a request right now". Prior to IOS 7 this did not happen.
tonefox is probably right. Server overload. I also notice that when siri does respond correctly, it is slower. My wife has a 4s and same story, and she has not upgraded to IOS 7.

Ever since I upgraded to IOS 7 on my iPad2, it does not remember my passwords, even though I check "keep me signed on". Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing? I did not have this issue with the previous OS. Thank you.
Thank you, James, but I do have a WiFi connection on the iPad mini. The Numbers files update on my iPad third generation and iPhone just fine when connected to the same network.

Im having trouble sending messages from my iPhone 4..ever since i upgraded to iOS 5, its giving me this problem. It says your SMS mailbox is full. Delete some messages to recieve new messages.
I've deleted around 10 huge conversations, rebooted it, restored it, done a soft and hard reset too. What should i do?my boyfriend restored his iphone as a brand new phone and still had this problem, he deleted all his text conversations except mine and his best friend's conversations still nothing, i told him to delete OUR conversation since its a 2 year conversation that he has NEVER deleted ..... he said YES!! we tried to delete it and the phone freezes as soon as we click on the CLEAR CONVERSATION button!!!! we tried about 5 times and this happened everytime we tried!!!! ....is like the phone doesnt wanna let go of our conversation!!! every other conversation he deleted the phone was fine except for when we try and delete ours!!
so yesterday he left his phone alone around 4 pm since we have the apple appointment today at 130pm.......around 11 pm last night his phone went NUTS receiving all the text messages i had sent and never received!!!! and now the phone works just fine!!! ...... CONFUSED?????? yeah we are too!!!

I no longer am able to see how many emails I have in my inbox ever since I upgraded to iOS 7 is there a way for me to see how many emails are in my inbox now?
I have the same problem - I'd like to see the total number of emails I have in each folder when I'm in the folder - it used to be at the top of the screen but since upgrading to iOS7 it's gone. It now only shows how many emails are unread when you're in the folder list.
Gumby20133, I tried double clicking the Home button but nothing happened when I swiped up on the mail preview thumbnail - please could you explain what I was doing wrong? Actually, even if I could do that, would I have to do it every time I wanted to see the total amount of emails in each folder? As what I'm looking for is a way to permanently have the amount of emails showing in each folder - is there any way I can do that?

Hello. Since accepting the upgrade to the current version of I Tunes (11.4) I have been unable to get the application to boot. I receive the message that I Tunes was not installed correctly and Error 7 (Windows Error 193). I have uninstalled/reinstalled I Tunes several times and this has not resolved the issue. I also uninstalled/reinstalled Microsoft.net Framework 4 since this was suggested by Apple support. This also has not resolved the issue.
When I reinstall I Tunes, I get a message that the “Service ‘apple mobile device’ failed to start.” Verify you have sufficient privileges to start system services. I attempted to manually start the Apple Mobile Device service but get a pop up stating, “Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.”Unsure what I should try next.For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if one component, such as Apple Mobile Device Support, won't install normally.
In your case I suggest you start with a clean download of the setup file using the direct link. If reinstalling AMDS alone doesn't work try tearing everything down again.

If your Firewire or USB isn't recognizing any device. A solution which has worked for some whose hard drive became invisible in 10.4 was simply to follow these four steps to reset the Firewire/USB bus:
1. Shut the machine down.
2. UNPLUG the power lead to the computer and any firewire/USB drive or devices.
