Exception during deployment of EJB application
Hi Experts,
I'm deploying one EJB application which is giving following warning.
What's the cause of it?
Caught exception during application startup from SAP J2EE Engine's deploy service:
java.rmi.RemoteException: Error occurred while starting application asianpaints.com/bsApp and wait.
Reason: Clusterwide exception: server ID 8216350:com.sap.engine.services.ejb.exceptions.deployment.EJBDeploymentException: The DataSource for PersistenceManager J2EDB is not created.

Check out the beanManaged example that ships with WLS and read the accompanying docs. This

I don't think though that _03 is the problem, you should have compatability
between minor versions of a VM release. How did you deploy the ear?
Did
you copy over from a 7.0 domain? It looks like the EJB was built on
a
previous version of WLS, or has not had "ejbc" run on it prior to
deployment. Try running weblogic.appc foo.ear or fooExplodedEar. And
then
try redeploying. To be sure everything is clean rm -rf .wldonotdelete
after
you shut the server down.

Just wondering what is that file not found error? And what is the cause of that?
nullI guess that might be trying to redeploy the same EJB again onto OAS.
If that is the case you can try the following
cd to OAS_HOME/ows/admin/website40/httpd_machinename/admin/svadmin.cfg
and turn "FileCaching = OFF"
OAS_HOME/ows/admin/website40/httpd_machinename/www/svadmin.cfg
and turn "FileCaching = OFF"
Once you change the settings , you would need to shutdown OAS and restart it again.
the other workaroung would be to restart the appserver before the redeployment so that it would release the lock.

The problem appears when adding new beans (which bean is not
important, just the number of beans).
We're running WLS 6.0sp1 and WindowsNT 4.0 sp6.
Is there a way to get the command window to accept longer
command-lines? Is there some way to configure the WLS not
to include all files in a single javac-command?

length and he gave you a suggestion as to how to work around it.

I've read an old article describing this problem with getting thefollowing dump:

at weblogic.ejb20.deployer.Deployer.deploy(Deployer.java:799)
at weblogic.j2ee.EJBComponent.deploy(EJBComponent.java:31)
during deployment. And the answer was that the shell executing
the javac gets a command-line that is too long.
TIA!

NoClassDefFoundError during deployment & accessing EJBs in ear
Platform - Redhat Linux 7.2 weblogic6.0 ant 1.3 for compilation and creation of ear.
I get a NoClassDefFoundError when I try to access some of the EJBs in my deployed
ear file.
Previously, I faced a NoClassDefFoundError problem in deployment and I put the jar
containing
the classes that it was asking for, in the classpath in startWeblogic.sh.
The ear got deployed after that.
Error I am getting now...

I have done the same compilation and creation of ear and deployment in a Solaris
server, using the
same source code and build.xml ( ant build file) and ant properties file; never saw
any errors like this.
I unjared the ear lying in the solaris machine that I was using previously and the
ear that
I created now in the linux server, and saw a difference in the manifest files...
the manifest files remains same as what I decribe with the EJB source in the previous
(solaris)
case...
Manifest-Version: 1.0
Created-By: 1.3.0 (Sun Microsystems Inc.)
Class-Path: edcs2000_utility.jar edcsreportmgr.jar wipgrpmgr.jar resourcegrpmgr.jar

notificationmgr.jar role.jar user.jar
The manifest file in the ear created now in the linux machine is something like this;
different
from what I describe together with the EJB.
Manifest-Version: 1.0

what might be the issue here ? Please do have a look and help!
Thanks in advance
Prabin.Hi Kevin,
Use remote EJB method calls. For details, look for "Parent application" topic in this forum or Servlet development guide in Oracle Documentation Library. I know, it does not seem to be the right source when looking for EJB documentation, however, it is.

Need Urgent Help! Exception During Deployment of JBoss Scheduler Service
Hi Folks,
I have a web app (.war) to deploy to JBoss 4.0.2, and there's a class in the app that implements org.jboss.varia.scheduler.Schedulable.
I want this thing to be invoked by the JBoss Scheduler, but I can't seem to get my Schedulable instance started.
Note: This is simply a web deployment (WAR), not a J2EE Application (EAR).
I've tried to deploy the Scheduler at the server level but i've got a deployment exception - "file is not not found".
also, I've tried to add the scheduler-service.xml into my web app (in WAR file ~/META-INF/ directory).
I'm open to suggestions on how to configure the scheduler services so it will work without any exceptions.
My scheduler-service.xml is as follows:
<server>
<mbean code="org.jboss.varia.scheduler.Scheduler" name="TevaOrderScheduler:service=Scheduler">
<attribute name="StartAtStartup">true</attribute>
<attribute name="SchedulableClass">com.cnw.enfopack.TevaOrderScheduler</attribute>
<attribute name="InitialStartDate">NOW</attribute>
<!--<attribute name="DateFormat">dd/MM/yy HH:mm</attribute>-->
<attribute name="SchedulePeriod">20 * 1000</attribute>
<attribute name="InitialRepetitions">-1</attribute>
</mbean>
</server>
Please HELP me, I'm working on this issue in the last 3 days!!!
Many Thanks in advance,
Sagi.
Edited by: Sagi_MY on Feb 11, 2009 11:32 PMThanks for your reply jwenting,
But for me it's an urgent case since my Scheduler refuse to work!!!
how it can be that you have'nt face such problem in JBoss 4.0.2?
I've search the Internet and saw many people that have faced the same problem like me.
(But, unfortunately, their answers didn't help me)
Please try to help me since It's almost 10 days that I'm dealing with it.
Many thanks mate. -
Oracle Business Rule Exception during deployment
Hi Experts,
We implemented the OBR(Oracle Business Rules) within CEP and I always encounter a strange behavior. For some reason, I always encounter this error:

After restarting CEP, OBR is running perfectly. I am not sure how to resolve this issue and need your guidance on how to prevent this from happening. My java source source code is below: The initializeDecisionEngine is called only once. My input to OBR is a java.util.Map(this is a requirement and can't do anything about it).
private String rulesPath;
private RuleDictionary ruleDictionary;
private DecisionPointInstance decisionPointInstance;
private String decisionFunctionName = "decisionFunctionName";
private void initializeDecisionEngine() {
try {
if (rulesPath == null) {
return;
if (decisionPointInstance == null) {
ruleDictionary = this.loadRuleDictionary(rulesPath);
DecisionPoint decisionPoint = new DecisionPointBuilder().with(
decisionFunctionName).with(ruleDictionary).build();
decisionPointInstance = decisionPoint.getInstance();
System.out.println("INIT() OUT");
} catch (SDKException e) {
// TODO Auto-generated catch block
e.printStackTrace();
private RuleDictionary loadRuleDictionary(String path) {
System.out.println("loading dictionary from path: " + path);
RuleDictionary dict = null;
Reader reader = null;
try {
reader = new FileReader(new File(path));
dict = RuleDictionary.readDictionary(reader, new DecisionPointDictionaryFinder(null));
List<SDKWarning> warnings = new ArrayList<SDKWarning>();
dict.update(warnings);
if (warnings.size() > 0) {
log.error("Validation warnings: " + warnings);
} catch (SDKException e) {
log.error(e);
} catch (FileNotFoundException e) {
log.error(e);
} catch (IOException e) {
} finally {
if (reader != null) {
try {
reader.close();
} catch (IOException ioe) {
ioe.printStackTrace();
return dict;
private executeOBRRule(){
Map<String, String> mapEntry = new HashMap<String, String>();
mapEntry.put("column1", "value1");
mapEntry.put("column2", "value2");
mapEntry.put("column3", "value3");
if (decisionPointInstance != null) {
decisionPointInstance.clearInputs();
// decisionPointInstance.
List<Object> list = new ArrayList<Object>();
list.add(mapEntry); <--- Adding the map to a list since it is the only allowed input for OBR, or is there any other way other than list? -->
decisionPointInstance.setInputs(list);
Object obj = decisionPointInstance.invoke(); <<<<<< this is where the exception is raised.
My question is that why is the exception is being raised and sometimes it is not. My only resolution is to restart CEP server. Am I missing something? My obr rule file is ok since it does not display any error during compilation. If you can guide me to the correct path, I will really appreciate it.
Regards,
RusselIs this problem resolved?
If so it would be greatly helpful if you could provide the solution.
Regards,
Nigel. -
Assembly failed Exception during building of WLI application - Ant Script
Hi all,
I have a WLI 10.3 application which builds fine when built within the workshop.
But when the ant scripts are exported and the application is built through ant scripts I'm getting the below mentioned errors.The problem occurs during building of the 'assembly' section of the web application.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance.

Edited by giubodi at 03/20/2008 8:44 AMSolved! :-D
Thanks to Federico and Massimo!!!!
The issue was a corrupted project file.
I've merged via cvs some modifications to the process made by me and other people. Immediatly after doing that, the process was undeployable.
It was simple: just exported the process with another name, close and open the project and then reimported the process. And now all works fine! -
My scenario is as follows:
I have made a Webdynpro application which works for exporting the view context data to an Excel format file.
You can have a look at the link to which I referred to --
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/labels/viewlabel.action&id=573&key=snippets&startindex=10
I have added various jars like JExcel.jar and jxl.jar files.I have also made DC components and deployed those on j2ee engine for making these jars available on server.
1. Are there any other jars files that are needed to deply this application succesfuly.?
2. Is the JExcel.jar and Excel.jar file the same thing ??
3. Can anyone send me a link or blog which is an alternate to bulding this Export to Excel applc??
