It is also generating my dividend entry through security master condtion (FWZZ) in USD. here i am not able to change my exchange rate in case of dividend can u please help me how we can manually change an exchange rate in case of condition item.
We have a facility to change an exchange rate in loan module but not able to figure out how we can change a exchange rate in securities module.
Please help
Regards
Gaurav Gupta

Hi,
Since you updated the Exch rate manually it applies the same rate for Dividend as well. Please upload fresh Exch Rate for fresh date using OB08.
You may need to maintain this table on a periodic basis as Foreign currency is involved in the position.

  • Exchange Rate difference between PO , GR and IR

    Hi All,
I have a question, Does anyone know how to handle the PO exchange rate difference between PO , GR and IR time.
    For example
    1.  PO creation on Jan 2009  - exchange rate = 1.2
    2.  GR creation on Feb 2009 - exchange rate = 1.5
    3.  IR  creation on March 2009 - exchange rate = 1.7
Should GR and IR use the PO exchange rate # 1 for posting or use the current exchange # 2 for GR and #3 for IR ?
    Thank you
    Alex

    Hi Alex,
The exchange rates in PO and GR and IR will be different as if you have are updating the rates per month in system so it will changed.

    <b>
I am getting this message for only 4 months i.e March April,May,June but rest of months its fine.</b>
Currency translation is done in query with a variable.
    I tried the following solutions:
1.transfer Exchange rates from source systems Via Program :RSIMPCURR
2.I checked in Table <b>TCURR</b> and there exists a exchange rates between CAD to USD.
3.I checked TCODE:  RSCUR the variable exists and created properly.
4.I searched through forums but none of them present a clear solution.
<b>SO can somebody help me to solve this error ,its very urgent</b>
    null

So check in OB08 which gives the overview of Currency Exchange Rates for each month.Check what is the exchange rate maintained for the months u r looking into.
Else ask the users what exchange rates they maintained for those months and upload the exchange rates for those months.
Here is the link which will explain how to load the exhange rates.

  • AP- Why exchange rate type between Post invoice and Post payment is differe

AP- Why exchange rate type between Post invoice and Post payment is different ?
    Hello,
    I have question
when post AP invoice , document type KR
    document date = 11.12.2009
    posting date = 31.12.2009
    entry date = 05.01.2010
this document using exchange rate type B (standard translation at bank selling rate) on 31.12.2009 (use posting date )
but when post payment for above document, document type ZP
    document date = 25.06.2010
    posting date = 25.06.2010
    entry date = 24.06.2010
this document using exchange rate type M (standard translation at average rate) on 23.06.2010
    please answer
why do post invoice and post payment use different exchange rate type?
and why at payment donot use posting date for get exchange rate ?

    Nanas,
Sorry if im not  being clear...
My point is: the difference rates customization for payments is done at FBZP.
At Paying Company Codes, you have 4 flags for exchange rates differentes.
    At Control Data look:
*Do not Post any Exchange Rate Differences:
If the indicator is not set, the difference between the exchange rate at the time of posting and the exchange rate at the time of payment is determined for items which are posted in foreign currency. The payment program uses the translation rate in the currency table in the system for this purpose.
*No Exchange Rate Differences for Partial Payments:
Has the effect that the payment program for partial payments (requests for payment using transaction F-59) does not post exchange rate differences.
*Processing of Bill of Exchange Payments:
*Separate Payment for each Payment Reference

  • Exchange rate translation logic for FI and CO

    Dear FI gurus
I have question about exchange rate setting.
    - Controlling area currency: USD
    - Object currency/Company code currency: JPY
    - Transaction currency : JPY
    - Inverted exchange rate indicator : deactivated.
(So, exchange rate is maintained by each country's subsidiary)
In this case, according to SAP's help,
    - Controlling area currency: Converted from Transacton currency(EUR) to Controlling area currency(USD)
    - Object currency: Converted from Controlling area currency(USD) to Transaction currency(JPY)
This means that if transaction currency is JPY100, object currency is NOT JPY100, right?
(Because cross rate reference is deactivated and JPY->USD and USD->JPY is different rate)
On the other hand, in FI(OB22), I setup Group Currency which is USD.
In FI, translation logic can be selected whether "From transaction currency" or "From first local currency".
But still different logic from CO side.
So, it seems GL and Controlling area has different translation logic.
How normally global companies manage it?
    Yoshi

    Dear Yoshi-san,
For a global company, e.g. COMPANY ABC (head office in the USA) has different legal entities in different countries (Japan, Singapore) where the local currencies are different. In my opinion below set up is normal.
    Controlling Area ABC
Assuming all companies (ABC, DEF, GHI) are assigned to controlling area ABC.
Controlling area currency (for controlling area ABC) : USD
    COMPANY ABC (Head office)
             Company code currency : USD
             Object currency : USD
        2. COMPANY DEF (Japan entity)
            Company code currency : JPY
            Object currency : JPY
        3. COMPANY GHI (Singapore entity)
            Company code currency : SGD
            Object currency : SGD
Let say for Japan entity, a document of JPY100 (transaction currency or document currency) has been posted. The amount in company code currency is JPY100; amount in object currency will be JPY100; amount in controlling area currency will be USD0.99. (maintain exchange rate table: 100 JPY = 0.99 USD).
If another document of EUR100 (transaction currency or document currency) has been posted. Then the amount in company code currency is JPY 13,800 (maintain exchange rate table 1 EUR = 138 JPY; amount in object currency will be JPY 13,800; amount in controlling area currency will be USD136. (maintain exchange rate table: 1 EUR = 1.36 USD).
As for the third document of USD100 (transaction currency or document currency) has been posted. Then the amount in company code currency is JPY 10,100 (maintain exchange rate table 1 USD = 101 JPY; amount in object currency will be JPY 10,100; amount in controlling area currency will also be USD100, no translation is required.
    Kind regards,
    John Chin

  • Needs Diff. Exchange rates type for sales trans and Purc Trans

    Hi Gurus,
My requirement is that for a same foreign currency i need to pick two different rates one for purchase related activites and another for sales related activites. is that possible in standard SAP.
    Example of my scenario:
My company code currency is INR.
on 10.09.2007 if i make purchase of goods in USD system picks the rate i maintain for usd from the exchange rate type "M".
On the same day if i make any sales in USD system is picking it again from the same exchange rate type "M', but i want to pick it from exchange rate type "G".
Kindly Advice me what to be done.
    Thanks and Regards
    Karthik

    Hi,
For SD related transactions, you can maintain the exchange rate in Customer Master - Sales Area Data. In Sales Tab you can maintain "Exchange Rate Type" for transactions related to that Customer.
Probably, for MM you can continue with the standard M.
    Thanks
    Murali.

  • Apply different exchange rate types in sales order and invoice

    Dear Experts,
How to configure different  exchagnes in sales order and invoice?
For example, use average exchange rate in sales order but current exchange rate in invoice.
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    Wang Hui

    Hi all,
I also need to apply different exchange rate between sales order and Invoice.
    E.g:
condition type currency (komv-waers)          sales document currency (komk-waerk)         company currency (t001-waers)
In my example, each of above currencies can be different:
    komv-waers = EUR
    komk-waerk = USD
    t001-waers = GBP
I tried through VTFL transaction but it is not working in all situations cause VTFL allows me to manage situations where
    komk-waerk NE T001-waers
But I need to convert condition types where
    komk-waerk EQ T001-waers but
    komv-waers NE komk-waerk
Can I manage this situation through SAP standard and/or VTFL transaction?
    Is there any other solution?
I really hope you can help me
    Thanks a lot
    Regards

  • Exchange rate difference in FI document and PCA document.

When we invoice with foreign currency, document exchange rate used in posting to FI but exchange type ‘M’ used in posting to PCA. Can we use document exchange rate to post to PCA?

I dont think this is possible. Generally in PCA config setting you maintain this exchange rate type. Go to OKEQ and selelct verion 0 and click against Settings for PC accounting on the left hand side.  Here you can see the exchange rate type which is set. So you need to maintain the exchange rate type here. There is no way that document exchange rate can be set here.

  • Internal Order and Exchange rate.

    Hi All,
    System: SAP 4.6C
Payment is made in foreign currency CHF and debited to Internal Order (CIP); it was translated to Local currency USD as per that dayu2019s exchange rate.
When order settlement was made in following month, different exchange rate is taken by system and settlement was made to final object, leaving some balance in USD in the Order.
Balance amount was later nullified by entering a manual entry.
Is there any way how we can do the settlement of Order @ original exchange rate so that we won't have any balance in local currency in order?
Please share you inputs/Or if there is any OSS note to apply.
    Regards
    Ashok Prabhu

    Dear Ashok,
there is an option in the configuration for F Exchange Rate.
i think your configuration is ok. But in your configuration you are using some G/L accounts for F Gain & F Loss.
Plz. check those G/L accounts (Master data) have post Automatically tick mark or not
in normal senario also it's happend in all cases.
    Ex:
Date       Cur.    Rate          Loc. Cur.      total
    1.4.08     usd      40      x     100              4000  -at the time of invoice
    1.5.08     usd      50      x     100              5000 - at the time of pay ment
when ever you trying to clear those invoice it's picking the rate from table 1.5. (if your clearning after 1.5.)
if you are select Automatic posting in your master data you can't find those deference.
i think in your case also same thing happend
    regards

  • Revenue at fixed exchange rate and Tax at current exchange rate.

    Hello,
We have a requirement wherein a foreign currency sales order is negotiated at fixed exchange rate.  At the time of billing while revenue should be booked at negotiated exchange rate, tax(mwst) should be calculated at current exchange rate.
Is this possible and how ?
    Kindly share your expertise
    Regards
    Unit.

    Hi,
I think that it should be possible. Since I do not have system in front of me to test, I could not test it. As per the pricing procedure the price of the product gets defaulted. This can be manually modified and key in the revenue figure at a fixed exchange rate. In the case of tax calculation, the system will take the current exchange rate. If possible, pl take the help of SD Consultant.
    Trust this helps,
    Cheers,

  • Exchange rate difference while posting ME21N MIGO and MIRO

    Hi All,
I am facing one problem with exchange rate type between M and EURX  and EURX is maintanined in the SPRO>SAP Netweaver>General Settings>currencies>Check Exchange rate types
    EXRT :  EURX
    Usage    :  EMU Reg,fixed
    Ref.Curr    : EUR
    Buy.ra.at
    Sall .Rat.At
    Inv
    EMU   :X
    FIXED
    Scenario:
Company(USD) is maintaning Exchange rate type: M and no exchange rates are maintained for USD:EUR or EUR:USD.
Eur is maintaing in Exchange rate type EURX.
    1) PO (ME21N) is posting for the Vendor on posting date 01/01/2008. Transaction currency is EUR and company code currency is USD and Quantity : 25000
--> Exchange rate 'M' is not maintained for EUR and values are picking from the EURX Type. In the PO, Exchange rate is picking correctly from the EURX table entries on 01/01/2008.
    2) MIGO: GR  is posted on 01/25/2008 and with 15000 Quantity. Exchange rate is getting currecly from the table on 01/25/2008.
    3) MIRO: IR is posted on 02/15/2008 and Vendor Account is picking correct exchange rate from the table but GR/IR account is caluculations EUR:USD is differntly .
Note: It is not GR based IR.
    Ex:
PK AC                DESCRIPTION                    Tran Curr (EUR)    Local Curr  USD
    31 5004789     Vendor Account                       24,718.48-            38,777.12- USD
    86 2525000      A/P-GR/IR NON-INV                24,718.48            38,883.73  USD
    91 6584785      SERV-OTHER O/S                    0.00                 106.61- USD
Here GR/IR account is cal dirrently.
    4) Credit Memo posted against IR on 03/25/2008. Exchange rate is given while posting CM same as Invoice. But system rate is different. Here also how the GR/IR is calculating is question is it not taking from Table or from any other rate types . Same problem like IR for GR/IR account.
    Entry is posted like
PK  ACC         Description                            Tran curr(EUR)  Local curr(USD)
    21 5004789     Vendor                                   24,718.48        38,777.13  USD
    96 2525000     /P-GR/IR NON-INV                   24,718.48-      38,892.22- USD
    81 6584785     SERV-OTHER O/S                     0.00            115.09  USD
This problem is same like GR and also SPL document is posting differenly for ZG and ZL ledger.
ZL ledger is posting same like Accounting CM document ZG is posting with the different amount . This different amount is nothing but the exchange rate as per the posting date 03/25/2008. Exchange rate on 03/25/2008 is differe from IR date 02/15/2008 .
ZL ledger is calculating based on the 02/15/2008 date and ZG ledger is calculating based on the 03/25/2008 . Difference between Exchange rate entered in the CM and 03/25/2008 table entry rate is showing exchange rate difference field in the Addtional field in the document display.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Dear Friends,
Thanks for your helpful answers, actually we are in big export business. So we have to clear 100s of invoice lines with payments at one go, (which obviously being booked at different dates) so it would be very difficult for the user to go one by one invoice.
My concern is, why system does not calculate exchange rate difference based on actual documents, i.e. Invoice to payments only. I think there might be some configuration needed to implement this functionality.
    Please help.

  • Different exchange rate in tables FMIOI and FMIFIIT for same purchase order

    Hello,
I'm working in ECC 6 system with Former budget. My company code is in EUR currency.
I create a purchase order in 100 GBP and the exchange rate entered in the purchase order is 0,83 GBP for 1 EUR (100 GBP = 120,48 EUR).
When I create an invoice linked to the purchase order, the exchange rate is 0,85 GBP for 1 EUR (100 GBP = 117,65 EUR).
in the table FMIFIIT, the amount for the invoice is 117,65 EUR.
and in the table FMIOI, the amount for the reduction of the PO is 120,48 EUR.
Why is the reduction of the purchase order taking the exchange rate from the PO? and not from the exchange rate of the invoice?
Normally, the reduction of the PO should have the same amount as the invoice.
Could someone help me about this?
How can I do to correct the amount in EUR for the PO?
    Thanks for your help.
    Regards,
    Chiachen

    Hi,
Normally, the reduction of the PO should have the same amount as the invoice.
This is incorrect, please consult note 418914.
So, the situation you describe is normal behaviour, under assumption that your unit of measure is updated on value-based level.

  • Different Exchange Rate Type for Vendors and Customers Invoices

    Dear Friends,
We have configured different exchange rate types for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable thru T Code OB07. What are the additional Config steps required to ensure that the respective buying and selling rates will apply to Accounts Payables and Receivables. We do not want to stipulate the exchange rate types in Document Types as this special exchange rates are applicable only for one of the Company Codes.
Would appreciate your help in this regard.
    Regards,

    Hi,
Then you can use a different document type for those company codes and can default the exchange rate type there.
    OR,
The alternative wya is to use the substitution in OBBH/ GGB1 for those company codes with exit programming.

  • Purchase transaction with different exchange rate in GRPO and A/P Invoice

Hi, can someone help me with this situation.
My Local Currency is USD with INDIRECT exchange rate posting.
    I'm using perpetual inventory method.
I recorded GRPO in FC (IDR) when the exchange rate is 10.000/usd.
    The GRPO created this JE:
    Debit :Inventory  FC=100.000 ; LC=10
    Credit :Unbilled Payable  FC=100.000 ;  LC=10
When I record A/P Invoice, the exchange rate is 11.000/usd.
The A/P Invoice created this JE:
    Debit : Unbilled Payable   FC= 110.011 ; ; LC= 10
    Debit : Inventory              FC=  -10.011 ; ; LC=  -0,91
    Credit:     Vendor             FC= 100.000 ; ; LC=    9,09
    Is this JE correct?
I have no objection about the Inventory and vendor balance.
But i'm confused with the unbilled payable balance. Yes, it have 0 balance in LC. But it still have balace in FC.
Should i ignore the FC balance?
    Thanks for the support....

    Arin,
If you have a development company test this.....
    use:
    Financials>Exchange Rate Differences
Check Business Partner and uncheck G/L Accounts
    Enter Code from To
    enter Excecution Date
Make sure you have all your Exch Accounts set
    and Execute
Have a look at the outcome, it may help, it would be better then having a balance in FC me thinks!
    Kind Regards,
