Execute only 1 idoc with RBDAPP01

Hello guys,
we have an Inbound Idoc with execution in background.
Also we have a job executing every minute using program RBDAPP01. In our variant we have that packet size is 1 and no parallel because we want to avoid locks.
Sometimes the job is executing two Idocs.
Do you know why? Or do you know how to proceed to execute only one idoc in background job?

we have lock problems, if the program executes 2 Idocs that could give lock problems, and we want to know if it is possible that with every execution of the job with program RBDAPP01 only one idoc is executed.

Performance issues in using RBDAPP01 for reprocessing iDocs with Status 64

Hi All,
I am using the Standard ABAP Program 'RBDAPP01' for reprocessing Inbound iDocs with Status 64 (Ready to be posted).
When this is scheduled as a job in background, I find that it opens multiple sessions and occupies all available dialog sessions.
This in turn slows down the entire system.
Also, I find the addition 'Packet Size' on the selection screen for the program.
Is it related in any way to the number of sessions the program creates?
Any pointers in resolving this issue will be extremely helpful.

When you mention Parallel Processing, it becomes active only if I choose that particular option on the selection screen right?
In my case, I haven't chosen parallel processing, but still the overall system performance seems to have fallen very badly.
Now please correct me if my understanding is wrong.
If I increase my Packet Size, it should improve the system performance, but will increase my runtime for the selected iDocs.
But as I have not selected parallel processing in this current situatuon, it should not have any impact here.
Have I summarized it rightly?

Strategy plan with package to be executed only once

Created a time based maintenance plan with strategy. Included 4 maintenance packages in the strategy. One of the maintenance package should be executed only once upon scheduling the maint. plan and should be due on the date on scheduling.
What scheduling parameters are to be maintained?

The Functionality of Offset is actually different.
Suppose you procure a new Equipment, you have erected and comissioned, but the use will anly after 3 months as the predessing and subsequent Equipment needs some time for the Erection and comissioning, in this case, you maintenance plans should start after 3 months only,
for this reason the Offsetting Field is used.
that is if you maintain the offseting of 3 months then the cycle will start after 3 months.
it means that if today is 20th December and you have a cycle frequency of 1 month and you give the offseting for 3 months then your plan will be only activated from 20th march,and the first order will be generated 1 month(cycle period) after that.
that is 20th April.

Splitter program for processing the IDOCS with status 64.

Hello folks,
I have a requirement explained below. I am looking for a sample code which could help me to jump start with initial development.
Requirement:
Develop a splitter program which retrieves all the IDCOS with status 64, create and schedule batch jobs with 200 IDOCS each. The splitter program with be scheduled every 15 min.
Restrictions
Only 150 batch jobs can be created at a time.
Estimation
There may be around 36000 IDOCS with status 64 every hour.

Here is the explaination why we require a splitter program.
Using RBDAPP01 parellel processing
Let us assume there are 4 servers A, B, C and D in a server group. If we select RBDAPP01 parellel processing there will be too many RFC calls to the servergroup.
(there are some more RFC calls later on for Order creation for example). As there is a restriction with number of RFC calls, we need to clear other RFC's before making new one. This is making complex and messy.
Using RDBAPP01 serial processing
For the volume of orders getting created each day, it takes a week to process those Idoca created in one day. Hence it is not a good solution.
Splitter program
We spawn 150 batch jobs with 200 records each. This way if we think it takes 20 min for each job to complete...by the end of 20th min we must had processed 30000 idocs.
Hence it is the solution offered.
Srinivas...still this confuses me..but if I am wrong anywhere please correct me.
But your initial response has helped me a lot. Everything was blank to me, ur reply made it clear over the requirement.

Loading Invoice XML IDoc with digital signature via XI into R/3

Hi,
I received an Invoice XML IDoc with digital signature via Mail (for test purposes) and want to load it via XI into an R/3 systeme.
My idea is to load the Invoice XML IDoc file via the File Sender Adapter into XI and send it to the R/3 system via the IDoc Inbound adapter.
Due to the digital signature the file looks like this:
0 S      *H÷
   D0 @   1 0       +      0 '      *H÷
      0 0 û      etc.
When I load the file like this with the File Sender Adapter, an error message occurs in the XI Monitoring as the XML Parser cannot read the file due to the digital signatur (as expected).
Has anybody an idea how I can configure the File Sender Adapter Communication Channel to be able to load only the XML IDoc and ignore the digital Signature strings?

Executing multiple DDL statements with OracleCommand

hi..
im having trouble executing multiple ddl statements with the the oracle command object. i have tried to enclose them within Begin.. End; block but with no use.
this problem seems to occur only with DDL statements,.. as my DML like update, delete and Inserts seem to work fine when enclosed within the PL /SQL block.
single DDL statements also seem to work fine. so im guessing this has nothing to do with priviledges. any ideas?

If I'm not mistaken, we're not allowed to issue DDL inside anonymoue block (or stored procedure) since DDL has implicit commit in it. But you still can execute DDL using EXECUTE IMMEDIATE or using DBMS_SQL package. Try changing your CommandText like this,

EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'ALTER TABLE SYSTEMUSER DISABLE CONSTRAINT FK_USER_CLIENT';

File to Idoc with error in trfc

Hello,
I have a scenario like
File -> XI -> (idoc) R3
The scenario works fine but yesterday I had a problem with the user in the rfc destination(pwd wrong) which is used for the idoc-adapter. In the sxmb_Moni and the RWB the msg. got an success flag/info but it was not delivered to the r3 because the rfc-destintion could not work.
I know that the idoc-adapter is not part of the adapter-engine and my understanding was that the adapter send his status back to the integration engine. But in this cause I got no feedback from the adapter. I think this is not Ok or I am wrong ?

The reason is simple.....the message is sent from the integration server to the adapter engine which was susessful.but what went wrong is the rfc destination being wrong in the receiver adapter which is not known to the integration server. So in simple words, if things work fine in your integration server then it will not throw an error in your sxmb_moni. So had there been a problem between the message transfer from the integration engine to the adapter engine then it would have surely given you an error in your sxmb_moni(for example you specify some wrong parameters while configuring your receiver IDOC adapter).
But in this case since we dont have an IDOC adapter in the component monitoring (it has adapters which are in the JAVA stack only but IDOC adapter is in the ABAP stack)we can see the error in SM58 only.

Condition type has to executed only when other condition type is availabl

Scenario: We have two freight condition types YHD1 & YHD6. This YHD6 condition type is a Percentage type calculation and dependent of YHD1 value, for example
YHD1: 30 EUR then the condition value is 30 EUR
YHD6: 10 % then the condition value is 3 EUR
Issue: YHD6 is fetched from Condition records at the time of delivery document, where as YHD1 condition type is inserted into the delivery document through a BDC program in a custom program. BDC program is written in such a way that YHD1 condition record is applied on the first line. This custom program is supposed to execute only after PGI is done for delivery and shipment is created.
Since, YHD6 is fetched from Condition records; this condition is applied when the delivery document is created. And when this custom program is executed, system is looking to insert YHD1 condition on first line, but YHD6 is already exists this step is unsuccessful.
Requirement: is it possible to determine YHD6 condition only when YHD1 is available in the document. I mean, YHD1 condition type has to be executed first and then YHD6.

I will explore the opition of developing a Routine to restrict YHD6 condition type. But i have one doubt, suppose i have assigned a routine to YHD6 condition type and when delivery document is created, system fetches the YHD6 condition from the condition record, but due to this routine it will restrict to update the value.
But when i update the delivery document with YHD1 condtion through custom program, NOW, does the system calls YHD6 again so that now the requirement is fullfilled or do i need to update the Pricing again after YHD1..
I kindly reqeust you to clarify my doubt, however, i will take up this with my ABAPer and develop a routine.

You can set up authorizations in such a way, that certain end-users in a user group are authorized to maintain and execute queries, while other members of the same user group are authorized only to execute existing queries."
the above statement, states other memebrs can be setup to execute only?
what must I do to make the endsers allow them to execute the query only?
for the first set of users i have within object S_QUERY made them to use change, maintain and translate.

Users with S_QUERY actvt=02 can move between infosets with no problem. If you are removing this then you need to specify which infosets are assigned to a user group and which users are assigned to the user group. If you have lots of users and queries already then this may be a big piece of work and illustrates why use of queries may save time for one team (developers) but give more work for others.

IDoc or Intermediate Document is a standard SAP document format. IDoc's allow different application systems to be linked via a message-based interface.

The IDoc message type ORDERS is used to send a purchase order to a vendor.
EDI = Electronic Data Interchange
EDI stands for Electronic Data Interchange, which means that data is electronically transmitted from one system to another. The main requirement of EDI is that the systems of the communicating partners understand each other. Usually, the data from one partner gets mapped into the format of the other partner and vice versa.
Supporting this there exist EDI standards (named EDIFACT, ANSIX12, ODETTE, VDA, TRADACOMS, SPEC2000, ...), where the data formatting for exchanging documents are specified. Normally the partners agree using a special standard message (for example EDIFACT message ORDERS for a purchase order).
In the SAP system the outgoing data are stored in IDoc format. When processing a receiving document, the Inbound SAP system receives the data in IDoc format too.
Further processing (converting/mapping from IDoc in another format and vice versa) depends on the partner agreement:
If the partners have agreed using a special EDI standard, mapping between IDoc and the EDI standard is necessary. This mapping is not supported by SAP, external converters or EDI subsystems must be installed by the customers for this purpose.
If both systems use SAP software, there is usually no need for mapping (which can save users a lot of money). The two systems are often connected via ALE (Application Link Enabling).
If partners are using XML, the SAP Business Connector can be used. The business connector is a tool used to help customers connect via EDI. It includes routing and mapping and is XML compatible. To read more about XML at SAP go to SAPNet Alias 'XML' (http://intranet.sap.com/XML).
For example:
Vendor can send the invoice by EDI creating an IDoc with message type INVOIC using IDoc Type INVOICxx. He can determine (depending on the partner agreement) how to create an IDoc for Inbound processing with FI or MM-IV.
ALE = Application Link Enabling
ALE is short for Application Link Enabling. Special Basic programs support this functionaliity (see documentation of BC_MID_ALE).
To link applications you have to configure an ALE model. It contains all relevant data about how a system's configuration (normally a central system and assigned local systems) exchange data.
With help of the ALE technology, the distribution of contracts is possible in MM via the following business process:
Contracts that a central purchasing organization distributes to local purchasing organizations to allow the latter to utilize the more favorable conditions they contain for the procurement of materials or external services.Each local purchasing organization sends information on its own release orders back to the central purchasing organization.
For this purpose the contract in the central system can be copied to the local systems (with message BLAORD and COND_A). When a release order to a distributed contract is created in a local system, the release docu is automatically sent to the central system (with message BLAREL) updating the release docu of the contract in the central system.
Precondition for this scenario is, that in all systems the used master data (material, vendor, sources of supply, ...) are the same. This master data can be distributed by ALE, which should be done before sending the contract from the central system. Available message types for distribution of master data are:

When i tried to upload data from R3 to BW based on generic DataSource
( function module ) , in the monitor i get the following error :
Status code : 56. Description: "Idoc with error added" .
How can i get more details about the error? How To correct the Error ?

and display 56 (double click) in WE02
you should see some more descriptions .

Post system refresh, "Request IDoc : IDoc with errors added"

Hello All,
Post system refresh, we are not able to execute the data loads.
While loading the Infopackage, the overall status is still showing in YELLOW status. but in the Transfer (IDOCs & TRFC), it shows an Error message as "Request IDoc : IDoc with errors added"
Yesterday immediately after the refresh, we were able to execute the master data loads (full loads)...
However, transaction loads (delta) is facing issues.
Today, we are facing the problem in both master and transaction data.
Please help!!!! Its a very critical issue!!!

Workflow Ends in Error " No auth to send IDocs with message type ORDRSP"

I have created an RFC user with limited Authoprizations including WE* tciodes and a few ME* transactons for an ALE Set up. I want to make sure i would not be giving more authorizations (extensive) to this RFC user and assign Just required authorizations. So i started testing testing and the inbound IDOC ended in error with a message " No auth to send IDocs with message type ORDRSP" Message no. SR053. Is there any way to find out what is the missing authorization object for the User. Any inputs would be really apprecaited.

Becaus alle this happens in beckgound, things are a bit difficult but solvable....
What you should do is a "Authority trace" ... as follows....:
- Go to the ST01
- Mark "Authorisation Check"
- Swich the trace on for your Workflow user
- Execute the Workflow until the error uccurs
- Go back to the ST01
- Press the "Analyze" button and see what error occurs
Dont forget to swicht the trace off... otherwise the tracefiles become realle BIG !
