Existing ATT Customer going from 3G to 3GS:  activation problems

I know this isn't an Apple issue (it's A "No MMS and Tethering" T&T's problem...). But thought I'd check here to see if I am missing something.
I popped my old SIM card (from my 3G) into the new 3GS phone. For a while the "activating phone...this may take some time" message was there. After I synced my data, music, etc, the message disappeared. Now there's just " _ _ _ _" where the ATT signal logo usually is.
Is there something else I need to do, or just wait?

    I'm not sure what's stopping me from doing this, so I'd like to bounce it off of you guys. My friend is upgrading to a 3G and will sell me his 2.5G iPhone very cheap. I'm on a family plan for ATT and currently have a Razr.
    I've popped my SIM card into his 2.5G phone and it works fine -- I can place and receive calls. Naturally, what worries me is the EDGE connection, as I don't have any kind of data plan.
    If I continue to use the iPhone, I assume I'll get hit hard with charges for things like email/stocks/weather which will continuously use the EDGE network even when I don't want to. If there's someway to disable that, and just use wifi (I have it everywhere) that would be optimal. I don't mind losing visual voicemail or anything, it's just an opportunity that's tough to pass up since he'd be selling me such a nice upgrade for so cheap.
    I've looked online and found an add-on called Services.app which will disable EDGE, but I'm not sure if this is effective or necessary. Can anyone shed some light on this situation?

    I think I get the jist. My mom (who purchased the phone as a gift) said she was told that the extension will go on for my number however at the end of her original two-year agreement she will be able to take advantage of upgrading her phone while my upgrade is technically being triggered now (AND A **** OF AN UPGRADE AT THAT, if I do say so myself ;))

  • Would going from xp to vista cause problems?

    I have a 2nd gen nano that was set up on an old pc running XP.
    I have now backed up my library on to an external hard drive in order to use the nano with my daughter's new laptop (which runs on Vista).
    This is all working fine, but when I sync the nano on the laptop, an error message comes up at the end saying " do you want to scan and fix this i pod? there might be a problem with some files on this device or disc". it then recommends scan and fix, but when i click to do this another message comes up saying " the disk check could not be performed because windows cannot access the disk".
    It syncs fine but the message comes up every time i connect the i pod!
    Could this be anything to do with the change between xp and vista?
    help!!!!

    Router has nothing to do with the operating system.If the router is configured then,you do not need to do anything on the router.Just connect the computer to the router and it will work.

    What wireless carrier did you use before this problem?
    Does the app Cydia appear on your iPhone?
    What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>About=>Carrier?

    My process has two roles: role1 and role2.
    role2 has an activity of type "Interactive" and the implementation type of this activity is Screenflow, in this Screenflow I have an instance variable of the type BPM Object.
    role1 has a Grab Activity from Interactive Activity that describes above, the Grab Activity has a unconditional transition to another Interactive Activity and this Interactive Activity has the same implementation type of the Interactive Activity of the role2 and points to the same Screenflow.
    I need to recover the values of the BPM Object that filled in role2, in other words, I need the same instance of the BPM Object in Interactive Acitivity of the role2 in the role1.
    If an user filled a field called "name" of BPM Object in the Interactive Activity of the role2, it needs to see that value in the Interactive Activity of the role1 after grabbed this activity of the role2 to role1.
    Is it possible?

    Sure it's just me, but I got a bit lost with the description of what you're trying to do. One place I got lost was in the discussion of roles. Roles are used in Oracle BPM processes for a variety of reasons, but I'm not sure they're germane to your problem so I'm trying to rephrase your question without their use.
    Here's my attempt to rephrase what it is that I think you're trying to do:
    1. I think you have two activities. I'm naming them "Check Credit" and "Final Check"
    2. I'm guessing you have a transition between the two activities "Check Credit" and "Final Check"
    3. Your process has an instance variable that is a BPM Object that I'm naming "customer". Since it's a BPM Object type, it has a variety of attributes (e.g. customer.name, customer.address, etc.)
    4. You have a Grab activity that has its "Runtime" property set to be "Defined" (meaning you have transitions defined coming into and out of the Grab activity). I think you might have a transition going from the "Final Check" activity to your Grab activity and I think you might have a transition going from the Grab to the "Check Credit" activity.
    Does this describe your process? I'm assuming you probably want to have the instance variable revert back to original values of the instance variable object before work was done in one of the activites, but don't want to head too far down this path until you confirm that this is what you want to know.

    The process to transfer Applecare is written in the agreement, from the US Applecare terms & conditions:
    Subject to the restrictions set forth below, you may make a one-time permanent transfer of all of your rights under the Plan to another party, provided that: (a) the transfer must include the original Proof of Purchase, the Plan's Certificate and all of the Plan's packaging material, including printed materials and these Terms and Conditions; (b) you notify Apple of the transfer by sending, faxing or e-mailing notice of transfer to Apple Inc., ATTN: Agreement Administration, MS: 217AC, 2511 Laguna Blvd, Elk Grove, CA 95758, U.S., fax number 916-399-7337 or [email protected], respectively; and (c) the party receiving the Plan reads and agrees to accept the Terms and Conditions of the Plan.     We have a requirement to invoke ADF custom application from existing EBS R12.1.3 application.
    Is there any documentation provided by ORACLE or any online help on how to integrate/invoke ADF pages from existing EBS application?
    And can we pass any EBS session level parameters like(user info, language, operating unit etc) to ADF layer while invoking the ADF application?

    I posted a private note and I got some crazy response about me switching wifi channels at home so my phone doesn't switch to mobile data. It didn't make any since to me. I'm not tech support. This is my problem below and it hasn't been resolved. I got a $20 credit and this issue has used up all my data for the entire billing cycle!! I'm really frustrated by this entire situation.
    I just received an email from ATT stating that my data usage ;reached 75% and I have 20 days left in my billing cycle. I call ATT Wireless, and stressed that both phones was at home and connected to WIFI (I am paying for ATT wireless internet service for 5 devices at home). I was told by the Wireless rep that my IPhone switches from WIFI to mobile data when the WIFI signal is weak. She told me to call ATT Internet. I made that call and was told that my Wireless signal was being interrupted by my neighboor's wireless signal; both wireless was using the same channel. He switched me to a different channel and rebooted the internet box. I was advise to turn my Cellular data off when at home and back on when I leave the house, so this won't happen again. Now, since my WIFI was dropping (without me knowing it; my phone still showed is was connected to WIFI) my data usage is very high and I only have .8 gig left for the next 20 days. After complaining about having to eventually purchase more data, I was transferred to Collections to see if I could get a credit. Needless to say, they couldn't help me. I was told to call ATT Wireless again!!!
    After telling the same story for a fourth time, I was given a $15 credit to offset the charge for 1 gig when I go over the data limit. I was told that I now have to manage that 1.8 gig for the next 20 days, by turning cellular data on/off and logging into my account to make sure I am not going over my limit! 75% of data was used at no fault of mines, but I am inconvenienced. When my home wireless drops, I get screwed. I have been a long time ATT customer, but this is making me rethink my relationship with ATT. This company has these two divisions that do not talk to each other and the customer suffers! I am very frustrated with this entire process.
    How do I escalate this issue, so it doesn't happen again?

    Customer's already exist in our ECC system. In CRM, we need to create the ECC customer;s as BP in install at role. From some ot the previous threads, I found that PIDE transaction can be used. Can anyone explain me the steps clearly for creating the BP's in CRM correpsonding to the R/c customer. I don't want to replicate them as BP's in ECC.

    You have done important steps.
    You have to check all relevant functional modules are available in the table.
    Then,you have to maintain/delete entries based on standard document.
    Make sure all Queue is available with system users,right RFC and the queue is registered.
    Make sure all the RFC connections are created and working properly.
    You have to generate the objects.
    Please check some of the above steps .

  • Business partner ######### does not exist as customer, change not possib

    We are in the process of upgrading from CRM 4.0 to CRM 7.0
    I am currently testing our DEV system (that has been upgraded) and have found the following issue:
    When I create a customer in transx BP the customer is not going through to R/3 - this is the case for all roles, even when ALL data is completed that needs to be there for masdatory fields in R/3
    In SMW01 the BUPA_MAIN is set to green but but is not sent to R/3, when I look into the Error Segments there is an error stating that - Business partner 0005074626 does not exist as customer, change not possib
    Does anyone know what this means or how to fix the problem

    I have checked all the mapping and all is ok.
    When a BP is created in transx BP as a 'Business Parter (GEN)' role it
    saves OK but when you change, or extaend into another Role,
    say 'Prospect' and update the classification etc there is an ERROR in
    SMW01 stating:
    'Business partner 0005074628 does not exist as customer, change not
    possib'
    If a BP is created in the Prospect Role all is well, the issue is with customers that are created in BP GEN first, we have thousands that are created in BP GEN then extended when they need to go through to R/3 for sales processing

  • Going from EHP3 to EHP4

    Experts,
    We already have ECC6.0Ehp3.  After installing  EHp3, we activated 2 business function sets in SFW5 and followed the normal processes to get this moved into the other clients.  No problem!
    That was many months ago.  now, we are ready to do Ehp4 and that is my question.
    Knowing that we are already on EhP3 and have already activated business function sets, eg ISU_UTIL_1 / ISU_UTIL_WASTE, etc.
    So once we finished the install of EhP4 via the Enhancement Pack installer, will we need to go back to SFW5 and activate business function sets again?  We already have all the functionality we need from when we did the SFW5 after EHP3 install, I don't want to activate anything new, but I wonder if that is a requirement when going from one EHP to a new one?  If so, how do we keep from overwriting the config we already have?
    I have fully read the following guides:

    Thanks again for following up, but I have seen this and fully read the note.  Let me be more specific:
    Is there any one out there who has applied a previous ECC Enhancement Pack (like EHP3, then activated a business function set in SFW5 (like IS-util), then copied the customization to all clients....and THEN at a later date applied EHP4 ???
    If so, after applying EHP4, did you AGAIN have to go into SFW5?  If not SFW5, did you have to use SCU0 to find additional features from existing business sets in client 000 and again copy that into the productive clients?
    I know what the ambiguous documentation says, but when it comes down to REALLY doing this, I am still not clear.  Please don't bother cutting/pasting sections from the tech guide and SAP note I have already referenced in a previous post.  I have ready them....
    Maybe I'm over-thinking this.....
    Also, what if I wanted to activate a complely new business function set?  After activating in SFW5, has anyone done this in a way that copies the new functionality in 000 but does not stomp on the previous customization from other activations?

  • Unable to Transfer Customer Masters from feeder system to GTS!

    I am facing a problem in transferring customer masters from ecc to gts. The RFC's are working properly (i.e Material Masters are getting transferred properly) but customers are not going. When i go to slg1 it is giving me a display log message as "No Customs Business Partner exists for partner" and when i go to legalr3 it is saying 0 were processed when i am trying to transfer a list of customers. The basic config has been done ie org structure, doc type mapping, item cat mapping, and the necessary compliance config...
    Would appreciate if you could provide some help here?

    As you have already mentioned that RFCs are working fine, However To be on safe side, I will recommend to check the basis setting again.. Please follow the steps below and let me know if it helps.
    R/3 client:-
    Please make sure that there should be no change in Logical naming of the R/3 client (scc4)
    RFC Destinations are maintained properly for RFC Calls. Please check their rfc username and password. (sm59)
    RFC Destinations are maintained correctly for Method Calls (bd97)
    ALE Distribution Model is set up correctly (bd64)
    Change Pointers are activated globally
    Change Pointers for Message Types are correct
    it should be
    Customer master    /SAPSLL/DEBMAS_SLL
    Vendor master     /SAPSLL/CREMAS_SLL
    Material master   /SAPSLL/MATMAS_SLL
    GTS client:-
    Please make sure that there should be no change in Logical naming of the R/3 client (scc4)

    Feeder system definition is correct in your Logical System Group (spro)

    Hi, I am trying to get my voice memos from my iPhone 3GS to my MacBook Pro via iTunes and it is not working. I have ticked sync music in the music tab of the iPhone device and the include voice memos box is also ticked. So, apparently this should work, but there is no sign of the voice memos in iTunes or in the iTunes folder in the finder window. Any ideas much appreciated! :-) Thank you.

    I've always had the "Include Voice Memos" option selected. I think that only pertains to syncing voice memos from iTunes to the iPhone after it has been copied to iTunes. It has to be the new OS/iTunes not communicating that new memos have been recorded. For some reason they won't sync when I want them to, and then a few syncs later they magically appear.
    By the way, I'm VERY comfortable with the iTunes and iPhone systems. I've been using iTunes for 5 years, and I've been recording class lectures with the iPhone voice memo app (and another app) for a couple years. It's not an error of not seeing that the memos were added; they don't exist in my library or music folders.
    JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY, POST WHICH FIRMWARE YOU ARE RUNNING EXACTLY!!!
    I'm on an iPhone 4, running firmware 4.0.1
