if you dont want to do ME91F, then just use ME2L.
here use the selection parameter WE101 for open goods receipts.
further enter todays date in the selection field delivery date, keep the cursor in that field and press F2, then select the symbol for smaller than.
Execute the selection and you will get all overdue receipts.

  • No data in Business Process Analytics after setting up BPA and BPMon

    Hi,
I have followed the BPA set up guide and done all the configuration for BPA. I have set up BPMon for a solution and in the logical component node i have done configuration for many application monitors.
Also in the "Load Master Data" node the master data is loaded. But still in BPA when I am selecting the time frame and applying it I am getting a message that no data is applicable in the selected time frame.
How can i get the data in BPA.

  • Business Process: Final Demand Plan Key Figure in the past for APO DP

    Hello APO process experts,
I have a BPX question for APO DP process owners, consultants or gurus:
1.- Have you ever seen in any SAP APO customer, that in their APO DP planning books, they chose or designed to update the Final Demand Plan key Figure in the past closed historical buckets with the Actual Sales?
Meaning that that in the Past closed historical Buckets, Actual Sales and Final Demand Plan, look exactily the same.
Meaning that they create a dynamic Final Demand Plan key figure so to speak, yet they did not choose to create a key figure that also keeps the Final Demand Plan as originally entered.
2.- Would you think that doing the above, without keeping any keyfigure in the planning book that actually shows what the Final Demand Plan was in the Past, is a good practice?
The Demand Planner could still retreive the Final Demand Plan from BI reports, yet, dynamically they could never really see it in the planning book.
3.- Do you think the above dynamic key figure would bias the Demand Planner's behaviour to manipulate the future open Final Demand Plan buckets to enter volumes in order sum to a monthly total, independently of what were the over and underachievements in the past (since they are not really visible to him) ?
I would really like your feedback,
    thanks in advance!
    JD Loera

    Hello Thanks for your feedback.
I agree with your point, and I hope that i still get more feedback from other Business Process Experts.
I am trying to build a case for my client, to challenge the decision of their initial design as this practice is going to hurt the Demand Management process, if what they intend to achieve is a true "unconstrained demand plan"
    Much appreciated

  • Error while converting BPMN to BPEL in Business Process Architect

    Hey,
I am using Business Process Architect 11gR1 where I have modeled my process. Now that I have to move this model to BPM, I am using the option SOA -> share blueprint with IT in BPA. A dialog appears that asks to validate the model. I confim with "Yes" and it shows the conversion progress bar but after the while an error appears (a java exception). A report opens in my browser that has the following message
Validation of a service-oriented BPMN model in Oracle BPA Suite
Structure rules for BPMN in Oracle BPA Suite
Rules for a service-oriented BPMN model in Oracle BPA Suite
    String not found: RULEKIND_NAMEd89733d0-d605-11db-0505-000fb0c4ad32
The java exception is "Error while creating report:
    report: oraclebpmn2bpel, line 632
Type error: cannot find function getErrNo in object.java.lang.IllegalArgumentException. (oraclebpmn2bpel#632)
can anyone please help me as to why this happens and how it can be sorted out?
    Edited by: user10303310 on Dec 13, 2011 3:10 AM

    Hi Julika,
The error message might not be related to the activities itself. I assume your model is not well structured. Consider that the following points aren't disregarded:
    * Never "jump" out of a particular branch into a different part of the model or into another branch
    * All functions/events have only one incoming/outgoing connection
    * Process parallel flows should be specified by splitting and joining AND/XOR rules, or they should contain either one splitting AND/XOR rule only for which there is no other connection between their paths, or one joining AND/XOR rule only that is met by all connections.
Let me know if it did not help to fix your problem.

  • Queries on Business Process Monitoring (BPM) & Interface Monitoring

    Dear all,
I have got a few queries on the subject and would greatly appreciate any valuable inputs.
Before I proceed, want to clarify that I have downloaded all overtly available  documents (PDFs, SIMs) from the following URLs:
    http://service.sap.com/rkt-solman
    http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager  Media Library
    http://service.sap.com/bpm Media Library
I may not have read them all though since I come from a Functional angle.
Kindly reply to whatever query you can please. Not all of them are sequential.
    Queries:
    (1) How are Interfaces with External Systems (beyond the firewall of the enterprise) monitored ?
    (2) Is it really worth listing all such External Systems as Logical Components in their own right ? I guess this makes sense if at a Process Step level, one wants to list a 'specific' Logical Component involved instead of 'generic' term like External System. However, it would benefit only if Interface Monitoring is feasible; isn't it ?
    (3) There are Interfaces which are built between SAP and External System and serve various Business Processes under various Business Scenarios. In such circumstances,  it is not easy to list which Process 'owns' the Interface. Therefore, under a normal Implementation Project structure (SOLAR02), choosing a particular Process Step, getting into 'Development' Tab and listing the Interface Program name may not be feasible, since there is no particular place where it belongs.
Is it therefore a good idea to create namesake Scenario for capturing all interfaces and list a library of all interfaces and store documents right there ? If so, will these namesake processes be of any use in BPM at a later date ?
    (4) If my primary objective is to accomplish Interface Monitoring and not Business Process Monitoring per se, is it a good idea to create a new Solution Landscape, and manually create Business Processes that are suited to list Interfaces than to assign Template or Implementation Project to the Solution Landscape, and inherit those Processes ?
    (5) What is it that a SAP Competence (Support) Centre will find as a 'major' gain in activating BPM to monitor Interfaces alone - is there something that SolMan's BPM based Interface Monitoring gives more than what PI level reporting may provide them with ?
    (6) In Interfaces with Non-SAP Systems (some of them are old/ proprietary legacy systems with Credit Card companies; some of them are like 'Active Directory' servers), is it possible to define Metrics for BPM that such systems will contribute to SolMan, for reporting purposes ? Or, is it too much to hope for
Thanks again, for your patience and advance thanks for your kind responses.

    Hi,
    Welcome to BPM
You have asked too many questions in a single Post, Please read rules of engagement before posting
You can monitor the following without any trouble.
    ●      ALE/EDI
    ●      qRFC
    1) Its obvious, if your firewall blocks all your request to external enterprise, it is not possible to monitor.
    3) These interfaces are not the one related to development tab in SOLAR02, you have to map them from BPM.
    4) Yes, you don't have to depend on any project for your processes, you can add it in your Solution Landscape.
    5) Post a Separate Thread!!!

  • Business Process Management - End-to-End Analysis and Performance KPI's

    Hello,
I am from WB and were looking to expand our footprint with Business Process Monitoring.
For critical business processes (order to cash, release to accounting, procure to pay; create shopping cart, etc.) how can be map and determine for the business units the expected run times as well as capturing / reporting historical trend analysis; looking at from a company business process level and not an SAP transaction level.
We were disappointed that we were unable to find this detailed functionality in SolMan (dashboards, metrics, customizable reports, etc.) that  could tell us how long a WB business process takes to execute form start to finish.
Does anyone have any info as to if NetWeaver BPM  can capture and trend the complete A-Z run times of a Business Process?
Iu2019m I missing something here?! I would think something this basic would automatically be a part of SolMan BPM Monitoringu2026

  • Business process (Integration) monitoring - Solution Manager?

    Hi Experts
I have a requirement here for business process monitoring at my client. The client wants to have a solution for monitoring of few key business processes for example incoming orders. The flow data flow is as follows: third party system -> AS2 -> XI1 ->XI2 -> MQ->ERP. Ideally, all the incoming messages should be processed within 3 minutes of sending by thirdy party system. The basic requirement from business to have a view of the number of messages sent by the external system and numbers of orders created in the system and if there is any message with processing time of more than 3 minutes, it should be reported. Also, if there is any failure in any of the points of failure - the reason of failure needs to be reported
I am thinking of using solution mnaager diagnostics and willy introscope for collecting data from XI Adapter framweork and Integration engine and the ERP system.
    My queries -
Can solution manager fetch the data from non SAP system - AS2 service/MQ etc? if yes, how?
The solution i am thinking of - is it good one or is there any better solution - light weight/performance efficient?
In case i go ahead with the approach mentioned above, would there be an extra licensing cost for installing SMD agents and Willy on different applications?
Can we do a simple reporting i ERP system by fetching data from XI1 & XI2 systems? I understand that it wouldnt give us any details of the Java components or non SAP applications, but keeping in mind the limitations, is it a viable solution?
    Any inputs would be great.
    Regards

    HI Ethan,
I'm not sure about the BPMon framework in Sol MAn 7.0 if it can be used with PI or not. I remember from teched that the end-to-end monitoring for PI was available only in 7.1 and with SAP PI 711.
From what I know wily gives you information about the status on the system (CPU, memory consumption etc) and not about the message flow so you can still use it but for the technical monitoring set up.
Also in teched I have participated at a hands-on workshop (ALM361 [http://www.sapteched.com/emea/edu_sessions/session.htm?id=542]) where we enabled the BPMon framework to use webservices provided by a non-sap application.
    Hope this helps.

  • Business Process Monitoring - Application Monitoring help.

    Hi all,
Through Business Process Monitoring, I am trying to configure monitoring on table NAST, so that an alert will be generated for Billing documents print outputs (application=V3, transm. medium=1) on specific message types, if the processing status is equal to either 0 (not processed) or 2 (incorrectly processed).
I have configured this through application monitoring, using the 'Messages (Output Determination)' monitoring object. Under this,  was able to configure the 2 key figures of "unprocessed messages" and "incorrectly processed messages" with the parameters mentioned above (application and message type).
I set the yellow alert threshold to 1, and the red alert threshold to 2, as I want to be notified each time a print output goes into status 0 or 2, and that a red alert be generated in the case where 2 or more print outputs are not successful.
However, upon activation of this monitoring, I came across the following issue: The table NAST already has over 40 historic entries of unprocessed and incorrectly processed messages for these message types. The monitoring is picking up all these entries right away, and therefore a red alert is being generated.
There does not appear to be a way to configure the monitoring to only look for new entries in the table matching the criteria, e.g. look for billing docs with status = incorrectly processed during the last 24 hours. It seems that unless the existing entries in the table NAST are either deleted or have their status changed to "processed", the monitoring will always pick up these entries and report a red alert, even if no new entries are discovered.
Does anyone know how a way of configuring a date range with this type of monitoring, or do I have to modify the existing entries in the table (either delete them, change their status or set the "disregard" indicator on the messages in the table) before this monitoring will work as I hoped it would?
Secondly - a more general point - although there are lots of good documents on configuring Business Process Monitoring, I have not yet found one which gives full details on all the different types of application monitoring available, and how each of them can be configured. I know that within Application Monitoring, when you choose a monitoring type, the grey box at the top half of the screen gives some good information on what the monitoring does and how to configure it, but a document which captures all these monitoring types in one place would be very useful - if anyone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it!
Thanks in advance for any help with the first issue above,
    Regards,
    John

    Hi John,
you get an overview about all available key figures in the PPT "Business Process & Interface Monitoring - Part 2" under https://service.sap.com/bpm --> Media Library --> Customer Information. It lists all Monitoring Object and Key Figures with Select-Options. There is no document that describes the setup of every key figure as the setup is too similar for most objects. Therefore the grey text boxes within the tool.
The NAST collector will always pick-up everything older than x days. So you would have to process or delete the olde entries. But it is a good advise that for this rather technical key figure we should think about a delta mechanism like with our IDOC or ABAP dump monitor.
    Best Regards

  • Process reports

    Hello,
Not sure if that's been already answered somewhere, but what's the best way to provide process reports? I am looking for the answers to the following questions:
    1. Is there a way to get all processes (completed/in-progress) for a user-specified period of time? For example, report that for the first week of 2009 there were 10 voting process instances, 9 complete and 1 still pending.
    2. Is it possible to access instance variables (custom BPM Objects) for a collection of processes for a user-specified period of time? For example, to build a CSV file with voter information (approx. 30 fields) for voters who participated in the voting process for the last month.
    Thanks.
    Nick.

    Hi Nick,
Is there a way to get all processes (completed/in-progress) for a user-specified period of time? For example, report that for the first week of 2009 there were 10 voting process instances, 9 complete and 1 still pending. While you could use the BAM database for both instances that are still active and those that have reached the end, it looks like you'd like to go further back in time than what the BAM database stores. The BAM database typically stores what's either happening right now or what has happened in the last 24 hours. While this time period is an easily modifiable Engine setting, for performance reasons you'd be better off leaving it set to the default (24 hours).
There is a Data Store database with the same exact structure as the BAM database. This database has no time limit associated with it. As long as it's a project variable defined as a "Business Indicator", this information will automatically be stored in the Data Store database and not roll off.
My preference would be (not that I get a vote) to instead just use external tables that you define to store the information. As instances flow through the process, you'd update the table(s) via SQL in PBL.
Is it possible to access instance variables (custom BPM Objects) for a collection of processes for a user-specified period of time? For example, to build a CSV file with voter information (approx. 30 fields) for voters who participated in the voting process for the last month.Niether the BAM nor the Data Store databases store BPM Object information.
I think you'd be better served using external tables that you define also for this requirement. That way you would not have to clutter the process up with the specifics on the voter information (unless you needed it inside the process) and yet you could still access it at any time in the future from the database. If you don't go this route, the challenge you will have is when you want to extract information from instances that have reached the End activity. The BPM Object information can be retrieved from instances currently running inside the process (would be glad to share how this is done if you'd like), but it's a different story once the instance is archived.
    Hope this helps,
    Dan

Hello to All,       I installed PI7.1 and after client copy - Business Process Engine is showing Red Led in RWB.
When I click on BPE, the message at bottom of screen (in Yellow Status) indicates " Schedule background job for clearing report".  Please let me know if any one has the solution with details.
I gone thru the link in SDN, but no resolution yet.

Hi Mark,  All the nodes are green under "Maintain Runtime Environment" and "Maintain Definition Environment".
In RWB, component monitoring --> Display -- Business process engine is RED with message as

I looked under batch jobs "SWWCLEAR" and it is already ran successfully.
Please let me know how can i make BPE green.

  • Business process check-in/check-out - who has checked out and when?

We have been using the business process check-in/check-out functionality for 18 months and there are an increasing number of process's that have been checked out to the maintenance project and never checked in again. Is there a straight forward way in the system to see who had checked out a business process and when? When using the SOLMAN_DIRECTORY transaction it is easy to see which process's are checked out as they are marked the red OUT symbol and have check-out status = checked out - but no other information about the check-out seems to be available either in this transaction or on a separate report.

    Hello Steve,
What Peter neglected to tell you is once you enable history on the Solution a history log will begin to populate.
It will show as the standard "Log" icon for HISTORY. Every change will be logged at each level of the structure.
Here is an example of a History log line....while it is not a check-in.out change it will give you an idea
Name             Date             Time              Change                               Object                           Old Value           New Value
    I809573     24.01.2011     22:33:32     Process Availability     Material Management          7 x 24 h
What you can do is filter the report on the values that will give you the check-in/check out against the objects you want to track.
This is how you can use the "Enable History" to get the information you are interested it.
Just two things to be aware of : 1) The history will not be retro active (unless it was already enabled), so it will start from the day you enable logging (history), and logs take up space, which at some point maintenance will likely be required, however I don't see these logs having high disk usuage.
If it were documents that you wanted a report on check-in/check-out for, you likely could use the transaction Solar_Eval under Documents, but there are no standard reports for this...and filtering the History log file accordingly is about the best reporting
that would give a result. This log file can be printed, or you could capture the printoutput to a file and there is your Electronic version of the report.
    I hope this has helped.

  • Inter Company Business Process Overview

    Hi,
    Could someone provide explanation on
    1. Inter Company Business Process / accounting
    2. Consolidation process
Points would be assigned for satisfactory answers.
    regards
    Shankar

    Dear Shankar,
    1. Inter Company Business Process / accounting
This involves inter company transaction amongst the Group.
This may be in relation to the following.
    1. Common Debtors/Vendors
    2. Investments
    3. Inter company deposits and transfers of funds
    4. Inter company transfers of stock
    etc.
    2. Consolidation process
In case of consolidation process entire listed above categories are added up for totalling them at a Group level or Company level.
So in short these two are interrelated. At the time of consolidation all inter company debts are set off for making a consolidated balance sheet for reporting purposes.
    Hope this answers your question

  • Build your RPD around business processes

    Hi,
I have read many blogs and books around RPD and best practices. Many recommend building out the RPD around business processes. Refering to 11G. Currently my RPD development is still under development, not released to TEST or Production. My subject areas are layed out by Business Areas - Fact Table
    EG:
    - Supply Chain - Purchase Orders
    - Supply Chain - Purchase receipts
    - Supply Chain - Inventory
    - Work Order - Parts List
    - Work Order - Routing
    - Work Order - WO Master
    - manufacturing - Messages
    etc...
Now I am debating if I should rebuild it by Business processes as now I want to do some multiple subject area reporting and having join issues (Casting Nulls) Just wondering on how others are building theirs, and issues your having or am I the only one building around tables instead of Process. We did not buy the OBIEE apps due to certain reasons.
Love to hear your setup's and thoughts,
    Thanks!
    Jonathan

    Hi Jonathan,
I think, it is best to build the Subject Areas around business processes than facts. Any reporting tool, is supposed to answer analytical questions for set of business questions which might have to be served from different facts.
A user might want to see his sales figures are for this month and look at the inventory at the same time, to check the availability. (Sorry if this was a bad example ;) ), which would need to join across subject areas if they are fact based.
Hope, you got my point and this helps.
    Thank you,
    Dhar
