Export Definitions (XSD Files)

Hi Experts,
I'm working with integration(PI 7.1) of the Web Services and when import Export Definitions(XSD file) on "External References"  tab have one row with column source xxxx and name "null".
Where I change the column name? Because this reference is necessary for element's type in XSD.
Can anyone help me?
Thank you,
Bruno

Hello Bruno,
In your external definition for the referenced XSD,you would have following fields:
1) Category: Here you select xsd
2) File: xsdname.xsd (you select referenced xsd)
3) Source : enter above xsd name with location as mentioned in statement include schemaLocation="\xsdname.xsd"
Then your name under main XSD Name column should be populated.
Please let us know if it works.
Thanks.

Shweta

  • "Messages" problem after importing .xsd file as external definition

    Hello,
    I received an .xsd file from a customer and need to import it as an "External Definition" in order to create the "Message Interface". The structure of the xsd looks like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
    <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:px="http://www.opentrans.org/XMLSchema/1.0" targetNamespace="http://www.opentrans.org/XMLSchema/1.0" elementFormDefault="qualified">
    <xsd:element name="ORDER">
    </xsd:element>
    <xsd:element name="ADDRESS">
    </xsd:element>
    <xsd:element name="ARTICLE_ID">
    </xsd:element>
    </xsd:schema>
    After importing and looking at the tab "Messages" I get numerous entries, for each <xsd:element> I get one message! But I basically only need one "Message" that holds my complete xsd-file.
    I tried inserting <xsd:element name="COMPLETEORDER"> right after the <xsd:schema>-Tag but that didn't work either. Somehow I need to sum up all the <xsd:elements>.
    Does anyone have an idea? Thank you very much!
    Peter

    Hello Prateek, Hello everyone,
    I now know what the problem is. I downloaded XMLspy and checked on the structure:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
    <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:px="http://www.opentrans.org/XMLSchema/1.0" targetNamespace="http://www.opentrans.org/XMLSchema/1.0" elementFormDefault="qualified">
    <xsd:element name="ORDER">
    </xsd:element>
    <xsd:element name="ADDRESS">
    </xsd:element>
    <xsd:element name="ARTICLE_ID">
    </xsd:element>
    <xsd:simpleType name="dtBOOLEAN">
    </xsd:simpleType>
    <xsd:simpleType name="dtCOUNTRIES">
    </xsd:simpleType>
    <xsd:element name="SUPPLIER_AID">
    </xsd:element>
    <xsd:simpleType name="typeSUPPLIER_AID">
    </xsd:simpleType>
    </xsd:schema>
    Between the long list of <xsd:element> tags there are some simpleTypes on the same
    level. Now if I insert
    <xsd:element name="COMPLETEORDER">
    <xsd:complexType>
    <xsd:sequence>
    on top, the <xsd:sequence> would be on the same level as the simpleTypes - which is not valid!
    But can I just move all the simpleTypes, e.g. into an <xsd:element>??
    That would be changing the customer's structure which I think is not a good thing!?
    Thank you again for your help! I really appreciate it!

  • XSD file Created in PI 7.0 is not working in MDM

    Hi Experts,
    Need your help on the below scenario:
    I have created the data types in in PI 7.0 and exported XSD file but, while connecting to syndicator (by using XML Schema file option)  system  is giving root element is missg error message. But, if i create the XSD file By using 3rd party XSD tools that XSD file working fine..
    Can any one let me know the reason why the XSD file created by PI System is giving the Problem ?
    Thanks in Advance
    Mahesh

    Hi Mahesh,
    usually XSDs from PI do not contain the <xsd:element>Name your Root Element</xsd:element> definition that is required for MDM Syndicator. If you compare the files as suggested, you'll notice something like that in the XSD of the third party tool. Still you could add this definition manually to the XSD from PI. Then the XSD will work, too.

  • How do you create an xsd file for an xml schema in BI Publisher?

    Helllo.
    I hope this is a really daft question for somebody..
    How I create an xsd file to be used as an xml schema to attach to a Data Definition that Ive created? I've obv. got the xml and rtf files ready and attached. I've looked through the relevant docs (XML Publisher Report Designer's Guide.pdf & XML Publisher Administration and Developer's Guide.pdf) but can't find where..
    Once this has been done then I can run the template via ORACLE Financials for the reports I've converted.
    many thanks..
    Steven

    I don't think you need to have an XSD it's an optional field. If you really want to create one use this site: http://www.hitsw.com/xml_utilites/
    I believe I answered your question, don't forget to give me the points.

  • Display Image on report through Field Definitions Only File.

    Hi all,
    I have a report where I work with Field Definitions Only files (ttx).
    These files are mapped to classes in code behind (csharp).
    In code behind I make lists of these classes. Each list is set as the datasource of a subreport.
    This works great!
    My new goal:
    Now I tried adding a picture to my report.
    In the TTX file I added a BLOB field.
    In the code-behind class I added a System.Drawing.Image.
    My actual problem:
    The class gets filled with the image, but the image is NOT displayed on the report
    Does anyone know why this is happening?
    How can I fix this? (should I use another Type in my class for the picture?) (should I format the picture in the report? ....)
    Kind regards,
    Wim

    Hi AG,
    Thanks for your response.
    This is my TTX field:
    Signature     BLOB
    I can't see the image in the report because I create the image in code-behind.
    I think the problem doesn't occur in CrystalReports but in the conversion from my StrokeCollection (I use an InkCanvas [WPF] to capture a signature) to a ByteArray.
    I am already one step closer to the solution. You can't just assign an object of type Image to the BLOB field of the report but it has to be a Byte-Array.
    The problem I am facing now is that the picture is black after a conversion. (I see this when I export to disk and open the file in MSPaint).
    The good thing is that CR shows me a black image so I guess CR is doing its job!
    Kind regards,
    Wim

  • How to create java classes when multiple xsd files with same root element

    Hi,
    I got below error
    12/08/09 16:26:38 BST: [ERROR] Error while parsing schema(s).Location []. 'resultClass' is already defined
    12/08/09 16:26:38 BST: [ERROR] Error while parsing schema(s).Location []. (related to above error) the first definition appears here

    I tried genarate java classes from multiple xsd files, but getting above error, here in .xsd file i have the <xe: element="resultClass"> in all .xsd files.
    So I removed all .xsd files accept one, now genarated java classes correctly. but i want to genarte the java classes with diffrent names with out changing .xsd
    Can you please tell me any one how to resolve this one......
    regards
    prasad.nadendla

    Gregory:
    If you want to upload several Java classes in one script the solution is .sql file, for example:
    set define ?
    create or replace and compile java source named "my.Sleep" as
    package my;
    import java.lang.Thread;
    public class Sleep {
    public static void main(String []args) throws java.lang.InterruptedException {
    if (args != null && args.length>0) {
    int s = Integer.parseInt(args[0]);
    Thread.sleep(s*1000);
    } else
    Thread.sleep(1000);
    create or replace and compile java source named "my.App" as
    package my;
    public class App {
    public static void main(String []args) throws java.lang.InterruptedException {
    System.out.println(args[0]);
    exit
    Then the .sql file can be parsed using the SQLPlus, JDeveloper or SQLDeveloper tools.

  • XML and XSD file to an internal table

    Best Regards,

    I just tried to interpret your question, it was not obvious what you wanted.
    I guess what you mean is that you have defined (statically) a deep structure, and you want to decode the XML into it. That is called a transformation (transaction STRANS, statement CALL TRANSFORMATION). You have the choice between 2 transformation languages: XSLT and ST. Of course, it depends what release you are running.
    I advise you to play first with the ID transformation, to convert an ABAP deep structured data object into XML, so that you see what XML is generated, this one is called asXML. If you create your own transformation, when you call it, it will first convert automatically the data object to asXML, and the transformation has to do the rest of the job.
    You can do the opposite, i.e. converting from XML to a data object, according to the same principle (intermediate asXML).
    Well, there are lots of things to say, I recommend you to read articles and documentation on XSLT and ST (search on SDN).
    About XSD, it won't help (and I did never see any possibility to use it) to decode the XML, as you must anyway define the target data object statically (and there's no tool to generate the ABAP code of the data object definition from the XSD).
    Note that you may also use iXML libraries to parse the XML.
    Please tell us more.

  • How to create an XSD file from xml

    Hi,
    Is there any way to generated an XSD file from an already existing XML file.
    Does Jdeveloper 10g , has any feature to create the xsd file automatically?
    Please advice
    Regards

    Here are the steps I took to create an XSLT transformation in XI 3.0:
    1. I created my source and target XSDs using XMLSpy.
    2. I created the XSLT mapping from source to target in XMLSpy (referencing the souce XSD schema).
    3. I created another XSLT mapping to format the target into Excel XML.
    4. Import the source and target XSDs in the IR's External Definitions
    5. Zip each XSLT mapping (.xls) and import it into the IR's Imported Archives
    6. Reference the XSL mappings in the Interface Mapping

  • How to create an XSD file

    Hello Guys
    Are there any instructions (Steps) out there to create an XSD file to use in SOAP adapter?
    I have a table with the following fields and need to create an XSD file to import in ID to configure a sender SOAP adapter.
    ID                Type   NUMC    Lenth 10
    FNAME        Type   CHAR    Length 20
    LNAME        Type   CHAR    Length 20
    Any feedback or response will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ram

    Hi,
    Generally, adapters are independent of the message types that you want to exchange.
    You have to create all necessary object in Integration Repository, here you can create either DataType based on an existing XSD or you can use data type editor, you can also import xsd as an external definition. Then you create message types, interfaces, mappings etc.
    In Integration Directory you will configure earlier created objects and you will configure SAOP adapter as a communication channel of your Business System/Service.

  • Product-sku-output-config.xml - Is there a schema definition (XSD or DTD)?

    For the product-sku-output-config.xml file (used to define the set of product and sku attributes that are sent to Endeca from ATG as part of the Baseline Index process, as defined in chapter 4 of the ATGEndecaIntegrationGuide.pdf, 10.1.2 version), is there a schema definition (XSD or DTD) available?
    The format used by product-sku-output-config.xml seems similar to, but not the same as, the format described by http://www.atg.com/dtds/search/indexing-dependency-schema.dtd. For example, p35 of the ATGEndecaIntegrationGuide.pdf gives an example of a product-sku-output-config.xml with a "properties" child element of the top-level "item" element; per that indexing-dependency-schema.dtd, that isn't allowed. (Per that DTD, it should be either "meta-properties" or "text-properties", not "properties".)
    More generally, I'm wondering if there's place that fully defines what can go into the product-sku-output-config.xml file.
    I'm also interested this same question for the category-dim-output-config.xml file.

  • Import Multiple XSD Files

    Is it not possible to import multiple xsd files. If a single file is used there is no problem but when the second import statement is added, it will not compile.
    It complains that it cannot find one of the element types. Removing the second import it compiles fine.
    I also tried it using seperate schema tags for each import.
    <types>
      <schema xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
       <import namespace="http://TargetNamespace.com/ftpadapter"
               schemaLocation="delimited_2.txt"/>
       <import namespace="http://xmlns.oracle.com/FTP_Test"
               schemaLocation="FTP_Test.xsd"/>
      </schema>
    </types>

    It is possible to add multiple XSD's in WSDL.
    1. Did u add different namespace alias's for these two in <definitions> section ??
    2.How you are referring the element which it can't find in the wsdl ?
    Try this to identify the issue
    "remove the first xsd and use the second one alone. "
    If this works then it eliminates that there is an issue with xsd.
    Thanks,

  • Oracle Sqldeveloper and *.xsd Files

    Hi,
    I've been playing with writing some simple sqldeveloper xml extensions.
    I ran across this link:
    http://wiki.oracle.com/page/SQL+Dev+SDK+How+To+create+an+XML+User+Defined+Extension
    Extension Framework
    SQL Developer database navigator, database object editors, database object actions and reports can be extended easily using XML.
    TODO : Expose the xsd files
    The XML for each type of extension (NAVIGATOR, EDITOR,ACTION,REPORT) can be found here in xsd format.
    Use these as a reference after completing the examples below.
    * navigator.xsd
    * editor.xsd
    * action.xsd
    * report.xsd
    I had a look around in sql developer, but couldn't see these files. Are they available somewhere?
    Thanks.

    So, in the meantime, the best way to get started is to copy the examples, like the ones in the wiki entry and adapt them to do what you want to do. The places to add your own SQL and your own names are pretty easy to figure out with a little study. There are a few more examples in the Oracle Wiki, and some on the SQL Developer pages on OTN. Many thanks to Sue Harper and Dermot O’Neill. Find their articles at:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/oramag/oracle/07-jul/o47sql.html
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/oramag/oracle/07-may/o37sql.html
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/hol08/sqldev_srccodexmlext/xmlext_otn.htm
    http://wiki.oracle.com/page/SQL+Dev+SDK+Getting+Started
    Also, if you want to create an EDITOR style extension, start by creating a User Defined Report and export it as an XML file. There are only a few differences between the two formats, mostly an extra attribute to tell SQL Developer where to hook the editor to the navigator.
    Finally - I wrote my own paper on extending SQL Developer: http://www.smdi.com/employee/JohnF/articles/Extending%20SQL%20Developer.zip

  • Validating a xml schema (xsd file)

    Hi,
    I was wondering - my program should accept schema files and before doing whatever it does with them I want to put them through a validation and present errors if any.
    I wasn't sure what is the right way to go about this - I know how to set up a validating parser with my own ErrorHandler and retrieve error info for simple xml files and xml schema instances, but how do I set up the parser to validate a schema definition?
    My first idea was to validate it like I would validate any schema instance, since xsd files also have their own schema definition, but that seems kind of funny, since obviously the parser already knows what a schema definition should look like.
    Has anyone done this?
    Thanks,
    Uri.

    Try something like this??
    DocumentBuilderFactory DBF = null;
    try
    DBF = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
    catch (Exception fce)
    // Set various configuration options
    DBF.setValidating(true);

    DBF.setCoalescing(true);
    DBF.setAttribute("http://java.sun.com/xml/jaxp/properties/schemaSource", new File(Filename));
    DBF = DBF.newDocumentBuilder();
    DBF.setErrorHandler(this);
    DBF.setEntityResolver(this);

  • Can not generate one xsd file  for message type in xi

    Dear Experts.
    I am not able to generate  one XSD file from  message type from XI 3.0, When i select message type and go to XSD tab  then click on export xsd to file, it is generating two xsd files MainSchema.xsd,  Schema1.xsd  into one zip file, but i need only one xsd file to import it into MDM.
    Could you please help
    Thanks and Regards.
    Sravya.
    The following are the two files. MainSchema.xsd,  Schema1.xsd .

    Hi Harsha,
    Thanks lot for the immediate response. Appreciate it.
    Now I am able to generate the one xsd with your inputs , but i am not able to load it into mdm with out any changes in the generated XSD from Message Type. the below is only the original root tag, where modification required.
    Original  Element : MDM_CUST_MASTER_FILE_REQUEST_MT
    ==============
    <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns="urn:abc.com:MDM_Customer_Master_ECC" targetNamespace="urn:abc.com:MDM_Customer_Master_ECC">
    <xsd:element name="MDM_CUST_MASTER_FILE_REQUEST_MT" type="MDM_CUST_MASTER_FILE_REQUEST_DT" />
    etc.
    Case :.When i modify the above element as below  with out xmlns, targetNamespace
    <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
    <xsd:element name="MDM_CUST_MASTER_FILE_REQUEST_MT" type="MDM_CUST_MASTER_FILE_REQUEST_DT" />
    I can import xsd into mdm with the above modification.
    The generated XML out put File from mdm is having message type tag like below
    ?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <MDM_CUST_MASTER_FILE_REQUEST_MT>
    <CUSTOMER> </customer> ...
    note: no namespace for message type
    Result:
    1.When i send this xml file into XI it is failing in message mapping  because it doesn't have namespace attached to it and failing in message mapping.
    Finally i need your help to generate the xsd or data file like below to avoid mapping problem in xi.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <ns0:MDM_CUST_MASTER_FILE_REQUEST_MT xmlns:ns0=urn:abc.com:MDM_Customer_Master_ECC>
    Appreciate your help.
