Exporting, I only get 1.minute of video, but full lenght audio!!

I have about a 3:20 video of a Family event, that, when I export it to either iPod or QT full I get only 1:00 video and full [3:20] audio. I've tried this several ways, and if I export web, QT [ streaming] the video is great.. but I want it on my iPod... any tips??

Are you really running OS X 10.4.2? If so, ou may want to update it and update QuickTime as well.

What apps are you trying? TV out video only works with apps that support TV out. If the app does not support TV out you will still get aoudio via the component cable

I only get 52 minutes of play time from a CD that I downloaded from ITunes

The CD has a 60 minute run time but I only get 52 minutes on the CD-R that I burned from the downloaded CD.

Hi, I want to edit, or remove a small section of video, but leave the audio playing in the background. I want to just put up a picture in the same spot. But, I need the video's audio to keep playing. I videotaped someone speaking, but there is a section where there is a mistake, namely, the camera was moved. I need to keep the audio going, and figured I would just put a still image of text or picture in the section where the mistake is, that's why I need the audio to keep playing. It's too long of a section to just do a transition to cover the mistake. Can someone help me with this? I guess you could call what I want to do is cut to a still image while the audio keeps playing?

I follow all the instructions to the point. when I Publish+share to computer it creates an MPEG file, it plays the sound but no picture/video? What am I missing?

What are you using as your player? Windows 8 and 8.1 are known to have Windows Media Player MPEG2 issues. Microsoft issue. In this regard, can you download and install the VLC player and get video as well as audio playback with it?

Since you present your issue as no video, it is important to assure that you video card/graphics card (in spite of its superior attributes) has a driver version that is up to date. So, please confirm that at the web site of the manufacturer of the card.
Your GoPro video was probably AVCHD or H.264.mp4 and apparently has undergone conversion since you refer to your present source media .mp4 and .avi as "originally" GoPro recording. Please download and install the free codec utility named GSpot to confirm the video properties, specifically Video Name, Codec, and Status as well as Audio Name and Status.

Please confirm if you have video in previewing the Timeline content before export.
You say that your MPEG export (Publish+Share/Computer/MPEG has no video. However, you say that you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer. Please go to Publish+Share/Computer/QuickTime and let me know if you find QuickTime presets in the Presets list.
Please review and consider the above and then we can decide what next.

Two points to consider:
You have to remember that when you see the option to Sync only ticked songs and videos, iTunes may already have gone past that part of the Sync process. So once you change the setting to Sync only ticked songs and videos, you may need to click on the Sync button in order for a second Sync to take place. On subsequent Syncs, you will not need to do this.
You have actually un-ticked some of the songs in your library, haven't you?

Airplay mirroring between my MacBook Pro and Apple TV (1080p one) has always worked fine until now. I only sometimes get video but usually just audio. Has anyone experienced the same issue?

I have the exact same problem. The picture is very slow, incredibly pixelated... and renders my apple tv virtually useless until this problem gets resolved. I currently have an apple tv 3, ipad retina, iphone 4s, and a 2011 macbook air. I use the apple tv almost exclusively for mirrored content. And this is definitely causing quite a problem for me.
I had been able to use this for presentations as well- but until this problem gets resolved - I may have to look for a backup solution/product. And I imagine that I'm not alone in this... Please get this resolved quickly!

Burning error, can only burn 3 minutes of video on disk.

I have wasted 6 disks by now. The burning ends much earlier than normal, then got a message saying burning/? ( sorry can't remmber) error.
The disk still can be played but it contains only 2'50-3'00 of video. Tried other projects, same results.
I got this problem after burning a few photo CDs, does this matter?
Also from the very beginning of my experience with iDVD, I have been having a problem with audio encodeing, many times the programmes just stopped when encoding audio and I had to force quit. But next time it may go through without any trouble, I mean the same imovie project. Confused!

Suggest you create a disc image and then burn the DVD. File/Save as Disc Image...

This will isolate any encoding/burning issues you may encounter. Once the disc image is created, double-click the .img and burn the virtual disc that should appear on your desktop, using Toast to burn the DVD. Disk Utility to burn the .img file. Usually, you can select a burning speed in Disk Utility.
There are variations to this process based on which OS X you are using...
Open Disk Utility (in Utilities folder in Applications folder), click on the virtual disc (maybe the .img) in the left-hand window. Click the Burn icon. A new window should drop down and your SuperDrive tray will open after clicking the Burn icon. Insert a recordable DVD. (Verbatim DVD-R preferred by me.) Click the Close button. Wait. Select a burn speed. If you hold your mouse cursor over the pop-up it says: "Select a slower speed to work around burn failures," so select 4x or slower for best results. Then click the Burn button.
-->If the virtual disk selection won't allow you to click the Burn icon, use the .img file instead. This may have changed in 10.3.9 and did change in Tiger.
Also, you can use DVD Player to play the virtual disk to check your iDVD project before burning to DVD. Launch DVD Player. File/Open VIDEO_TS (Open DVD Media... in Player 4.6). Find the VIDEO_TS folder and open that. (The audio folder is for DVD-Audio disks.)

I only get sound ....but no video

I have just a apple tv for my birthday.Anytime I try to watch a video from my ipad2, I get good sound but no video(picture).

Websites and third party Apps need enabling before they will allow AirPlay of Video content. Some Website/App developers have not enabled their products, some simply haven't got around to it yet, others have stated that they won't be enabling AirPlay (likely as a result of licensing issues).

Inbox is the only folder that has been available for a number of weeks. Then, 30 minutes ago when I started the computer, there they were, all back: sent, drafts, my local folders, etc. Before we knew it, inbox became the only visual folder again. This has never happened to us before.

You should ask your relative to physically take the iPhone to the store rather than shipping it because as diesel vdub has said:
"No Apple store will accept an iPhone shipped to them"
All you have to do is safely pack and ship your iPhone from the Philppines to your California-based relative.

Imported videos skip during last five minutes of video but audio is fine

I've imported some videos i've downloaded from youtube to my 160GB ipod classic, all is fine after ipod sync. The problem arises when watching the video on my ipod, I get to the last 5 minutes of the video and it begins to play like its fast forwading and skipping parts, but I can still hear the audio perfectly fine. Videos play fine when watching them in my itunes library, so I know the video files are fine. they're MP4 format. Anything im doing wrong? Am vey confused why this is happing, any help would be much appreciated!

IPod to home theater- have video but absolutely NO AUDIO!!!

I just bought a 30GB iPod for Christmas as well as the DLO HomeDock Deluxe. I connected everything perfectly fine: S-Video to the TV, Red (R), White (L) RCA cables to the stereo receiver. The video is working but I cannot get audio at all. No music, no sound when the videos play. Can anyone help?

OK first question is, do the videos play with sound if you don't use the dock? In other words, if you play them on your iPod and listen to them with the earbuds, is everything ok? How about from iTunes on your computer?
Where are the videos from? iTunes music store?

Replacing part of video but keeping original audio

I have a clip whose audio I want to use but I need to replace the video--what is the best way to do this?
I deleted the video track so now I basically have a blank space to fill in. Do I just need to find another part of my shot that is the same duration & drop it in, or is there a better approach?

That will do the trick.
Switch Linking off and adjust the Track Destinations accordingly if you have trouble dropping in only the video.
FCE is non-destructive so your origianl captue stays in tact.
