hi
r u releasing the web service for FMs
here r the steps.
To release FMs as webservice it should be RFC enabled.
then goto SE80 and search for the FM u want to release web service.
then right click on the FM
then Create->web service
then give the web service name then continue.
click on chk box for relase run time.
then assign one request and package
now goto WSADMIN tcode ahere u can see ur webservice and then use that.

  • Launch DS in compact fieldpoint

    Hi,
    I have two simple VIs that uses datasocket, Write DS.vi and Read DS.vi.
    I'm using the function  Launch DS Server if Local URL.
    In my computer works ok, but when I execute my VI in a compact FIeldPoint (cFP-2020), DS server don't works. It appears the messsage "Launching the DataSocket Server is currently not supported on non-windows platforms. Please try connecting to a DataSocket Server running on windows." (application TargetOS is FALSE).
    Are there any solution?
    Thank you.

    Look for "Publish.vi" in the FP palettes.
    That VI and its associates will deploy a DS Server and allow you to read and write from same on a FP unit.

  • Retain variable values across web templates during a web session

    Hi all,
    How can we let web template get variable values from another template's variable values so as to keep the same entry values as previous report run?
    For example 0vendor has a variable (for single, mandory) used in all  vendor related web templates. "vendor1" was entered for the second template.
    I tried to use "SET/GET PARAMETER" in variable user exit. It works in BI with RSRT,  but it doesn't work with Bex or Web template. Looks like web session is not sync with the ABAP stack.
    How about using cookie? How to create/reset cookie in variable user exit? Can we get variable values from web server memory or user session data?
    Please share your thought !
    Thanks for helping!
    David

    Hi Arun,
    All the web templates are randomly run by user, there are no set of templates run after one template. Any templates can run after any other web template.
    Basically we link  web templates with portal menu items. any report can be run by any sequence. The thing the new report need to take the previous selection values from common variables.

  • How to expose a web server?

    I have an Ubuntu server connected to my AirPort Extreme via an ethernet cable, and would like to expose the web server to the outside world. I've read some threads indicating I need to expose port 80, which makes sense, but I didn't see how to limit this to a specific computer.
    The current IP for the server is 10.0.1.5, but this would most likely change if I rebooted the AirPort--I'm gussing this would be dependant upon the number of devices which attach to the AirPort prior to the server.
    Could someone please advise me as to how to go about exposing this web server to the oustide world? Also, any thoughts on how to set a specific IP on this machine would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Rob

    Great! To get port mapping configured will take two basic steps:
    Assign the web server with a Private static IP address, and
    Configure the AEBSn for port mapping.
    The first step actually has two options: 1) Assign the static IP address on the device outside of the DHCP range of the AEBSn, or 2) Use the AEBSn's DHCP Reservation feature to assign a "static" IP address from the DHCP pool of addresses. I will assume that you will want to go with the second option.
    Here are the basic steps involved:
    To setup port mapping on an 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn), either connect to the AEBSn's wireless network or temporarily connect directly, using an Ethernet cable, to one of the LAN port of the AEBSn, and then use the AirPort Utility, in Manual Setup, to make these settings:
    1. Reserve a DHCP-provided IP address for the host device.
    AirPort Utility > Select the AEBSn > Manual Setup > Internet > DHCP tab
    On the DHCP tab, click the "+" (Add) button to enter DHCP Reservations.
    Description: <enter the desired description of the host device>
    Reserve address by: MAC Address
    Click Continue.
    MAC Address: <enter the MAC hardware address of the web serverr>
    IPv4 Address: <enter the desired IP address>
    Click Done.
    2. Setup Port Mapping on the AEBSn.
    AirPort Utility > Select the AEBSn > Manual Setup >Advanced > Port Mapping tab
    Click the "+" (Add) button
    Service: <choose the appropriate service from the Service pop-up menu or leave the default>
    Public UDP Port(s): <leave blank>
    Public TCP Port(s): 8888
    Private IP Address: <enter the IP address of the web server that you created in the first step>
    Private UDP Port(s): <leave blank>
    Private TCP Port(s): 8888
    Click "Continue"

  • Compact web-server which does not require installation

    Hello,
    My application is written in Flash and I'm looking for a compact web-server for Mac OS 10.5+, which would be able to run it from a CD without any installation to user's computer.
    Does anyone know a solution?
    Free software is preferred. Crossplatform: Macintosh + Windows would be the best.
    Thank you.
    Best regards,
    Vadim Lazuko

    I haven't found how Mongrel could be run without installation on target computer.
    Could you, please, point me the solution for that?

    It usually takes about 24 hours to get there. It is easily reproducible. "Kill -3" is not leaving a javacore for some reason.
    The applications are mostly jsp, and are all over the board. There is a lot of XML parsing, some db connections, and all sorts of other home grown things. However, if the jsp applications were leaking would that not be in the heap?
    How would I hunt down these allocations?

  • Compact FieldPoint and Shared Variables

    Hi Real-Time community,
    let me first to describe my problem: I have a project running perfectly on Windows XP machine. The Real-Time Target (compact FieldPoint) is acquiring a data from different sensors and sends them via Shared Variables to the host machine (WinXP). Now this host application has to migrate to Windows 7 machine, which second Ethernet port is also connected to the compact FieldPoint's network. I have created an installer, it run on Win 7 computer but I I see no data there. Shared Variables are standart network-published. What else I need to configure to get Shared Variables visible over there? Thank you in advance for any helpful hint.

    Hi,
    we do have the full edition of Signal Express, this is not the problem. We are already logging the information comming from our cFP-1808 : TC-120 and AI-111 module. The problem is that the AI-111 module is a 4 to 20mA module, and we have thermocouple connect to it. We want to read temperature in Signal Express instead of mA.
    There's a option in MAX where you can add scaling to a cFP module. This scaling work in MAX, in the OPC server of the cFP, but not in Signal Express. In Signal Express, you still read the mA value.
    I know we can add a formula in Signal Express, but we don't want to do that, when there is an other option in MAX.
    Thanks

  • Internet connection of Compact Fieldpoint controller

    Hi all, I have this Compact Fieldpoint controller of cFP-2120, I need to make it stand-alone & also to be able to get my data directly from internet. Is there anyone who know's how to do it? Thanks=) For the controller's mannual I came across this sentence of "In order to configure the cFP-21xx, it must reside on the same subnet as the host PC. If you want to use the FP-21xx on a subnet other than the one the host PC is on, first connect and configure it on the same subnet as the host PC, then reassign a static IP address for the subnet where you want it to be
    and physically move it to the other subnet." Do you all know what does it mean? Is this feature for stnad-alone or for internet connection?=)

    Hi!
       You seem a little confused about networks, am I right?
       The thing is that to configure your cFP, it must reside on the same subnet as your PC.  I make an example: you can assign your PC a static IP address, example 192.168.168.1, subnet mask 255.255.255.0, then your cFP-2120 will have to be inside this subnet, that is 192.168.168.2 to 192.168.168.254.   If you connect your PC to cFP-2120 through a cross ethernet cable, you can set your PC IP address to 192.168.168.1 and cFP-2120 to 192.168.168.2.   With this gear, you configure, program, and test your cFP application.
       If I understood your needs, you need to place the cFP-2120 remotely, and collect data over Internet, isn't that?  If so, one way for doing this is activating a web server on the cFP-2120, for which you can find examples.
       The next step is to be able to view your cFP-2120 remotely, because of course you can't keep IP addresses you used for configuring cFP-2120.  When placed remotely, cFP-2120 will reside on a different LAN, I suppose, and you need to access it from your PC.  Unfortunately, I have no experience on this, but I think that once you configure cFP-2120, create application, create the web server, then you can turn to remoting cFP-2120.
       Some useful application notes are here, in particular take a look at links at the bottom of the page.
      Hope this helps!

  • Write JPEG file error on Compact FieldPoint

    Hello!
    I'm using Compact FieldPoint 2120 and LabVIEW 8.2. I'm trying to capture an image of a front panel and to save it into Compact FieldPoint using the "Write JPEG file". Unfortunately, it gives the error 1.
    I indicated c:\<jpeg_file_name.jpg> for the path.
    I switched the target to "My computer" and the code works correctly.
    Is that a problem of the path or VI Write JPEG file cannot be impemented on Real-Time target, such as Compact FieldPoint?
    Thank you!

    Well, that's true that Real-Time does not support Write JPEG file (this is the first problem). I'm using now Write BMP file insteed. The second problem, verified also in my practice, is that the Front Panel does not exist too on Compact FieldPoint.
    My aim is to develop web-interface to deal with the Compact FieldPoint from any computer. That is true that it has its own built-in Web-Server, but it doesn't have a script-executive environement. My idea was to create a custom "web" server running in parallel with the principal Web-Server to execute VI scripts.
    For that purpose I used TCP Listen -> TCP Read -> TCP Write runing on the port 82. I can send from any browser the request http://<IP address>/<script.vi>?<params> and my custom server parses the request and executes the <script.vi>. Then to avoid the problems with HTTP protocol I write the redirecting request to the port 82 like <meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="0; URL=<result_page.html">. So, It works.
    The result_page.html must represent the acquired data from the Compact FieldPoint channels. So, I execute a requested script to show the specified data into Graph waveform and then to take a snapshot and to save to the Compact FieldPoint. Then the result_page.html contains the link to the saved snapshot picture.
    Once executing the requested VI script, the Invoke Node gives the error 1003 stating that "the VI is broken etc...". I think that is because of the script attempts to take a snapshot of a panel which doesn't exist...
    Maybe somebody has an idea how to view the acquired data in browser ?

  • How do I use Sun Web Server 7.0u1 reverse proxy to change public URLs?

    Some of our installations use the Sun Web Server 7.0 (update 1, usually)
    for hosting some of the public resource and reverse-proxying other parts
    of the URI namespace from other backend servers (content, application
    and other types of servers).
    So far every type of backend server served a unique part of the namespace
    and there was no collision of names, and the backend resources were
    published in a one-to-one manner. That is, a backend resource like, say,
    http://appserver:8080/content/page.html would be published in the internet
    as http://www.publicsite.com/content/page.html
    I was recently asked to research whether we can rename some parts of
    the public URI namespace, to publish some or all resources as, say,
    http://www.publicsite.com/data/page.html while using the same backend
    resources.
    Another quest, possibly related in solution, was to make a tidy url for the
    first page the user opens of the site. That is, in the current solution when
    a visitor types the url "www.publicsite.com" in his or her browser, our web
    server returns an HTTP-302 redirect to the actual first page URL, so the
    browser sends a second request (and changes the URL in its location bar).
    One customer said that it is not "tidy". They don't want the URL to change
    right upon first rendering the page. They want the root page to be rendered
    instantly i the first HTTP request.
    So far I found that I can't solve these problems. I believe these problems
    share a solution because it relies on ability to control the actual URI strings
    requested by Sun Web Server from backend servers.
    Some details follow, now:
    It seems that the reverse proxy (Service fn="service-passthrough") takes
    only the $uri value which was originally requested by the browser. I didn't
    yet manage to override this value while processing a request, not even if
    I "restart" a request. Turning the error log up to "finest" I see that even
    when making the "service-passthrough" operation, the Sun Web Server
    still remembers that the request was for "/test" (in my test case below);
    it does indeed ask the backend server for an URI "/test" and that fails.
    [04/Mar/2009:21:45:34] finest (25095) www.publicsite.com: for host xx.xx.xx.83
    trying to GET /content/MainPage.html while trying to GET /test, func_exec reports:
    fn="service-passthrough" rewrite-host="true" rewrite-location="true"
    servers="http://10.16.2.127:8080" Directive="Service" DaemonPool="2b1348"
    returned 0 (REQ_PROCEED)My obj.conf file currently has simple clauses like this:
    # this causes /content/* to be taken from another (backend) server
    NameTrans fn="assign-name" from="/content" name="content-test" nostat="/content"
    # this causes requests to site root to be HTTP-redirected to a certain page URI
    <If $uri =~ '^/$'>
        NameTrans fn="redirect"
            url="http://www.publicsite.com/content/MainPage.html"
    </If>
    <Object name="content-test">
    ### This maps http://public/content/* to http://10.16.2.127:8080/content/*
    ### Somehow the desired solution should instead map http://public/data/* to http://10.16.2.127:8080/content/*
        Service fn="service-passthrough" rewrite-host="true" rewrite-location="true" servers="http://10.16.2.127:8080"
        Service fn="set-variable" set-srvhdrs="host=www.publicsite.com:80"
    </Object>
    I have also tried "restart"ing the request like this:
        NameTrans fn="restart" uri="/data"or desperately trying to set the new request uri like this:
        Service fn="set-variable"  uri="/magnoliaPublic/Main.html"Thanks for any ideas (including a statement whether this can be done at all
    in some version of Sun Web Server 7.0 or its opensourced siblings) ;)
    //Jim

    Some of our installations use the Sun Web Server 7.0 (update 1, usually)please plan on installing the latest service pack - 7.0 Update 4. these updates addresses potentially critical bug fixes.
    I was recently asked to research whether we can rename some parts of
    the public URI namespace, to publish some or all resources as, say,
    http://www.publicsite.com/data/page.html while using the same backend
    resources.> now, if all the resources are under say /data, then how will you know which pages need to be sent to which back end resources. i guess, you probably meant to check for /data/page.html should go to <back-end>/content/page.html
    yes, you could do something like
    - edit your corresponding obj.conf (<hostname>-obj.conf or obj.conf depending on your configuration)
    <Object name=¨default¨>
    <If $uri = ¨/page/¨>
    #move this nametrans SAF (for map directive - which is for reverse proxy within <if> clause)
    NameTrans.. fn=map
    </If
    </Object>
    and you could do https-<hostname>/bin/reconfig (dynamic reconfiguration) to check out if this is what you wanted. also, you might want to move config/server.xml <log-level> to finest and do your configuration . this way, you would get enough information on what is going on within your server logs.
    finally,when you are satisfied, you might have to run the following command to make your manual change into admin config repository.
    <install-root>/bin/wadm pull-config user=admin config=<hostname> <hostname>
    <install-root>/bin/wadm deploy-config --user=admin <hostname>
    you might want to check out this for more info on how you could use <if> else condition to handle your requirement.
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-6599/gdaer?a=view
    finally, you might want to refer to this doc - which explains on ws7 request processing overview. this should provide you with some pointers as to what these different directives mean
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-6599/gbysz?a=view
    >
    One customer said that it is not "tidy". They don't want the URL to change
    right upon first rendering the page. They want the root page to be rendered
    instantly i the first HTTP request.
    please check out the rewrite / restart SAF. this should help you.
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-6599/gdada?a=view
    pl. understand that - like with more web servers - ordering of directives is very important within obj.conf. so, you might want to make sure that you verify the obj.conf directive ordering is what you want it to do..
    It seems that the reverse proxy (Service fn="service-passthrough") takes
    only the $uri value which was originally requested by the browser. I didn't
    yet manage to override this value while processing a request, not even if
    I "restart" a request. Turning the error log up to "finest" I see that even
    when making the "service-passthrough" operation, the Sun Web Server
    still remembers that the request was for "/test" (in my test case below);
    it does indeed ask the backend server for an URI "/test" and that fails.
    now, you are in the totally wrong direction. web server 7 includes a highly integrated reverse proxy solution compared to 6.1. unlike 6.1, you don´t have to download a separate plugin . however, you will need to manually migrate your 6.1 based reverse proxy settings into 7.0. please check out this blog link on how to set up a reverse proxy
    http://blogs.sun.com/amit/entry/setting_up_a_reverse_proxy
    feel free to post to us if you need any futher help
    you are probably better off - starting fresh
    - install ws7u4
    - use gui or CLI to create a reverse proxy and map one on one - say content
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-6601/create-reverse-proxy-1?a=view
    if you don´t plan on using ws7 integrated web container (ability to process jsp/servlet), then you could disable java support as well. this should reduce your server memory footprint
    <install-root>/bin/wadm disable-java user=admin config=<hostname>
    <install-root>/bin/wadm create-reverse-proxy user=admin uri-prefix=/content server=<http://your back end server/ config=<hostname> --vs=<hostname>
    <install-root>/bin/wadm deploy-config --user=admin <hostname>
    now, you can check out the regular express processing and <if> syntax from our docs and try it out within <https-<hostname>/config/<hostname>-obj.conf> file and restart the server. pl. note that once you disable java, ws7 admin server creates <vs>-obj.conf and you need to edit this file and not default obj.conf for your changes to be read by server.
    >
    I have also tried "restart"ing the request like this:
    NameTrans fn="restart" uri="/data"
    ordering is very important here... you need to do this some thing like
    <Object name=default>
    <If not $restarted>
    NameTrans fn=restart uri from=/¨ uri=/foo.
    </If>

  • Setting Up a Java Web Server on Linux

    Greetings,
    After a lot of reading, I've decided to learn Java server-side technologies (I already know Java (desktop)
    but with little experience) in order to develop my database driven dynamic website projects.
    However, I'm completed lost between the hundreds of acronyms related to Java and the "thousands" of technologies involved.
    Google hadn't help me understand what they really are and how they relate with each other.
    Even though is easy to find what they stand for and some faqs/descriptions, it hasn't been enought to clear my mind.
    I want my webserver application to do, among other things, the following:
    Retrieve Data from a database, do generate dynamic html files.
    Story Data on the database, from html forms.
    Send automaticly emails for multiple users. (newsletter for example)
    E-Commerce.
    Html graber/parser (I don't know if this is the right word, I mean a program that for example, goes to a URL with an html
    table, and stores that information in a database table, as long as the format didn't change).
    Real Time Chat feature.
    Database connection pooling, caching, and other important optimizations.
    I'm not asking for how to develop or configure this features nor what components and programs, must be installed.
    At the moment, I only want to know how to set up a Java solution that will support them when they are needed.
    *** Linux ***
    I want to set up my webserver on a linux distribution.
    In that respect, I don't know if I should choose RedHat or Fedora Core.
    I've heard that fedora is better for a webserver (having in mind that Red Hat Enterprise AS/ES aren't free).
    But I've read in several sun turorials/webpages references to RedHat (on a J2EE context).
    So I'm wondering if is better to go for Fedora or RedHat. Are there pros & cons? They equally support Java?
    *** Technologies ***
    Then in starts the acronyms problem.
    What do I need to install, in what order, for what?
    Some aconyms and technologies, I have read about but don't fully understand are the following:
    Apache
    J2EE
    J2EE 1.4 SDK
    SUN Java System Application Server Platform Edition 8
    J2SE 1.4.2 SDK
    SUN Java Enterprise System
    Tomcat
    Struts
    Cocoon
    JBoss
    I already know J2EE is only a specification. What implements that specification? Sun Java System Application Server?
    J2SE SDK? or Tomcat?
    What is the role of each technology, namely Apache, Tomcat, Sun Application Server?
    What is the Sun Java Enterprise System?
    How do Struts, Cocoon, JBoss relate to Java?
    Which of these technologies are mutually exclusive (analogous)?
    *** Doubts ***
    Then, I have some doubts that are keeping me from starting to study seriously the important techonologies, because I don't
    want to lose lot's of time and effort learning them to after a dillusion start everything again with PHP (the language
    which make me think and read a lot before going for Java). To keep this from happening, I would like to know the following:
    I want to use Java for developing websites with commercial/profitable use for my company, in some throught e-commerce,
    and in other by banners. I want to do everything by the book, with required licenses.
    ------ Java is Free?
    Is Java Completely Free or it might be possible that at a certain point, when I need some component or library,
    multi-machine webserver, performance or security for high-traffic I will see "buy now" instead of "download now"?
    For what they may "ask for money"? and what are the disavantages if I can't buy?
    For example, "Java System Application Server Standard Edition 8.1 2005Q1" and
    "Java System Application Server Enterprise Edition 8.1 2005Q1" cost $2.000 and $10.000 respectively. That is money.
    (http://www.sun.com/software/products/appsrvr/index.xml). What are the disavantages if stick to the free edition?
    Features like (from sun site)
    Standard Edition:
    Extends the capabilities of the Platform Edition to provide secure, remote, multi-instance, multi-machine management.
    It is aimed at high-volume applications and Web services.
    Enterprise Edition:
    Further extends the capabilities of the Standard Edition to provide continuous availablity for applications and
    Web services. It is aimed at business critical, high value applications and Web services.
    Suppose I achive lots of traffic and I keep the free platform edition.
    I won't be able to have a multi-machine webserver set up correctly?
    What are the drawbacks? How big are the performance penalties?
    ------ Technologies Availability
    Finnaly, I have the idea (I don't know if it's accurate) that there are Sun versions and Open-Source Free versions
    of doing or supporting the same Java related thing.
    Despite the way I choose to set up a Java webserver, I will always have all J2EE techonolies like:
    Java API for XML-Based RPC (JAX-RPC), JavaServer Pages, Java Servlets, Enterprise JavaBeans components,
    J2EE Connector Architecture, J2EE Management Model, J2EE Deployment API, Java Management Extensions (JMX),
    J2EE Authorization Contract for Containers, Java API for XML Registries (JAXR), Java Message Service (JMS),
    Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI), Java Transaction API (JTA), CORBA, and JDBC data access API.
    I really appreciate some help. I could learn the basics of all this "stuff" before asking. But the point why I'm asking
    is precisely not starting to learn something I may won't use. Obviously, I will have to make a lot of reading during maybe
    months before writing the first line of code of my projects, but being certain that it will fit my needs.
    I will be very thankful if you can enlightme in my fedora/redhat, setup, free/cost and technologies avaibility issues.
    Thanks Beforehand,
    Pedro Vaz

    Apache is a free Web-server.
    Tomcat is a servlet (and JSP) container. It can be stand-alone or can be used together with a Web server (like Apache).
    J2EE's scope is much wider than the servlet stuff, but a standalone Tomcat is a good starting point to servlets and JSP.
    One of our "real-world" applications is run by a standalone Tomcat using POI and Velocity. I did not regret this architectural decision.

    It looks like you may have extracted the files to C:\sp2013. Can you try installing from a mounted ISO instead? Can you also validate that this is Server 2012 and not 2012 R2?

  • Prerequisiteinstaller.exe error - unable to install Application Server Role, Web Server (IIS) Role

    Windows Server 2012 R2 running on Hyper-V VM.  File services, App server & IIS roles installed
    SQL Server 2012 installed
    Tried:
    kb 2765260 method 1 which is kb 2771431 which ends with "not applicable to computer"
    kb 2765260 method 2 with no effect (this was power shell commands for PC's connected to the internet)
    One post suggested "aspnet_regii - enable -i" but my OS doesn't have aspnet_regii on it (not sure what that implies)
    One post suggested ServerManagerCmd.exe needed to be installed which sounds true as shown below (but where do I find this exe?)
    There are some errors in the log file,  I only included the portions where the errors are listed.  The initial lines are at the top of the log file, then I skipped to the section where the other errors were.  I can include the whole log if
    it becomes necessary.

    9:47:17 Cannot retry
    I'm presuming the first 2 errors are OK and just indicate optional startup modes for prerequisiteinstaller.exe
    The 2nd set of errors seems more serious.  I don't see ServerManagerCmd.exe on my PC that's listed in the error
    I don't understand the last error which I'm supposing triggered the listed error even though there are other errors in the log.
    Many of the existing posts don't match the configuration I'm using, and the ones that do match didn't seem to provide a usable answer.  Any help is appreciated.  Do these problems exist using Sever 2012 Standard?  I will try that, but would
    like to resolve the issue here with R2.
    Thanks.
    Best Regards,
    Alan

    ServerManagerCMD.exe is a deprecated utility and (as far as I know) is only found on Server 2008 versions, so I'm surprised it's needed for the preinstaller.  Are you trying to install SharePoint 2010?
    Running this page through Google Translate should give you an clearer idea on getting this installed.

    Hi,
    I've tried to install web server 7.0U3 on Debian etch 64 today and ran into the same problem. The solution to that problem was to install those packages: ia32-libs libstdc++5 as discribed here in one of the comments -> http://blogs.sun.com/kkranz/entry/installing_sun_java_system_web

    You can use cos.jar provided by O'Reilly from http://www.servlets.com/cos/. Take a look at com.oreilly.servlet.multipart.* classes.
    Package is provided with source, classes, documentation and, of course, ready-to-use jar file.
    It is really usefull and - ready!
