Hi
MK01 can be used for maintaining the vendor details at the purchasing org level & for general data
FK01 can be used for maintaining the vendor details at the company code level & for general data.
XK01 can be used for maintaining the vendor details at the company code , purchasing org level and general data
if wnat extend vendor at company code level, then use t-code xk01 or fk01

  • XK99 detailed steps to extend vendors from one company code to other

Company code X having vendors 9000000000 to 9999999999. Now I wanted to extend all vendors to Y company code. Kindly suggest me detailed steps. i know XK99 but give steps.

    Hi,
Using XK99 T.code you can extend vendors from one comp code to another.
    1. In XK99 slect the LFB1 - Company code dat ,and press F8.( Do not select the fields like MM17).
    2. Their will be 2 tab. select the check for DO not change for existing data.
    3. In other tab (data to be created)...give the list of vendors or Balck and the TO comp code.
    4. Bottem of this tab you have to mention the FROM company code.
    5. Press F8.
    6. Now save.
With the same method you can extend vendors from one Pur org. to another pur org. by selecting LFM1 instead of LFB1.
Let me know if still need any further info.
    Hope this will help you..

  • Vendor if not maintained at the company code level

    Hi,
System should not save the PO, if the vendor has not maintained at the company code level. How to achieve this?
    Regards,
    Sattuj

    > System should not save the PO, if the vendor has not maintained at the company code level. How to achieve this?
Vendor Need not to be Maintained at Company Code Level For Creating Purchase Order.
During IR only System will Look whether Vendor is Maintained at Company code Level.
Try the User Exit MM06E010 Field selection for vendor address and Check any Possibility is there.
What you can do is you Can Restrict Users to Use MK01. And give Authorization to Limited Users for XK01.

  • Central Purchase Org and Multiple co codes

    Hello everyone,
We are working in SRM 5.0 classic deployment and PDP scenario. We have an issue. We have central purchase org and multiple co codes. So one purchase org will be responsible for all the co codes. In the backend system, pur org is not assigned to any co code since it is a central pur org. Now in SRM , we created a root org, under the root org we created different companies and at the same level i.e under root- purchase org is created and then purchsae groups. In attribute BUK of purchase org, all co codes are assigned. When we check BBP_ATTR_CHECK for this purchase org, we get an error- "company cannot be determined. So we'll not be able to shop. Please let me know if anyone has ever worked on this scenario and whatz the solution? Suitable points will be awarded for the useful answers. Thanks in advance.

I would not suggest this as an approach. First question is what kind of accounting reports do they need on plant level? Is it AR/AP items per plant or complete set of financial reports include BS and P&L statement.
WERKS field exists in BSEG, so I guess some report can be generated to represent open items on this level.
But if you need deeper division in the company on this level, then segments or business areas should be used.

  • Valuation at plant level and company code level

    Hi,
Can someone explain me the difference between the valuation at plant level and company code level with a real world example?
    Regards,
    Malsha Kalubowila

    Hi,
Inventory can be valuated at two levels either at company code level or at plant level. If you select valuation at company code level, all materials across all the plants will have same material price since valuation is at only company code level.
Say for example Company code 1000 is buying a material which unit price is Rs. 10 from a vendor who supplies to two different plant A & B of company code 1000.  Assume Plant A is situated near vendor premises itself (so freight cost is Re 1 extra)  whereas plant B is situated at far away from vendor place (so freight cost rs 2 extra) and both cases freight cost is borne by the company and not by vendor.
Assuming you have selected valuation at plant level, now in plant A same material will be valauted at Rs. 11 (10 +1) whereas at plant B it is valuated at Rs. 12 (10+2).
Whereas if you have selected valuation at company code level, price will not be valuated at plant level rather at company code level which will get updated at moving average price in this case.
So it is always best practice to select valuation at plant level rather than at company code level.

  • How identify the data is client level, plant level or company code level

    Dear sirs,
    GM
How identify the data is client level, plant level or company code level?
If there is any T.code for same in SAP plz send me otherwise any procedure?
    Hopeeeeeeeeee....

    Hi,
Once you gain experience, you will not look at any table any field or any view...You will do it just like how you use keyboard once you pass type writing....
That is why every area of work, including master data is handed over to specialized teams...that will be their work day in and out....for some one newly entering, it will be little bit tough...once you practice, you will not be worried any more.  Of course, basic data at client level, purchasing data plant level etc...some thumb rules are there...still, you will take big blow by following such thumb rules because if you verify storage condition assigned in the storage location is not storage location level!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that is experience!!  In this forum, it is good to practice rewarding...else, there may not be any more replies
    Good Luck

  • Cost Centre creat at Controlling Areal level or Company code level???

    Hi,
    I have a doubt,
    1. Cost center is created at controlling area level or company code level.
    2. Is it possible to create at company code level.
    Please update me.
We have company code field in cost center master.
If we update this field, can we use same cost center for another company code also???
    Thanks
    Partha

    Hi Joshi,
    Thanks for your inputs.
We create cost center in CO under controlling area. [In cost center master there is one filed company, its not mandatory.]
Question is - If multiple company codes assigned to one Controlling Area, in this case -
Is it possible to utilize same controlling are for multiple company codes.
You tell me if possible, how it is possible?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Client Level
The client is the highest level in the SAP System hierarchy. Data stored at client level can be accessed by all company code in the system.
    Company Code Level
The company code is the central organizational unit of external accounting within the SAP System. Data stored or created at company code level can be used with in company code.
    Customer Master Data
Customer Master data is divided into three parts:-
    Client Level
    Company Code Level
    Sales Area Level
    For Example:-
Customer Master created at client level like address data can be used by all company code. If customer A master data has been maintained at client level than company code ABCD and company code EFGH can extent customer at company code level and use customer for FI posting. Again if you want to use customer for SD than you need to extent it in SD area.
So, you can say that Master record created at client level can be used by all company code across the system.

  • Extend vendor to P. Org other than the backend P. Org while replicating

    Hi Experts
    I have a peculiar requirement.
I have to replicate vendors from backend using BBPGETVD. In my backend there is only 1 P. org.
I was earlier using the BAdi BBP_TRANSDATA_PREP for replicating certain vendors based a particular logic.
Now my functional has asked me to extend these vendors to a second(can be more) P. org from a ZTABLE.
When I tried adding the second P.org in table CT_LFM1 of the BAdi I faced this issue:
After the BAdi is finished I'm taken to FM BBP_VENDOR_GET_NON_BAPI. In this FM the entries of CT_LFM1 are verified from an internal table which contains the P.org of backend(populated using FM BBP_OM_FIND_PURCH_ORGS_EXT). So the entry that I have added in the BAdi is rejected.
I couldn't find any enhancement points in this FM.
Is there any other way by which I can modify this internal table?
Please help me out. I have to complete this requirement as soon as possible.
    Points will be rewarded.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Go to the web in SRM and add the other P. Org data which is not present in backend manually.
You can do this by going to Change business partner data for vendor (Process Vendor or Bidder)
    Thanks,
    Prashanth

  • EDI 850: one vendor, multiple purchasing orgs

We have sussessfully implemented EDI 850 (purchase order) interface by using PO output, IDoc ORDERS05 and ABAP-PI port with a custom function module, which writes the IDoc data into a file and sends it to a third-party software (Gentran).
Now the problem is that we have 2 purchasing organizations (EKORG) and for each organization we need to create a separate file and send it to a different FTP server. Unfortunately, EKORG is not included anywhere in the IDoc control record (EDI partner profile is set up by vendor), only in the IDoc segments.
Has anyone had the same issue and what would you recommend?

    Hi Jelena,
    Welcome to SDN.
Are you using process code ME10 (FM IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDERS)?
If you are then there is user exits EXIT_SAPLEINM_001 that can be used to add additional information to IDoc control record.
For example you can use EDIDC-MESCOD and/or EDIDC-MESFCT to populate the mapping for your purchasing organization (EKORG).
You can code something like this inside user exits.
    IF EKKO-EKORG = '0001'
      CONTROL_RECORD_OUT-MESCOD = '1'.
    ELSEIF EKKO-EKORG = '0002'.
      CONTROL_RECORD_OUT-MESCOD = '2'.
    ELSE.
    ENDIF.
then you can use CONTROL_RECORD_OUT-MESCOD to distinguish/map purchase organization into EDI850 in the middleware system (Gentran).
    Hope this will help.

  • Procurement  through Purchasing Orgs in different company codes

    Dear SRM Experts,
System Info SRM 5.0 and ECC 6.0
This situation applies to a multinational company with a different company code for each country. And there is one purchasing organization per company code.
We need to configure a scenario in SRM 5.0, where the user in one purchasing organization should be able to procure from another purchasing organization within a different company code.
Please let me know what configuration needs to be done to accomplish this scenario.

  • Extending 200 GLs from COA to company code level at one go

    Hello All,
Wanted to know if there is any way of extending a list of GLs from COA level to company code level at one go?
I had copied about 300 GLs at COA level using OBA7 and now want to extend about 200 of them to a company code. Is there any transaction code with which I can copy/extend all these 200 GLs to the company code?
    jw

thanks Murali_Babu. N for your reply. I vaguely remember reading somewhere that you can use OBY7 to copy GLs from an existing COA to a new COA and then extend the required GLs from the new COA to a company code. I did the first step using OBY7 but then forgot what is to be done next. Thanks to you both, now I know we can do it with LSMW and also  BDC but wanted to know if there is any way by which I can continue with OBY7 and any other tcode.
    thanks.

  • Extend vendors to a new company code

    Hi,
We are creating a new company code and I want  to know whether there is any standard transcation code to  mass create the vendors master from  the existing company code to the new company code without any BDC or LSMW.
    Thanks,
    SS

    Hi,
Go to transaction XK99. Here you can extend vendors from one company code to another with below steps:-
    5. Press F8 and save.
With the same method you can extend vendors from one Pur org. to another pur org. by selecting LFM1 instead of LFB1.

  • Download of vendors from production

    hi all,
From production server, i have to download all the vendors having purchasing org. 4000 and eligible for withholding tax.  As it is production, im not supposed to write any ABAP program.  Please let me know whether there is any standard tcode exists for download .
    Thanks,
    Vinny

    HI Vinny
I guess you have to consider tables: LFM1 & LFBW.
Using SE16, extract vendor from LFM1 for EKORG '4000'.
Using this list of vendor, check entries in LFBW. The ouput from the table will be the list you are looking for.
Above is just an advice, please check with your consultants to confirm on the same.
    Kind Regards
