Extending Validity Period In Assigned Appraisal Documents ???

Dear Experts,
Appraisal Documents is assigned to Employee via Appcreate, where we have provided some validity period and Execution period of Documents .
Now requirement is to extend END Date of Validity and execution period .
For Ex :
Start date : 01.01.2014
End Date : 31.06.2014
Now Appraisal Period is over and appraisal document is freezed .
Is there any way We can Extend that Appraisal Period from 31.06.2014 to 31.08.2014 ???
I was trying PHAP_ADMIN_PA, where we can click on CHANGE HEADER DATES and can change Dates and other fields but that is possible before Ending of Appraisal Document .
Now I am getting Error : latest appraisal date must occur after the current date .
Is this Possible to do ?
Is there any table or configuration or enhancements where we can Extend Dates of Freezed Appraisal Documents ??
Its a needful thing to do..
Please help me out for way forward .

Hi Pran,
Yes, your request can be done by PHAP_ADMIN_PA (not by PHAP_CHANGE, as was suggested here).
The reason you got that error message is that you have tried to set the execution end-date earlier than the current date, and that makes no sense.
As you may know, the execution period determines the period in which the appraisers will be able to enter the appraisal document the perform the appraisal (edit the document). if you set it to a period in the past, what will you gain by doing it?
Just fix the execution period.

Hi Harish,
1. Validation Period refers to the period of the appraisal. For example, you may create an appraisal document for an employee for his/hers performance in the year of 2013 - in that case the validation period may be 01.01.2013 until 31.12.2013.
You may refer to the Validation Period as the BEGDA and ENDDA of the appraisal document (similar to HR Infotypes).
The execution period is the period in which the appraiser can access the document and assess the appraisee. For Example, you can determine the Execution Period as 01.09.2014 - 30.09.2014 -in that case the appraiser/s can edit the document only in these dates.
2. Validation Period is mandatory. Execution Period is optional.

No valid appraisal document found 00000429

We have Appraisal & ECM configured. Appraisal documents are also created.
In MSS when I try to do compensation planning, I get the following error - 'No valid appraisal document found 00000429'.
Can anyone help in this regard?
Is it because the various dates in ECM i.e. Key date, Effective date etc are not in sync with the Appraisal period or anything?

I am trying to do an Annual review. The status of appraisal for the selected employee was completed. I approved it and therefore the status changed to Approved. Now the earlier error i.e. - No valid appraisal document found is gone.
Instead I am getting the following errors now:
(1) Salary Adjustment (Merit) (T): Jordan Micheal does not have a salary structure acc. to basic pay record on 01/01/2010 (00000972)
(2) Salary Adjustment (Merit) (T): Error calculating compa-ratio of Jordan Micheal on 01/01/2010 (00000972)
Note:
In ECM config, we are using MBO appraisal and compa-ratio matrix.

Cost Center validity period change & Business area assignment to cost cente

We are facing with error KS134 - Transaction data already exists for the period.
We tried to create new cost center with period split. But I am getting error KS133 - Deletion is not possible (dependent records exist in table ).
Hence even creation of the new cost center is not possible. We alrady have Validity Period from 1.04.2005 to 31.12.9999.
Is there any alternative solution ?

Hi Sumeet,
The fields in Cost Center Master Data are "Time-Dependent" and you can see the Time-Dependency of each field in OKEG transaction code where you can find "Business Area" to be "Fiscal-Year" based.
So, if at all you need to change the Business Area, it would be possible in next financial year only...
And also, because, your Cost Center is defined from 01.04.2005 to 31.12.999, there is no way that you can change the validity period so as to create / extend in the same period-lap.

I have did complete IMG activity for ECM as per client specifications.
According to that I have created Budgets (by Using BSP's). Now, When I loged as MSS user and selecting the Review of mine. I am getting an error saying that "Error occurred in data reading"...
I am able to make changes by using Standard Plan "Spot Bonus". So I have made one Compensation Plan Item with Spot Bonus Review and other respective customization. Now I am able to see my Direct Reporting Employees..
But I am getting an error as "MERIT-CH (i.e., My Comp Plan) has no valid Appraisal documents.."
Any Help is Highly appreciated...

Extend Profit center validity periods

Hi All,
I have a requirement to extend the Profit centers validity period. for example I have created the Profit center with validity date from 01.01.2010 to 31.12.9999. I have loaded the data with these dates, there is no issue in this. I have new requirement to change some data from 01.07.2010 to 31.12.9999 for the same above profit center. Is there any procedure to extend the validatity dates like that. Please let me know if there is any procedure available.

I know of no other way to accomplish this than to re-execute the consolidation for the prior periods after the hierarchy has been changed.
I have used the restatement feature and like you have found it very limited.
The copy to another version would only work if you copied the existing data to the new version before re-executing the consolidation. The the version 100 can be re-consolidated for the previous periods and the existing reports do not have to be changed for a new version.
However, with the copy, it is important to set the cons group and cons unit hierarchies to be version dependent so the changes are only good for the version that is to be re-consolidated for previous periods. This allows you to report on the data before the change where the logic will read the old, unchanged version of the hierarchy.

How to set OSA appraisal template validity period ??

I am now working on OSA appraisal. When i create a appraisal template in PHAP_CATALOG, i cant specify the validity period. In the end, the validity period always sets to start date as 01/01/1900 and end date as 31/12/9999. As a result, i cant specify that in which year, which appraisal template to be used because all the templates are having the same validity period. For example, i wanna create a appraisal template from 01/01/2008 to 31/12/2010. So,how can i set the validity period to the period i want? Or is there anywhere can set the validity period ?

In the VA object, Layout tab, make sure "do not display validity period" is not checked. This should display the validity period columns, which the user's can enter.
If the column cannot be changed, then check the security authorization.
If the values are defaulted, make sure, you disable the BAdi. Also, make sure, in the processing tab,
click on the "further template behaviour" button. Make sure, there are no "default validity period" enhancement area's.

Salary Adjustment: No valid appraisal document found

Hi ,
For our ECM , We use 2 dimensional guideline(MBOA nd CRAT)
We are facing an issue of *Salary Adjustment: No valid appraisal document found * when we try to do compensation planning for employees..
Though the appraisal status is in completed status with ratings.
is it an authorisation problem?
Are we missing a link....
any inputs?

Please check the dates on which the system picks the appraisal rating.
For us , the validity dates were a mismatch. Pease ask your abaper to keep a break point in the badi HRECM00_MATRIX_SEGM-HRECM00_MATR_MBOAPPR
Check in view table V_T71ADM10, the eligibility key date.(ideally somewhere in june of the year if you are going to check for ratings for in the year)
And service seniority can be 6 months as per SENI in V_T71ADM13,
And also check your configuration in V_T71ADM14.
Have u maintained the correct template and the element IDs in the levels.

How to extend the validity period of Cost estimate

Hi Gurus,
The validity period of Standard Cost estimate is up to the end of fiscal year. how can we get the same Cost estimate from the begining of new fiscal year.
for example let Materila X, which has 550 as a Cost estimate.the validity period of this cost estimate is up to 31/03/2009. now i want same cost estimate for Material X, from 01/04/2009 on wards.
is it possible to get the same cost estimate from the 01/04/2009 or Do I need to run CK11N, CK24?

hi,
If you want to get the same cost estimate for future use. You have to create a new cost estimate using the Dates as below
Costing date from :01/04/2009
Costing date to :Any date you desire (preferably end of 2009 financial year)
Qty structure date: As of your previous cost estimate for the material X
Valuation date :As of your previous cost estimate for the material X
Using this procedure you will have the old costs ie 550 in the cost estimate but will extend the same to as long as you desire.

Let me give you one ex., Suppose you have created sec. cost Element through KA06 for validity peirod 10.02.2009 to 31.12.2009. So, when you are extending the validity period for the same, you need to create this sec. cost Element again with validity from 01.01.2010 to the date you require (say 31.12.2010 or 31.12.9999).

It is a business decision to increase the validity period of a quotation. You can very well do it by changing the date in
Valid to field in the quotation. But there are a certain things to be checked with the business people before changing the validity in real time...like ... terms and conditions, rate... etc.

How can i see the pricing procedures that are assigned to document types.
1. Is there a specific table name?
2. Is there a tcode where we assign pricing procedures to document types.
For example if there is pricing procedure "abc0000", how can i know what are the different document types that are assignes to this pricing procedure.
I would like to know the table name or transaction code.

First of all, you should know where we assign the pricing procedure. If you come to know this, you would not have opened this thread. As already suggested, you can see all pricing procedures assigned to the available combination in table T683V.
In one way, you can check this. Execute VBAK table, input all document types with some validity period where you can see the related pricing procedure. But here, if you have not created any document with a document type, then this table won't show. So you have to be sure on this.

Cost center validity change and assign it to new company code

Hello
We are having 10 Cost centers in 1000 Company code, And validity of these cost centers is .01.01.2001 to 31.12.9999.
Now business want to create one more company code 2000. and wants to extend these same cost centers to 2000 company code also. But as per SAP std Cost center extention is not possible , bcz cost center can use by only one company code.
Now Company is saying that..they wants the same number for new company code from 23.09.2010 to 31.12.9999..
system is not allow me to change validity period of these cost centers, bcz these saying that the cost center is already defined for given period.
Beacuse new company code will start working from 24.09.2010. so i,e the reason , we want to make example "2561 cost center validity 01.01.2001 to 22.09.2010 for company code 1000. then after words 23.09.2010 to 31.12.9999 the same cost center 2561 will for 2000 company code.
but system is not allowing me to change the validity

What you wish is not possible.. You will have to create new cost center and assign to the new company code...
may be for simplicity sake, you can add a prefix or suffix to the existing cost center no i.e Cost Ctr 2356 can become N2356 in new comp code
