External reporting tool (Cognos) to produce customized reports from BPM 5.7

Can I use external reporting tool (Cognos) to produce customized reports from BPM 5.7? Is it possible to query BPM DB for historical data (not BAM dashboard)?

Hi Steve,
From memory, I think you can just use ContactCallDetail and Resource. Just look for calls where originatorType = 1 (for agent) and originatorID = resourceID of the agent. So your where clause would look something like:
WHERE
originatorType = 1 AND
originatorID = resourceID of the agent AND
LEN(destinationDN) > 7
Hope that helps.
Cheers,
Nathan

  • Content Tracker Reports Query file modification issue - Custom Report

    Hi All,
    I was trying to generate a custom report using Content Tracker. I was successful in doing so. However, I found that sometimes it does not pick up the updated query file of Content Tracker reports.
    I made a change in my query:
    from SELECT * FROM Users to
    SELECT dname FROM Users
    the change is written on the file but when i generated the report from C.T. UI, it's still showing me the old results having all the columns. Tried bouncing the server as well, but no use.
    I also added a new query 24 hrs back (as SELECT count(*) As UsersNum FROM Users), it's still not recognizing it and giving error as Failure of server APACHE bridge: No backend server available for
    connection: timed out after 10 seconds or idempotent set to OFF;
    and the log says,
    Unable to execute service SCT_GET_DOCUMENT_INFO_ADMIN and function sctExecuteQuery.
    Unable to create the result set for query '(null)'. SQL statement to execute cannot be empty or null
    What could be the resolution of this issue?
    I am using UCM 11g + SSXA.

    Server bounce.
    Issue is not file update but some other issue, ongoing in another thread by Me.

  • Error creating custom reports. Permissions issue with custom reports

    I am having permission issues with reports. I am building a new Configuration Manager  2012 infrastructure and I have configured the Site server on Server1 and the DB is on Server2. Server2 also hosts the Reporting Point and SSRS roles/features. If
    I look in Monitoring at the Site Status and Component Status are all green no issues with the setup.
    Running SQL 2008 SP2 (no CUs). I have a service account that I used to install Configuration Manager and SQL. This service account is running the SQL service on Server2 and i am using the same account as the Reporting Services Point Account.
    I log into the SCCM console with a different user account, lets call it Admin1. This account is a member of the Full Administrator role. I can run any built in report.
    When I open the SSRS website and try to create a custom report I connect the DataSource using Windows Authentication. So the Datasource is connecting using the logged in users account. In this case Admin1. I test the connection and it connects fine.
    I test this query. (Select * from v_R_System) I only have about 10 workstations discovered so the report shouldn’t be very big. I get an error “The Select permission was denied on the object ‘v_R_System’, Database ‘CM_XXX’, schema ‘dbo’. (Microsoft sql server,
    Error: 229)”
    I have fixed the SELECT permission error by going into the database (using SQL Management studio) and granting Admin1 Select rights to the Configuration Manager database. I can now run the above query and make custom reports.
    My 2nd problem is that other members of the Full Administrator role cannot run these custom reports unless I go into the database and grant them the SELECT permission.
    Question:
    Should I have to manually go into the database to add SELECT permissions(i could use a group)? shouldnt Configuration Manager take care of this for me?
    Maybe the built in reports use the SQL service account rights and the custom ones do not? Am I doing something wrong with the Datasource when I create these custom reports?
    What is the correct process for creating custom reports?

    I think i am getting closer to a solution. After the Custom report is created. i can go back into the report. Delete the DataSource. Then browse for a dataSource. there is a datasource located in http://server2/reportserver/ConfigMgr_XXX/
    That datasource is used by all builtin reports. if you view the properties on the Credentials tab it is set to "do not use credentials" and the option is greyed out / cannot be changed.
    it looks like i still need the SELECT permissions on the database to create the report initially but at least i have solved the problem with viewing these reports.
    Can anyone confirm that what i did is correct?

  • No "Execute Report Immediately" check box for Custom Reports

    I need a report to be executed immediately within a homepage and due to the documentation a check box should be there when defining "My Homepage Custom Report".
    There is not!
    Can anyone be so kind and illuminate me?
    Thanks in advance

  • Custom report layout question...can't find any answers anywhere

    I am trying to build a report in Portal, using the custom report layout. The report displays like so, before I do any customization:
    COLUMN1 COLUMN2 COLUMN3
    COLUMN1 COLUMN2 COLUMN3
    COLUMN1 COLUMN2 COLUMN3
    COLUMN1 COLUMN2 COLUMN3
    where COLUMN1 is the same value, always per report; COLUMN2 and COLUMN3 vary.
    What I want is:
    COLUMN1
    COLUMN2 COLUMN3
    COLUMN2 COLUMN3
    COLUMN2 COLUMN3
    COLUMN2 COLUMN3
    In the report layout editor, Body section, this is what I see:
    <TD ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN1.FIELD#></TD>
    <TD ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN2.FIELD#></TD>
    <TD ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN3.FIELD#></TD>
    so #COLUMN1.FIELD# must be some kind of array, but I am not finding any documentation anywhere on how to reference the individual values. All I need is the very first value of the COLUMN1 variable. Once I have that value, I can put it where I need it, but I can't get at that value, just the array.
    I have searched portal center, the app server documentation, html documentation. I have googled everything I could think of, but came up with nothing. I found a similar question on this forum, but no one responded with an answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Helen,
    The best way for your case is to use a content folder and customize it whichever way you like.
    however, your question is about reports. the problem in reports is this that you have to use just one single query and the layout of the results of this query are displayed in a peculiar way.
    anyway. something similar but not exactly the same as what you wanted do is the following.
    use a query like the following: (with a union in between)
    SELECT COLUMN1,NULL , NULL ,NULL ,NULL
    FROM my_source_table
    WHERE myCriteria LIKE 'SoAndSo%'
    UNION
    SELECT NULL,COLUMN2 , COLUMN3, COLUMN4, COLUMN5
    FROM my_source_table
    WHERE myCriteria LIKE 'SoAndSo%'
    ---------- Now, have the following codes in the layout segments:
    <!--- header --->
    <table border="0" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="1" width="20%" align="center">
    <!--- body --->
    <tr align="center">
    <td><table border="0" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="0" width="30%" align="center">
    <tr align="center">
    <TH><#COLUMN1.FIELD#></TH>
    </tr>
    </table>
    </td>
    <TD class="report_cell" ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN2.FIELD#></TD>
    <TD class="report_cell" ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN3.FIELD#></TD>
    <TD class="report_cell" ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN4.FIELD#></TD>
    <TD class="report_cell" ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN5.FIELD#></TD>
    </tr>
    <!--- footer --->
    <TR><TD></TD></TR>
    this should produce a report with a table structure (you may see the whole if you give BORDER="1" in the main table tag). Within this table, the first column of the first row should be showing top-leftmost column value once (COLUMN1 value) and then the next rows would show last four column values as a table block on the right-bottom part.
    with kind regards,
    naqvi

  • Task Quantity in Custom Reports Data Package

    Task Quantity in Custom Reports Data Package
    Using the Custom Reports Data Package how can you report on task quantity?  Neither the ServiceTaskFact nor the RequisitionTaskFact tables have quantity as a query item.

    Hi David,
    Thanks for your question. The good news here is that this is a common use case and can be addressed using standard Cognos functionality. Here are some general instructions for you and others who might be reading this post with a similar need. These instructions are for Cognos Query Studio.
    Build your report and drag a column/fact that is unique to the record onto the work area – I used TaskID.
    Highlight the TaskID column.
    From the left side menu, click Edit Data

  • Error in viewing the customized reports in XL reporter

    Hi,
    I am using SAP B1 2007A. My problem is on viewing the customized reports I made through the XL reporter. I made a profit and loss report and saved it under the financials folder then financials sub folder. Before I still can view it through my SAP B1 main menu. All of a sudden, when I try to view again, I can't view any financials customized report. However, I have customized reports in other folders like the sales and purchasing and I can view them. I checked in the XL reporter itself by opening it through tools, xl reporter and I noticed that my financials folder was renamed to new folder and when I opened the financials sub folder, my customized reports were there but I can't view them in the sap main menu. I have 6 databases in my SAP and only 1 dbase has this problem. What might be the reason? Please help.
    Thanks,
    Jackilou

    Hi Jackilou,
    The problem you are facing is due to XLR error.  Just try restart you B1, it will normally be fixed by itself.  If your problem persist, log a support ticket to SAP.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

    Hi,
    In CO04n for a given order number, production plant and order type when we click from main menu mass printing->execute. We get a list of outputs together for the order number.
    Object List.
    Job Ticket
    Pick List
    Goods Issue
    Goods receipt
    Confirmation slip.
    I want to create a custom report with order number as input and according to radio button selected the layout should be displayed. Is it possible.
    I know the driver program and form name. How can I develop this custom report.

    Hi ,
    You can develop Custome Report   , but for that
    you will require  help from your Functional Team  , which will guide you thorug data selection  and processing
    i.e from which table data to be taken what to process .
      in that Report you can  display all details  which you reqired and also add one check box  in alv grid   in order to  select order no  .
      also take one button  on display Grid menu   using PF-status  .
      You have to  go through it step by step .

  • Reporting tools and SAP BW

    Dear Sirs,
    We have Business Objects BI 4.0 and SAP BW 7.3.
    Actually we are using Web Intelligence and BEx Query to reporting.
    We have not Business Layer (Universe) between BW and BO because BO it's not supported to create universe (unx) on BW. So we create document in WEBI using BEx Query.
    We want to use Xcelsius (Dashboard Design) 2011 and I was thinking that we can use query from universe to connect with BW (new functionality in version 2011). Can we? Or maybe we should to connect to BW using "Connecttion to SAP BW"?
    We want to use Explorer (on iPad and iPhone), but Explorer requires universe (unx).
    Is not possible to create universe (unx, because unv is not supported via Explorer) based on SAP BW, is it true?
    We should we do, when we want to use Explorer with SAP BW?
    Do I understand connection between reporting tools and SAP BW:
    Crystal Reports - can I use cubes or BEx queries
    Xcelsius - using "Connection to SAP BW"
    WEBI - BExqueries or universe (but only UNV - old version).
    Explorer - in my opinion is not possible
    Analysis for OLAP - drirect to cube in SAP BW
    Could you please comment.

    Hi
    With the current version of the BI 4.0 SP2 BI Platform, one cannot create a universe (.UNX format) against BW using the OLAP connection. However you can create a universe (.UNX format) using the Relational connection (see OSS note: 1656905 - How to create UNX universe based on Business Warehourse InfoCubes). One limitation is the use of hierarchies with the relational connection.
    Then you can create the Information spaces based on the universe (.UNX format) that the Explorer can use.
    BO Reporting tools:
    1. Crystal Reports for Enterprise = you can use the OLAP connection (BICS) directly against the BW InfoCubes or Queries, if queries already exist in the BW system then you can leverage these directly (less time spent recreating the entire query in Crystal)
    2. Xcelsius = you can use the BICS or Web Service or Universe to access the data
    3. Web Intelligence = you can use the OLAP Connection (BICS)
    4. Explorer = you can use a universe (.UNX format) via a Relational Connection
    5. Analysis for OLAP = you can use the OLAP connection (BICS) to either a query or InfoCube.
    It is hoped that in Feature Pack 3 which will be released later this year, that missing functionalities will be delivered for BI 4.0.
    Regards
    Derek

  • Adding a custom report to a document set

    Hi,
    We are trying to add a custom report to a document set in OM. When a sales order is released, the sequence of events to occur is - a standard pick list report runs followed by the custom report(a despatch note).
    However, I cannot associate the parameters so that the parameters that are driving the standard apps pick list report are also driving the custom report.
    Anyone tried this before?
    Thanks muchly

    Eventually I figured this out. In 54, the edit dialog for the clickstream cloud is set up in the JS at:
         /libs/cq/personalization/widgets/source/analytics.init.js
    Effectively the 'registration' of the various stores is hardcoded in this JS file, with lines like so:
         //eventinfodata
         reg.call(this, CQ_Analytics.EventDataMgr);
    So, we could overlay the entire personalization widgets clientlib, but that seems crazy just to add one line of code.
    So, what I've done is to write my own clientlib and bolded it onto the cq.personalization category (which the /libs/cq/personalization/widgets clientlib is part of). This JS sets up another listener (on the click of the edit button) which adds the additional tab to the edit dialog.
    If anybody is interested in seeing how this was done, buzz me on twitter @tomblackford

  • Regarding: Oracle Reporting tool

    hi all
    is there any reporting tool in oracle for designing reports for my application. I have already tried reports with crystal report but it is too slow.
    Thanks
    Regards
    S

    Hi,
    There are installation documents included in the APEX download itself, I really advise reading those documents since they cover everything you need to know about how to install it.
    Also, there is a huge amount of information here -
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/index.html
    including many HOWTO's, examples, whitepapers, documentation and guides that will give you information about what APEX is, how you to use it and what you can do with it.
    Note, since you're looking for a Reporting tool, APEX might not be exactly what you need, however you can easily build reports using APEX, so as I said earlier it really depends on you actual requirements.

  • Detailed Aged Customer Report

    Hi Experts,
    I would like to report in excel the same information which shows in the print preview of the Detailed Aged Debtors report...is there a way to do this at all please?
    Many thanks
    Caroline

    Hi Caroline,
    You may create a query report to match Detailed Aged Customer Report first.  If this has been done, you may include this query to Excel directly by New Database query.
    Thanks,
    Gordon
