Extproc fails to load: error in loading library libclntsh.so
Hi all.
I've configured Net8 to call external procedures. When the application
(sqlplus) makes the connection to the listener, extproc fails to load
because of:
extprocSMSC: error in loading shared libraries
libclntsh.so.1.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
The library is there (actually, there is a link libclntsh.so ->
libclntsh.so.1.0),
has the correct permissions:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 Oct 28 21:08 libclntsh.so ->
libclntsh.so.1.0
-rwxr-xr-x 1 oracle dba 4357729 Oct 16 16:05 libclntsh.so.1.0
The LD_LIBRARY_PATH contains the oracle lib directory:
:/u01/app/oracle/product/8.0.5/lib
Any idea ? Could this come from an incorrect compile/link of my dynamic
library ?
Vincent
P.S.

Issue definitely seems to be with your Oracle env setup and configuration. Having a symlink point to another symlink is not necessarily a problem.
So, just to be sure, can you confirm the 2 below:
1) You have installed the Oracle 32 bit client (full) and are using the libraries in the Client as part of the LD_LIBRARY_PATH for the OS user that is running the INFA processes. In other words your ORACLE_HOME (in .bash_profile) points to the CLIENT directory with the .so files..correct. You have confirmed this by su - as the OS user (e.g "oracle") and doing an echo on LD_LIBRARY_PATH. correct? if needed, I would even recommend using the FULL path to the 32 bit client directory.
2) You have confirmed that all .so files in the directory have permissions for the OS user that is running INFA processes. You can check this via ls -alt and confirming none of the .so files in question are restricted.
3) Also..is your OS user for the Oracle DB and INFA the same? Or do you have 2 different OS users?

Map Loader error while loading catalogue
XM 5800, latest firmware, Maps 3 installed and working OK. I get "Error while loading catalogue for Nokia 5800 XpressMusic" whenever I start Map Loader 3.
Uninstalled/reinstalled Map Loader 3 several times.
Tried suggested fixes of deleting qf and cities folder then running Maps to recreate file structure.
Tried it on a Windows 7 PC with PC Suite and also a Vista PC with Ovi Suite. Same error message.
I am left without the ability to download any maps except over the air as I go incurring data charges.
So I may as well just use Google maps!
I see in the discussion groups this issue comes up for many different Nokia phones occasionally but I have never seen a solution.
Anyone?
Solved!
Go to Solution.Just when I thought Nokia Care technical support knew what they were doing!!!!
About 4pm NZ time yesterday, after the Map Loader server had been working for about 3 to 4 hours and everything was fine. I got a call from Nokia tech support. I was on the other line so they left a message.
"Sorry, its not going to work because map loader is not completely compatible with Windows 7"
and my email support thread finally pointed me to a "Solution" discussion board entry detailing a fix for Maps 2. You had to download the latest version of Map Loader 2.02!!!!! That was really helpful considering we are on 3.03 and 3.0.28 respectively
So it all stating to work again may have just been coincidence and nothing to do with our support calls! :-<
Oh well at least its working. Now all I have to fix is the MTP USB Device driver failing.

SQL*LOADER ERROR WHILE LOADING ARABIAN DATA INTO UNICODE DATABSE
Hi,
I was trying to load arabic data using sql*loader and the datafile is in .CSV format. But i am facing a error Value to large for a column while loading and some data are not loaded due to this error. My target database character set is..
Characterset : AL32UTF8
National Character set: AL16UTF16
DB version:-10g release 2
OS:-Cent OS 5.0/redhat linux 5.0
I have specified the characterset AR8MSWIN1256/AR8ISO8859P6/AL32UTF8/UTF8 separately in the sql*loader control file, but getting the same error for all the cases.
I have also created the table with CHAR semantics and have specified the "LENGTH SEMANTICS CHAR" in the sql*loader control file but again same error is coming.
I have also changed the NLS_LANG setting.
I am getting stunned that the data that i am goin to load using sql*loader, it is resided in the same database itself. But when i am generating a csv for those datas and trying to load using sql*loader to the same database and same table structure,i am getting this error value too large for a column.
whats the probs basically???? whether the datafile is problemetic as i am generating the csv programmetically or is there any problem in my approach of loading unicode data.
Please help...Here's what we know from what you've posted:
1. You may be running on an unsupported operating system ... likely not the issue but who knows.
2. You are using some patch level of 10gR2 of the Oracle database but we don't know which one.
3. You've had some kind of error but we have no idea which error or the error message displayed with it.
4. You are loading data into a table but we do not have any DDL so we do not know the data types.
Perhaps you could provide a bit more information.
Perhaps a lot more. <g> -

Could someone please help and advise what is the root cause of this error?
Thanks,The root cause is in the error ora-1426, which you can look up in the online error documentation at http://tahiti.oracle.com . No one knows every error message by heart. This means it is expected you look up the error prior to posting, and you don't expect any volunteer in this forum to look up the error on your behalf.
Also this is a typical candidate for being a known problem, and known problems can be found on My Oracle Support.

SQL Loader error while loading a date field
Hi,
I am getting the below error while I am trying to load a table with a date field using SQL Loader
Record 1: Rejected - Error on table RPT_HOST_USAGE, column USAGE_TIMESTAMP.
ORA-01861: literal does not match format string
My input file is as below
<code>
Host_Usage_ID,Host_ID,Technology_ID,Environment_ID,Usage_Timestamp,Avg_CPU_Pct,Avg_Memory_MB,CPU_Spike
1,12,1,8,'2009-08-01 00:00:00',0.000000000,23875.000000000,0.000000000
<code>
My Loader.ctl is
<code>
OPTIONS (SKIP=1)
load data
infile 'C:\rpt_Host_Usage.txt'
into table RPT_HOST_USAGE
fields terminated by ","
HOST_USAGE_ID,
HOST_ID,
TECHNOLOGY_ID,
ENVIRONMENT_ID,
USAGE_TIMESTAMP,
AVG_CPU_PCT,
AVG_MEMORY_MB,
CPU_SPIKE
<code>
I have tried options like USAGE_TIMESTAMP TO_DATE(USAGE_TIMESTAMP,'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS') but didn't work...
Can you please tell me how to resolve this issue?
Any pointers on this will be helpful
Thanks
MaheshI went back and looked at some of my old *.ctl files and I did something simlilar to what you mentioned and it worked for me, but I had surrounded the option in double-quotes and included a colon in front of the item. Example:
TECHNOLOGY_ID,
ENVIRONMENT_ID,
USAGE_TIMESTAMP "to_date(:USAGE_TIMESTAMP,'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS')",
AVG_CPU_PCT,
AVG_MEMORY_MB,

Data Load Error while Loading data in PSA
Hi All,
We have BI 7.0. While we are loading data from source system( SAP R/3) to the PSA in BW its giving the error.
Its giving the Error: Error occured in the source system and the request turns RED.
While We are able to Extarct data corectly in SAP R/3 through RSA3.
Pls Suggest.
MayankHi,
I will suggest you to check a few places where you can see the status
1) SM37 job log (In source system if load is from R/3 or in BW if its a datamart load) (give request name) and it should give you the details about the request. If its active make sure that the job log is getting updated at frequent intervals.
Also see if there is any 'sysfail' for any datapacket in SM37.
2) SM66 get the job details (server name PID etc from SM37) and see in SM66 if the job is running or not. (In source system if load is from R/3 or in BW if its a datamart load). See if its accessing/updating some tables or is not doing anything at all.
3) RSMO see what is available in details tab. It may be in update rules.
4) ST22 check if any short dump has occured.(In source system if load is from R/3 or in BW if its a datamart load)
5) Check in SM58 and BD87 for pending tRFCs and IDOCS.
Once you identify you can rectify the error.
If all the records are in PSA you can pull it from the PSA to target. Else you may have to pull it again from source infoprovider.
If its running and if you are able to see it active in SM66 you can wait for some time to let it finish. You can also try SM50 / SM51 to see what is happening in the system level like reading/inserting tables etc.
If you feel its active and running you can verify by checking if the number of records has increased in the data tables.
SM21 - System log can also be helpful.
Thanks,
JituK -

Data Load error when loading character "u00F3"
We are getting an error when trying to load a characteristic that is defined with the Conversion Routine "ALPHA". I'm looking for advice on how to load this infoobject exactly the way it looks without peforming any checks?
Example:
infoobject: IOZNAME
char 20
Conversion routine: ALPHA
value: LórenzoHi,
That shouldn't be a problem. Plenty of people use ALL_CAPITAL without any problems. But you might want to revisit that when you goto unicode or are pulling over any 1 byte languages like Chinese, etc.

Its urgent requirment and i appreciate your solutions
Edited by: Prasad B on Oct 22, 2008 7:42 PMThanks alot Dan and Eugene.
I was following Eugene Blog for flexible update master data.I have create the way you have specififed in the document.
I have created Method to upload Profit center and try to load the data where i am getting error.
I am loading attributes, but not hierachy.I am not understanding why i am not able to load flat file profit center master data into BCS.
The error is "
7 of 7 data rows were ignored
Message no. UCF7017
Diagnosis
A total of 7 data records were read from file C:\Documents and
Settings\Laxmikant.dube\Desktop\P. Of those, 7 records contain parameter
settings that exceed the user limitations for executing the data
collection task.
System response
The ignored records were not checked any further and will not be
written.
Procedure
Make sure that the ignored records are irrelevant for the current task.
If some of the ignored records were supposed to be written, then the
file probably contains an error.
In this case, closely examine the settings for the fields Version,
Fiscal Year, Period, Group Currency, and Consolidation Units in the
file.
If you have more than one characteristic with the role consolidation
unit (a socalled "matrix organization"), also check whether the settings
in the ignored records refer to valid combinations of consolidation
units.
Character string "2000,2008,8" is cut off after 4 characters
Message no. UCF7003
Diagnosis
The current data row contains for characteristic Controlling area the
value 2000,2008,8. But the maximum length for values of this
characteristic is only 4 characters.
System response
The character string "2000,2008,8" is cut off after 4 characters.
Procedure
Check if the string "2000,2008,8" is indeed supposed to be interpreted
as the value of characteristic Controlling area. If this is the case,
avoid exceeding the maximum length for this characteristic.
However, if there has been a mix-up, compare the structure of the file
with the definition in the upload method. If variable column widths are
used, particularly pay attention to the number of field separators in
the data row involved.
Please advise me on this.It would be great help -

Thank you so much...I was advised to run PVM on VirtualBox. When running HVM, it complained about the CPU not supporting for Hardware Virtualization even though I'm sure that the CPU and MB support Hardware Virtualization.
Any thoughts or comments? -
OVM3: Error Boot loader didn't return any data trying to create PVM guests
Hi all,
I am trying to build a pvm guest on OVM3.
I have the OEL5 iso available as ftp://172.30.2.29/oracle_linux/x86_64/5.8/V31120-01-OracleLinux-R5-U8-Server-x86_64-dvd.iso
So I create a new VM, I choose it to be an "oracle Linux 5", PVM guest, I want the boot options to be "network" first and "disk" as second option.
I put ftp://172.30.2.29/oracle_linux/x86_64/5.8/V31120-01-OracleLinux-R5-U8-Server-x86_64-dvd.iso in the network boot path and, when I start the vm, i got the error "Boot loader didn't return any data" (see the log below).
What am I doing wrong?
thanks for every answer!
Andrea

I did the same thing and finally got it to work. If I recall correctly, I finally mounted the iso and then gave that path in my network book path just to the root directory of the mount. -
Map loader / error loading catalog
Hi there,
i have a problem with the "map loader" and my Nokia 5800 XM.
... the map loader worked as i bought the phone some months ago. Everything worked fine. Today i had to do a reset. The map is still working, but i cant get the map loader to work.
After the start of the program and sync with the 5800 XM im getting an errormsg (in german but im trying to translate).. "cannot load the catalog of the 5800 xm"
Thats it. I googled whole day, but found no solution... so this forum is my last help right now.
It worked (today) before i have done the reset so im thinking that its not my OS (Windows7 64bit).
thx in advance
Murtone more thing.. i have updated the FW today to the newest available. 50.0.005
found also another thread here /t5/Maps-Navigation-and-GPS/Map-Loader-error-while-loading-catalogue/td-p/624895/page/2
might be an FW problem then? -
I tried to install the latest version of iTunes on my Windows PC, but the installation failed and I have the error message "Runtime Error R6034 An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly." When I then tried to run iTunes (assuming that, since the new install failed, my older version was still OK) I got the message "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 1114". I tried then uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling it fresh, but encountered the same problems. Help!

Solution to "Quicktime Plug-in failed to load" error
My solution to "Plug-in failed to load" error message when attempting to watch demo movie on Apple website (and others):
I found two Quick-time plugin.plugin files in my Internet Plug-ins folder in my
User Library folder. One was version 6.3 and one was version 6.5.2.
Removing the 6.3 version solved the problem. Removing the 6.5.2 version had no effect, so I removed it also.
Never could have solved this one without the help of Woody at Apple!!!!Why not install version 7?

Hi Experts, I need a help on portal URL. We are using SSA (Spend Analytics) in Portal. One of the option in portal is that you can generate an E-mail Link of a report which goes to users. Link looks like this for end user (They receive it via E-Mail)
