Fatal1ty Professional Series Gaming Headset MkII and USB controler Need help
Hello,
I have PCIE X-FI Titaninum Fatality Pro Series. I am looking for Headset that match up with the sound card.
However, Fatal1ty Professional Series Gaming Headset MkII does not come with USB.
Is it better using USB or 3.5 mm gold plated Jack?
Is the Fatality Pro series gaming Headset MKII coming with USB converter?
Thank You
Hi Psjahigh,

I have tried playing with most settings but the problem still remains. I can hear everything perfectly but the mic just dosnt seem to work properly.
Anyone could help me with this? ThanksHi,

Creative Labs Fatal1ty Professional Series Gaming Headset MkII
I bought a set of Creative Labs Fatal1ty Professional Series Gaming Headset MkII about a month ago and my son accidentally broke the mic. So I emailed Creative Labs customer service/tech support, not requesting a warranty replacement, but instead offering to pay for a new mic to be sent to me. This is the response I received:

Explain this to me again. Why is it not possible for me to just buy a mic to replace the broken one? I have bought 3 sound cards and three headsets prior to the Fatal1ty MkII’s from Creative Labs and have had nothing but total praise for each of them. I bought my new Fatal1ty MkII’s about a month ago for $80 and now I’m told the only way to get a new mic is to spend another $80 and get another new set. Seriously Cooler Master can send me a nut for a heatsink mounting kit, Corsair can send me a new modular connector for my PSU but you, Creative labs, refuse to help me out with getting a new mic for a very expensive headset and I’M OFFERING TO PAY FOR IT. I live and support my family paycheck to paycheck and cannot afford to shell out another $80 for a new headset, especially when the one I have now works just fine and just needs a mic. If I am forced to buy a new headset, it will not be a Creative Labs headset, which is very unfortunate since I completely love the Fatal1ty MkII’s and already miss them. A response would be greatly appreciated.Ok getting irritated now. I get the email ok'ing the replacement for $5 + $5 to ship it and I immediately reply agreeing and asking how I should pay. Then the next email is from your rep is almost a complete contradiction from the previous. I called the support # and was basically told the same thing the last email said and to call back Monday. I 'm not calling back just to get the run-around again so can someone actually help me out with an honest and straight answer. Here's the email thread:

Need help getting Fatal1ty Pro Series Gaming Headset Mic to work
greetings.
i am using a Fatal1ty Pro Series Gaming Headset Mic along with an Audigy 2 ZS Notebook card, and i cannot for the life of me get my laptop to recognize audio coming from the mic. the mic switch on the cord is on, and the status light is lit up, and i can even hear my voice from the mic in the headphones, but the audio is not being inputted into the computer. i'm using winxp pro and have played around with all the audio settings in control panel with no luck. any suggestions? i thank you in advance for your time and consideration. take care.
regards,
jpsHeadsets or microphones with a USB connection cannot be connected to the input connections on a sound card directly. Instead, they must be connected to a USB port on a PC.
They are treated as a separate audio device by Windows. They will be listed as a separate audio device in Device Manager as well as in Windows Multimedia panel. To adjust the volume of the headset or the microphone, use Windows Volume Control. -
Problems regarding my Creative Fatal1ty Pro Series Gaming Headset
Hello Creative
I have had this headset for a while now - and I'm pretty satisfied.
After 2-3 hours of use, my mic as well as sound makes a weird noisy sound - so I can't hear anything and speak to anyone because it's so noisy - like it's the movie introduction man+alot of noise speaking, sometimes it even sounds like an airplane is taking off.
To make it stop, I have to unplug and replug the usb cable again.
I've tried on several computers, with same result - unfortunately.
Have you heard about this problem before, and is there any solution?
Dear regards
RuneI have the HS-200, and that happens for me, about once a month after 00's of hours of use. When it does, I do a hard reset of the microphone using a paperclip and that gets it working again.
Although the first year I had it, I had no problems. This has been a new issue that started recently. -
i have printers at home and work. i need help programing my macbook print utility so computer knows which printer to use depending on where i am. thanks
Look for cloud solutions such as DropBox, OneDrive, SugarSync or others. They are all cloud based services that sync documents between computers via the cloud. Of course another solution is simply a flash drive formatted in exFat so that Macs and Windows computers can read it.

Any known problems with "Xtreme Game Fatal1ty Professional Series" and Nforc
Hello,
i plan to replace my audigy2 with a
"Xtreme Game Fatalty Professional Series".
There are known problems with the card itself and with the Nforce2 chipset?
My board:
MSI K7N2 Delta-L (nForce 2 Ultra400 chipset)
thanks
zivilistMessage Edited by zivilist on 0-3-20060:55 PMIf you are up for the battle that MIGHT transpire with either one of these cards then your welcome to it. EAX will work on games that nati'vely support EAX and the openAL API. Games that are direct sound only will require the ALchemy program to make them work correctly. You can find a list of openAL nati've games on the openAL site...sorry don't have a link for you right now but google it. You might be able to find the list of Direct SOund games that ALchemy works on by going to the ALchemy site as well.
For the most part, stuff is working but I would highly advise you do more research before purchasing any sound cards from Creative. Just check the forums and look under the Vista posts as well as here to get a taste of the issues many are having. -
Gaming headset fuzzy and every time I speak static?
I recently purchased the Sharkoon Xtatic SP Gaming Headset. Every time I plug the USB port in as well as the 3.5 mm stereo jack, I here a fuzzy noise in the headset, almost like someone constantly saying "shhhhhhh". I tried using it with skype and when I did the test call, my voice came back to me as staticy and almost like a crackling popping noise every time I spoke. Is there something wrong with the headset or did I just set it up wrong? Any advice is appreciated!
This is a wireless carrier issue. The fact that the speaker & microphone work properly for other apps is a great indicator that your device is fine.
Contact your wireless carrier about your call quality issue. -
Thinkpad W520 with Minidock+ Series 3 - Dual monitors and USB fail sporadically
Hello there,
I wonder if anyone has experienced problems ThinkPad W520 and Mini Dock Plus Series 3 (Part number: 433830U)? I run into problems with dual monitor and USB devices.
For dual monitor setup, sometimes only a single monitor is detected, sometimes no monitors are available in the NVidia control panel. Rigorous display detection doesn't help. Disabling Optimus in BIOS doesn't seem to affect it. After I dock and undock couple of times, reboot, unplug the power cord, it seems to resolve and both monitors work fine.
Also, I run into troubles with USB devices (keyboard/mouse). Sometimes they are not detected at all, but if I plug them into different USB ports on the mini dock, they are detected and work fine.
For me this problem happens about 50% of the time when I dock... Any ideas, insights or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Could it be a faulty Thinkpad, docking station or may be both? I really to upgrade next time to W530, but I've been through so many problems with W520, so I don't know if it's a good idea...
Thanks so much.
Solved!
Go to Solution. If system update isn't finding anything, and the system works just fine on its own, it could potentially be a faulty Dock.
It could be overloaded. Could you try testing the dock using just one monitor, and no keyboard or mouse, to see if you run into the same issue. It would still be a faulty dock, but it may be a potential workaround for the time being. -
Headphones for Titanium Fatal1ty Professional Series
Hello everyone,
Basically I'm planing to buy Fat. Prof. Series card, but before I do that I need to pick a headphones(5.1/7.1) for this sound card, any suggestions what is a good choice? Or what I should look at when picking. Ah, and I mainly need them for gaming.Thank you in advance.Yes, that's right. And I want to switch simply between speakers and headphones. Only one with sound, the other mute. At the moment, when I plug in my headphones, the speakers becomes mute. That's ok, but . I always want to let my headphones connected and 2.1 when I switch sound to the speakers, the sound also comes out of the headphones. It's not possbile to mute the headphones only. There must be a way.

Sound Blaster Arena Gaming Headset: Microphone not working. Please help.
I am using Vista. I have used Creative Software AutoUpdate and all my drivers are up to date.
So I had the set for about month before tonight I plugged the detachable microphone into it. Its as if it doesn't exist. When I go to sound/recording It shows: Headset/SB Arena Headset/Working. It is set as default. But it doesn't specifically say microphone. Just the headset stuff. The line volume is at 00. But when I talk into it... Nothing.
A look at the Arena FAQs turned up this:
"Are there any indications that the microphone is working?
You should see an orange circle light at the Inline controls. If this orange light blinks, it indicates that the microphone is switched off."
Google searched for Inline controls and I'm still not sure what they are. I've never used a gaming headset before so the trick to this could be overly simple and I'm just not seeing it. Its really starting to tick me off though. Did I just get a brick set and now its to late to return?
I even tried uninstalling my mobo audio drivers. That didn't do anything. Tried using windows audio recorder. Nothing.
Please help me.Hi,
Please download & reinstall this driver and see if helps. If it is still not working, please write to our Customer Support for further assistance. -
Titanium and USB ports - need more
My wife has one of these great compouters! There are only 2 USB ports in which she currently has the mouse and a musical keyboard named Eiderol plugged. Both device get power from the USB port. I just got her a HP LasrJet 1022 printer, which is also a USB device. However, it does not draw its power from the port.
What I want to do is install a hub or some other device that will allow me to use the 3 devices on the 2 ports. Can someone please recommend a solution?
Many thanks in advanceYour best bet is to go with a PC Card (PCMCIA Card) with USB ports. For not a lot of cash you'll be able to not only add more USB ports to your TiBook, but you'll also be able to add USB 2.0, which is significantly faster than the TiBook's typical USB ports. And USB 2.0 is backwards compatible with USB 1.0 devices. Finally, many of today's perhipherals use USB 2.0 to connect, since it's also faster than even Firewire 800.
I think that you can get PC Cards that include USB 2.0 AND Firewire 800,if I'm not mistaken. Here's a link to a very good, informative post in these forums on this topic:

MBP won't boot recovery USB drive, need help
HDD failed on 15" mid2009 MacBook Pro, purchased a Seagate 1TB hybrid drive (SSHD) to replace it with. Went to boot to USB recovery drive with OS X 10.8 using option/alt on boot and would only get the folder with flashing question mark. Tried command+R also. Tried different USB ports. Tried with HDD pulled out. The USB recovery drive does work because we were able to boot to it from a different MBP, and verified the files on it with Disk Utility. Just can't get any kind of recovery options or anything on this Mac with replaced HDD. Need help. Never encountered anything like this, can't find anything like it online, and none of my coworkers can figure it out. We've all been working comps for yrs, one even an ex apple-tech. Thanks for any suggestions!!
Sorry - missed that part about having used both USB ports...
Since you've verified that the USB thumb drive works on another Mac, and that it won't boot whilst holding down the option key, I would advise taking your machine to an Apple Store or an AASP to have them diagnose your machine (which will be free). They, too, should have USB sticks that they can use to test the machine.
Good luck,

I have EMS 3.5 installed and functioning. Need help with where to go next!
Hello All,
I am brand new to this and need a very basic push in the right direction.
I have FMS 3.5 installed on my server and I am ready to begin testing with it.
My website has a page with descriptions of videos and links to those videos.
When a link is selected, I want a new page to open and the video to play in the FMS player.
I have absolutely no idea how to go about this. I need some meaty information here. I read tom Green's tutorials, and although I found that they were informative, they are also quite general.
I have Flash Professional CS4 and I just need to know what the heck to do next.
Any and all help will be supremely appreciated.
Sincerely,
wordmanGentlemen,
Thank you for the answers, I will definitely look into what you both suggested.
My next step is getting a player into a separate page that plays selected videos through RTMP.
The player that comes with FMS would be fine, but I do not know how to alter it, change colors, etc.
Then I was looking into Real Eyes' REOPS player, and the white papers alone stopped me in my tracks. I realize it's probably easy, but now ehrn you are a novice, to understand it.
Then I saw Adobe Strobe, the OSMF-based player and thought that might be good for me.
The biggest problem I see is that Adobe's resources are not always easy to find on this website, same goes fo rthe OSMF site. Not very well structured sites for a software company.
Bottom line is, I need to get a player on a page that plays though RTMP. Any thoughts there? I'm completely new to Flash.
Thank you all!!!
Sincerely,
wordman
