Faulty Lenovo ThinkVision 19 inches monitor -L194WD. Half of the is screen fuzzy

We have five faulty Lenovo ThinkVision 19 inches monitor -L194WD.
Quota of upper part of the monitor is washed-out  or fuzzy and three quotas of the lower part of the monitor appear to be OK. Any idea, advice or solution will be extremely appreciated. Please help me to solve this problem.

Huskka,
Welcome to the forum...
Can you tell us a bit more about the situation?    How many of these displays do you have in total?  Just these five?    And all five of them do exactly the same thing, when connected to the same computer?
How long have you had these?   Have they ever worked properly, and this condition developed over time, or have they never worked in this configuration?
What system are you connecting them to?   Are you using an analog or digital connection?
Thanks
Mark

  • Working on an external monitor as well as the macbook screen

    Hello,
When working on an external monitor as well as the macbook screen is there anyway you can have the top bar (with file, edit ect) on the second monitor also?
Im using a macbook with mountain lion if that helps.
    Many thanks,
    Chris

    Yes.
System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement Tab
Then one of the monitors should be displaying this screen:
You can put your cursor on that white bar (shown on the blue box to the left) and drag it over to the right if that is where you want the menu bar.
I have mine set up here with my external monitor to the left and the MBPro to the right with my Menu Bar on my external screen as shown by the white bar being on top of the left blue square above.
    Hope this helps.
    Update:
I misread your question I believe.
If you want the menu bar to be on BOTH screens at the same time you need to have Mirror Displays checked so that the same image is on both screens. That is the only way.

  • Lenovo ThinkVision Pro2840m 4K no DisplayPort signal on POST

    Hi all,
I have a pair of the Lenovo ThinkVision Pro2840m 4K monitors since about 4 days ago, and very unfortunately I am encountering a lot of issues which I will be posting in separate messages.
    My configuration is as follows:
System: Lenovo ThinkStation S10 with BIOS ver. 2WKT47AUS
Graphics: NVIDIA GTX670 by POV with BIOS ver. 80.04.19.00.04
    OS: Windows 7 Enterprise x64 ver. 6.1.7601
NVIDIA: Drivers 331.82 (but have same issue with 332.21/337.88/340.43)
ThinkVision Display: Microcode LN3.01 with display driver ver. 1.0.0.0 (10/09/2013) installed
Connection: Cable connected on the DisplayPort of the display and on the DisplayPort of the GPU with the included in the box DP-DP cable. No other displays are connected to the GPU other than the Pro2840m.
Issue: No video signal during POST on DisplayPort
When powering on the PC, the display detects a video signal (else it would show 'DP No Connection - Check Signal Cable) and its power indicator goes from orange to green, then the 'Power Saving Mode' sign comes on (in the meantime the PC is going through POST) then the sign goes off and the power indicator turns back to orange. Then when the windows booting process is complete, the power indicator goes back from orange to green and the monitor displays the windows login screen.
As a consequence of this I can not enter the BIOS and RAID settings. It is obvious that I need to be using the DisplayPorts on both the GPU and display because only then I will be able to run 4K@60Hz. So switching to use other connectors on the GPU (even if they would provide signal) is not an option, as I will need to be swapping cables on and off each time I need to restart the PC just to keep an eye if for instance one of my RAID arrays has failed.
I really would appreciate it if anyone else having this display can replicate or has this problem too. Maybe someone from Lenovo support can ask their colleagues to try this with a similar setup to verify the issue.
If I have any updates I will certainly post them here on the OP.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    UPDATE
2 Days ago I received my second pair of the Lenovo Pro2840m 4K monitors with a newer manufacturing date (21-06-2014) compared to the first pair (20-05-2014). It turns out that the new pair have very pleasantly a newer firmware running.
Microcode LN3.06 appears to have addressed the major issue of no DisplayPort signal during POST. I have tested and can confirm to all interested that when running LN3.06 the issue is no longer present during a cold startup, restart/reboot and resume from hibernation.
I want to thank the dedicated hardware team behind the ThinkVision line, and I will proceed to obtain the new Microcode for my first pair of screens as well.

  • LENOVO ThinkVision LT2223z with Windows 8.1

    Hi,
got today 15 April 2015 the ThinkVision LT2223z monitor delivered.
Connected it via HDMI cable with my Acer notebook running Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit.
The Device Manager recognized it as a Generic PnP Monitor, so I downloaded the driver files (v 1.0) provided on the support page of LENOVO. After installation of the drivers, the Driver Manager recognized the monitor as LT2223zwC.
It works fine, nice picture, but the integrated web cam somehow doesn't work.
If I for example use Skype and there the Video Settings section in the Options menu, there is only the integrated web cam available which comes with the Acer notebook, but not the integrated web cam which comes with the LENOVO monitor. I can't see the LENOVO web cam in Device Manager either.
The LENOVO support page says that the monitor is only compatible with up to Win 8, perhaps that is the reason why it doesn't work fully in Win 8.1?
Does anybody uses this monitor with Win 8.1?
    Cheers!

Since the Lenovo is connecting to your boyfriend's Wi-Fi network but not yours, there may be something amiss with how the new laptop is getting is IP addresses from your AirPort Extreme.
Can your son's laptop access other network clients on your local network and just not gain Internet access? If that's the case, open a web browser on his laptop and instead of entering a URL, like www.amazon.com, enter the site's actual IP address. Can the browser access the site now? If it can then the issue is related to DNS. Please post back your results.

  • Working with 30 inches monitors and speed degradation

Hi! I'm working in Windows with a 30 inches monitor, using a Quadro FX 5800 so have a lot of GL power. I observed that there is a significant speed degradation on the refresh rate of mask editing and layer moving when I maximize AE to the 30 inches monito on a resolution of 2560x1600 even when the project I'm working on it is just NTSC, apparently this is cause for the big area on the camera view, if I detach the view from the interface and trim it to the NTSC size, so I do not see any gray space on the sides, the the speed gets much better. It seems that AE is refreshing the whole view, even the gray areas outside of the NTSC size. This looks to me like a bad optimization of the view, I hope to see this better optimized for CS5, and I was able to reproduce this on any machine I tried with a 30 inches monitor.
    Thanks

    Dear Apple,
Apparently you aren't taking the dual link monitor issue seriously enough. I will therefore not be spending $3000 on your current line of products, but will upgrade my existing MPB. If you want my money, be SURE to support power users who use 30 inch monitors externally (DELL monitors, not Apple's offerings). I bided my time, sure that reports that the dual link adapters (which I shouldn't have to buy anyway, as my monitor has regular DisplayPort on it) was fixed would surface. As they have not, I will not be buying at this time.

  • T530 lenovo thinkpad, need dual monitor cables/converters: just a USB to split into 2 VGAs?

I want to run dual monitors from my T530, or, better yet, from the 4337 docking station. Can I just get a USB with a split pair of VGA ends?

you want to run two extra monitor in addition to the internal LCD? The T530 with the series 3 workstation dock will be able to support that, if you want to use displayport or dvi out.
If you need vga, you can get a USB2VGA conveter, and use the other vga port on the laptop as the second vga source. If you need to have 2 vga to give the exact same video signal, you can get a vga to dual vga splitter cable.

  • Display with horizontal lines on half of the monitor

    Hi,
Anyone knows what the issue might be with this laptop monitor?
It shows very fine horizontal lines but only on right half of the display.

Probably a GPU issue.  Make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar for a definitive analysis.  There will be no software solution for this hardware problem.
    Ciao

    Same here!
A few seconds after my iMac came out of sleep the top half of the monitor went dim. I'll post again once I hear from Apple.

  • Port Replicator loses connection to 2 external monitors and moves all the windows to the main screen

I recently purchased a Lenovo USB 2.0 Port Replicator with Digital Video (0A33942) to use with my Lenovo ThinkPad E530 laptop and two external monitors. One of the monitors is plugged into the port replicator with a VGA cord and the other one is plugged in directly into the laptop also with VGA.
The issue I'm having is randomly during the day, both screens will go blank, when they come back up everything that was open on the second screen gets moved to the main one. This happens about 15 times a day and although not a life threatening issue, it's still more of an annoyance moving everything back to the second screen as it was originally set up.
I have gone to Power Options and I have switched the sleep mode to 'Never'. Anyone have any suggestions? This is really driving me nuts. I tried calling Lenovo support and they told me this wasn't in "their scope" of support issues.
    Thanks

this is a driver incompatibility issue, it happens with some displaylink devices. I had this problem with the Lenobo USB 2.0 port replicator before.
Since the E530 has USB 3.0, i suggest you get a Lenovo's USB 3.0 dock, which will support 2 external LCD (but only one of the dvi on the dock can be converted to vga).

  • Pavilion 23xi left half of the screen seems stripy and darker

when using the computer left half of the screen suddenly flashed green and got darker, seems like it's stripy, like covered with a thin black net. i tried updating graphics drivers, restarting computer, changing monitors settings like refresh rate and stuff nothing helped.
    thanks in advance!

    Hello kasparas,
I have seen and read your post about your monitor showing a green color along the left side with stripes. I understand you have already tried updating your graphics driver and restarting your computer and checking your monitor settings.
I have researched this issue for you and I have found a few troubleshooting documents, that I hope can point you in the right direction to get this resolved.
I will post the link below for you. I am posting the main troubleshooting link for all different types of monitor display issues as your description could be in a few of these guides.

  • Has anyone had issues with half of the screen going hay wire?

I have a 24" LED cinema display. Purchased 09'. The first one I bought had one dead pixel and so they swapped that one out with this new one. For the past 2 years it has a great monitor until about 6 months ago it started distorting half of the screen. It would only do it so often but now its more persistent and more aggressive issue. I called Apple today and got a few options. They said it could be the board ( the cheap option ) or it could be the LCD panel ( the expensive option )
I want to know if anyone has had this issue or anything like it and if so what was the solution? the board or the LCD panel?
Take a look at the pictures from today.. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v516/Josh-O-Wah/photo.jpg

Right, I know that much. My question is how bad is the hardware issue.. I was hoping someone might have an idea if it was the mother board inside the monitor or if it was the LCD panel. One is 100 dollar fix the other is 600 dollar fix.. =T

  • I just downloaded pictures off of a flash drive, and half of the pictures are messed up?

I just downloaded pictures off of my flash drive and half of the picture comes out really oddly.... Example:
Does anyone know what is causing this?

Yes, forgetting the pictures, you desktop background is showing these color issues?
You need to contact Apple for diagnostic / repair.  You have a hardware issue with the logic board or logic feeder cable to monitor (unlikely the monitor itself).
You just bought it and its a Retina macbook Pro correct?    Never dropped or any water spills?
I was hoping that wasnt it until you said that.
while you STILL CAN see everything (even if off color) backup up ALL VITAL DATA to an external mem stick or hard drive.  Documents, pics, working files, etc etc

  • Dynex 32 LCD -Half of the picture goes green with a red band

Hello- I purchased a Dynex 32 LCD TV around Christmas and As a TV it was a great buy, however when I use it as a PC monitor using either DVI, VGA or HDMI connectors I get an intermittent issue with half of the screen. The right side of the screen (From the middle of the screen to the far right) will turn a light green, (almost like it goes 16 colors) and has a red veritical band from the top to the bottom of the screen. Sometimes turning the TV on and off will fix it, or changing pages on a web browser will cause it to go away, sometimes it just stays. Anyone heard of this issue? I use LCDs as monitors at work and I've never seen this happen before.

Sounds like it needs servicing.  If you bought it in September it should still be under the 1 yr manufacturer warranty.  You can bring it into the store with your receipt and have customer service send it to service for you.  It will be returned to the store and can be picked up when service is complete.  I will say, however, warranty service can be lengthy.  Expect to not have your TV for a few weeks.
