    Hi shea31,
Unfortunately, this printer doesn't have a fax function. You can also check the printer's product specifications.

  • Scheduling Faxes for later transmission

The manual, in the section on Faxing starting on page 60, begins the second sentence with:  "You can schedule faxes to be sent at a later time ...".
I have not been able to find any further information on this in the manual, nor, in the dialog boxes when selecting the 8625 as my FAX-printer and the dialog boxes to send a fax.
I would be happy to use this functionality via the HP fax/print driver if it is actually available and someone can tell me how to do so, or, I'd gladly use Windows Fax-Scan to schedule faxes for later transmission if someone could tell me the network address (WFS is asking for a network fax server address) to use.
    This question was solved.

    Hi Jimmy,
Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
Your printer's User Guide does say that... it is either lying to you or the information is missing.  I do not know which is the case.
The following is from the HP Photosmart 7520 User Guide on the same subject (Page 28):
    Excerpted:
Schedule a fax to send later
You can schedule a black-and-white fax to be sent within the next 24 hours. This enables you to send a blackand-white fax late in the evening, when phone lines are not as busy or phone rates are lower, for example.
The printer automatically sends your fax at the specified time.
You can only schedule one fax to be sent at a time. You can continue to send faxes normally, however, while a fax is scheduled.
NOTE: You can only send scheduled faxes in black-and-white.
To schedule a fax from the printer control panel
    1. Load your original print-side down in the right-front corner of the glass or print-side up in the Automatic Document Feeder.
    2. Touch Fax, and then touch Settings.
    3. Touch Send Fax Later.
    4. Enter the send time by touching up and down arrows, touch AM or PM, and then touch Done.
    5. Enter the fax number by using the keypad, touch (Speed Dial) to select a speed dial, or touch (Call History) to select a previously dialed or received number.
    6. Touch Start Fax. The printer scans all pages and the scheduled time appears on the display. The fax is sent at the scheduled time.
    To cancel a scheduled fax
    1. Touch the Fax, then touch Settings.
    2. Touch Send Fax Later.
    3. Touch Cancel Scheduled Fax.

  • Virtual Fax for my iMac

I have been using eFax for a few months, but their billing policy is not something I can abide by.
They just charged me $20.00 because they deemed it necessary to re-submit a 25-page fax 14 times without notifying me, costing me $30.00.
In any event, that's neither here nor there.
What I need is feedback on a good and fair virtual fax for Macs.
    Thank you.

You can try doing a SMC reset with a wired keyboard, if that doesn't work the keyboard may need to be replaced.
    SMC RESET
    Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
    Release the power button.
    Attach the computers power cable.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
    PRAM RESET
    Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.

  • Failure to scan, copy, and fax for HP Officejet 4500

I am trying to scan with my HP Officejet 4500 and it is not allowing me to do so. When I turn on the printer it says "Scanner Failure. Cannot scan, copy, or fax". When I try to scan, I have the wireless option to send it to my computer and when I select my computer, nothing happens and it takes me back to scan, copy, fax menu.  I have tried installing and reinstalling and unistalling too many times. I have also unplugged all wires. Nothing is working. I have had mutiple problems with this printer and it is not even a month old. How do I fix this issue.

My best advice to give in regards to trusting HP may be a little biased (as I have always had good luck with electronics).  So with any new printer, remember that when deciding to purchase anything, I avoid the cheapest and the most expensive item, regardless of the product or the manufacturer (because they are usually the most fragile).  A good mid-priced reliable printer that I absolutely adore for its durability is the Officejet 6700 because it has all the great functionality of an expensive unit, affordable ink like for cheaper printers, and you still get the free one year warranty.  That is simply my opinion as I do not get paid to sell anything. I hope this helps you.  Best of luck with your decision.  May any printer you choose bring you many successful years of printing.

  • Bluetooth Faxing for GSM Sony Ericsson 630 in Tiger

Please look for the following in the Finder Help:Mac Help
    "bluetooth fax"
Worked like a charm with the above phone model on my Powerbook 1.5Ghz with internal Bluetooth. Please note after following the instructions closely, the Fax driver is added, but does not appear until you send the fax, and the "Bluetooth-modem" is chosen in the "Set up Fax Modem"
This solution does not require a GPRS connection, but will work like any phone call on your phone.
    Enjoy.

As the info contains some screen pics, I cannot include it here. But the question arises, are you using 10.4 - Tiger? Did you choose finder and then go into the help menu there? I would like to stress that I only tried it with the phone that I mentioned above.
I include the text part from the Help item below:
"Faxing over Bluetooth is possible in Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger (and Mac OS X 10.3 Panther), but not all wireless carriers and phones support faxing—and this function is not supported by AppleCare.
If you do want to add a Bluetooth-Modem fax device in Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must add it manually. Note: Faxing must be supported by the phone and wireless carrier, too, for this to work. Follow these steps to add the device in Tiger:
If you're using a Bluetooth adapter, connect it to your computer if it isn't.
From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
Click Print & Fax to display the preferences.
    Click the Printing tab.
Click the plus sign button; the Printer Browser window opens.
    Option-click the More Printers button.
In the sheet that appears, choose Advanced from the top pop-up menu. (If you don't see Advanced in the menu, click Cancel and repeat the previous step.)
From the Device pop-up menu, choose Bluetooth-Modem. (If this doesn't appear, be sure that your Bluetooth adapter is connected.)
From the Printer Model pop-up menu, choose Other.
In the resulting "Choose a File" dialog, select your Mac OS X volume icon.
Click on the following folders—in this order—to navigate to the PrintCore.framework Resources folder:
    System
    Library
    Frameworks
    ApplicationServices.framework
    Frameworks
    PrintCore.framework
    Resources
Select the appropriate folder for the language you are using. For example, North American English users should select English.lproj.
    Select Fax.ppd and click Choose.
    Click Add.
Your Printer Browser window should look something like this after you've completed the steps: "

  • Receiving faxes for an HP Pavilion 1510PC

I have an HP Pavilion 1510PC, Product # H2M40AA. I've had the system for about a year now.
    I installed a U.S. Robotics 56K V.92 USB Soft Modem - LSI USB 2.0 Soft Modem. From what I see I can use a 2.0 or a 3.0 hook up for it.
I hope I've included all the necessary information that you need.
The problem is that  I have my modem set up but can not send  faxes when I try it tells me that it's not connected to the internet, but when I do a diagnostic test it says everything is running properly. I've run all the suggested tests and still can't send a fax.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello @JPJ408,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you are looking to purchase an HP Officejet Pro 6830 All-in-One Printer for faxing purposes. While the User Guide advises you to plug the Answering Machine directly into the rear of the Officejet, it is not necessary.
If you have a fax line with an answering machine on it, the only requirement is that the fax machine is set to two rings higher than the answer machine. Most answering machines are set to pick up on 4 rings. Therefore, you would set your Officejet to pick up automatically on 6 rings. That way, when a voice call comes in, you can manually answer the call before the answering machine picks up. If you're not home then people can still leave you messages on your answering machine. If you have a fax coming through, do not answer. The answering machine will pick up after 4 rings. At this point the fax machine will 'listen in' on the answering machine message and if fax tones are detected than the fax machine will take over and receive the fax.
I hope this helps clear up any confusion.

    Wanna help me??
would take a single and simple modification to the firmware and the sfw!!
thank you and sorry for my english !!

If you want the printer to print a confirmation report, in most models, you can turn Fax Confirmation on for Send and Receive under the Basic Fax Settings on the front panel of the printer.  Are you saying you have done this yet the printer is still not printing them?  This is one of the very few Enterprise Officejet printers on the market and  I do not have access to it.  Post your question on the HP Enterprise Business Community to gain more exposure to other owners of this printer as well as the experts that work on them.
I will do my best to assist you though.  Do not forget that your printer is also very likely under warranty.  Click here to find an HP technical support center near you.

    Welcome to the forum.
The first landing page is asking for a Fonera login (which we are not).
The second is asking for your primary BT username and password (BT email address and password) by which route we log in as BT BB customers.
To log in therefore, you have to jump from the first landing page to the second.  Just create a bookmark for the second landing page on your browser.
