FDT_WORKBENCH error for a formula in Building Tax Calculator tutorial

Hi Gurus,
We are having NW 702. I was trying to follow the tutorial in http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d08b8523-ec92-2b10-89b1-eff0cacda349
On providing the formula-
25000 EUR * 0.1 + (Gross_Salary-25000 EUR)*0.2
I am getting FDT_Workbench syntax error.
The doc is for NW 701. What am I doing wrong? I also see differences in UI. Is there an updated link for NW 702?

How to create the formula for the expression
25000 EUR * 0.1 + (Gross_Salary - 25000 EUR) * 0.2:
Step 1:
Click on Amount button and enter 25000.00 and EUR in the pop up.
Step 2:
Click on * button
Step 3:
Click on Number button and enter 0.1
Step 4:
Click on + button
Step 5:
Click on ( button
Step 6:
Click on Gross_Salary variable in context table.
Step 7:
Click on - button
Step 8:
Repeat Step 1
Step 9:
Click on ) button
Step 10:
Click on * button
Step 11:
Click on Number button and enter 0.2

1 st error: Even though I had added the URLs related to Webservice WSDLs that composite and BPEL have to load,I am getting 'read WSDL' errors when I open the composite.Sometimes it is loading properly and sometimes it is not loading properly.I restarted the system and I had aslo put webbrowser and proxy unchecked still I am facing that issue
2 nd error: As I any schema node in assign activity I am getting 'Exception building schema' errors.
What I feel I had set some memory settings so that wsdls and schemas will load properly.
Please do the needful to resolve these issues as I have to work on some production issues urgently.

Maybe you can use the MDS to decouple your development environment with your runtime environment.
Put you're WSDLs/XSDs in a local MDS that you then sync with your runtime environment.
Instead of referencing to the life WSDL you reference to a oramds:// url.

Tax calculation in backend and in SRM (classic and standalone scenario)

Hello,
I have an issue regarding calculation of tax. 2 scenarios are used in common: classic and standalone. One node of Organizational structure is using classic scenario, another node is using standalone. So I have 2 Accounting Systems defined (one for each node).
Requirement is:
- For classic scenario, setting the tax calculation in backend
- For standalone scenario, setting the tax calculation to no tax calculation
Problem is that I can not customize the system this way. I do not know any mean to set 2 ways for tax calculation. Would you have any idea to do this?

We are facing an issue when triggering a new build using TFS 2013 Update 4, VS2013 Update 4 using TFVCTemplate.12.XAML template. All our other older build definitions just work fine but not the TFVCTemplate.12.XAML. It seems to me that some certificate
might be invalidated. Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

Thanks for your reply.
It’s strange, if your old build definitions can work using the same TFS Build Server, that indicate your TFS Server configuration is correct and can works. But only new build definition with default TfvcTemplate.12.xaml template cannot build successful.
Please share your TFS Server detailed environment information here. And share your
Build Service Properties dialog screenshot here.
Try to clean the Cache for TFS 2013 manually(delete the content of the folder only, not the cache folder itself):
Clean the Cache folder on Server machine. The folder path is:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Team Foundation Server 12.0\Application Tier\Web Services\_tfs_data.
After cleaned, on Server machine, click Start and select
Run… to open the dialog box, then input iisreset.exe and click OK, wait it run completely.
Additionally, you can run the TFS 2013 Power Tools BPA to scan the installation of your TFS Server.

I have requirement to calculate service tax on customer payments made in construction company while booking a flat in building.
here we need to calculate service tax on noted items in FICO.depending on work completed and amount received we have to calculate service tax applicable for those payment made.as,I am new in this construction sector having confusion in calculation of amount.can anyone guide me through this.

I've made the following configuration settings:
Step1: RE-Fx>> Accounting>> Automatically Generated Accounting Documents>> Summarize Documents:
Under this node>> Set Item Summarization "Active" for the particular co. code.
Step 2: Defined service tax under "Tax Type" for country INDIA
Step3: Under the IMG node:
RE-Fx>> Accounting>> Integration FI-GL, FI-AR, FI-AP>> Assign Tax Code:
I've maintained Service Tax (tax type) to the country IN.
Also in the contract under posting parameters tab; i've maintained the Tax Type as Service Tax.
In conditions tab also, when I'm simulating the condition, I'm getting the correct entries, (as shown in the screen shot):
Condition Amount: 20,0000 INR
Net Cnd Crrncy: 20,000 INR (for the month of July)
Tax Cnd Crrncy: 2472 INR.
However, when I'm doing RERAPP; i'm unable to post the condition. Getting the 2 errors (screen shot attached):
1) Tax code S2 does not exist in company code E500
2) Taxes by item is activated; consequently, transfer by item is mandatory
Kindly pl. assist where I'm going worng or any configuration missing due to which I'm unable to execute RERAPP for a condition (with service tax calcultaion) for a commercial lease in contract.

Witholding tax calculation with complex formula

Hi Team,
Is there any solution for the below requirement in calculating withholding tax.
System should consider the below formula while calculating Withholding tax for vendor.
If the Invoice (INV) amount is Less than 800 = Tax is 0
801 to 4000 = (INV amount - 800) * 20%
4001 to 20000 = (80% of INV amount) * 20%
20001 to 50000 = (80% of INV amount) * 30%
more than 50001 = (80% of INV amount) * 40%
as per my understanding we can use withholding tax forms. but I am not able to get the above scenario. Can anybody trough the exact step to build the above formula for calculating withholding tax code.

You create a new WHT Type and Code for this scenario, where in for WHT code defenition, you must select indicator WHT Formula.
Now you can maintain formula for the above created type and code combination with the conditions of your requirement.

When i am running retropay for 3711 employees one of them errors out and the retropay by element process ends as Incomplete.

you can delete the retro assignment action for the moment, so you can launch the run for all employees.
As such, you have some more time to debug the issue.
I would activate some payroll tracing, so you know which fast formula throws this error. And then you should dig further, so you can identify the sql retruning multiple rows.
Or you do a sql*trace. That one will also point you to the offensive sql.

We are creating POs from interface program "Import Standard Purchase Order Program". Only for few of the POs, we are encountering the error 'Warning: An error occurred during tax calculation
. Please correct the problem or contact your system administrator.'
This error is happening for few PO's, other POs with same vendor, ship to and bill to location created successfully by the program
Any inputs on how to resolve this error is greatly appreciated.

Tax calculation in T-code f-02 for vendor payment

Hi Gurus,
1. All tax setting are correct and working in f-43, f-48.
2. But I want to calculate tax in f-02 by using posting key 25 for payment of rent to vendors.
3. While inputs are given the error message is given as withholding tax is ignored.
Pl help and give solution.

With use of correct tax code the calculation will happen same as vendor transaction.
do it is giving any error message or not calculation tax.

Error in Accounting Doc with 2 taxes

Dear Gurus,
My client
requirement is that they required 3 different taxes on pricing procedures of
Sales Order to Billing Document. One is
general sales tax i.e 17% (MWST) , other is income tax (ZIN) i.e 10%
and last one is Additional Tax i.e.1% (ZADT) . I have created condition
types ZIN and ZADT by copying MWST with same access sequence. Both Taxes ZIN
and ZADT should utilize automatically (Condition Record) in sales document instead of any manual
entry.
First I tested the scenario with Condition Type of MWST only and it runs successfully
till creation of accounting document. Later I am testing with condition record
with ZIN but at the time of accounting document following error is coming:
Tax code OG does not appear in any G/L account item
Message no. FF753
I have
searched all the relevant queries on SCN and following steps already done in
customization from my end:
Tax type ZIN is assigned on Tax calculation procedure TAXPK with
Account Key ZIT similarly as on Sales Pricing Procedure
Create Tax Processing ZIT at T Code :OBCN with Tax Type: Out Put Tax and Posting
Ind.:Separate line indicator
Create Tax Code :OG at Tcode :FTXP
and assign 10 in Tax Perc Rate with Tax Type :Income Tax ,Acct Key:ZIT
and Cond Type:ZIN
Assign Tax Code OG with relevant G/L on Tax Processing :ZIT at Tcode
:OB40
Assign Tax Category in relevant G/L as * (All Tax Types Allowed)

the function of the sort key is that the setting done in the sort key will be there in the Assignment field in the accounting docuement.
the sort key is defined at the accoutn level in control tab and also at the customer master level in company code data.
if there is a mismatch between sort key defined at the customer master level and defined in the account level then system flashes this error.
u just remove the sort key from the customer master Company code data then try posting the documetr.

TAX code custmisaion for Overseas Company with local Tax code

Hi Gurus...
I am facing following scenario:
**My company is set ups as overseas company / company code curr / local Curr = overseas Curr, My group currency is local currency / home country curr.
**I like to raise PO for a vendor who is local and supplying goods locally, invoicing in local currency for Overseas company. Goods will be used locally.
I like to know how should I configure this from TAX perspective.

Config for Tax calculation

Hi All,
I am SRM functional guy but trying to analyze a issue we are having - Via SRM when we create Shopping Cart and send to backend for PO creation(Classic Scenario), Shopping cart item says 'Error in Transmission' and when I look at RZ20 it says 'For ERS Tax calculation has to be setup'.

Hi,
For the ERS vendor the tax code is mandetory and the tax code which u are entering in SC,Please check in FTXP the tax code settings.
Or if you want to avoide this error, use non ERS vendor in SC.
