Features in version 12 not in version 13

Adobe isn't forthcoming about the features that they have deleted in version 13. So far I've discovered a dumbed-down version of Create-Slide Show, text panel is gone from Effects, & Color Variations is gone from Adjust Color. Some people may not care, and may like the added new features, but I use the stuff that has been taken out of 13, and I resent having to search out these changes (rather than having Adobe just tell us what it has done) so I can decide whether to "upgrade." Are there other deletions I haven't found yet? Thx.

It looks like you have installed the trial version before upgrading: that's the best advice we can give.
If you are using Windows , Elements 13 is now a 64 bits application, so that many plugins won't work.

Instead, the Apple store gave me credit towards a new classic, which produced the same problem. This problem is not isolated to a single computer. Secondly, the convert to ipod version feature in Itunes does not resolve the problem. Lastly, I tried restoring the ipod to no avail. I've heard this is a video codec problem.

I'm trying to create a DSC Pull Server with a 2008 R2 SP1 Virtual Machine,

after installing all of these modules and moving on to later tutorials I'm experiencing an error every time I try to run a pull server configuration scrpit.

I then trid to execute that code on the localhost,
it came up with this error:

From what you write, it looks like it depends on a quite old version of
Ecore Tools (and so it's not a very active project producing update site
based on recent versions of other projects). It looks like you can fine
the old version of Ecore tools from this page:
https://www.eclipse.org/ecoretools/download.html
You'd need to add that to your "Available update sites" preferences.

Deploying Office 2013 x64 - feature installation state msp not applying

So I created my MSP with setup.exe /admin and configured a number of options in it. I saved the msp as "1Office64bit.msp" and saved it into the Updates folder. I also have a service pack for Office 2013 in the Updates folder.
I created an SCCM application to deploy office. My deployment installation program looks like this - setup.exe /config proplus.ww\config.xml
During my SCCM Build and Capture task sequence Office 2013 installs, the updates apply, and all of the settings in the MSP apply except for one. I specificed in the msp feature installation states to NOT install the Outlook feature, but it's not working?
Also - as a test after the task sequence completes, I run "msiexec /p \\pathtomsp\1Office64bit.msp - and it removes Office like it should. But I don't know why this doesn't happen during the initial installation?

You should use either a config xml file or an MSP during the installation of Office (2013). In your current command line it looks like you're trying to use both. As you saved the MSP file in the updates folder, simply specifying setup.exe should be enough
to start the installation and let it use the MSP.

So I tried just running setup.exe and it doesn't seem to be working either. I verified in the ccm appenforce.log that the install command was just setup.exe (so the change made it to the client) but Outlook was still installed.
I'm going to try changing it to setup.exe /adminfile to see if that works.

Hi,
Please try to download the SP1 Edition of the rsSharePoint.msi
file and install it. You have to install the SP1 edition of RS if you are using SP 2013.

"The feature Power View is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services" after installation of November CU for SharePoint

We had deployed Reporting Services / PowerPivot /Powerview for a customer and everything was tested and appeared to be working fine . However after installing the November CU we now get the following error :
"The feature Power View is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services"
Initially PowerPivot wasn't working either but that got resolved after re-installing the rssharepoint and sppowerpivot msi files. Has anyone faced this issue?

According to your description, my understanding is that the PowerView not work after installing the November CU Updates.
I check the November CU updates, it have no affects on the PowerView or PowerPivot.
The reason for this issue may occur when the PowerPivot Service Application is not running after installing the CU updates.

The raise to speak feature on Siri does not work anymore is there any possible fixes for this

I had the same problem (iPhone 5), but the fix was simple.
Turn off your Bluetooth. Yeah, I know this sounds crazy. Here's why.
When you use Siri with the "Raise to Speak" feature activated (Settings/General/Siri), this enables the proximity sensor that lets the iPhone know it is near your ear, activates Siri, and turns off the display.
However, if you are using a bluetooth headset (like I do), then this sensor is turned off automatically, because you will be speaking thru your bluetooth and not the iPhone to activate Siri and make calls.
To prove this, do the following test.
Make sure "Siri" is on, and "Raise to Speak" is on (Settings/General/Siri).
Turn off your Bluetooth (Settings/Bluetooth).
(TEST) Hold your phone in front of you, and with a natural motion, bring the phone to your ear (as if you are answering a call). Siri will automatically activate, assuming you want to ask it/her a question (very cool feature). And the screen will turn offautomatically.
If you have never used the "Raise to Speak" feature, this feature automatically activates Siri when you raise the phone to your ear (really a cool and helpful feature). It may take a little practice to get used to this. I struggled at first, but soon got the hang of using a natural motion to bring the phone to my ear. Starting with the phone in front of you, the phone should be "almost" parallel to the ground when it gets to your ear. It may take several practice tries to get it, but you will get it, and you will be hooked on this neat little feature.
Ok, with this done, this proves your proximity sensor is funtioning properly.
Now, turn on your Bluetooth (Settings/Bluetooth).
And repeat the same (TEST) above.
This time, Siri should not activate, and the screen should not go off. Why? This is because your voice communications with callers (and Siri), are now going thru your Bluetooth, and not the phone handset. Because of this, their is no need for the proximity sensor, so it is automatically turned off (when Bluetooth is on).
I can only speak for me and my situation, and what worked for me. However, their may be other issues regarding the proximity sensor separate of this that I am not aware of.

Feature Request - Flag or note options

Switched from the Dark Side ten days ago after spending my first dozen computing years on PCs. Am tickled with my new Mini and having a great time getting familiar with the Mac environment and learning what different apps can do.
On the PC, I used Thunderbird for email and there are features it includes that I miss in Mail. My preference is to stay with Mail rather than switch to TBird for Mac, but the absence of certain options is a nuisance given the nature of my work.
One thing I'd like to see ASAP are more sophisticated options for flagging, rather than merely whether or not to add a flag to an email message. Minimally, it would be good to be able to choose from an assortment of different coloured flags. But ideally, added to that feature, I'd like to see a tool for setting follow-up reminders (e.g., a right-click option that lets you send a reference to the email and add a note about it in iCal).
Alternatively, being able to attach a sticky or note to a flagged message could provide the additional functionality I'm looking for.
Does anyone know of any plans to add these or similar features to Mail?

Apple doesnt often announce new features/plans unless its a for sure thing, or right before launch. I have not heard of any of these features, but that does not mean they are not coming. We uninstalled obiee and installed it once again for some reason. I placed my repository in correct location, i created the data source with the same name. When i performed global consistency check for my repository it was showing me the warning ,
Warning: [39028] The features in Database " " do not match the defaults. This can cause query problem.
Also i'm unable to view data in the repository. But if i create a new connection pool i was able to view the data for that imported datasource alone, but the warning still remains the same.
I dont know where im going wrong, is there any configuration to be done? How can i set right this

click on Reverts to defaults and click OK and now check the consistency check..

Missing Features on Version 2.0

I tested the new version 2.0 but am still unsatisfied, since (imho) rudimentary features are missing. Please let me know, if the items in follwing list are really missing, or I just could not find them/ Execute them. And if so, how I gonna do it:
(All features are missing while working ON the iPhone/iPodTouch)
Calendar:
- add a private check in an appointment
- drag and drop an appointment in daily-view to a new time/date
Notes:

my "wish list" for future updates:
1) support for Flash
2) control over tones for Alerts in appointments.
3) a "go to" feature in the Calendar. It is a real pain to tap the arrow button numerous times when moving between many months or a year, etc.
my absolute favorite is Maps...the locate and search feature is awesome...even with the first gen. phone. although i have really gotten spoiled with the gps in 3g.
i did not know that copy and paste was supported pre 2.0

How to get informed about new features and version...

To manually check for new updates, you can click the Check Update option in the Help menu in the Skype software window. Then if there are new versions released and you want to know what new features are added in that release, you can check the Skype Blog's Garage section -
