Final Billing with downpayment clearing

Hi Friends,
Total Bill Value:- Rs. 3000/-
Down payment :-Rs 300/-(FAZ) -10% of Total bill value
1st Billing:-         Rs 1200/-(F2)-40% of Total bill value
Final Billing:-         Rs 1800/-(F2)-60% of Total bill value
When i create final billing , what will happen to Down payment amount Rs.300/- which i am paying more
      30012001800= 3300
so how to clear amount 300?is this amount replicate in Final billing?
Regards,
Amol

Hi
This question is laready answered.
While processing the Final invoice , the down payment made are transferred as down payments to be cleared.
Within Financial Accounting, the down payments are deducted from the reconcialiation account and entered in the standard reconciliation account.
The down payments for clearing then appears as open items for the customer and reduces the receiviable total.

  • Milestone Billing with DownPayment Clearing

    Hi folks,
I have a problem that the Downpayment made by the customer and posted through transaction F-29 is not being shown as the second line item (below the actual billing item). Actually as per the SAP documentation "those payments already made are taken into the billing document as items to be cleared. They are set as items, after the billing items to which they refer, in the billing document"....However in my case , this is not happening. The other alternative is clearing  the downpayment against the billing item through FI using F-39, which though works fine, is still a round-about way, hence can somebody help me with my problem. I'm sure somebody from you experts may have come across this problem. Pls note that all the settings in SD and FI as explained in the documentation ahve been done and are working fine, except the above feature.

This problem "was because in the Accounting settings of "Reconciliation accounts (A/R, A/P)" [OB14],  the sales order field was suppressed. After unhiding this field, it started working fine as this is the field whch forms the link between the Downpayment recieved in the Accounting to be affected as a subsequent line item in the Billing Document.

  • Progress Billing with Downpayment and Retention

    Hi SAP Gurus,
I just wanted to check if you have encountered a scenario wherein the purchase is billed progressively and that downpayments and retention are recognized for the purchase. For example:
    Total Contract Price: 9900000
    1. Downpayment (30%)                                           -  2,970,000.00
    2. First Progress Billing for 45% Accomplishment    - 2,673,000.00
        Value of Accomplishment           4,455,000.00
        Deductions
         10% Retention                       445,500.00
         30% Downpayment               1,336,500.00
         Subtotal                            1,782,000.00
    3. Second Progress Billing for 83% Accomplishment - 2,257,200.00
        Value of Accomplishment           8,217,000.00
        Deductions
         10% Retention                    821,700.00
         30% Downpayment               2,465,100.00
         1st Progress                    2,673,000.00
         Subtotal                         5,959,800.00
    And so on...
It is basically a scenario wherein the progress is based on the accomplishment and then the charges will be net of the downpayment and the retention. What I initially had in mind was to create the PO in 3 major segments, 1 PO item for the DP (30%), 1 PO item for the retention (10%) and the remaining 60% for the whole lot purchase.
Is there any other (better) way to go about this? I heard that there is a facility for downpayment and retention recognition via EHP4; however, I am not sure if it also accommodates mixing in progress billing.
Your responses will be most welcome.
    Best regards,
    DeLo

  • Item selection for account maintenance - Final Bill

    Hello,
In the yearly consumption incoice, items opened on customer account are automatically cleared with the invoice at the moment of invoice generation.
Customizing to fix what main transaction must be cleared and included in the invoice is under SAP Utilities>Invoicing>Invoicing processing>Item selection in invoicing> Item selection in account maintenance/Define Sub-items.
This is working quite well for normal consumption invoice but account maintenance is not working at all when i try to make a final bill with R43 clearing type.
Could you please indicate me if an special type of customizing is necessary to clear open items with final bill?
    Thanks in advance

  • Need help with final bill - where to turn?

This seems like a silly place to ask about a billing issue, but here goes.  My final bill with Verizon Wireless is messed up.  I need to communicate with someone other than Chat - been there, done that, no resolution.  Can a Verizon rep help me here?

Thanks for your reply in the Forum.  The account with the billing problem is (removed).
I have paid my Verizon bill through CenturyLink for years.  I terminated my Verizon service on 8/27, the end date of my contract, and had my cell number ported to AT&T.  The most recent bill from CenturyLink had no Verizon charges.  The prior month’s bill from CenturyLink was paid, including Verizon service to the end of July.
Last week I got a paper bill in the mail from Verizon for service for the period ending August 25.  Since I had not paid for August through CenturyLink, I sent Verizon a check for the billed amount, $35.47.
A couple of days later I got a second paper bill from Verizon saying I owed $3.55.  It looked to me that Verizon had processed the August bill through to CenturyLink, and then reversed that transaction.  The check I mailed is not shown on the second paper invoice, and has not posted to my checking account as of a few minutes ago.
At this point I have paid Verizon $35.47 for August service, but I have a bill from Verizon for $3.55.  Online at My Verizon the balance is $2.45.  I think I am square with Verizon and my account should be closed with a zero balance.
    Thanks.

  • Down Payment settlement Line is not appearing in the final Billing

    Hello All,
Activated the Milestone billing plan. Created a Sales order > Down payment Billing document > and cleared the Down payment billing document.
While trying to bill the final invoice the down payment settlement line is not appearing.
Please suggest us what would be the probable reason for this to resolve the issue.
Checked in detail and found in the table BSID the field sales document ( VBEL2) is populated with blank and not with the sales order number.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Madhan.

    Hi
When you create a final invoice the downpayment clearing line is retrieved using function
module SD_DOWNPAYMENT_READ. The function module will not be able to find the
downpayment if the VBEL2 and POSN2 fields are not filled.
If the downpayment is posted and cleared correctly in F-29 (this is the only way) these
fields will be filled and the document should be retrieved and the value transferred to the
    AZWR condition.
    Run VF01 with a breakpoint in SD_DOWNPAYMENT_READ
go to the end of the function module you will see the structure t_sdaccdpc
This is filled with all valid entries for clearing. I suspect in your case it is missing.
Try posting a new example in using F-29 make sure it shows cleared in the
document flow then check at this point above in the final invoice
    Hope this helps you further
    Kind regards
    Brian

  • Milestone billing with Partial Dispatch

    Scenario..
    1) The material we have is a large machine tool
    2) We create a sales order for stage wise payments and raise down-payment requests for the advance and various stages of manufacture.
    3) The M/c is assembled and checked for performance...
    4) Since the machine is of large size it is now dismantled and dispatches of parts of the m/c take place.
    5) We are not sure at the time of sales order as to what would be final configuration of the knocked down machine
    6) The machine is packed -- child material of various sub-assembles are clubbed together and a packing list is prepared..
    7) Delivery of these packs are made thru PS
    8) Now I want to bill this m/c with   70% of the payment to be realized at the time of dispatch..
However the 70% of the payment to be realized has to billed in 4-5 lots as per the delivery of the individual packs delivered.
How do I Do the final billing ??
    Kindly Help
    Regards
    Somnath

The billing plan for the sales order contains billing-relevant deadlines. As soon as you take away the billing block, you can carry out billing.
In billing those payments already made by the customer should be cleared. This happens because those payments already made are taken into the billing document as items to be cleared. They are set as items, after the billing items to which they refer, in the billing document. When printing (Report RVADIN01 with form RVINVOICE01) the customer receives for the down payment items the text ‘payments made’ printed out. The down payment item value corresponds to those down payments made.
There is no billing: Billing amount - Down payment amount = the remaining amount to be paid. The customer merely receives the information concerning which amount he can transport during payment.
You can change the proposed down payment amount for clearing manually. The reason for this can be that part of the down payment should be proposed for further billing. Calculation formula 48 in the pricing procedure for the condition type AZWR merely checks that the amount cannot be increased.
The down payments assigned to a billing document for clearing cause the system to offset all the completed payments against receivables in Financial Accounting (FI).
The total amount of the final invoice is automatically posted in FI as a receivable, and the allotted down payments are cleared directly (down payment clearing). The transaction is finished with the incoming payment posting and the open items are cleared. Postings made to the relevant general ledger account in Financial Accounting reduce the down payments left to be cleared.

  • Final bill is incorrect and being threatened with ...

I moved to PlusNet for broadband and phone in November. I paid my November bill, which actually left BT owing me money, and cancelled my direct debit. Good thing I did as they decided to keep charging me and now three months later are still chasing me for £50 I don’t owe them. I called every month as each new bill arrived to try and sort it but was assured each time to ignore the bill and it would be sorted out. It's now February and I am being threatened by email "We'll pass your details to a debt collection agency, which could affect your credit rating and any future credit." BT.
I have no more confidence in BT’s call centres now so I am emailing, tweeting and posting on forums to desperately try and get this sorted out. Please please can someone within BT answer me and finally give me some resolution?
All bill and phone call details below:
Broadband transfer date – 27th Nov
Telephone line transfer date – 12th Dec
Last paid Bill was on 21st Nov for the period 11th Nov to 10th Dec (You can see this over pays when both service are combined)
Dates called after receiving on-going incorrect monthly bills:
13th Dec at 13:44 – Told to ignore the incorrect bill and await a final one that I was assured would resolve the error.
12th Jan at 10:43 – This time I was transferred to Luke in the UK based Customer Options Team. I was told my phone line order was incorrectly left active so charges continued past the 12th Dec. Luke told me it would be fixed and back dated so the additional charges for phone and late payment charges removed. Told to await a corrected final bill.
26th Jan at 13:37 – Received a bill in the post still asking for £50 which included late payment charges and called BT customer service. I was assured this was still not my final bill and I would get a correct one soon.
19th Feb 19:52 – I received another bill electronically along with a threatening email. I immediately called customer service and was speaking to a customer representative when the line went to a ringing tone mid sentence. I was then greeted by an automated message saying that the office was now closed and to call back tomorrow. What an awful customer experience.

  • Anyone help with final bill?

I tranferred to plusnet in february using a mac code. Transfer of broadband and phone line went through as expected but BT customer help say the advice of transfer is still sitting at open on the BT system. Subsequently my bills from then include anomalous broadband  and phone rental charges. The latest BT advisor asked me to contact plusnet and have them resend the request. Plusnet say this isn't possible technically but they were aware of problems with the BT system not accepting mac codes properly earlier this year. They did provide access to system notes showing service transfer progression at their end.  I could forward these screen captures as pdfs to anyone with the authority to enter correct dates into the BT system. Hopefully this would autogenerate a more accurate bill? I've tried sorting this out by phone about five times since february and seem to be at an impasse. Any advice welcome.

I'm having the same problem with these a-holes. I've been trying to put it right for over six long months now . Disgraceful, deplorable rabble . They deliberately go out of their way to screw the private customer as that is the small change business ....the big bananas come from their Corporate Accounts ,who probably just pay whatever they're charged without question , as the money is coming from a bottomless pit/corporate account as opposed to a private account .
They tried the same ruse on me saying that the new provider had not done this, that and something else - and said that it was up to me to sort it all out . The new provider HAD in fact done everything correctly , it was the dopes at B.T. again.
Headless chickens . Left hand - right hand . They go out of their way to make simple things unneccesarily complex, call you a liar and basically do everything possible to make the problem worse . God only knows what little extras will be added to my final bill  BUT AS GOD IS MY WITNESS I WILL FIGHT THESE B#STARDS ALL THE WAY TO THE COURTS REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY "SHAVEN HEADED GEEZERS WITH TATTOOS, BIG BOOTS AND DODGY DOCUMENTS" they send.
what DO they get out of it ??????

  • VF11 wrongly created with RV Doc type and with not clear status.

    Hi All
Issue: There are 2 billing documents which were created(VF01) in March are canceled (VF11) in May. Cancel document is saved with a message (No automatic clearing of billing document XXXXXXXXX) and message diagnosis saying that u201CThe Automatic clearing of billing document and reversal is not possible. This may be, for example, because the line item update is deactivatedu201D
In the SD document flow cancel billing document is created and it's posted to accounting with Document type RV(which is not configured in the billing  types) and it is in not clear status.
2 Sales order types are ZNRC(No Rebate u2013 Credit)    second is ZCR (CM Req With Refer).
Order Type  : ZNRC , Billing type :ZG2, Cancel billing type :Z5, Accounting document in billing type for ZG2: is DG and accounting document in cancel billing type Z5 is :(_) blank.
Order type:  ZCR Billing type :G2, Cancel billing type :S2, Accounting document in billing type for G2: is DG and accounting document in cancel billing type S2 is :(_) blank.
FI document type Not maintained in the cancel billing type configuration because this should be determine by reversal document type DA which is maintained in DG document type from FI side. It will be triggered in VF11)
The above configuration is working with the order created VA01,billing VF01 and cancelling VF11 done in same period. If the order and billing done in old period and canceling(VF11) done in current period than FI document creating with RV document type and with not clear status in the document flow.
I reviewed similar issues with SAP Note and with below explanation:
"There are 2 procedures that are possible when Vf11 is posted.
Old Procedure - An FI "Reversal" document was created that was not connected with the orignal.
New Procedure - A Real FI reversal was carried out with clearing."
In this case, our system is following with new procedure except above mentioned orders created in previous period and and canceled in current period.
My Questions are: How the RV document is getting triggered here? why the cancel document (Reversal FI Doc) is not clearing?
         Appreciate your answers or suggestions.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sunil

    Thank you Ivano.
I referred SAP note 1259505 and 339928. But initially we thought of none of the symptoms mentioned in the SAP note are matching with our issue. Then we contacted SAP online support and they suggested checking one SAP note (Mentioned above).
Our system is following new cancellation procedure, but itu2019s failing only for some few documents.
Finally we identified several reasons for the issue. One is profitability segment in the billing document and cancelled document is different due to some changes in segment assignments. Another one is consolidation- consolidation document does not exist in the billing document list but it is getting created in Canceled document (VF11).(Consolidation postings are switched off some time back and now itu2019s on)
After some discussions it is decided to include accounting document type (Reversal) in cancel billing types to avoid default RV document type in canceled billing document accounting document. And non-cleared documents need to be created manually in F-32.
      Thread is closed.

  • Restrict security deposit release during final bill

    Hello,
As per our business requirement security deposit need not to be adjusted
with final bill. We have done the configuration as per following
screen shot. But security deposit still get adjusted during final bill
generation , please specify this configuration is correct or any
other configuration is required to achieve this requirement.
    Configuration path:
    SPRO->SAP utilities->Invoicing->Invoice Processing->Item selection in account maintenance/Define sub-item
And done the changes in both clearing type R42 & R43 as per below image

    Hi,
You should check the configuration in Open Item Management for "Specifications for Invoicing".
Make sure the Clearing Variant that is used doesn't have any explicit Clearing sequence for Main/Sub 0020/0010.
If theres no such explicit configuration, make an ABAP change in the FI-CA Event ISU_EVENT_R401 to explicitly exclude the held Security Deposit . Heres the documentation for this event:
    ISU_EVENT_R401
    Short Text
Event R401:Select CA Items for Account Maintenance/Credit Transfer Posting
    Functionality
Event R401 in IS-U invoicing selects the open items for account maintenance and transfer posting of credit. It is started in invoicing before the account maintenance modules are called.
    Tasks
    1. Selection (or preselection) of open items for account maintenance.
The open items made available in this function module are already made available in field XAKTP_401 (table TY_R401_FKKCL) with a propsal in accordance with the entries in table TE514 table TY_R401_FKKCL. You can overwrite this proposal.
    2. Activation of open items for transfer posting in credit/receivable consumption billing.
This enables, for example, items with a clearing restriction in invoicing to be repaid. The items made available in this function module already have a proposal in field XGUMB_401. This proposal is based on the specifications in table TE529 and can be overwritten.
    3. Deactivation of a statistical receivable without subsequent posting.
If you set the indicator XCLON_401, a statistical receivable can be cleared without subsequent posting, so that it is not longer requested. The items made available in this function module already have a proposal in the field XCLON_401 based on the specifications in table TE529. You can overwrite this proposal.
    Example
    1. In periodic invoicing the cash security deposit payments are to be released for settlement after a given period. If this period has not expired, you must set the indicator XAKTP_401 = ' ' in the relevant item.
    2. In periodic invoicing the cash security deposit payments are to be repaid after a given period (if applicable, the credit remaining after settlement). In this case you must set the indicator XGUMB_401 = 'X' in the relevant item. If the credit is not to be reposted, you leave this indicator blank.
    3. In final invoicing the open request for a cash security deposit is to be deactivated (cleared without subsequent posting). In this case you must set the indicator XCLON_401 = 'X' in the relevant item.

  • Moved a month ago, paid final bill, BILLED AGAIN!

    Hi,
We moved over a month ago, have our new service setup under a new account (all arranged by BT), paid the final bill on the 23rd April and now I am getting an email through saying I have not paid THIS months bill for our old landline.
It should have been cut off ages ago, someone at BT has gone serious wrong somewhere. I am not paying this poxy bill, you have to be kidding me.
My girlfriend is about to have a baby and I am not messing about with this, meanwhile you have charged a non-payment fee.
How many times do I have to tell you **bleep**ing people that we moved. I had long conversations in detail over the phone about our move, this is NOT the final bill as that was already cleared up last month.
What do I do here? Can a member of staff get this cleared up over the forum or something because I am not ringing BT India to get dicked around for something which is BT's problem and not mine.
    Thanks

  • Leaving bt, but what about final bill?

i am leaving bt next week only due to the cost of their product, not the quality. my BB finished on sept13 and was told by bt that i could then change provider when i liked as it would then be on a month to month basis (the broad band), just received my bill and it states that i am paying bb in advance until dec 3! when i finally switch over to new isp will i be refunded this money or do i need to cancel the direct debit b4 it is taken? i am also moving phone and was told that any monies owed will be deducted from my final bill and then refunded to my bank. is this correct?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi lgrenter
Yep what you have been told is right.  If the bills are produced quarterly then the broadband will continue to be billed three months in advance but if you decide to cancel the final bill will show charges up until the date your broadband stops and all advance payments will be refunded.
Shouldn't really matter if you are paying by direct debit or not the same process applies.
    hope that clears things up

  • Billing document not cleared when processing Payment cards in Sales order

    Hi,
I am having an issue with Payment card processing (credit card). We are using SAP R/3 4.7. When I use manual authorization, the status of billing document still shows "A" incomplete. The status shows authorization successful but not settled in billing document. The accounting document when billed shows not cleared. We are not using any interface for credit processing. The authorization check is done outside of the system manually. We are planning to use manual authorization for all such transactions. I am not sure if any specific config is to be done or am I misssing something.
Any inputs in this regard would highly be appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Sanjay

    Hello Sanjay,
Please also check to see if the field VBAP-ABFOR is filled for the line item (This is the Form of payment guarantee). Without this field filled the billing does not know that the item will be covered by payment cards.
VBAP-ABGES (Guaranteed (factor between 0 and 1)) should also be filled with 1.
    I hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    Ian Kehoe

  • Disconnecting Line and Final Bill

I had been a loyal Verizon Wireless customer since 2008. I
was on a share plan with my wife and my brother, and I would pay the bill each
month which was about $160 for the three of us each month. I never missed one
single payment. Well the 3 of us decided to switch to
US Cellular. My brother’s wife had already been there, and they had these new
phones for a penny and it was time as we’ve had these same phones for 5 years
almost now, we were out of contract, and I had a work discount through US Cellular. So.......
February 22, 2014 the three of us went over to US cellular
and started a new plan with new phones. My phone number and my brother’s phone
number switched without a problem. However, my wife, who’s number was from a
different region could not be switched, we needed to get her a new number.
After we switched, US Cellular told me to call Verizon the very next day (which
was February 23rd) and disconnect/deactivate my wife’s line because
that one would not happen automatically as they didn’t transfer her old number.
So on February 23rd, I did
just that. I called Verizon and they said we were disconnecting it and I’d get
the next bill and would have to pay that and should be done.
Well sure enough around March 1st, the next bill
came, and on it is the full balance of $160 due March 10th. I question this and
call Verizon again admitting I thought it would be a lesser amount. They instructed
me to look at the billing date. The cycle was from January 15th to
February 15th on the bill that is due by March 10th. Well
we switched phones on February 22nd, so it made sense to me that
this bill didn’t reflect the few days of February 16- 22nd but
rather the previous full month from January 15th up until February 15th.
So far so good, I just misunderstood the bill cycle date.
So I asked if I could just pay off the remaining amount and
be done with it all. I mean we’re in the beginning of March now and haven’t used
the phones since February 22nd, and they’re all disconnected now,
why not? They told me unfortunately no, I had to pay this whole bill first and
then wait for the next bill cycle to come available which wouldn’t happen until after
March 10th for that last billing cycle which would  reflect those few days of, Feb 16- Feb. 22nd.
The rep ensures me it will probably only be a few bucks per line for those 6-7
days or so.  I said that’s too bad I can’t
just pay the whole thing now but oh well; we’ll do it your way. I guess I’ll just
go online in a few days and pay it  and
then come the next bill cycle (which doesn’t go out until March 10th)
we’ll go online about that and pay the rest; just a few dollars per line.
The rep butts in, “yeah, about that sir, once you disconnect
the line, as you've done, you lose service to your online bill pay and accounts online so you
will have to call us to pay. I’m thinking aww man, another inconvenience, but
oh well, I’ll do what I have to do and call back twice to get these bills paid.
Well, a week later a couple days before March 10th
when the full $160 is due, I call and pay it (which took me forever on hold as
one of their centers was down). She apologized for the delay, took my payment,
and said when that last bill gets generated here in a few days (March 11th that shows usage from Feb 15th to March 15th, but will only reflect the few days I used the phones in that cycle which would be to the 22nd) I can just push pound
something something and pay the last bill through the automated phone system and be
    done. I said okay
Come now to March 22nd I get that final bill in
the mail. I expect it to be a few bucks per line as is it would only reflect
from February 15th to Feb 22nd when we disconnected our
lines.  But no, the bill is $120. That's almost
3/4 of the price of all three of our phones for an entire month.  I was thinking something must be wrong, unless they didn't prorate the bill in which case the whole month (which would be a rip off) would be $160 like usual but why all this confusion? I was hoping to just use the automated bill
pay via phone to pay for those 6 days in the last cycle and be done with it forever but no, now I have to call the
company AGAIN to figure out all of this. What happened next was a nightmare!
I called and spoke with a rep asking why the outrageous
price for just a few days of service on those lines. She puts me on hold and
looks into it. She comes back and says my wife’s line was never disconnected. I
said you have to be kidding me; I’ve called in to disconnect it initially and
then even called back w/ questions on how the last bill works and everything
after we disconnect the lines. You can even see that no data or minutes were ever used on
any of those 3 lines since Feb. 22nd. She answers, yes sir I see
that, let me place you back on hold. Okay I figure she’s going to check this
out.  She comes back again, well sir I
see you called a couple times  but I don’t see that you requested to disconnect your wife’s
line. WHAT?! I thought. Why else would I originally call? US Cellular was right and told me specifically told me to do this the very next day and I did! AND THEN I ALSO EVEN CALLED BACK LATER AFTER THE NEXT BILL CAME CONFIRMING ALL THE LINES WERE DISCONNECTED AND HAD QUESTIONS ON HOW I LEAVE VERIZON AND WHAT MY FINAL PAYMENT WOULD BE!   And why was my
account access to pay my bill online turned off (I did try to go online to see
if I could pay the last bill and I was no longer to go online) if my wife's line was never disconnected? This is getting
nuts. She placed me on hold again and returns, okay sir, this is what I’m going
to do. I’m going to suspend her line today and then you can call back tomorrow
to disconnect it.  Then you can pay off the last payment on the next bill cycle.
At this point my blood is boiling, was this a joke. I should
not have to call back again, this should have been disconnected weeks ago! and
you can see nothing has been used on those phones. I told her this is the last bill cycle and  I’m not calling
back and we need to get this disconnected today and that bill lowered to its
fair amount.  She places me on hold again
and comes back and tells me she had overridden something and got the line disconnected
today and she was going to take $40 off my phone bill.
At this point I’m like finally, but an hour later and now my
phone bill is $70 for the three phones that we used for 6 days!!  I said 6 days is about 1/5th of the
month. If our final bill is reflecting only the days of the month we used it
should be more like 1/5 the price of our original monthly bill which was $160. which would be more like $32, not $70. I had to explain some of the simple math to her and she
goes on to push about how the line was active and such, and I said but that
wasn’t my fault you didn’t disconnect it and this is not a fair final bill for
6 days of usage!!  She put me on hold yet
again and finally came back and said I’m going to take off another $40 from the
bill but it will need approval from my supervisor which will take 2 business
days. If and when she approves it, you will get the final bill in the mail for
the $120 minus an $85 credit. FINALLY!!!
I wasn’t even looking for something free, I just wanted a
fair final bill after I’ve taken the time to call to disconnect my wife’s line
and understand how the final bill works and everything. No one should have to
go through this and spend hours on the phone trying to understand how the
process works so you don’t get duped and then end up getting duped anyway and
having to spend more time to fix that. It was a big rip-off and extremely frustrating.
Telling me the line’s not disconnected but taking away online bill pay, and the
final bill itself was not only wrong, but it outright lied in certain spots.
Almost as though they were making up dollar amounts and dates. The bill cycle on the last bill said Feb 15th to March 15th but then under then under my wife's name there was the charge of $120 and the dates next to that said March 15th - April 15th!?!?! The phones haven't been used since Feb 22nd! Not simple at all and very confusing.  Make sure you’re carefully monitoring your
bills when leaving Verizon Wireless. Needless to say, I’m never going back to
them so I won’t have to worry about this again. I just hope this new paper bill that shows the credit gets to my mail box before it's due date of 04/10 so I don't get a late charge. I was assured it would. I hope the CSR is telling the truth this time for once. I have faith in the last one I spoke with. I'm hoping she doesn't let me down too like everyone before her so far has.

Leaving is quite simple via porting out. As you noted when two of the lines ported successfully. However I can see no valid reason why the wifes number could not be ported out. There are porting laws in place. But on to the rest.
If your monthly service runs as you are saying "The cycle was from January 15th to February 15th on the bill that is due by March 10th".
That would be incorrect. If your monthly bill is from lets say January 15 through February 14 then your payment on the account is always that last day. (February 14th.) The next new billing cycle is now February 15th through March 14 again the bill closing date is the day the invoice must be paid. All three lines since they were ported on February 22nd. still must be paid in full (2 ported & 1 not ported). There is no prorating in this case. Now in regards to the bill closing date again would next be March 15, 2014 through April 14, 2014. Since the wife's phone was not closed the only device should be just that line and no other. The other lines are paid up through March 14, 2014 so there should be no further charges.
Some where along the line folks must remember to terminate service (port) a few days BEFORE the next bill comes due. remember we pay in advance.
    Good Luck
