Financial Reporting Batch Scheduler Error - EPM 11.1.2.1

Hi,
I just downloaded, installed and configured 11.1.2.1 on a test server. Defaults were used and all products have been configured to run on the same database (SQL Server). Mostly everything seems to be working, but when I try to open up "Batch Scheduler", I get an error:
Code: 0
Description: ; nested exception is:
com.hyperion.reporting.util.HyperionReportException: ; nested exception is:
*java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: [FMWGEN][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Invalid object name 'FR_SCHEDULER_DATA'.*
I click on "OK" and I'm in the Batch Scheduler window, but then when I schedule a batch, and click on "Finish", I get a Warning "A member must be provided for the Prompt":
Code: 2021
Description: A Member must be provided for the Prompt
The scheduled batch does not show up in the Batch Scheduler window though.
Any ideas on how I would go about rectifying this error?

Hi,
I just realized that I was connecting to an instance of SQL Server running 2000. Redid the deployment against SQL Server 2008 and everything's working fine now.

Now i am getting below information when i ran the scheduled batch.

I have already set JAVA_HOME setting to JDK path and updated in the "PATH" variable.

Financial Reporting Batch Scheduler Failed To Send Email To Users. Version 11.1.2.1

Created a batch and scheduled the report from Workspace to run. Scheduled batch ran successful but the Email is not generated for the user though we have provided the valid email address.
Is this is known issue?

Hi. Check your software configuration to ensure email integration is set up.

Exporting scheduled financial report batches with LCM

Hi folks. Running 11.1.1.3 EPM here.
I'm trying to use LCM to export scheduled Financial Reporting batches. When I am in Shared Services under Reporting and Analysis, under the Scheduled Objects drilldown, I don't see any scheduled objects yet I have about 200 FR batch reports scheduled on my dev server.
Am I looking in the wrong place to export these or is there another way?

Sorry I wan't aware the folder structure was different in 11.1.2. I found this on the LCM admin guide:
Default value: This parameter is commented out and the Lifecycle Management engine uses the default file system location on the Shared Services computer; for example:
MIDDLEWARE_HOME/user_projects/epmsystem1/import_export/username@ProviderName.
Do you see it now?

Financial Reporting Batch error

Hello,
I am trying to create a new financial reporting document for batching, it allows me to select a report but after selecting the report if i press finish i get an error
An error occurred processing the result from the server
"Required application module reporting.batch is not configured"
any solution for this.

Workspace batch scheduler error

We just upgraded to EPM 11.1.2.1. This morning, a user scheduled a couple of new batches in Workspace to run FR reports. Those batches were hung at 'Running' and never officially completed but now I'm getting this generic error message every time I try to go into the Batch Scheduler:

java.lang.NullPointerException
I can not see any of the previously created batches (the screen is blank). I have already restarted all the services and the same error appears. Is there a way to clear out all the batches that it may be holding on to? Anyone else come across this problem?

Access the Hyperion database BI+ repository. In table FR_SCHEDULER_DATA update the row with Column STATE='4' from a '4' value to value '3'

Financial Report/Batch report deletion by mistake

Hello Gurus,
We seemed to have deleted one of the Financial Reports and one batch report from the Workspace folder.
Is there any way to check and see if it is stored in some place in the hyperion directory.

A financial report is stored in both the RAF relational repository and within the RAF data directory, when you delete the report it will be removed from both these locations.

Financial Reporting batch reports run slow at random

FR reports version: 11.1.2.1
This is a summary of our environment:
-Linux server where Hyperion batch reports run
-Linux (SLES-11) server where Essbase resides
-Windows 2008 server where Hyperion Print Service and GhostScript reside
This is what we observed this morning:
Batch reports are executed serially by a master shell script.
One of these reports takes 30+ minutes to complete. The exact same report usually completes in less than 3 minutes.
This problem occurs 3 to 5 times each morning, and not necessarily on the same report.
While the report shows ‘Running’ in the Hyperion Batch Scheduler, there is no process present on reports server. There is no active session on Essbase. There is no active print process on the print server.
Eventually, the report completes successfully and the pdf file is present on reports server.
We haven’t been able to determine where the process is during the period that it appears to be stuck. The best we can do is to look at the status on the Batch Scheduler. It is not a practical option for us to schedule everything using the Batch Scheduler on a daily basis.(this is what Oracle is suggesting, by the way).
Has anybody experienced similar FR batch reports slowness?

how to over come this error.

The System 9 Installation & Configuration Troubleshooting Guide says to run the following CMD file and then reboot:

Hyperion Financial Reports Studio - Activex error 429

Greetings Everyone,
I have recently installed Hyperion Financial Reports Studio 11.1.2.1 on a 64 bit Windows 7 machine using the standalone installer (FinancialReportingStudio.exe)
After the install, when attempting to launch the client we get the classic run-time error 429 for active x.
I've had this problem before in previous engagements, and the solution was to run the config utility on the computer and the error would then go away. The problem is that the standalone installer does not seem to setup/install the configuration utility on the client PC.
Any suggestions on how to solve the problem? Already tried running the HRrunant.bat and that didn't help.

Good to hear the issue is resolved ...
However the update you gave contradicts the first update you gave when you started the thread...that it was a 32 bit machine (client)

FInancial reports Export Import error

Hi,
I am exporting Financial reports from version 11.1.1.3 and importing into version 11.1.2.1 with the help of workspace.
Now after exporting some folder. It starting gives following error.
Code: 2108 The object requested: [] does not exist in the repository hyperion workspace.
Can anybody aware of these error.

Financial Report Template- Calculation error

I have developed a template for Profit and Loss Statement by using
Financial report Template
Under operating expenses heading i am having following heads
F&B consumption
Non-F&B Consumption
Gas Fuel ...
Operating Expenses value i am getting is wrong due to the following reason
F&B consumption calculates ( F&B consumption= F&B Opening Stock+ F&B
Purchase- F&B Closing Stock)
I need to add a formula to find F&B Consumption that is coming under F&B
Consumption head
Non-F&B consumption calculates (Non- F&B consumption= Non-F&B Opening
Stock+ Non-F&B Purchase- Non-F&B Closing Stock)
I need to add a formula to find Non-F&B Consumption that is coming under
Non-F&B Consumption head
For calculation from the system
In the present calculation the Operating expenses is derived by adding
the closing stock value as just an other expense head instead of
subtracting the same and also by ignoring the subtotal which actually
refers to the calculation (Consumption=Opening stock+Purchase-Closing Stock)
Calculation Expecting
We need the Operating expenses to either consider the subtotals to add
for the expenditure or the closing stock value needs to be reduced from
the Expenses.
Please help to solve the issue

This error usually means the workspace agent is not up and running or can't be connected, are you sure that workspace is definitely up and running and you can log into workspace.

Could not connect to server : Server name
please make sure that the server is running as specified in the logon dialog(including port number if not default)

Financial Reporting batch runs without being scheduled when services restart

Hi,
hopefully someone may have come across this before:
I set up a scheduled batch yesterday (workspace 11.1.1.1.3) pointing at a batch of 2 large reports. As part of the testing I ran it at a scheduled time during the day and it worked perfectly. However the following morning it ran the batch again even though there was nothing in the scheduler (and I checked the scheduled job and it still said last run time 14:29 the previous day). However the snapshots that it produces had been updated overnight. One thing to add is that we shutdown all the Hyperion Services (to allow for a system backup) and they had just come up when the reports ran (could see the batch request in the FR log). Is there a way of stopping this from happening i.e. some setting/config I need to change?
