Finder 10810 Error but no Terminal access

Hi guys,
When my iMac boots up OSX loads but I am unable to load any programs - clicking on the dock does nothing. If I then click on the Finder then I get "The application Finder can't be opened - 10810". I am able to then open SOME apps using the Application folder in the Dock to load them, but Finder remains at the front so I am unable to type commands into Terminal, iTunes or anywhere else that it is suggested in other threads I should try and resolve the 10810 error.
Any suggestions?! I can do literally nothing on the iMac now.

I'm having the same problem. I tried booting into "single user" mode (command s, I believe), and got a command line interface, and couldn't figure out anything to do. Is safe mode different? I also booted from the Snow Leopard disk, ran Disk Utility, and the disk was fine (didn't need repair) and I ran the Repair permissions routine also. Then booted up regularly, and same problem. Sometimes I can get into one application before it locks up, not allowing me to open any other apps or files, and hangs if I try to exit the application. Have to hard reboot.
Any ideas? This is evidently a widespread problem in 10.6.5 and 10.6.6. No mention on the main Apple site or in the press, but all over the forums.

Finder 10810 Error?

So I've been having this problem for a few weeks, where after I turn on my Macbook Pro, after about 5 or so minutes, everything just stops working. Say if I have iTunes open, I can see it, but I can't click on it. I can't play anything.. it's like it doesn't know it's there. Same goes for everything but Safari. It's the only program I can always use. And when I try to open programs that I hadn't opened before the big collapse, they just won't budge.
Also, when these errors start occurring, if I try to open Finder, it gives me the infamous 10810 error code. I've looked many places on how to fix this, but never could find a direct, spot on answer/solution.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Login to another User account and see if it does it there. Also, boot from your install DVD and run from there for a half hour testing mouse movement. If you have the same problems there, you might have a thermal hardware issue.

Restoring phone, need to switch off Find My iphone, but can't access phone

Whilst updating IOS7 my phone crashed. I reset it and successfully managed to restore to backup. Everything was working fine until it asked for a passcode. I entered the last passcode I was using but it won't accept it. I've tried to restore again however iTunes is telling me that Find my iPhone needs to be switched off before it will do the restore, and this is done via the settings on the phone - which I can't access because I don't know the passcode.

The Find My iPhone app has nothing to do with this. Deleting the Find My iPhone app which is used to find another iOS device or Mac computer you own or for someone else to find their iPhone or iOS device with your iPhone does not turn off Find My iPhone with your iCloud account settings on your iPhone.

If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.

Could not find file ERROR while connecting to access (mdb) file

I am getting the following error while connecting to the database:

Got the solution.
The statement:
ResultSet rs=st.executeQuery("select * from Database1.Employee");
should be changed as:
ResultSet rs=st.executeQuery("select * from Employee");
Now, it is working fine.

Actionscript compiler finds an error but doesn't say so!

Hi! I just spent about an hour very frustrated, because
suddenly Flash was ignoring 100% of my actionscript. At first I
thought I was having a bug like
these
people, but I soon realised it would still show compiler errors
if iI introduced any typos into my script...
Long story short, I discovered my code would still compile if
I commented out some of my actionscript, and I tracked it down to a
single line: I had accidentally written
var endPt:Point = new Point(curX+=xOff,curY+=yOff);
A silly mistake, I simply wasn't paying attention..
the problem is, neither was the compiler?? I received NO
Compiler Error messages, Output window messages, absolutely no
feedback from flash at all, just a complete absence of ActionScript
in my SWF. It took me a while to realise it was an "invisible"
compiler error that was giving me an SWF without actionscript in
it. The debugger obviously wouldn't help me either since there was
no AS to connect to.
Why was the compiler unable to tell me what line it found a
problem on? Why would it not even tell me it had found a problem,
just silently running my SWF instead?

Unfortunately, I have to admit, you're right, I can't get it
to happen in a fresh file either. But in my old file, commenting
out that line made it work fine, and leaving that line uncommented
would mean the debugger would tell me "You cannot debug this SWF
because it does not contain ActionScript."
So if the line isn't an error, why was it causing the
compiler to abandon all actionscript in the file..?

External Hard Drives and Finder 10810 error code

Whenever I plug a Hard drive my imac via any type of cable( usb, FW400, FW800) after a while it will freeze the finder up and I will have to relaunch the finder. Then all the icons on the desktop will disappear and then I will have to either unplug the hard drive( without properly ejecting it) or reboot the mac. Is it the mac software, or is it the hard drives, or a corrupt file on the hard drive. I have tried reformatting the hard drive and wiping my macbook clean. I am running the latest version of Snow leopard. I constantly update all my software. What can I do to fix this problem??

HT1923 Reinstalling iTunes, but unable to delete C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\. I have admin status, but I get an error saying "Destination Folder Access Denied"

Following instruction to reinstall iTunes, uninstalled iTunes and related components, verified all deleted. Need to delete C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\ manually, but am getting and error that says "Destination Folder Access Denied". I do have admin status on my user account. What's next? Many of the files in these directories are Mobile Me and iCloud, should I uninstall those too?

I have the same problem and it looks like others do too. I have spent far too much time trying to find a solution but nothing has worked so far.
Does "end windows explorer for the processing menu" mean to end explorer.exe in the processes window in Windows Task Manager? Does "start new task" means File-New Task in Windows Task Manager? If so, the solution does not work for me.
Any other suggestions would be deeply appreciated.

AHT finds logic board error, but computer working fine

I ran the Apple Hardware Test to see the profile for my RAM, but 7 seconds into the test it stopped and reported a logic board error.
1. But my computer is working fine. If anyone has experience with this, I'll gladly take your advice. Do I ignore this error at my own risk? Or should I get it looked at now in case it's an early warning of something that can get worse? For the real Apple tech experts, here's the error code: 2I2C/1/1: 0x00000092.
Eleven months ago, I had to get a new power supply installed. It was covered under the extended warranty for power issues with iMac G5s. As I've indicated, it's been working fine since then.
2. Once AHT finds an error, it won't continue testing the remaining components. Does anyone know of a way to "force" the AHT to skip the logic board test and go on to test the other hardware items?

Michael, pray tell, where does one find the published list of codes you refer to? I searched the whole internet (or so it seemed like it) looking for a resource like that. Are you an AASP?
Even my experienced Apple technician and his AASP contacts didn't realize that my error code relates to the European Union. (And, BTW, I'm in Canada and I purchased my iMac from a store in Canada.) You have solved a mystery!
The strange thing is that when I phoned Apple Tech Support and asked to speak to a product specialist, even they told me that the code means "logic board needs replacement." When I asked to speak to a higher dept., I was connected to Customer Relations (very nice, professional fellow answered). When I explained that this G5 iMac has been problematic for me (failure after 7 mos. of ownership, power supply failure after 3 yrs, etc.) he offered me $100.00 off a new iMac ($125.00 in Canada), which I accepted.
I did use TechTool Pro to check the computer. It found no problems. Four months later and it's still going strong. I don't know whether to be upset with Apple for not bothering to look up the code, or whether I should look at this as a blessing in disguise (how else would I have received $125.00 off a new iMac? And now, my father gets a G5 that I can confidently say is in good working order). And it's strange that my local tech's AASP friends weren't any wiser. Aren't AASPs privy to this error code info? A mystery indeed...

The auto recovery dat should be in the Microsoft User Data folder in your documents folder, not in the Library. However, I Haven't had to look recently.

Your Apple ID still exists with the most recent password that you used. You can use it to erase your iPad. Read this.

None of these issues are causing the error in DW CS6. We have double checked all of them and we have everything exactly right. Also I have exactly the same SiteSetup in DW CS4 and that works perfectly well. Could there must be factor in 6 that didn't exist in 4? Something that isnt in the SiteSetup but in some hidden dialog box ?
I can also upload to my host using Fetch, a third party FTP. And as I said DW CS4 works fine. So the problem is not with my host, its with DW CS6 in particular.

Thank you Jon, that fixed it perfectly. You have saved me from going crazy. The only difference I see now is in "Server Name" it changed what I had entered (my ftp address) to "Remote Server"; which seems odd -- but it works! Although I know there maybe also some other dialog box I have never seen
Of course I saw that menu item "Import" and but I thought thats obviously not for me: "Why would I want to import an entire website?". I did not however see "Export the selected site" for thats only a tiny icon in the footer. However I would have thought the same: "Why would I want to export my entire website?".
An observation: I've seen this problem in a lot of Adobe software, the menu-names of items are obscure, non descriptive. What would be better would be for the menu names or popups to say "Export Site Setup settings" and "Import Site Setup settings"

If you have transferred or Downloaded iPad Apps on your Mac you will find them in iTunes on your Mac....
Open iTunes and in iTunes on left hand corner where Music is return you should see a drop down button next to it and once you click on that drop down button you will see Movies/Tv Shows/Applications, you need to select Applications here and you will find all your downloaded iPad Applications. And as they are made only for iOs devices that cannot be run on your Mac.
