Finding commits in plsql during runtime

Hi,
In any application, we will have many commit statements issued in many places. How can we find out as to where all commits have happened during runtime.
Basically in our application, when am trying an operation, am getting the error ORA-01086: savepoint <save point name> never established.
My guess is that there is a commit somewhere because of which system is not able to rollback to that save point.
So I would like to find out where is commit is issued.
Is there any way to find this.
Thanks in Advance.

  • Finding java home directory during runtime

    Hello dear all,
    My problem is that i need to locate the java home directory dynamically during the runtime
    of my application in order to use the /bin/jar tool.
    Can you please provide me some help?
    Thanks in advance,
    Artemakis

    The different OS's all have a facility (usually called environment variables) that contains OS parameters. If you place the location of the java home directory in one of the parameters it can be retrieved from within a Java program. An example entry would be JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_01 (in Windows)
    The method to do this varies by version. Java 5 has a method in the System class, getenv(JAVA_HOME) that does this.
    Earlier versions must pass the parameter name and value in at JVM startup, then the value can be retrieved by a java statement.
    // This passes it in
    java -DJAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_01 <yourClass>
    // This retrieves it
    System.getProperty(JAVA_HOME);

  • How do I create multiple objects during runtime?

    I don't know how to create multiple objects during runtime, here's my problem:
    I get a String as input. Then I create an object called newobject. I put the object in a hashtable with the above string as key.
    Then comes the problem, in order to create a new object, I have to rerun the same class, which uses the same name (newobject) to create a 2nd object. Now my hashtable doesn't reference to my 1st object anymore...
    Is there anyway I can fill up the hashtable with different objects, and make each key point to each object it was supposed to?
    For those who want to see a bit of the program:
    public class PlayBalloon{
    public Hashtable ht = new Hashtable();
    for(){
    Balloon pB = newBalloon;
    newBalloon=new Balloon(pB);
    ht.put("Some input from user", newBalloon);
    for(){
    ht.get(s).draw;<= s=string, draw=own meth. in Balloon
    }

    I think i can see the problem that you are having. You have, in effect, duplicate keys in your hashtable - ie, two strings used as keys with the same name.
    The way that a hashtable works is as follows...
    When you ask for a value that is mapped to a key it will go through the table and return the first occurence it finds of the key you asked for. It does this by using the equals() method of whatever object the key is (in your case it is a String).
    If you cant use different Strings for your keys in your hashtable then i would consider writing an ObjectNameKey class which contains the String value that you are trying to put in the hashtable and an occurrence number/index or something to make it unique. Remember to override the equals method in your ObjectNameKey object or else the hash lookup will not work. For example
    class ObjectNameKey {
        private String name;
        private int occurence;
        public ObjectNameKey(String name, int occ) {
            this.name = name;
            this.occurence = occ;
        public String getName() {
            return name;
        public String getOccur() {
            return occurence;
        public boolean equals(Object o) {
            if (!(o instanceof ObjectNameKey)) {
                return false;
            ObjectNameKey onk = (ObjectNameKey)o;
            if (onk.getName().equals(name) && onk.getOccur() == occurence) return true;
            return false;

  • How do I put strings, which I get during runtime, in a Ring-item? And how to open a Frontpanel of a SubVI by pushing a Button in the MainVI during runtime?

    I'm very new to LabVIEW and every day I learn such a lot about LabVIEW. I did not find any example according to my problem, but I don't know how to do the following :
    In the MainVI I read different strings from file in an array (In the example below I defined them as constants. The example only shows how the frontpanels should look like).
    During a loop I calculate different values, which will be written in an array, too, and in every loop the array of values will be overwritten with the new calculated values. (string[i] belongs to value[i])
    Now, by pushing the button 'sub' during runtime, I want to op
    en the Frontpanel of a SubVI, on which you see a Ring and a numeric Indicator. Now, I want to show the strings I read in the MainVI as items in the Ring-menu. If I choose one of the items (strings) in the Ring-menu during runtime, I want to show the accordant value, which was calculated in the MainVI, in the numeric Indicator, and in every loop the new calculated value should be shown in this Indicator automatically.
    So I have two questions:
    1. How do I put the strings into the Ring-menu during runtime?
    2. How to open a SubVI-Frontpanel during runtime, and how to pass the calculated values to it?
    Every answer I accept with thanks!

    See the atttached vis :
    1/ Pass the string array to the sub-vi, then use a property node to replace the ring node strings
    2a/ From the subvi front panel window, rightclick on the icon, and select "Show connector". Define the connections
    2b/Set the sub vi properties (right click on the vi icon, select "VI properties... >> Window appearance..." go to "customize...", and checkmark the "Show front panel when called" item).
    3/ your main vi should run 2 separate loops in order to avoid that reading the data stops the aquisition process (if any !..), or the reverse situation.
    You should read the LV manual to find out how to create a sub-vi : there are a number a basic things to learn and to memorize...

  • Changing type of process during runtime

    hi to all/Mike/Antony
    is there anyway to change a sync process to async during runtime?
    thnx in advance
    KAM

    hi
    sorry for making confusion by putting a (little) wrong question because of being in a hurry...
    it was supposed to be that " is there anyway to change the type of the process from async to sync after executing the process"
    i m sorry for taking ur time by putting a wrong question!
    actually i made a sync process of "HelloWorld " but mistakenly declared its type as "async" and it did not generate the required output, because it was an async process and i was treating it as a sync one!
    thanks for ur interest. i'll write, as i find the solution.

  • Is it possible to add/change a ViewContainerUIElement during runtime?

    Hi all,
    i want to add/change the content of a ViewContainerUIElement (VCUI) during runtime, but it doesn't work as expected (or hoped;). What i got working so far for an <b>already exising</b> VCUI is:
    1. Find the IWDViewContainerInfo for the VCUI
    2. If no default view usage exists, create an embedded view usage and set is as default.
    3. Set the component usage to the IWDComponentUsageInfo requested.
    4. Set the view to the IWDViewUsageInfo of the interface view, which should be the content of the VCUI.
    This doesn't work, if it's done after the wdDoInit()s of the controller hierarchy has been processed. The component, which is represented by the usage, is deleted and recreated, but the visual representation doesn't get updated (e.g. no changes on the display) if it's done in an action handler for example. Why? If i change the component usage (cloned component usage) nothing happens too.
    Even more problems arise, if i try to add a new VCUI. The steps are pretty the same as before, what is done additionally (and prior the steps above) is:
    1. Creating a IWDViewContainerInfo from the IWDViewInfo of the "parent" view.
    2. Creating a IWDViewContainerAssignmentInfo from the view usage of the "parent" view
    3. Setting the created IWDViewContainerInfo as view container in the assignment.
    4. Create the VCUI, set the view container name to the name of the created IWDViewContainerInfo and add the VCUI to an arbitrary container in the parent view.
    But this doesn't work, i'm getting:
    java.lang.NullPointerException
         at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientimpl.html.uielib.standard.uradapter.ViewContainerUIElementAdapter.getContent(ViewContainerUIElementAdapter.java:98)
    What is wrong? What am i missing?
    Thanks in advance.
    Stefan

    Hi,
    I had the same problem with
    "java.lang.NullPointerException at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientimpl.html.uielib.standard.uradapter.ViewContainerUIElementAdapter.getContent(ViewContainerUIElementAdapter.java:98)"
    when I included ViewUsages dynamically in an action handler (outside wdDoInit()).
    The code below fixed that problem.
    This code creates a new OutboundPlug for the embedding view with the embedded view as target and fires the plug.
    <i>// Create OutboundPlug
    IWDOutboundPlugInfo outboundPlug = embedderViewInfo.createOutboundPlug();
    //Create navigation link
    rootViewUsage.createNavigationTarget(outboundPlug.getName(), interfaceViewUsage, "Default");
    // fire navigation link
    wdThis.wdGetAPI().firePlug(outboundPlug, Collections.EMPTY_MAP);
    </i>
    I hope I could help you. Probably you don't need the information anymore, but perhaps anybody else has the same problem.

  • Trigger a job based on a job that will be created during runtime

    I searched sdn and I did not find any threads addressing my issue(Trigger JOB B after a JOB A which will not be available untill runtime).
    My Req:
    I have a where in, a JOB 'A' will trigger to execute a BDC session in program A using a SUBMIT ...RETURN statement.
    I will have to trigger a different job 'B' using program B, the moment the 1st job runs completed.
    I thought this would be possible, by handling the events and trigger the FM in program A after the SUBMIT statement. But the problem is SUBMIT statement would just create the job and return the control back to the program A and immediately call the FM to raise the EVENT. In this case, my job B will trigger and even complete before JOB A could complete successfully.
    I tried using AFTER JOB option in SM36 instead of AFTER EVENT. The problem with this option is, JOB A will be available ONLY during runtime and hence cannot schedule program B with the option AFTER JOB.
    Any thoughts are highly appreciated.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Enhancement not visible during runtime

    Dear experts,

The complete code-block is missing. It seems that the enhancements are not active and are just not embedded during runtime. Do I have to activate something else? I guess CMOD and SMOD are not relevant in this case but if they are please let me know.
    Thanks in advance
    William

    if you are usng enhancement framework then there is no need of CMOD/SMOD.
    where have you created your enhancement spots? and what type have you given there?
    goto SE19 and see what actually is the status of the enhancement .. if active, keep breakpoint directly inside your enhancement coding,
    when FM starts executing, you will find a circular swirl(just on the left side of the code ), that mean it will goto your enhancement. it wont direcly show in the deugger, you press F5 and then it will go inside your code.

  • Subclass instance not created during runtime

    Hi Experts,
    For an existing standard class a subclass was created and during runtime the me object reference points to the subclass name there by allowing the subclass additional/custom methods to be triggered.
    We have done service pack upgrade in the system and during runtime I find the subclass does not exist in the me object reference due to which the custom code in the subclass is not being called.
    How do I fix the above issue so that and subclass instance is created by the superclass during runtime?

    Hello Srinivas,
    I had put a breakpoint to debug in the subclass which was being invoked.
    In the new system where the service pack has been applied I have put breakpoint in the same method but the subclass method is not being called.
    The superclass method is being called. I'm sure after facing this problem(and solving it, of course) you'll have a better understanding of the 'polymorphic' behaviour of objects
    if the subclass inherits superclass the instance will be created automatically?
    NO!!!
    You must understand none of us has a crystal ball where we can gaze & find out the solution. If you want valuable responses please provide as much info as possible.
    BR,
    Suhas

    In which system you are facing this problem?
    If it is Developement system then do the following steps and then try again.
    1. In your interface mapping remove the message mapping first and then activate the interface mapping.
    2. Do some dummy change in your message mapping or rename the message mapping by copying it and activate it.
    3. Now use this message mapping in your interface mapping and activate IM.
    If it doesn't work delete all objects and recreate them. (or may be rename them ).
    One more important thing... Check your Interface Determination and make sure the outbound & inbound message interfaces are exactly same as used in Interface Mapping.

  • "Calculated UME LDAP id is null" error received during runtime.

    Hello All,
    I am new to this community and this is my first post.
    Therefore please pardon me for providing inadequate explanation/resources while mentioning my problem.
    I am trying to build a SOAP webservice in SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.3. This webservice will be used for integration between SAP user management  (AS Java)  with Dell's Quest Identity Management (Q1IM).
    The webservice will be used for
    Fetching
    -> All UME Users
    -> All UME Groups
    -> All UME Roles
    Add/Delete
    -> User to/from Group
    -> User to/from Role
    Change
    -> User Account Details
    The current scenario is the webservice built in Java is ready and all the functional components are working fine during runtime except for one and that is when I try to retrieve all the UME Users.
    Below mentioned piece of code is for getAllUser function
        public  SAPUser[] getAllUsers() throws UMException {
        IUserFactory userFactory = UMFactory.getUserFactory();
        IUserSearchFilter searchFilter = userFactory.getUserSearchFilter();
        searchFilter.setDisplayName("*", ISearchAttribute.LIKE_OPERATOR, false);
        ISearchResult searchResult = userFactory.searchUsers(searchFilter);
        ArrayList<SAPUser> ar = new ArrayList<SAPUser>();
        while (searchResult.hasNext())
        String uniqueid = searchResult.next().toString();
        if (uniqueid.startsWith("USER.PRIVATE_DATASOURCE.un"))
            IUser user = userFactory.getUser(uniqueid);
            IUserAccount[] userAcc = user.getUserAccounts();
            for (int i = 0; i<userAcc.length;i++)
            ar.add(new SAPUser(userAcc[i]));
        SAPUser[] users = new SAPUser[ar.size()];
      return ar.toArray(users);
    Similar logic have been used for Groups and Roles and they are working fine.
    During runtime it gives following error
    Web service returned error. Fault Code: "(http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/)Server" Fault String: "Calculated UME LDAP id is null"
    (Screenshot has also been attached)
    I tried searching for a solution on internet and specially on SAP SCN but couldn't come across any suitable option.
    Thereby my request to member-experts of this forum to please look into my matter mentioned above and provide some appropriate solution for it.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Tanuj Jaitly

    Hi Soumya,
    Thanks for the valuable suggestion.
    Now I have another situation and this I would like to share with you and other experts in this forum.
    Apart from above scenario I was trying to fetch all the LDAP users as well, but due to large number of employees in my organization I received Connection Time Out. We thus changed our requirement.
    We now want to display those LDAP users which have UME roles and groups associated with their accounts. In other words LDAP users who can login to SAP Java portal to access their roles and groups.
    From UME API as getLastSuccessfulLogonDate()  and getPreviousSuccessfulLogonDate() are already deprecated I am unable to find any concrete solution.
    Request to please help. Thanks in advance.

  • A question about how to change a button in a JPanel during runtime

    I am a beginner of GUI. Now I am trying to change a specific component, a button, when the application is running. For example, I have 3 buttons in a JPanel. Each button has its onw icon. If I click one of them, it will change its icon, but the other two don't change. I don't know if there is any method for changing a specific component during runtime. If any one knows please let me know, I will appreciate that very much!!!

    What you're going to have to do is loop inside the actionlistener but still have accessability to click while its looping. I don't know much about it, but I think you're going to need a thread. Try something like this... (it doesn't work yet, but I have to take off)
    import java.awt.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    import java.awt.event.*;
    class buttonxdemo extends JFrame implements ActionListener{
      Buttonx mybutton;
      //set it all up, make it look pretty  =]
      public buttonxdemo()
           mybutton = new Buttonx("default");
           getContentPane().add(mybutton.thebutton);
           mybutton.thebutton.addActionListener(this);
           this.setDefaultCloseOperation(3);
           this.setSize(200,200);
      public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent ae){
        if (ae.getSource() == mybutton.thebutton)
             if (mybutton.keepGoing)
               mybutton.keepGoing = false;
                else if (!mybutton.keepGoing)
                     mybutton.keepGoing = true;
          mybutton = new Buttonx(/*Icon,*/"My Button");
          //getContentPane().remove(mybutton);
          //getContentPane().add(mybutton.thebutton);
          mybutton.startstop();
      }//actionperformed
      static void main(String args[])
           new buttonxdemo().show();
    } //movingicondemo
    class Buttonx extends Thread{
      public boolean keepGoing;
      //public Icon ICx;            //perhaps an array, so you can loop through?
      public String strbuttonx;
      public JButton thebutton;     //may have to extend JFrame?
      public Buttonx(/*Icon IC,*/ String strbutton){
        //ICx = IC;
        strbuttonx = strbutton;
        thebutton = new JButton(strbuttonx);
      public void startstop()
        int i = 0;
        while (keepGoing)
          thebutton.setLabel(strbuttonx.substring(0,i));
          //if an array of Icons ICx
          //thebutton.setIcon(ICx);
    i++;
    if (i > strbuttonx.length() - 1)
    i = 0;
    try
         Thread.sleep(1000);

    }//startstop()

  • How to determine the target system during runtime of a Generic DS?

    Hi Experts, good afternoon.
    I am coding a Generic Extractor using Function Module. I have to select the field TIMESTAMP on table ROOSPRMSC. To do so, I need the value of RLOGSYS that is the BW system that is calling the Extractor.
    Do anybody knows how to determine via ABAP the RLOGSYS (Remote Logical System) during the runtime of the Generic DataSource Function Module?
    The table ROOSPRMSC keep the TIMESTAMPs values of the last delta upload for each DataSource and for each BW target system. As I have 2 BW's loading data from the same SAP ECC system, I need to know, during runtime of my Generic DataSource, the actual system that is requesting the delta. That's the reason why I need to know the BW's logical system name that is "runnig" the delta InfoPackage.
    Plese, help!!!
    Thanks in advance!
    Leandro Vani

    Leandro,
    The calling program of your FM should have a local variable I_RLOGSYS which is populated with the BW server ID.
    If you don't know how to access a variable in a program that is in call stack using field symbols, search SDN.
    I haven't tested this, so you may have to explore a little.
    Good luck.

  • How to pass the Bound values to VO SQL Query during runtime?

    Hi all,
    I have the following sql query;
    SELECT NOTIFICATION_ID
    FROM xx_NOTIFICATION_V
    WHERE COMPANY = NVL(:1, COMPANY)
    AND INITIATOR = NVL(:2,INITIATOR)
    AND PAYGROUP = NVL(:3, PAYGROUP)
    AND SOURCE = NVL(:4, SOURCE)
    AND SUPPLIER_NAME = NVL(:5,SUPPLIER_NAME)
    AND TRX_DATE BETWEEN NVL(:6,TRX_DATE)
    AND NVL(:7,TRX_DATE)
    If i click GO button on search page then it pass the selected Poplists values as a Bound values to VO Sql query at runtime after this I store the search results in a Table(Which is created by using New Region Wizard).
    I want to pass the Bind parameter values to VO SQL query during runtime and :1,:2,:3,:4,:5,:6,:7 values are coming from Poplists.
    I search through forum I found many threads regarding Bind Values but those all are passing ID's only not String(Varchar) values.
    How to pass the Character values to VO Query.
    Please anyone help me on this.
    Thanks in Advance.
