Fiori - Generic Approval App

Hi everybody,
today my boss asked me if there is a generic approval app in Fiori.
I replied that there are several apps available to approve different requests:
Approve Leave Requests
Approve Travel Requests
Approve Travel Expenses
Approve Timesheets
So my boss argued that he wants a single app for all approval tasks. In the SAP Portal we have the UWL (Universal Work List) that meets this requirement (using NWBC an Inbox POWL can be used for the same purpose).
Is there a Fiori app that can be used for all kind of approval tasks? Will such an app be available in future?

Hi Thomas, not going to be a definite answer to your question but my understanding is that Fiori provides a solution for some 'common processes' which have been identified by SAP working closely with some of their clients. As such, I don't think it is there to provide a generic solution for approval - we are talking more about a custom UI5 application which replicates approval functionality available in UWL and which can be embedded into NWBC.
Having said that, I recall seeing a Fiori presentation where it mentioned that Fiori can be enhanced to deal with any custom workflow - maybe a workflow needs to be defined with all the approval steps required and this mapped to fiori?

Getting an Error while trying to Approve Requisition in SAP Fiori PR Approval App

Hi Experts,
We have followed all the instructions given in the installation/configuration of SAP Fiori PR APPROVAL APP. While approving the PR from Lunchpad we are getting the following error.
ERROR :"RFC Error : Internal program error; (SAPMSSY1 ZCL_IM_ME_PROCESS_REQ_CTSD====CP 1 CBRC_EXIT_47_PURREQ)"
2) I have put a debugger in the USER_EXIT : "CBRC_EXIT_47_PURREQ" and checked that the value of SY_UCOM is initial and when i store the value "MESAVE" and run through debugging i am able to approve the PR. I want to get rid of this Debugging mode and run the PR APP from Launchpad properly without error.
Attached are the three screenshots for more referenece.
Kindly help me with the same.

Fiori - PO Approval App error

Dear All Friends,
I am trying to implement the standard PO Approval app and getting below error , Need your advice to sort this matter out.
Error :

Fiori Leave Approval App - Scenario Defenition Error

When I execute the Leave approval service in browser I get the below error, maintained the scenario definition settings as per the installation guide, my service pack level is Fiori SP03, so all the relevant, mandatory notes are applied.
Could you suggest anything else that I have missed out. attached the screenshot in scenario defn.
Check the URL parameters and the scenario definition. To check the scenario definition, go to customizing for SAP NetWeaver Gateway and choose SAP NetWeaver -> Gateway Service Enablement -> Content -> Task Gateway Service -> Scenario Definition.

The scenario ID should be LEAVEREQUESTAPPROVAL. Please double check the installation guide.

I think you use old UI.

Download PO approval app Issue

Hi All,
While downloading the PO approval app from /UI5/UI5_REPOSITORY_LOAD i am not able to download index,main and maindetails view and the resource folder is also empty.
is there any another way to download or help out to replace this file.

There is no index.html. Component.js is used.

FIORI Leave Approval Scenario Definition Error

Hi,
I have implemented a leave approval before. That was working fine. Now I'm implementing another leave approval on a different server (embedded deployment also). I followed the same configurations for scenario definition and system alias. But I'm still having this error.

Are you implementing old UI? Please use new one..
Important Note: Please use new UI with new SAP Fiori launchpad
Only Approve Requests app uses scenario definition customizing. Other approval apps read workitems from backend application tables.

Fiori : Mass Approval

Hi,
Is Mass Approval possible for Approval apps in Fiori ?
I see we have Mass Action field in Scenario definition . If i check it, how can we enable Mass approval in Fiori ?
Any other solution, please highlight

Mass approval is not released in UI side.
Users can use quick approval by side sliding in tablet.
From business process point of view, mass approval is not a best practice.
When user do mass approval, approves never check details and it means blind approval.
If it is the case, workflow engine can set approval based on business rules and send workitems which really need to be checked. It reduce workload for managers.

Error while creating a task for creating an generic task /app/dac/CustomSQ

I have created a sql file in DAC server /app/dac/CustomSQLs/ ,just to fire an update sql in database
In DAC task tab i have created a task with the following:
Command for incremental load :/app/dac/CustomSQLs/DBNameBeforeLoad.sql
Primary source :flatfileconnection
target source:DBCONNECTION_OLAP
Execution type:SQL FILE
Task phase:GENERAL
I created subject area and assembled ,then created a Execution plan.
When i try to execute this EP ,it shows the following error in DAC log:

Does my above configuration is correct ..?

verify the following settings:
1. mapping of ECC plant and storage location and logical system number with the appropriate availability group code since this links the stock types in EWM to ECC org elements (SPRO -> EWM -> Interfaces -> ERP Integration -> Goods movement)
2. ensure the availability group configuration is correct (SPRO -> EWM -> GR Process -> Configure availability group for putaway) - check all applicable nodes in this configuration since the availability group code is assigned in the pertinent storage types

Fiori Wave 8 Apps in the HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC)

Hi everyone,
I am currently in a project, where we have to install the Fiori Wave 8 Apps in a HEC landscape. Unfortuneatly I have only experience with installing Fiori on an On-Premise System. Are there any guys out there, who have allready installed Fiori Apps in the HANA Enterprise Cloud and could provide some Best Practises or could help me answer the following question:
Does an installation works in the same way like on an On-Premise System?
In my understanding a private system infrastructure in the HEC is nothing else, than an On-Premise-System hosted in the cloud or am I wrong?
Any knowledge would help me a lot.

I personally haven't installed Fiori, but I would agree with your own conclusion in the question.
Installation on HEC should be the same process as on-premise (which is the experience you already have), it just happens to be in an SAP data center, and not a customer data center.

Yes, I do the steps that you tell me. I follow the Migration Guide offers by SAP.
I check the DO GENERIC_SYNC_C2S and GENERIC_SYNC_S2C and it was OK.
I check the destination and it was OK.
I check the new entries in corresponding tables, and it was OK.
When I sync, I can see in "Client Communication Session Monitoring", inside Seesion Information, one line of type Post Messages and it have a message of data object GENERIC_SYNC_C2S. But if I select "Go to message monitoring" it haven´t nothing.
But in message monitoring i can´t see the data object GENERIC_SYNC_C2S or GENERIC_SYNC_S2C
Any idea please?

Fiori Timesheet Approval

Hi Friends,
In timesheet approval app, is there a possibility where manager can reject timesheet in one go for the entire week, rather than clicking on each line item for rejection.
In one of the project, where business enters time to multiple items according to projects which they are working and the current process followed here is to reject the complete timesheet of entire week, rather than respective day or line item.
Right now, we need to click on individual line for rejection and which client doesn't want and they wanted one time rejection for entire week.
Is it possible to customize the approval screen.
Please advice.

Hi Srikanth,
As per the current design the default is approve and for Rejection you need to click on the entry which you have to reject and select a rejection reason. This was done for faster approvals since rejections is not the most common scenario.
we are in process of coming up with a new design for partially selecting some entries for Rejecetion.
For the time being the only work around would be to create a new view to replace the current view using the extensibility concept.

Yes, went through the help documentation and reached the Analytical apps documentation.
Above screenshot is on the Analytical deployment option ,where we get to see the KPI Framework setup with the HANA XS Engine setup.If i am not wrong the Analytical apps and the SAP Smart Business apps share the setup of HANA XS engine and KPI Framework only (in Smart Business Apps).
So would like to confirm if the below installation link steps remain the same for SAP Smart Business apps too!

Fiori PO Approval requirement

So I want to use Fiori PO approval but my PO approval workflow is custom. I can assign a task id to Fiori, but what are the requirements for this task? It doesn't say in the documentation but surely this task has to follow some standard interface right?

Found the answer by myself. According to SAP you have to replicate the container of the standard task.

Approach to create a generic Approval process using SOA human workflow ?

Hello Experts,
I'm looking to create a generic approval process using oracle soa human workflow component using JDev 11.1.1.5
Have about 7-8 existing applications which do some kind of 'approval' . So need to create a generic solution for all 7-8 applications, instead of users logging into 7-8 different applications to approve by logging into different systems. Just want to have like a 'one stop shop' , where i can just go and approve for any application without having to log into separate applications.
I'm looking to get some suggestions and ideas, on how I can achieve this functionality ... Any suggestions/ideas are appreciated .
