Firefox error in droplist selection

My users browse Firefox for viewing my OBIEE dashboards.
When they select the droplist controls (column selector, view selector, etc'), it sometimes fail to get the event of selection:
For example, assuming view selector:
The user select some choice in the droplist.
The droplist is collapsed\closed and the displayed value is changed, but the view itself remain the same.
Only after the user select other value the view is replaced.
Then the user can reselect his origin desired value and the view is replaced.
This phenomena was taken place on few machines with Windows 7 but not on machine with Winodows XP (so far).

It happens in Firefox sometimes..
You need to wait until whole report is refreshed and stable(you'll see "Done" left bottom of browser), than try to select any other value from your drop down...

Try
Reboot the computer, see if that fixes it.
Then try:
Backup your files off the computer (not TimeMachine) and disconnect
Hold c boot off the 10.6 disk and simply reinstalling OS X
Log in and update to 10.6.8
c boot off the 10.6 disk again and use Disk Utility >Repair Disk
reboot and all should be fine, except some third party programs that install kext files, those will have to be reinstalled from fresh sources.

Maimum we can give the error message length is 50 char. If you give more than that it will get truncated.
What you can do this split 50 and 50 like that you can give 200 chnars.
Data : Text1 type char50
Text2 type char50
If sy-surc ne 0.

Hi, I am getting this error wile doing Reclassification of HFM Movement.
Error msg, "Maximum selection does not contain value 9999999999 of subassignment HFM CD2 & Asset Type "
in the Data Monitor, ( in Reclass Net Reserve). While running BCF task for a company for period 16/2009
Actually, We have converted the consolidation area from XX(2009) to YY(2010).
Before this task, user has performed the balance carry forward.
My Analysis is as follows:-

After TEST run in UCMON, the error message comes :-
The "HFM CD2 & Asset Type value 9999999999" is not maintained in Breakdown Categories Y500, Y700 etc.

Maintained as "OPTIONAL, Initialized value allowed".

Yes, the single selection is 1A, 1B etc, I agree that including this default value 9999999999 in single selection will resolve this issue, but the BREAK DOWN TYPE is OPTIONAL, that means It will also consider a blank value, right?
Also, In the method defined for RECLASSIFICATION in workbench, in the TARGET parameters, the" HFM CD2 and Asset Type" is blank but the "DEFAULT is TICKED" which makes it a mandatory derivation rule.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
Your replies on it are highly appreciated.

Error joining the selected airport network?

I'm trying to connect to my linksys wireless using WPA with a powerbook but no luck. My password which I know is correct (it's working on another G4 and my wife's Gateway. I get the following message when selected my network. "There was an error joining the selected airport network". I can connect via a neighbor's unprotected network, so airport is working. Other times I've tried it says password is incorrect.

Wi-Fi Protected Access networks normally require a plain-text password or passphrase. But in rare cases you may have to enter a string of 64 delightful hexadecimal characters.
The HEX password is derived from the plaintext password therefore you shouldn't need to create anything new. Check the linksys router for the HEX version of your plaintext password.
The AirPort interface doesn't welcome this wonderful practice by default (imagine that), but it's buried in there for when you need it. Just hold down the Option key while choosing your network from the AirPort menu, then you'll be set to enter all 64 of those easy-to-remember characters.

Your format-codes are wrong and sometimes missing.
Please try this:
select add_months(to_date('31-MAR-'||to_char( to_date('31-MAR-2011','DD-MON-YYYY'),'YYYY'),'DD-MON-YYYY'),-12) from dual;I did correct it, but it is not nice code. Why do you use the same constant value (31-MAR) twice? The second is only for extracting the year. You could do the same with this:
select add_months(to_date('31-MAR-2011','DD-MON-YYYY'),-12) from dual;Keep in mind: There is a dependency of the setting of NLS_DATE_LANGUAGE in this code. NLS_DATE_LANGUAGE should be english for you code.
For example if NLS_DATE_LANGUAGE is GERMAN the code for march will be 'MRZ' instead of 'MAR'.
The following code would be language independent:

I used Progress Indicator befor running this query and after this query also. But still It's giving me TIME-OUT error in this select query only.
I run the same query for 10 records in IT_BKPF1 table, it runs perfectly. But when I run it for 1000 records it giving dump.
And in actual bussiness my records are always more than 100 only.
I also check the indexing. It having secondary indexing on this BUKRS, AUGDT, AUGBL fields. Then also it's giving error.
so, How can I solve this dump..?? What could be the reason..??

Try to provide BELNR and GJAHR in where condition...
BKPF-DBBLG ==> BSAK-BELNR
Also check
BKPF-BLDAT ==> BSAK-AUGDT
Check out above relation...
If data is there in these fields of the table and both are matching then you can pass it and as they are in primary key of BSAK it will improve the performance...

It needs a Note implementaion. I got similar problem in version BIW 7 and SP 11. We got the solution with on of the note . I am not able to recollect the note number.

Just see following thing
1. Try to extract data in R/3 in RSA3 transaction.If it is working correctly no issue
2. If RSA3 throw issue check the definition of your code and try to debug it.
3. If RSA3 is fine check your Infopackage selection settings if it is ok or there is any error,If there is any selection try to remove it and load data.

In place of R/3 system you have to consider BW itself when you are reading the note.

Error in data selection of Infopackage

Hi,
My infopackage is failing with "Error in data selection". RSM 340 is the error message number.
Datasoucre: 0FI_AP_4
I have checked
1. Timestamp--consistent
2.Reactivated and replicated datasource
3.Checked SM58 in both BW and source systems and found it OK
I have taken Source jobs for 1 succesfull infopackage run and 1 unsucessfull infopackage run.
I see that Job log for unsucessfull has no call to customer enhancement and no data selection is done thereby.
i am attaching the job logs for 1 successful and 1 unsuccessful case. Please check and let me know the gap that is contributing to this error.

Error in multi-select LOV in Portal Report parameter

Hi,
I have a Report from SQL Query that currently has a combo-box parameter that's linked to an LOV. Now the client requires for this parameter to be a multiple select instead of a combo box.
I changed the LOV display to multiple select in Customization Form Display Options, and I changed the where clause of the query to this:
AND CASE WHEN (SUBSTR (pav.name, INSTR (pav.name, '.')-1, 1) BETWEEN '0' AND '9')

It works when I select only one value in the LOV, but gets the following errors when I select more than one:

Follow Up:
After some discussions with Steven I tried to move some stuff around. Eventually I found out that if the ViewObjects on which these two table-blocks are based are built on different Entity Objects, then the application works as desired.
So the conclusion seems to be: it is not a good idea to have - probably in the same UIModel - multiple Iterators based on ViewObjects that are based on the same EntityObject.
Note: this is only a work-around: I still do not know exactly what goes wrong and why! It can be in JHeadstart runtime (not so likely), in ADB Binding Layer (very likely) and potentially in ADF BC (quite unlikely).

Throwing error msg in selection screen

Hi all,
I want to throw one error message in selection screen .
This message is of more than 1000 chars. and i want to show these 1000 chars in a pop up window and when i press 'TICK' mark, it should stay only in the selection screen . It should not go to the output screen and it should not leave the transaction either..
Can anyone help me in this by providing the coding for this..

Hi Shanthi,
Your requirement is fulfilled by standard SAP message processing. Through message maintenance (TCode SE91), you define a message with a long text.
Let us say the message class is ZSHANTHI and the message number is 025. Besides the message short text you defined say 'Something wrong with &. Refer Long Text', un-check the checkk-box 'Self Explanatory', choose this message number and click on 'Long Text' button on the application toolbar. You will get long text editor and you can compose your 1000 lines or even 1000 pages story there.
Now let us see what you need to do in the report program. Your requirement is 'Issue the error message. When user hits Tick, display long text in a modal window and later stay in the same selection screen'.
You just issue this message in AT SELECTION-SCREEN event as:
MESSAGE e025(ZSHANTHI) WITH 'requirement'.
The error message will display on the status bar and when user hits the message X button, the long text with your story will appear in a modal box and still selection screen stays.
If your client is adamant in having only 'Tick' mark (this sucks me), you can add DISPLAY LIKE 'S' addition to the above message statement. But this addition works only 4.7 upwards.
If you want to issue this error message in list processing events like START-OF-SELECTION, then, you need to issue the following statements:
MESSAGE s025(ZSHANTHI) WITH 'still weird requirement'.
Note the message type 'S' above.
LEAVE LIST-PROCESSING.

Transfer Purchase Order - Error message "Field selection ZTR not defined"

Hi all,
I've customized a new transfer purchase order type : TRA.
When I go to ME21N and choose TRA type, SAP displays this error message :
"Field selection ZTR not defined
Message no. ME028
The field selection required by the system is not defined in table 162.
Further processing is currently not possible."
How can I fix that please ?

Check in IMG - MM - Purchasing - Purchase order -define screen layout - Check any field selction ZTR has been configured. And also check in Purchasing - purchase order - define document types - your PO doc type has reference to field selection group ZTR - if yes change it..
