Firefox gave me a warning about a site and I set an exception. The site that was warned against has asked me for a screenshot, but I can't find how to remove the exception in order to replicate the warning message. How do I remove the exception?

The site was JustCloud.com, and it wasn't every page that triggered the warning. I've looked through Options: Security, Advanced, etc., and can't find access to the stored exception in order to remove it. Below is the URL of one page that triggered it:

How did Firefox showed that warning?
Was the a pop-up on a sliding bar at the top of the browser page or a message on the web page?
Do you remember any content of that message?
Was it about a certificate (secure connection)?
Rename the file "permissions.sqlite" to permissions.sqlite.sav in the Firefox Profile Folder to remove all exceptions (cookies, images, pop-ups, software).
If renaming didn't help then you can undo and rename the file permissions.sqlite.sav to permissions.sqlite to get back the old exceptions.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

Please update Firefox to the latest version via "Help > About Firefox" or "Help > Check for Updates"

Adobe Reader for iOS doesn't set the default email address when you email a PDF.
It's found in the Settings app:
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Mail > Default Account

Tom is right, BUT! ...the newest version of Compressor (41.) allows you to do just THAT! ...to export custom sizes.
It's easy. And... once you set it up, you can export DIRECTLY from FCPX, provided you've saved / added this scheme as a "destination" in the FCPX app.

I'm saturating the microphone on my Lenovo W510 but I can't find how to lessen the sensitivity

I found that I 'could' modify the settings depending on how the recording program was invoked.
What happened during testing was that the gtk-recordMyDesktop GUI recordings didn't exhibit clipped loud speaking while the recordmydesktop command-line interface results were always clipped. From that, I surmised there is a default setting to each that caused the problem or overcame the problem of clipped loud speaking (i.e., the horrid sound of overdriven amplifiers).

In addition, I installed the Gnome AlSA mixer (ALSA === Advanced Linux Sound Architecture).
$ sudo yum --enablerepo=linuxtech-release install gnome-alsamixer
And, I'm currently playing with its settings - which seem to favorabley affect the horrid clipping effect.

How do I set the default page when I select "+" for a new tab? Right now it defaults to Yahoo search and I want to set it to my Speed Dial page. I did have the default page set to Speed Dial but I can't find anywhere how I did it in the past.

You can set the homepage for opening tabs, but I can't find the setting for designating what page opens when I hit the + button on tabs.

Firefox '''does not''' come with a setting for a page that opens in a new Tab, the default installation always opens a blank page when you open a new Tab. Many extensions include a feature to open their choice of a webpage when you open a new tab, as does the Speed Dial extension which uses a "local page" internal to Firefox.
You need to figure out which extension has taken over that preference that Speed Dial needs to use. You didn't bother providing a Troubleshooting Information... listing as requested when you asked this question, but I can guess your problem is related wither a Yahoo extension or a Conduit / OurToolbar extension - as there is a plugin listed = Package Installer & Install Conduit.

The iPod backup that iTunes makes does not inlcuded synced media like apps and music. Thes those iTunes are not restored to the iPod unless they are in the iTunes library.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

When I attempt to open firefox an error message appears telling me that firefox is already running, but I can't find it running. How do I do so or in any case close the already running Firefox process?

When I attempt to open Firefox instead of Firefox opening, an error message appears saying "Firefox is already running but isn't responding. To open another window please close the existing Firefox process or restart the system.", but I can't find that process of Firefox in order to kill it, and after restarting the system there is still the problem. I have found an emergency fix to at least get online, and that is to use"Firefox_Profile_Manager" in the start menu's "run" start menu, but the
Firefox that then opens is that one doesn't carry over what I had in my bookmarks but starts bookmarks anew.

Sounds like it is hanging when you exit and later try to restart Firefox.

I want to change the file location for the automatic backup file bookmarks.file, but I can't find browser.bookmarks.file in the list on the about:config page.

The browser.bookmarks.file preference does not exist by default. Right-click in about:config and select "New > String" to create it.

There is no live chat anymore, it was stopped for now to increase emphasis on the forums.
To update Firefox, you will simply need to click on Help on the menu bar on the top of your screen (Where it says File, Edit, View, etc), then go to "About Firefox". Then click "Apply Update" after it finishes downloading. Your Firefox will restart, and you'll be up to date :)
