Firefox isn't functioning correctly

Since updating to Firefox 23.1 (whatever the latest is) Firefox just wont function correctly. The add-on manager doesn't load correctly and states that my system requirements aren't met for firefox, yet it certainly does and has worked previously before.
I have uninstalled, deleted remanets and reinstalled firefox numerous times to the same effect. I have also done the same with Java, believing this was causing the problem.
At the moment I am just buggered? No idea why firefox wont work correctly?

Can you try reinstalling 23.0 to see whether that works? This would help in determining whether it's something specific to the .1 release or whether it's a coincidence.
Generally speaking, you shouldn't lose any personal data in this process, but it never hurts to make a backup of your profile folder(s) before dropping down a version.

My brand new iPod Touch 4th Generation, just isn't functioning correctly.

Recently, I bought a brand new iPod 4th gen. Since, it has gone haywire and refuses to function correctly. It is 16 gb and operating on iOS 6.0.1. On many apps, especially games, it can get really laggy at times, for no discernable reason. I have very few apps installed, and a great internet connection, so I can't understand why that would occur. Also, Safari is absolutely useless. When opened, under any circumstances, It goes to a default white screen:
Then it can do NOTHING else. Upon further inspection, this seems to happen to a couple default apps. Such as:
-Calendar
-Maps
-Mail
After about 20 seconds of blankness, it then force-closes to the home screen. In addition, Game Center has become a pain in the butt; it just won't leave me alone. Anytime I try to open a game with internet capabilities (ie.Vector,The Sandbox, etc.), it pops up wanting me to sign in, yet it wont work. When I try to sign in, it never works the first time. I have to home-screen, then click the app again to open it up to the same page, before it even shows the keyboard, not to mention, at this screen, the keyboard is horizontal (landscape) while the rest of the screen is vertical (portrait). From this point, signing in does nothing, it will bring up the buffering circle and spin for about 10 minutes, before promptly force closing. I can't get out of that screen either, when it comes up asking for my log in, the cancel button becomes absolutely worthless, it does nothing. I've disabled Game Center's notification and changed it's capabilities, but it STILL comes up when I try to eneter a game. The only way around it is to completely TURN OFF my Wi-Fi. Thus rendering a lot of in-game content worthless. Lastly, sometimes the Game Center opens Safari, but since it doesn't do anything, I have no idea what to do. Home-screening does not work, as less than a second later, Safari opens again, and again, and again. The only way to stop this annoying cycle, is to completely SHUT-OFF my iPod.The iPod is only a little over a week old, and it ****** me off that I already want to put it down the disposal.

Firefox isn't working correctly with ebay completed items

I sell on ebay. When I go to search for anything, then choose "completed items", there is a light blue box on the left that takes up over 1/4 of the screen width and the entire length of the page. If I try and scroll down, it switches to the right side and covers all of the category lists and photos. I've rebooted my computer, cleared cache/history, have the most recent versions of adobe reader and java and i have firefox 7.0.1. i tried the same thing using explorer and it works correctly. i called ebay and they don't have the problem on their end. i don't know what else to do to stop this problem. it just started today. the box is completely blank, no way to close it out. tammy parker

Firefox does not function correctly when validating payments with HSBC bank

When HSBC bank security is invoked by a website within an inline page the confirmed page is presented within the inline subpage in such a way that one cannot continue with the transaction confirmation, consequently the payment verification fails. Google chrome, safari and explorer do not suffer from this problem. It makes using my favourite browser impossible whenever I need to security verify any payment on a number of websites.

That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar or the Babylon extension that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links and buttons in that part of the screen not clickable.

Keyboard isn't functioning correctly, can't get into my computer

Hi there. A few days ago my keyboard started acting very strange. For example, when I push 'D', nothing happens. If I push it 5 times, a bunch of random letters show up. I stupidly shut my computer down and when I turned it on again of course I had to enter my password. Well, this is impossible since my keyboard doesn't really work. My question is...Is there a way that I can see my password as I'm typing it instead of the dots? That way I can figure it out. Thanks!

Do you have a wired keyboard you can use or borrow as I think you will need one to get the BT keyboard re-connected? Any wired USB keyboard should do for this.

Nomad Jukebox 3 CarMode isn't functioning correct

It works when I use it in a short while. Such as like. I turned it on, by doing what I call a "Battery Reset". I'll explain what that is later. When I turn the car off, it will do the ShutDown mode, and then when I turn it back on within 5~0 minutes, it will reboot when it regains power. But when I keep it shutdown from the turnoff for more than 0 minutes, I have to do a "Battery Reset".
A "Battery Reset" is when I take both batteries out, and then put them back in, to get the player to reboot.
Is it because I have 2 batteries, that it's giving me this problem? I have a PSP Car Charger, which uses 5Vs; same as the regular charger.
(I had to use the Jukebox's charging unit to charge my PSP, when Sony's POS charger failed on me. I gotta say, Creative did a kick-ass job making it.)
Anyway. I can just turn the Jukebox on manually, but that defeats the purpose of Car Mode.
I have the firmware that was released in 2003. Is there a more later firmware than that one?

I have similar problems and it is very disappointing. I have just tried to start using the Jukebox3 it in my car and it really is kind of worthless at the moment. I have found the following:
) With the battery installed in car mode it shuts down properly. When I turn the car on again it locks up and like you I have to remove/reseat the battery to get it to turn on again. I have found that if I turn my key to the ACC position and pause for a second the player doesn't seem to lockup but it is not feasible to remember this every time.
2) If I remove the battery I don't have any lockups but the player doesn't store the current playlist (I guess it uses the last one used when the battery was installed). So, if I turn off the car for a second I have to reselect the music I was playing. Rediculous.
What a waste the "car kit" has turned out to be. I can't see any way around these problems. I have the latest firmware. Did Creative actually test the player with the car kit in an actual car?

TS2634 iPad Smart Cover sleep mode isn't functioning when top lid is closed, iPad still on.

Smart Cover isn't functioning correctly. When lid is in place I can still see my iPad on with screen light. No click sound after lid is place also. I have remove the Smart Cover and fitted it to my iPad but still Smart Cover sleep mode is not working.

Go to Settings>General and make sure the switch to iPad Smart Cover On/Off is set to On.

I believe my firefox is viewing some websites on my laptop in formats that are used for cellular devices. Sites like facebook, sports illustrated, yahoo are not functioning correctly but certain sites work fine.

I believes its somehow set itself into the same format used for cellular devices... My JSU.edu page says somethin about it being in (portal mode). It is also a different format now that normal.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP ENVY TouchSmart 17 Notebook PC and a keys not functioning correctly. Here is a document on cleaning the keyboard.
I would start with air on the keys as sometimes debris can cause this issue.
Here is a link to uninstall the keyboard. In the device manager have you uninstall all that is listed in keyboards, restart the computer after uninstalling, it should reinstall automatically and resolve any issues with the keyboard.

Spry Menu Issues - Not functioning correctly in Microsoft IE

I am fairly new to web design and dreamweaver.
I have constructed a simple page that I am happy with complete with Spry Menu which again I am happy with. However this spry menu works perfectly in firefox but for some reason on IE my spry menu does not function correctly and goes all over my page!

THE CONFLICT IS BETWEEN YOUR DOCUMENT CSS AND THE SPRY CSS.
It is because the <li> and <a> TAGS have been styled and therefore OVERRIDDEN THE SPRY CSS.
Use CLASS TAGS e.g. <li class="anyclass"> and <a class="anyclass">
and STOP USING THE <a> TAGS.
N.b. you may need to unstyle any <a> or other TAGS that conflict with the SPRY CSS. (However it's best to start over knowing that styling basic tags may affect the SPRY CSS).

Audio NOT functioning correctly after botched bluetooth headset pair attemp

After trying to connect my bluetooth headset (Motorola HS820) to my Macbook Pro i am having issues with several apps including firefox and mediacentral. Audio from these programs will not play. I get an error message saying there was a problem with my bluetooth audio configuration.. However apps like itunes and skype function correctly..
When attempting to pair my bluetooth headset the bluetooth assistant pairs it succesfully but when it connects it immediately disconnects.. after several attempts at tricking it to connect (advice from posts in mac.com forums) i have given up and deleted these devices from my bluetooth preferences and still have these problems..
I'm assuming there is some config file still in place pointing these apps in the wrong direction?

ICal not functioning correctly

First of all, I have been using Entourage which I sync with iCal so that I can sync my calendar with my iPhone. I would like to discontinue using Entourage but for some reason, iCal is not functioning correctly. First, the calendars do not appear in the left hand window and I cannot seem to figure out how to get them to appear.
Second, when iCal opens off of the dock, there is nothing showing on the calendar at all. When I change the view (i.e., month, to week) then all of my scheduled events appear. When I go back to the original view, everything appears. When I attempt to sync with MobileMe, I get a message at the website that "a script is not responding." I don't know whether the two are related or not.
Any help?????

I have the same problems. Also, I can't enter a "multi day' event, the system tells me there is a fault and it cannot synch. I was automatically updated to MobileMe, but the system isn't performing as promised.

N96 Telephone Service Not Functioning Correctly

Good evening folks,
Now, I've had this problem for as long as I've had an N96. TWO N96's in fact, as my first was replaced by Nokia due to the screen-slide connection malfunctioning. Both have been fully firmware updated and restored on multiple occasions in an attempt to fix the problem.
The telephone service on the handset has the habit of not functioning correctly, like the service has hanged or just doesn't respond.
For example, I find a contacts name in contacts, press the green key to show their contact numbers, and green again on the number I wish to call- nothing happens, other than the available numbers disappear and you return to the regular contacts view. This is what would normally happen anyway, only you'd have an outgoing call happening over it and showing the "telephone" screen.
Or, example two, in a text message I chose Options > Call > Voice Call and press the select or middle button to initiate the call- No call, instead the options dialogue disappears and I return to the standard message view. Again, I should be in an outgoing call, not viewing my text message.
Example three, to really show the telephone service isn't working;
I'm in full signal, text messages are functioning correctly and the mobile web is working flawlessly. A friend sat next to me rings me and is immediately directed to my voicemail, not a single indication from the handset that I may have been receiving a call.
Seconds later I receive a text message from my operator to let me know about a new voicemail my friend just left me.
So, the telephone service isn't functioning as it should be.
A quick restart fixes the problem in 4 out of 5 cases, however usually within 24 hours the problem is persisting again.
Not being able to make outgoing calls isn't a problem, because at least then I know the telephone service has failed on me and I can restart.
A potentially important incoming call about anything being directed immediately to my voicemail? Problematic, especially if they don't leave a message and instead just keep trying me, as I receive no notification from my operator about missed calls and there is no way other than to try and make an outgoing call as to determine whether the service is still functioning.
It isn't shown as a regular application whilst not in a call and I don't believe I should even have to check if it's still running as this function is the main function implied in the device category 'smartphone'.
Rant over, so if there's anyone out there who could shed some light onto this situation, please do.
Also, kind of off topic- but in the case that this is a universal problem (which I'm assuming it is, having had two completely different handsets with the same symptoms), do I go after Nokia to provide me with a different model of handset, or the supplier (The Carphone Warehouse) since my handset isn't properly providing a function that is advertised?
Somehow I presume I'm rightfully entitled to a reimbursement or different model. Hopefully.

You're so right.... I managed to get over the problems, never upgraded the firmware... Once I got all the apps I use and needed, never touched it.... Still the phone is a mess, worst ever... I came from an Iphone, fleeing from lock OS and stuff, and found myself in a Symbian hell..... Definitely Windows Mobile... I'm so down on this phone, I spent 650 dollars, one year ago.... The worst investment ever... Never again a Nokia or a Symbian smartphone, for cheap ones apparently are the best. I'll wait another year, to feel less pain when buying a new one for 600-1000 dollars.
Solution: Buy another phone... Better if it is a Windows Mobile.... As HTC for example.

Simple Button not functioning correctly?

The button functions correctly, but for some reason when I launch the flash page, the button shows up with the alpha at 50%. I narrowed it down to the var elasticTween3:Tween = new Tween(my_box,"alpha",Strong.easeOut, 0.5, 1, 1, true); line of code, but I need that line to fade the alpha from 50% to 100% when mouse out occurs. Am I missing something??

make sure that code executes exactly once. ie, that frame shouldn't be re-entered. use the trace() function to confirm, if you think you've prevented re-entry.
