First Blog - Ready for Approval

I am not sure if this is the right forum for the below question.
Few days back I submitted my first blog on SDN for approval. Later I updated it few times and re-posted it with status "Ready for Approval". Does anyone know if I need to inform SDN that I revised my earlier post or will SDN automatically pick up the latest version of my blog?

SDN will pick up the latest version of the "ready" blog, but depending on the blog and the area it can take several days.
You might also get it back in "feedback" mode.
After a while it should go faster, particularly if the blogs are reliably good.

  • Error: Lock profile for approval procedure not maintained in Customizing

    Hi,
    We are working on the CHARM approval process. I have noticed that without selecting an approval procedure, I select the status (Awaiting business approval) on which the approval workflow is triggered, the system gives below error:
    Select an approval procedure first
    Lock profile for approval procedure not maintained in Customizing
    Approval procedure and approval steps are locked automatically
    This locks the approval procedure and the RFC can no longer be processed further. Why is that happening ? Anyone can select the status by mistake and lose the RFC, is there a way to stop this or at least reset it ? the lock procedure is already maintained in approval procedure customizing.

    Thanks for the quick reply, however the settings mentioned on page 38 are already in place i.e. the approval procedure gets determined correctly based on change category (rule policy) and also is locked after putting it to 'Awaiting Approval' 
    But the problem exists - setting the status 'Awaiting App.' without selecting app.proc, will result in a total lock of the RFC.

  • My first built system for Premiere CS5. Need advice to approve hardware list.

    Hi All:
    After some research and reading some of the posts I have cane up with the hardware list I (think) I will need to built my first editing system for Premiere, Photoshop and AE CS5. I have came out so far with an estimate of around US$1500.00, without considering yet the hard drives. I do not if top wait a little bit until prices drop or just do it. I am not sure yet if I will start with an SSD for the OS and what type yet. I will figure it out later and ask your kind advice.
    As I post my list I will note what options it would be recommended for a good system. I just have a basic acknowledge of computers and excuse me if I make any insane comments. I hace seen some videos and read some other users experiences and I am very confident I can built my very first system.
    I am planning to start ordering some of the parts as soon as possible (like the case, BDR) and tdo the rest in the next days.

  • Ready for resale First Generation iPad delete calendars and iBooks on device after saving in iTunes

    Ready for resale First Generation iPad. Need to delete calendars and iBooks on iPad.  Downloaded all info in iTunes.  If I delete iBooks on the iPad only will it also delete all info in iTunes iBook purchases and downloads.  I have backed up my calendars in MacBookPro. Please advise.

    To wipe clean you have 2 options
    1: Connect and select iPad in computer iTunes, in Summary tab, click Restore button.
    2. iPad's Settings > General > Reset > Rest All Content and Settings.

  • Application Loader error, how to submit app for approval

    Firstly, here's my info:
    1) App is for iPad and iPhone/iPod Touch
    2) Build using Flash CS 5 (Windows), packaged using Air 2.6 using ADT.
    3) Successfully build and tested my .ipa file.
    4) I just got a Mac OSX (I'm new to Mac) for submitting to Apple for approval.
    When I submit my app using the Application Loader:
    Error is: "Application failed codesign verification. The signature was invalid, or it was not signed with an Apple submission cartificate"
    (read that I need to rename my .ipa to .zip and submit that, but it still gave the error)
    Forgive me if this has been answered before, but it's bits and pieces of tips all over.
    And I don't understand why I need to manually hack files when Adobe claims Flash can develope apps for iOS.
    - ok, yes Flash can develope iOS apps, but with that statement, don't we all presume we can also submit it to the App store?
    I've spent months optimizing the app from PFI builds to now using AIR 2.6.
    Bought all the devices to test on. Now that I'm ready to submit it to Apple, I'm hitting the wall again.
    I've gone through lots of tips but none works for me.
    Can someone give step by step instructions?

    Ok, it was sweet while it lasted
    Apple sent an email:
    "Invalid Signature - Make sure you have signed your application with a distribution certificate, not an ad hoc certificate or a development certificate. Verify that the code signing settings in Xcode are correct at the target level (which override any values at the project level). Additionally, make sure the bundle you are uploading was built using a Release target in Xcode, not a Simulator target. If you are certain your code signing settings are correct, choose "Clean All" in Xcode, delete the "build" directory in the Finder, and rebuild your release target."
    I'm sure I used the Distribution certs.
    Since I'm using Flash and not Xcode, what are the possible problems?

  • Is Nokia ready for high end market?

    It is the time of smartphones.  With the introduction of 3G, distance and speed are not a barrier at all.  Prediction is that, we will see a shift from laptop to smartphones, something we experienced a few years ago when laptop replaced desktops. So, is Nokia really ready for this competitve market?  I believe they are still not ready looking at the way they support N series and E series.
     My horror story started the day I purchased my N96, exactly 4 months back.   I have been watching the developments of N95 and wanted to own one.  Nokia released N96 by the time I made my decision.  The problem started when I started seeing low memory errors.  To my surprise, I noticed that Nokia uses phone memory for messages and N-gauge.  Configuring "mass memory" as the storage for messages didn't solve the problem completely as it failed to move all messagesI searched for some file explorer kind of applications to explore and clean phone memory.  I wish if Nokia had one.  The solution given to me by Nokia support was to reset the phone.  And, that cleared all data from my phone.  So, here are a list of my pain points
    - Does Nokia expect us to reset phone for every small issues.  Note that, these are not just phones, but smart phones.  More than contacts, I have my personal data, bookmarks, configurations, rss feeds, video feeds, radio stations, podcasts, GPS locations, blogging tools, applications etc. installed.  Getting back the phone in the same state will take days after a hard reset.  Do I agree if my laptop service center tells me that they have to format my harddisk everytime I take my laptop for servicing? Nokia Care's standard answer is to update the firmware (though I have the latest firmware) and reset the phone for any issues.  I only wish if Nokia trained their technicians to handle smartphones.  
    - N96 reboots when I use GPS 50% of the times (when you use it for longer duration either with google map or Nokia map or sports tracker)
    - Phone hangs when you move from wifi hotspot to other places while wifi scan is going on (I don't see this issue after upgrading to 12.043)
    - There is no way to restart the phone when the phone hangs.  You have to take out the battery and put it back.
    - I get disconnected frequently when I'm on long calls.  Though I can blame my network provider, I know its not completely because of them.  My N70 doesn't have this problem.
    - I have been having a long battle with Nokia support and bluetooth issues.  I tried to use Motorola HT820 headset with this phone.  Phone hangs or reboots 90% time when I turn on the headset.  Nokia's standard answer is that Motorola HT820 is not a supported accessory.  I agree, but is it acceptable if phone reboots or hangs when I tried to use an unsupported accessory?  Only way to reboot the phone when it hangs is to remove the battery and place it back.  Why can't they give a reset switch hidden somewhere if they can't write bugfree code (and nonone can).  I have been doing this for the last one month while trying to convince Nokia that they have a problem with their bluetooth stack. I can prove that it happens only with A2DP profile.  I have been using a plantronics bluetooth headset without any problem.  I'm also using HT820 with my Nokia N70 which supports only HSP profile. Unfortunately, N96 doesn't provide an option to choose what profile you want to use when you pair a bluetooth headset.  I could have listened to music from my laptop (A2DP) while the headset is connected with phone (HSP), and I don't miss any calls.  I'm pretty sure it is a bug in their bluetooth stack; only if I could talk to one of their developers and explain the problem.  
    - You know the commotion Nokia created when they removed VoIP stack from N96.  Thanks to Fring, I use VoIP and skype with N96 today.  
    - The NetWork stack is so cumbursome.  Each applications have to define their own access points and rights.  Why can't it be in the platform level? Just imagin you doing this on your laptop for each of the applications.
    - Its better not to talk about the battery.  It comes for less than a day for me.  But, you can always blaim the usage.
    How do we make Nokia listen to issues?  Do they have any customer feedback forum (please, not through the Nokia Care centers)?  I wish if they improve, after all, I still love my phone (Yes, I paid a good amount for this phone)

    I'm with you - I've had my N96 nearly six months and am VERY disappointed.
    I just bought a Parrot Party Bluetooth speaker. A GREAT little unit. Needless to say, the implementation of A2DP leaves a LOT to be desired on the N96. Basically, it's like listening to a CD that skips every 10 seconds. The N96 cannot keep up the stream of data fast enough. It's VERY annoying.
    I checked to make sure no other apps were running to make sure it wasn't something else running that was causing the problem, but no, it's rubbish (I have firmware 12.043). Other people in my office can connect their Blackberries etc... no problem. Plays back beautifully, but my N96? Piece of garbage.
    Nokia have a LOT to answer for! Like you say, a phone that costs more than a laptop and this is the level of service we get. I have written TWICE via their online customer service form, and on each occasion received an email saying I can expect a response in 72 hours. I've never received ANYTHING!
    Also, I had a Plantronics headset - Explorer 340. A nice headset. Same problems as mentioned elsewhere, would intermittently be disconnected and reconnected - very annoying. Last week, it paired but would not connect. Plantronics' support was wonderful! So efficient. They're exchanging the unit with a newer model (brand new) because they cannot replace the old model. Maybe that will work better. Meanwhile, because I NEED a headset for driving (and the supplied stereo headset is pathetic - cable too short, microphone ends up around your waist (USELESS!)) I bought (*gasp*) a Nokia BH-101. Paired fine with the N96 (as one would EXPECT), but the headset itself is lousy - such a poor design. I challenge anyone to make it fit in their ear comfortably enough as to be able to HEAR the bloody thing while driving. I have to keep one hand on it to keep it in my ear. USELESS NOKIA!
    What is it WITH this company?! Why have they lost the plot?!??!

  • PO creation for approved requisitions

    Hi Gurus,
    can anybody please throw some light and help me with this scenario. We have release procedure setup for requsitions for cost centers only. The approval levels we have are 1000-5000 is level1, 5001-10000 is level2 and 10001+ is level3. If a  user puts in a requisition for 4000 USD, it goes for approval to person A. once it is approved this is ready to be convertted to PO. Now at this POint the buyer has teh capability to cut the PO against any amount higher than 4000 which was originally put on the requisition. Now my question here is since the requisition has been aprroved for 4000 USD which is in the limit of 1000 -5000, it is OK for us if the buyer goes ahead and creates a PO for 5000. But we dont want the buyer to create a PO for next limits like 5001 and above as the requsition was approved for only the limit range of 1000-5000. Similarly the buyer can create the PO for a lesser dollar amount also than 4000. These chaanges occur because by the time the PO is created the rrates might change in the real world. Can anybody please let me knwo if there is a way to put a hard error in PO creation if the buyer tries to create thee PO for an amount outside of the approved limit on the requisition.

    Technically what Jurgen said, plus . . .
    From a pure business point of view the PR is for business approval of a potential expenditure, value as indicated on the PR. That is business approval only.
    The PO is the commercial aspect where the purchasing dept. take the PR and convert it to a PO, at the best cost they can for the requirement.
    The person who created the PR puts an indicative value, the buyer who coverts it to a PO puts a definitive value, do you really want to go through the PR release loop every time market conditions dictate otherwise (or at least put a tolerance on it).

  • Apps no longer found on App Store - despite long been "Ready for Sale"

    As discovered yesterday, all our paid apps have been "lost" from the iOS App Store.
    An alert saying:
    "Your request could not be completed. The item you've requested is not currently available in the US store."
    ...appears instead.
    Nowhere are they to be found, either by navigating directly to their urls in a browser, or by searching via iTunes on computer, iPhone or iPad.
    Not even when clicking the link from within:
    [ my developers account > iTunes Connect > Manage your account > [particular app] > View in app store ]
    ...will they appear, despite them being marked as "Ready for Sale".
    This has been confirmed for the Swedish and US app stores so far, on different computers/locations.
    All these apps were approved between mid 2009 and mid 2010, and all have long had (and still have) the status "Ready for Sale" and are distributed worldwide.
    At the same time, only our FREE-apps are still to be found on the App Store.
    I've submitted a report to their support, but receiving a reply could take a while and in the meantime I'm loosing income.
    Does anybody know what's going on?
    Is this happening for others, or is it just our apps? Has this happened to others before?

    Yes, apparently all of a sudden my previously active iOS-contract has been placed under "Request Contracts" instead of in "Contracts In Effect".
    When there's a change in contracts you'll always get a notification from Apple is my experience, but now nothing.
    My iAD and Free-contracts are still in effect, though.
    Could it be connection with having just paid the Mac OS X-developer fee? I strictly remember having ADDED this to my existing account, not creating a new one.
    So should I request a new contract, with all the hassle of having to send them the w8ben-form etc (taking forever)? Or is it a shorter process since I've been a registered developer for more than 2 years?
    Eh, I'll go ahead and click the "Request"-button for the iOS contract. If you have any more input I'll gladly hear it.

  • Firefox beta 35 not ready for prime time.

    I have spent the entire weekend trying to get the Firefox beta 35 to work. What I have found is that *all* extensions fail to work with the exception of Places Maintenance. I can not download any extension Firefox is so famous for. The error is something like "cannot install 'plugin-name' in it's current state." Enabling any extension require a FF restart, even Places Maintenance. Trying to remove an extension fails and must be done manually.
    I am on Windows 7 Premium desktop Firefox, 32 bit. I "committed" myself to FF 35 last night (which meant clearing history and cache on exit because the extension "Expire History by Days" was no longer working), when I discovered that 35 was not playing nice with some sites using Flash. It was a capricious thing. Many sites worked as normal but some would not render at all. Examples:

    First time I have has a problem with a Firefox beta, but it is definitely not ready for prime time. I realize FF is attempting to get away from what we are calling "Proprietary add-ons" but FF 35 in its present state will just fill the Moz Support forums with millions of complaints (guess I am one of the first). I have at present 1 extension (the only one that works on 35), the above mentioned "Places Maintenance."
    I thought you might like this report as "user input." God knows I have tried...I must have downloaded 35 at least a dozen times and then been forced back to 34.0.5. So I am back on 34.0.5

  • Smash Bros Preorder Bundle Not Available In Spite of Email Saying it Was Ready for Pick Up

    I had preordered ({removed per Forum Guidelines}) the Wii U Smash Bros Bundle (SKU: 7493005) on 8/4/14 at bestbuy.com utilized the pick up in store option (may be the last time I do that).  When I went to the Middletown (461), NY store to pick it up yesterday before 3pm. I did not anticipate any issues since I received an email saying that my order was ready for pick up and have never had a problem when I have gotten such an email.
    When I arrived at the store, I had to wait for someone to finish with another customer. The associate attempted to find my game, but it was not at the customer service desk. She had another employee look elsewhere, but I had to leave. The and the game was not found. I had to leave to pick up my daughter from school, so she took my name and number down. About 10 minutes later I got a call telling me that the store oversold its preorders and there was a system error. I was told that it would be in sometime in the next week.
    After getting my daughter, I went back to the store because I could not understand how this happened. This time, I was helped by Brittany. The game was still not there and I was given the same explanation. I asked how preorders were filled because I had preordered in August and it just seems strange that I would get an email telling me that the product was there when it was not.  Based upon what others have written that they were told, it seems that online preorders should have been satisified first since they are paid in full.
    Brittany was quite helpful and called the Monroe, NY (1394) store to see if they had a physical copy since the computer system said they did. Whoever she spoke with in Monroe confirmed that they had a physical copy and Brittany asked that it be held at the in store pick up desk. She then transferred the store pick up over and I drove to Monroe with my family in tow.
    When I got to Monroe, I had not gotten an email confirming that the pick up was ready, but I went to the desk anyway to explain the situation. Victor looked around and did not see it. A shift leader/manager came over to assist, but there was no physical copy. I was understandably upset. The shift leader/manager called around to other stores to locate a physical, but to no avail.
    After waiting nearly 30 minutes, I came up with another "solution" because my family was on the brink of a meltdown give that it was after 5:00 pm.  So, I got a copy of the game and the gamecube controller, which are 2 of the 3 parts of the bundle that I ordered. The only missing component was the controller adapter ($19.99), but since that was available in stock online at Best Buy.com I figured that I would get that in a couple of days.
    So, being that I am in the Gamers Club Unlocked, I get 20% off new games. The Bundle is $99.99, so I got it for $79.99 before tax. But if I buy the components parts, I would only get a discount on the game and not the controller and adapter because the discount does not apply to hardware. The shift leader/manager agreed to give me the appropriate discounts so that my total cost when I purchase the $19.99 adapter would not exceed $79.99 pretax. So, while I was made "whole," I really wasn't because I did not have the entire bundle and I wasted at least two hours of my life.
    So, after leaving the store I promptly place on order ({removed per Forum Guidelines}) for the adapter on my smartphone. It says that it should ship so that I would get it by 11/26. No problem right? Wrong, because I get a subsequent email saying that it is backordered and that I can expect it sometime between 12/5 and 12/17.
    So, I would like some type of compensation for my trouble. I would be happy with a $25 gift card. I should not have to deal with this type of issue, especially when I place a preorder so far in advance and spend several thousand dollars a year in your store.
    1. How can you oversell a preorder? That is like overselling movie theater tickets. It is an unacceptable business practice.
    2. How can an employee identify an item in stock in another store, confirm its existence, and then it not be there? Thankfully, I only had to drive 20 minutes back and forth, but it was 40 minutes that I did not have to drive.
    The only positive in the whole thing was that the shift leader/manager in Monroe was so understanding. But even there, I had to come up with that idea.
    I would appreciate a response and at least the above compensation.

Our in-store pickup process should be very streamlined for our customers who pre-order games at Best Buy and what you’ve described with your Super Smash Bros pre-order is quite the opposite. I sincerely apologize for the effort you had to put into redeeming the items needed to recreate the bundle, especially since you should have simply been provided your original copy upon your first arrival to our store!
    In reviewing your BestBuy.com order for the adapter, I see that it actually did ship and I believe you’ve already received it! I’m happy to know that it’s very possible you’ve been able to play Super Smash Bros the way you originally intended.   • Calling the Adobe form in a workflow step for Approval

    Hi All,
    We are creating a PCR scenario using Adobe forms for "Employee seperation". This form will require 7 subsequent approvals from various agents which is to be handled using a workflow.
    I had gone through the ISR cookbook and managed to create a scenario. I have also assigned it to a PDF form and a dummy workflow. Now from my PCR iview i am able to submit the form for my scenario which also triggers the dummy workflow(through the BUS7051-CREATED event).
    Right now this dummy workflow just sends a mail(by sendmail step) to the first approver. Now i want this workflow to send a workitem to the first approver for approval of this form which will have to appear in his UWL. When the approver double clicks on the workitem in UWL he should be able to view the form along with Approve/Reject/Cancel buttons. I am not aware how to do this. My questions are,
    <b>Is this handled by a decision step or an activity?
    If it is an activity step which Task/Business object method is used to handle this?
    If it is a decision step how do we make the Adobe form also to be displayed along with approve/Reject buttons?</b>
    We are using ECC5.0 and EP6.0.

  • IPhoto 6 Not ready for primetime

    I've had it with iPhoto 6!
    The program seems to have been released before it was ready. . . I've had numerous problems that have caused me to lose work and have made my entire system seem unstable (hello spinning beach ball!).
    The first problems occurred after a crash while making a calendar (something numerous other users have also experienced). All photos in my library taken over the past year disappeared. Although they were still in the iPhoto pictures folder, nothing could bring them back into the library. I tried rebuilding and everything else suggested on these boards.
    I finally had to go to a backup and bring back my iPhoto 5 library. I reimported everything (after verifying the library and permissions) and thought that would cure the problems. But I was wrong.
    After working for a two days on a photobook (I wouldn't dare try a calendar again). I opened iPhoto this morning and was prompted to rebuild my thumbnails as they needed to be "upgraded" to the new version. I declined. Afterwards, I had no photos in my library and my new book as well as two created in iPhoto 5 had also disappeared.
    Yes, the photos themselves are still present in the Originals and Modified folders in the iPhoto library. I haven't lost them and could just recreate the library (if I trusted the program enough to spend the time doing so).
    More importantly, I'm almost sure that I've lost my books (does anyone know where they might be stored or how to recover them?). I quit normally from the program last night after working on the book. Thankfully, I had created a .pdf file of it beforehand, so I can look at it.
    Its just too much work to chase after a buggy, buggy, unstable program. I'm going back to iPhoto 5 and would advise others to do so, too -- at least until Apple fixes its mess.

    Primetime? IMHO it's not even ready for naptime! How such an immature program ever got out of the crate is beyond me. I installed and ended up with only one photo of about 300 visible. I messed and messed, re-loaded my backup folder and on and on. Had up to quadruplicates...deletede xtras etc.
    Then, when I scrolled up, the photos would disappear as I moved the cursor...shutdown and restart resulted in about 50 percent of photos visible. Nothing like making an 8x10 of a grayed-out exclamation point with a title..:~}
    I'm gonna return it and wait...iPhoto5 please come back.

  • Expense_status_code – Ready for Payment - Yet its already in Financials..!?

    An expense report that is 'Ready for Payment' is also in ORACLE Financials..?!?!?
    We have an issue with an expense report that has an expense_status_code of 'Ready for Payment' in the AP_EXPENSE_REPORT_HEADERS_all table.
    The thing is, it has already been imported into ORACLE Financials and exists in the ap_invoices_all tabgle and can be seen within Invoice Overview from Payables module.
    Under what curcumstances would/could this happen?
    What can I do with it in i-expenses?
    I'm not sure its related, but the 'Audit Reason' given is down as 'Unapplied Advance'.

    The solution was due to an Administrator who put the IEXP in on the 27/1 BUT the date of the claim was 30/9 and because an Auditor runs the import from the 1/10 (as that's when IEXPS went live) so any ER's that are put in before that date will not be picked up until the Auditor does the AUTO APPROVAL Process at the end of every month. These are then validated and ready to pay the following month.
    So it seems, irrespective if they're in ORACLE Financials or not, if they're still as status 'Ready for Payment' they haven't yet been paid - although the Advance payment is probablies the reason why..

    Hello Colleagues,
    As per one of our prospect in India, they would like to have attachment section/block to be enabled for an approver as well.
    The scenario goes this way,
    Once an employee creates a trip request, it goes to a travel desk (first level of approval). Travel desk would find different quotations and needs to send these quotations along with the trip request to the respective manager (second level of approval). Currently, the approver cannot attach any files and hence, in this case travel desk cannot attach quotations to the trip request and send to the manager for further approval.
    Can we enable attachment section for approver as well? Or could there be any work around?
