First publish to AIR in Flash CS6 problem

I get this error after trying to install the .air file from a successful publish to AIR from Flash CS6. The file I'm using has been working fine for publish to AIR in CS5.5.  Anyone know what is up here?  I'm not using teh embedded runtime publish option.
"This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured. Please contact the application author for assistance."
Thanks!

Hi David ,
The reason for the above problem could be that the same application exported with different certificates, and the new one which you are trying to install conflicts with the old one.
Try the following steps :
1. Make sure you uninstall the AIR application completely.Search for the application from its App name which you had specified in the "AIR Settings" dialog.
2. Install the AIR application again.
If this also doesn't help then
You can check by changing the ID of the application and install it as a brand new app that has never been installed before.

  • How to use expansion files for AIR app (flash cs6) on Google Play Store

I am currently working on an app that will undoubtedly end up bigger than the maximum size of 50 MB for the APK, and I have no clue how to add files to an expansion pack, how to load expansion pack, what files need to be in expansion pack, or even what an expansion pack does/how it works. If anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be great, I want to make an expansion pack now before I get even more files.

Haven't had a need to do this for file size purposes but since we can now download and use SWFs with ABC, I just specify my external SWFs when I compile and once my app is run it downloads the SWFs (with a pretty preloader) before the user can do anything. I have my own servers so I believe that's all that Amazon Bucket is actually used for. That user didn't have their own web servers to serve up the SWF content from.
Aside that, check the answer here. Google will turn any extra files uploaded for your app into OBB for you. You just upload the SWF:
Create expansion file for AS3 android Air App Flash cs6 - Stack Overflow
It also outlines if you need to upload multiple files then .zip them up and use an AS3 .zip library to extract the files.

  • Air 3.6 not available in publish settings after install - Flash CS6

After installing Air 3.6 beta, Flash CS6 does not have Air 3.6 available in the publish settings - target. Highest available target is Air 3.4.
System: Mac Book Pro-Retina, OS - X Lion.

This is a mystery to me. On my Mac, I have Flash CS6 installed, and it told me at install time it was installing AIR3.5 at the same time. However, in the Flash Publish options, I only have AIR3.2 available?????
I installed AIR 3.6 Beta, and it told me it was upgrading AIR3.5 to 3.6 huh ???? but still not available anywhere I can find it. I can't find it anywhere, and still only have AIR3.2 in the \Applications\Adobe Flash\CS6 directory, and in Publish settings.

  • Publish iOS app with Flash CS6?

    Hi,
Is it possible to publish an iOS with the new icons sizes (120px..) with Flash CS6?
Flash removes the new icon sizes from the app.xml every time I publish my app.
Is it possible to prevent this?
I tried to set the app.xml to read-only but then the app will not publish.
    Thanks

I was getting this intermittently.   Not a super problem.   A remove and install in iTunes gets it loaded (after you tell ITunes where it is).

  • Getting Flash CS5 to publish an AIR 1.5 file

*** For the record, I just want to say that I think it is totally absurd that Adobe shipped Flash CS5 with the ability to ONLY publish AIR 2.0 apps...which hasn't been publicly released yet. I've been working on an AIR app for several weeks and needed to upgrade from Flash CS3 to CS5 to take advantage of the new Text Layout Framework. Now, my app can't be installed by my customers because I can't publish for a version of AIR they can access!! How this decision got made baffles me. Adobe needs to be on top of their game these days and this blunder makes it that much more difficult to defend the Flash/AIR platform that I love so much. Flame over.****
Now, for the workaround I've discovered. To get Flash CS5 to publish an AIR 1.5 file, I first published an AIR 2.0 app. Then I went into the app descriptor xml file and changed the version from 2.0 to 1.5 <application xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/1.5"> Then I deleted the xml nodes in that same file that are specific to AIR 2.0 (<visible>, <fullScreen>, <autoOrients>, <aspectRatio>, <renderMode>). I locked the app descriptor file so it couldn't be changed by the next publish. Then I deleted the previously created .air file and the .swf file. I then republished the app from CS5 and it was able to install under the publically available version of AIR (1.5.3.9130).

@mattwade, thanks for posting this. Is it possible to open up your flash project inside of Flash Builder to convert to 1.5?

  • Workflow: Flash Pro (AIR) to Flash Builder

I would like to publish to AIR from Flash Pro, but program and debug in Flash Builder. When I use the work flow of starting in Flash Pro and then moving to a Flash-Pro-in-Flash-Builder project the only run/debug option seems to be a web application.
Is my workflow as described possible or do I have to do the full Flash Pro -> .swc -> Flex Project -> AIR workflow?

Well I found this on the Flash Player debug download page (http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html):
"10/3/11 - Updated debugger (aka debug players or content debuggers) and standalone (aka projector) versions of Flash Player 11.0 are available for Flash Builder 4, Flash Catalyst, Flash Professional CS4, and Flash Professional CS5 users"
I tried installing the standalone player available there,  but after placing it in the proper Flash Pro CS5 directory at C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS5\Players, the standalone player launched by Flash Professional CS5 still won't work with FP11 Stage 3D content.  I still get the VerifyError:
"Error #1014: Class flash.display3D.textures::Texture could not be found."
    I am using Away3D 4.0.
Oh well.  Guess I'll just have to keep viewing it in the browser for now  :-(

  • .flv not appearing in published .air (Flash CS6)

    Hello,
I've made an interactive story with Flash CS6 and ActionScript 3.0, the characters are all .flvs as they're animated and need transparent backgrounds so they can be put onto a separate background. However when I publish the piece as an .air, install it and run the application the .flvs don't appear at all. The only advice I've been able to find is to make sure that in the .xml that can be found in the same folder as the .air that transparency is not set to "transparent", this has the value of "false", I've tried changing it to "true" just to check and this didn't work. Any help what so ever would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

    This can have multiple reasons
1.Make sure that you add all the needed assets manually in the air-export options
2.Videos have certain restrictions like their dimensions have to be dividable by 16, also flash could have problems with audio if its not standard 44,1 kHz but 48 kHz
    etc.
Make sure that you check "allow debuggin" in the Export options to get hints what went wrong.
Also just an advise : I can`t see how it is a good design to make characters in an interactive story videofiles, you should convert them to swf and make movieclips out of them.
This will keep your filesize manageable and give you overall more control.

  • Problems with publishing on Flash CS6

I just started having problems with my Flash CS6 program. Any thing I have designed in the last two days I publish but the html file will not run the flash. I know that my flash on my laptop recently updated but the html file will not open and run on our desk top either or a friend's computer. Any suggestions. I have designed an action script only file, a flash and action script file and a straight flash file and none of them will work. The files I designed prior to this week still work.

    click file>publish settings>html>template>flash only.
publish and test the html in your browser.  if it fails to display your swf, copy and paste your html code here.

  • Publishing air apps with native extension with Flash CS6 on Windows

    Hi all,
is there any trick to publish air apps with Flash CS6 on Windows?
I tried all native extensions from devnet, but nothing work to me.
I read on Mac is possibility to specify the iOS SDK folder in publish
settings, but on Windows it´s missing.
Is there anybody who has some experiences with publishing apps
with native extensions for iOS and Android with windows Flash CS6?
    Thanks for all advices.

I sympathize. I recently found a native alert for iOS and Android that's working with Flash CS6 on Windows with AIR 3.2.0.2070 but not AIR 3.2.0.2060. You can get the ANE here:
    http://www.jampot.ie/ane/
Haven't tried the other ones. Let us know if you decide to try them.
The sample code they have on the page doesn't work with the native alert. Here's the code I created - it's a document class for a .fla that has one dynamic TextField and one Button component on the stage :

    Hi,
This option is available when your publish target is set to AIR 3.6.
You can download the desired AIR SDK version from Archived Adobe AIR SDK versions

  • Flash cs6 native ane publish problem

hi! i was very lucky to download and test flash cs6, but there are directly problems with the publish function
after i add an ane file, i get this error:
    DVFreeThread - CFMachPortCreateWithPort hack = 0x18fe90, fPowerNotifyPort= 0x19d5a0
    DVFreeThread - CFMachPortCreateWithPort hack = 0x1a96b0, fPowerNotifyPort= 0x18c5e0
    DVFreeThread - CFMachPortCreateWithPort hack = 0x19d0a0, fPowerNotifyPort= 0x19d5a0
invalid profile specified 'Application does not support current profile'
if i'm testing another ane file, i get this error:
    DVFreeThread - CFMachPortCreateWithPort hack = 0x32a460, fPowerNotifyPort= 0x319fc0
    DVFreeThread - CFMachPortCreateWithPort hack = 0x1454b0, fPowerNotifyPort= 0x12c400
The content cannot be loaded because there was a problem loading an extension: Error: Requested extension com.wolfknock.idialog is not supported for MacOS-x86.
both ane files was supported on the cs5.5 version. so should cs6 not be besser than 5.5?
i'm using the default deliverd air3.2 and mac lion..
maybe it's because the new option ios sdk 5.1 (checkbox?)

Unfortunately it's a compile time error not a runtime error. If it was runtime then yes you could certainly check the typical isSupported() method most ANEs have. Although you need to compile to get to that point and the compiler is throwing the error.
Flash CS5.5 didn't have a problem because you needed to package with ADT command line to include a native extension as it had no idea what it was so it makes sense you could test using it. Flash Builder users (which has had ANE support) have had to deal with keeping ANEs from being packaged to avoid the same compiler errors you're getting. We're very used to the PITA that it is
All an ANE developer needs to do is provide an implementation for a particular platform, even if it doesn't work, and you won't get errors. During creating the static library for the ANE the iOS developer could specify support for it in the build. Unfortunately the ANE you're using doesn't have that. It's telling Flash it only works on a device.

  • How can I use a file in flash cs6 that I made in flash cs5.5 air for android

I have made an app in in air for android in flash cs5.5 air for android, and I want to edit it in cs6 and play it in cs6.
But if I put Ctrl+Enter I got an error: createWin process failed with error 2: system couldn't find the file. I think the problem is that I'am using air for android 2.6 version in flash cs5.5 and version 3.2 in flash cs6. I have searched the web and found out that you can add older air versions using the sdk manager and I have tried it but first I get the error that the version of the sdk I am trying to install is not valid and after some files that I added to the sdk folder I get this error:Only SDK higher than version 3.4.2540 may be added.
I there a possible way to update the air for android for an fla or apk? Or how can I let my originally file work fine in flash cs6??

    system couldn't find the file
If you can´t get a more specific hint why your project can´t compile then I can think of some reasons theis error might occur
1.You had files included besides the swf, like videos, audio files, xml files, that are not present in the place air expects them to be
2.somewhere in your createWin functions there is a class import needed that isn`t present in 3.2 anymore, for example some classes or functions from classes that were valid in 2.6 are not any more in 3.2
    3. to achieve better eror logging, allow for debugging in the publishing options and see what specific lines in your code throw the error
4.any air app needs a cert file, this needs to be created once, if you migrated to e new system it might be you never created that file which air expects to even begin the compiling process
once you isolate the problem, report back

  • AIR SDK 17 (BETA) is not working with Flash CS6

    Hi,
The latest AIR SDK 17 is not working with Flash CS6.
I tried to publish and install an iOS app to my connected device via USB but I always get an error "Check if iTunes is installed".
The latest stable AIR SDK 16 is working fine, and yes, iTunes is installed on my PC.
    DETAILS:
    - Flash CS6
    - AIR SDK 17
    - System: Windows 8,1
    - iPodTouch with iOS 8.1
    REPRODUCE:
Open new AIR iOS template and publish/install it to a USB connected iOS 8.1 device.
    Anyone else got that error?

I was getting this intermittently.   Not a super problem.   A remove and install in iTunes gets it loaded (after you tell ITunes where it is).

  • Flash CS6 does not publish for iOS with ANE included

    Hi,
I'm creating a game to run on iOS devices and one of the game requirement is for the device to vibrate on some action.
I added the Vibration.ane file (http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/native-extensions-for-air/extensions/vibration.html) into the library path in Flash CS6 and also added the extension ID to the XML file. However when I publish the Flash file to check on device, I only keep seeing the "Publishing" loader bar. I've even waited for over 15 mins for it to complete. I get no error, nor does the PC hang, but I can't seem to publish my .app file for device testing.
Also I assume we can't test Vibration functionality with the Simulator that opens during desktop testing. I get the error "The content cannot be loaded because there was a problem loading an extension: Error: Requested extension com.adobe.Vibration is not supported for Windows-x86."
    Would appreciate help.
    Thanks,
    Mariam

IPA is ok at the CS6 flash' standard 3.2 export, just tried the new AIR 3.3 also - no problems. I just included the Gyro ANE file, not the SWC
However, because the adl still does not want to preview this thing, development/testing the Gyro stuff is difficult...
I discovered the accelerometer is something different however. Adobe's little remote control thingy on which you can simulate phone position and multitouch emulates the accelerometer, not the Gyro. The Gyro extension taps in to a piece of hardware which really displays the position of the device, not the movement it's been receiving.
Maybe obvious but I thought I'd post this little find, after a day of testing and exporting, syncing, ... this was a tiresome experience...
After all this I can advise to sync the .ipa's with xcode though, instead of iTunes. This works MUCH faster (if you're on mac). Just run xcode, pull up the 'organizer window', select your device and go to the subbranch ' applications'. There you can add the .ipa by clicking on the '+' button

  • Ios7 Air 3.9 Flash cs6 clock shown in app

Dear developers, I recently updated my app for ioS 7 using Air 3.9 (latest version) and Flash cs6.  I discovered that the status bar is displayed in my app in landscape mode auto orientation.  My game does not use full screen mode (this box is not checked in publish settings).  I did not test my app ad hoc before uploading it and only have myself to  blame......... but the app is now live in ITunes and I have to fix it  immediately.  I only came across the post in this forum related to this problem after I had already uploaded the game to itunes connect and was hoping it would not be affected.
The good thing is that my app is mostly black in that area and you cannot see all of the status bar, but there are times when the screen changes and then you see battery life and the current time.  You also see a strange small yellow line near the battery indicator.
Should I revert back to Air 3.7?  The reason why I went to 3.9 was to include the new icons but I never ended up doing so and the app still passed through Apple's screening process.  Before updating my app, my app did not have any issues with ioS 7.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated, as the update is not pleasing to the eye.
    Thank you,
    Justin

sadly this is apparently a new "feature" for iOS7. Check out this thread for more info: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1297708?tstart=0
You will have to work around it . The end of the thread gives some insight how. Or possibly you can use AIR 3.8
