Fixed Custom serial number in SSRS

Question

hello all,
I am here to find solution where i want to fixed a serial number with my particular data row.
i my report i want to assign a fixed row number to row which will not be change if number of rows affected by filter .
i meant..
SR      Employee  Office
1    Dilip          Ahd.
2    Anna
    Ahd
3         Gas           nas
4          Wishu      nas
here ,suppose i have passes parameter for ofice as nas.. then report should be like
SR      Employee  Office
3         Gas           nas
4          Wishu      nas

Hi Dilip,
According to your description, you want to have a column to show row number and keep the numbers fixed with rows when filtering data. Right?
In Reporting Services, when you use rownumber() function in a tablix, it will only return the row number of current rows in tablix. So if you use filter, it will only show numbers for filtered rows. However, in this scenario, we can use ROW_NUMBER()
function in query which can return a column of row numbers for records. This row number is at query level, it will be retrieved as data field in report. So this number will be fixed with each data row and there's no effect if we use filter. Please try
to modify your query in your dataset like below:
Select [col1],[col2],...,ROW_NUMBER() OVER (ORDER BY Employee) as RN from [table]
