I would like to know if there is an easy way to interface a new Flex application
to legacy C/C++ libraries?

Supposedly Merapi maes it possible to connect AIR apps to native applications,
but in Flex apps I don't think this is possible because of the sandbox.

Thanks Larry, I just found some documentation on the connector and this does look
promising. Unfortunately, I'm going to be constrained by what the customer has in
place. I don't know yet if the customer is using WebLogic. They are in South Africa
and I'm here in the east coast and just got this request this morning. I need to
find out more information to make a better decision.

Solution Manager Interface with Tools Outside SAP

Does anyone have information on Solution Manager's abilities to interface with tools outside of SAP? I am interested in interfacing Solution Manager with legacy systems and main frame systems (e.g. Informatica). I am especially concerned with Root Cause Analysis, Exception Analysis, and Error Reporting in Solution Manager regarding non-SAP systems. Also, if Solution Manager is able to interface with these systems, can it access details from outside SAP (e.g. data from legacy systems)?

The solution manager can be interface with the ARIS.We did in our project this interface.
The Business process flow was defined in ARIS & synchronize with the solman & once configuration is done then we reverse synchronize the same to update the ARIS,so you can interface with legacy also.

How to setup Flex SDK with latest AIR SDK?

Now the latest AIRSDK web page has a small link at the bottom for Flex users and it states that Flex users should take the SDK version without the compiler. BUT....
the http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-builder/kb/overlay-air-sdk-flash-builder.html page says to download the SDK from
http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/asc2.html
but this page now redirects to:
http://helpx.adobe.com/air/kb/archived-air-sdk-version.html
which contains a large list of archived SDK's. So that help page never really says which version of the SDK to use - with or without the compiler. But other forum posts have implied its suppose to be the one with the compiler.
Now since we're overlaying the ...plugins\com.adobe.flash.compiler_4.7.0.349722\AIRSDK folder that would make sense.
But now there's a second overlay instructions page at:
http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/how-overlay-air-sdk-flex-sdk.html
with different instructions.
So my questions are:
   Which overlay instructions are we really suppose to use?
   Which version of the AIR SDK (with or with-out compiler) are we suppose to use?
   What does the Flex Library Project properties -> Flex Library Compiler -> 'Include Adobe AIR libraries' checkbox really do?
        If I've followed the (first) overlay instructions above, does this checkbox now mean I'm using the overlaid AIR SDK 3.6
        with the current Flex SDK I've chosen?
        What if I'm using the Apache Flex 4.9.1 SDK? Will the AIR SDK 3.6 overlay that?
            (Doesn't Apache Flex have AIR 3.4 embedded - will this confuse Flash Builder 4.7 ?)
Is it just me, or is this just getting more and more confusing? Can we perhaps get a AIR SDK combo box to go beside the Flex combo box and when we check the 'Include Adobe AIR libraries' then we can select the AIR SDK we want? And get a 'configure AIR SDKs...' link too? Then perhaps we can get completely away from overlays and all this merged SDK nonsense. I've had nothing but problems with it.
The real reason I need all this info is because I'm trying to use Flash Builder 4.7 to build an Android ANE and I'm having a devil of a time just trying to find my resources. When I use context.getResourceID() I'm not getting the correct resources - and after reviewing other posts here I came to the conclusion that it might be due to bugs in older AIR SDK's. So really, at the moment I could care less about the latest Flex SDK, I just need to know I'm working from the latest AIR SDK.

At the bottom it says:
Note : Flex users will need to download the original AIR SDK without the new compiler. Mac Windows.
Download the proper one for your OS and then extract it over your existing Flex SDK directory.
EDIT: Just read your post again and noticed you mentioned Flash Builder. In that case you want to follow these directions: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-builder/kb/overlay-air-sdk-flash-builder.html and grab the version with the compiler at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/air-sdk-download.html

EDI interface with MM can be anything that may be required as per the scenario needed. Any interface to SAP from legacy using EDI application. The most imagined interface can be Say there is a third party system in which Purchase orders or Req are entered by different Buyers and those need to be interfaced to SAP for creating the orders in SAP.
Similarly another thing that can be imagined is Material movements posting from a third party warehouse system

Adobe Flex 4 with ABAP web dynpro

I currently am working with Flex 3 but wanted few features of Flex 4 for my project. Is there any way that I can use Flex 4 with ABAP web dynpro. I have tried using the 'Use Flex 3 compatibility mode' with 'merged into code' but this does not work. There is no data transfer happening. I see in the forums that this is not possible but all the posts are one year old. Just wanted to check if any new method is availabe.

Interface with multiple msg.PM

Hi, Experts,
I’m considering the parallel migration to FS-PM from legacy system using migration solution.
As far as I know, FS-PM has the business validation step (check data, recalculation the premium) after finishing the technical validation.
To deal with the parallel approach for the business validation in the FS-PM, I would like to know that FS-PM can interface with the multiple msg.PM system.
It means that 2 or 3 msg.PM can connect with a FS-PM system to reduce the migration time (or load balancing).
My assumption may be wrong in the parallel migration. But I really want that multiple interface with msg.PM can be possible or not in terms of the technical aspects.
Please let me know if you have some idea or relevant experiences.

JavaBeans can interface with OpenOffice

Hi, I ask you another question: any of you have created or used a JavaBeans can interface with OpenOffice??
I modified the java classes and finally managed to create a document. Odt OpenOffice Writer and launch from Eclipse. If I am not using the libraries oooBeans but there are 2 problems now:
1. For known issues I had to set the Java class path of the folder where you have OpenOffice executables and should be changed ...
2. I created a. Jar file executable, but I do not know how to integrate Oracle Forms and use it as JavaBeans. Perhaps this step you're more prepared

SAP Inventory management interface with Third party Warehouse System

Need your input for designing the SAP solution with existing Third party warehouse system ( Exacta ):-
SAP ERP will be implemented for all locations of Client ( SAP MM, FI, PS , HR etc ).The Client has 10 distribution centres which are on Exacta Warehouse systems and will be linked with SAP Inventory management system.
The way it will work - Goods receipt will always happen in SAP for all locations and then interface needs to Trigger subsequent Putaway activities at Exacta Ware house ( third party warehouse system) for those 10 locations.
Goods Issue for these locations will happen from Exacta and then update will be posted in SAP via interface.
All locations will be created as Plant /Storage locations in SAP.
Need your inputs what special configurations need to happen in SAP for those locations so that goods receipt in SAP can trigger putaway activities in Exacta system .
Do we need to do configuration for decentralised Warehouse in SAP for handling this?
Pl. give your inputs based on your past experience where you handled such scenarios via interface with SAP Inventory management and legacy warehouse systems.

This is a std business process where clients have used their existing warehousing systems but implemented SAP forother functions such as Order entry, inventory mgmt and procurement, financials.
The typical interface that needs to happen is
1. Sales order ( and or delivery)
2. Invetory needs to be passed to the WH. Typically people send it when SAP GR takes place.
3. When WH system does picking, it sends signal to SAP which then does PGI for the sales order delivery and that takes the stock out of the system.
Material master has to be transferred or mapped between two systems. Also, other elements need to be mapped between two systems.
The way I have seen this happening is :
you have an output on the SAP GR process. That creates an idoc to the WH system. Based on the capabilities of the WH system, it then does appropriate actions in the system.
Many times, middlewares are used to translate/ map the data between SAP and the WH systems.
So system wise, there is ALE setup that needs to take place for IDOC creations.
Configuration and coding is required for the output type and the program behind it. There are several std FUnction Modules that can be used for this.

Example: Our client provide service on Contract base when our client create invoice for $10000 customer will pay only 70% of bill amount only as per the Contract terms after completing the entire contract based on the quality of service customer will release 30% amount, so my client want to tract 30% amount from each Customer Invoice Creation so that he can understand how much amount is retained with his customer.

What is the syntax for referencing an interface, module, and the parent that are all in different
folders?
For example, the modules are in a folder named "mods". The interface is in a folder named "modInterfaces", and then the parentApplication is at the root level.
In the parentApp, I am referencing the interface like this:

Unless the interface is in the same folder as the parent app, I get a undefined property error. So I tried:
modChild:* = graphMod.child as LoadGraphInterface;
import
and other things with no effect.
The same sort of issue is in the module where I try to implement the interface:
implements="LoadGraphInterface" modInterfaces.*;

SD card interface with MCB2300

Hey,
I was wondering if there is anyway to interface with the SD card reader that came with the MCB2300 board with Labview. The SD card doesn't seem to be using the SPI interface.

Hi DZ,
The short answer is, yes you can interface to an SD card using the MCB2300 using LabVIEW. The long answer will require a decent amount of work upfront before you will be able to implement these function in LabVIEW.
Keil provides tools for connecting to an SD card with the LPC2378 chips and an example using the MCB2300. Unfortunately to access these libraries you will need the RealVIEW Real-Time Library (RL-ARM), which requires purchasing an additional license for this software.
Once you have necessary libraries you will need to build up the driver VIs in LabVIEW using the Inline C Node, which can easily wrapped into a new subVI.
