FM for getting attributes of an org unit

Hi,
I have a req. in which I need to fetch the attributes of an org unit. These attributes are maintained in the tcode ppoma_crm.
Is there any FM or some option otherwise, thru which I can get the desired info?

Make use of FM: RH_OM_ATTRIBUTES_READ,
Pass otype = 'O'
         objid   = Sales Org Number " to be fetched before you use this FM
         scenraio = sales/service "based on your requirement
         seldate = sy-datum

Your workflow configuration is quite strange.
<u>Couple of questions to ask here :-></u>
<b>1) what's your business requirement ?
2) which SRM version are you using ?
3) which SRM scenario have you implemented ? (Classic/Extended Classic/Standalone)
4) What do yo mean by "I am thinking of creating a org structure with each row of criteria as one position say manager1, manager2 etc.". Are you talking about Workflow Configuration using PPOMA_BBP Transaction ? Are you looking for Functional aspect or you need to implement by coding (Technical Aspect) ?
5) I remember you told in your earlier reply that you are looking for Technical aspect by creating a function module inside N-Level Approver BADI (BBP_WFL_APPROV_BADI in SE18). Have you completed that part ?
6) Can you maintain a custom table (Z table) and maintain the conditions there and based on the Shopping cart
values, we can manipulate the list of approvers decided.
7) What about functional part ? Are you taking care of both Functional and technical aspects of the Workflow configuartion in this case ?</b>

I don't know if a BAPI is available.. but you can copy RH_GET_LEADING_POSITION into a Z version... make it RFC enaled & add code to get the title..

FM to get the highest level org units

Hi
Is there a way to find out the root level org units in the system? i.e i want to retrieve all the org units that do not have a higher level org unit.
I can look for org units that do not have a valid "A002" relationship. But i am not sure if this is the right approach. Can someone let me know if there is a FM or any other better logic to determine this?

Is it possible to get a report showing Org Units and Number of Positions.

Dear SAP Gurus,
I am looking for a report about org units and no.of positions held by this org unit.
eg :
CEO(35)
Department(35)
ACS (5) ABC(30)
AC1(2) AC2(3) AB1(10) AB2(20)
The numbers in the brackets are all no. of positions under that org unit.

Table for link with BP and Org Unit

Hi experts
i'd like to know what is the table where there is inside the link beetween BP and Org Unit.
I know that the table HRP1001 links users to Org Unit but i cannot find the BP

you can always find the link between Org unit O and its related BP in table HRP1001.
Key in Org unit ID in the table selection parameter OBJID and execute. It will list postions (S) assigned to the Org ID and its BP number. Look at the relation B207(subtype) which will show O-BP assigment. It will be the last entry in the output list.

CRMD_BUS2000108 - organizational unit and attributes for org. unit

Hi all!
As I'm customizing Lead creation (and in a second step lead generation)
I would like to receive tips about "selection of organizational unit and attributes for org. unit".
I expected that, by entering a BP number of a prospect or sold-to party, the organizational unit and its attributes would be displayed automatically on the tab "organization".
This is not the case. When I start the lead creation, there is a pop-up screen inviting me to choose the organizational unit. afterwards a pop-up screen for the attributes of the org unit. Only after setting a flag in both pop-ups, I see the actual "lead" transaction. When I enter a BP number, the sales assistant and sales rep are found automatically.
Could anybody please explain how to change the customizing?
I would like to see the lead transaction (create) first, enter a bp number and than have the org unit and its attributes, the sales rep and sales assistant found automatically.
Any usefull answer (would make my day ), will be rewarded.

hi
this is happening because you have not done the org data determination in your transaction,just go to SPRO and there in org data determination ,you have many standard ORGMAN rules available which you can use which will pick the data according to the user ,BPs etc.
it will enable you to first give BP and then the org data will be driven automatically from the system according to the rule in org data determination.
so first go and use rule ,try using rule ORGMAN_12
then attach this rule to the org data profile and then add this org data profile to the transaction in basic settings in transaction where you have defined your lead transaction.
it will solve your purpose

How to Restrict Creation of Infotype Record for Certain Org Units?

Dear All,
Requirement:
Org Unit 1 does not have overtime. Even the employee works overtime, they will not get overtime compensation.
One of the option is to disallow the creation of IT2005's record for all the employees in Org Unit 1.
Is it possible to do this through standard SAP?

Hi,
The best way to control this will be with Authorizations so that people belonging to one Org.unit should not have IT2005 mantainence.

Org unit doesnt exist but I getting error by HRBCI_ATTRIBUTES_BUFFER_UPDATE

Gurus, i have an issue with Org. Model, an Org Model was created and transfered from customizing box to testing box, then one error was issued when running HRBCI_ATTRIBUTES_BUFFER_UPDATE report: "missing COUNTRY for xxxx org unit". then I checked it in ppoma_crm and HRP1000 table to solve it, but it does not exist in the system, so my Org, Unit determination rules are not working due this error.
Has anyone gotten that error for that kind of ghost Org Unit, how can I figure it out??

Need FM for Org Mannagement, Employees from lower org units

hi,
I have a person/manager suppose in Org Unit 'A' from whome I need to find out employeees belonging to org units at lower level to 'A'.
Now I also have to check that I should get employees of the lower org units till I get a org unit with manger position if manager position is available stop otherwise need to keep searching the lower level org units.
I am in search of any function module available for such requirement.
Please reply me if anyone has any idea on this.

CATS - How to enter times of an employee who works for 2 different Org Unit

Hi,
I am able to successfully enter times for an employee and do the approval process (CAT4) and CAT6 and I can see the records getting updated in PA30.
Scenario :
Employee works for 2 different Org Units and should be able to enter his time through Timesheet. Eg: Employee A spends 6 Hours working in Department B1 & 3 Hours in Dept B2.
The Manager of B1 should only be able to approve 6 Hours of Employee A
The Manager of B2 should only be able to approve 6 Hours of Employee A
Can somebody help me out how this can be achieved?

Thank you for the response. Yes, when I report the times for 2 different org units I would also want the cost for that employee distributed between org units.
I tried your solution-> by entering times in CAT2 for Employee A for 2 different Cost Centers that I created.
For Department B1 --> In CAT2 I entered Cost center C1 : 6 Hours
For Department B2 -->In CAT2 I entered Cost center C2 : 4 Hours
When I go to CAT4 and try to select the employee for approval and search the employee-A Org unit wise he is displayed only in his original Department -> B1 with 10 hours (6+4). What else do you think needs to be done?
Is this anything to be done with Sender Receiver Cost Centers because the cost center C1,C2 that I created for Org Units B1 & B2 respectively are just Cost Centers. I dont know the difference between Costcenter and Sender Costcenter/Receiver Costcenter.
I will try to explain the scenario again in case I was not clear :
u2022Each employee has their home OU. However these employees may be working with multiple OU each day or the week. So potentially, the time sheet may have to be approved by multiple managers.

Org unit Hierarchy structure at Key date

Hello Friends,
We have an issue with displaying HR Org unit hierarchy structure between two calendar months.
The BI Report has a selection parameter to select Org unit hierarchy , Calendar month From and Calendar month To
The BI Report is to display the no.of sick absence days for employees in a chosen Org unit hier.
Employee A had a sick absence of 5 days in the month 04.2011 in the Org unit X . The same employee had a sick absence of 4 days in 05.2011.The Org unit X then delimit in 05.2011 , the Org unit X is no longer in Org structure from 05.2011.
When we run the report for 04.2011 to 04.2011 , the employee A is showing absence   under Correct Org unit ie X with correct Org structure .
When we run the Report for 05.2011 to 05.2011 , the employee A is showing absence under hierarchy Org unit Not assigned which is OK .
But the issue is when we run the Report from 04.2011 to 05.2011 , The employee A absence days 9 (5 +4 ) showing under Not assigned Org unit hierarchy structure which is the latest Org unit .
When I deactivate the Org unit hierarchy and choose tech name of Org unit , It is showing correct Org unit key
But The user would like to see 5 days under org unit X and 4 days under Not assigned with Correct Org unit hier structure when we run the Report from 04.2011 to 05..2011 .
We have a user Exit variable for the Key date in the Bex Report which seems to be taking only one date at any time .
Is there any way to get the correct figures under Org unit hier structure where employee had absence in when we put range of calendar months on a selection screen ?
Any advice appreciated.

Hi,
You can try adding two more attributes to Org Unit as "Calender month from" and "Calender month to".
In these attributes maintain the validity period for the corresponding master data.
For example, in your case you can maintain the master data as:
Employee | Org Unit | Calender month from |Calender month to | sick absence
A | X | 4.2011| 4.2011 | 5 days
A |    | 5.2011 | 05.2011 | 4 days
And in report use variables for Calender month from" and "Calender month to".
Hence, when user executes the report with selection as:
Calender month from" = 04.2011
"Calender month to"    = 05.2011
The data will be read from master data based on these selections along with key date and report will show output as expected.
Employee | Org Unit | Calender month from |Calender month to | sick absence
A | X | 4.2011| 4.2011 | 5 days
A |    | 5.2011 | 05.2011 | 4 days

SLMANAGER from org unit..

is there any way to get all SLAPPROVER from org unit based on the user name. there is an attribute 'SLApproverList' in BUS4101 , when i given input as user name an instance , the above attribute get filled those who are all SLAPPROVER for that user.
now i have to implement the same logic from Badi. from Badi i will pass creater name and i need all SLAPPROVER list, this is my requirement. can you please give me some hints for this.
how to get SLAPPROVER from Badi.

To get SLAPPROVER from BADI. Try this -
DATA : l_bus4101 TYPE swf_bor_object.
DATA : l_limit TYPE bbp_spers_sl-spending_limit.
DATA : l_approver TYPE swf_bor_object.
swc_get_property l_bus4101 'SLAPPROVER' l_approver.
swc_get_property l_bus4101 'SpendingLimit' l_limit.
It should be alright now. Please go through documentation on business objects and check SWC_GET_PROPERTY / SWC_SET_ELEMENT / SWC_CREATE_CONTAINER etc.
If you get error with l_approver, please check correct type for it.

I want ORG UNITS whose END DATE is within 2 years????
I Will give you scenarios
If HRP1000 table has changed for some reasons' and 5000(ORG UNIT) will create 2 records
Ex: 5000 jan 1 2005 dec 31 2009
                jan 1 2010 12/31/9999
This 5000 should't pick up as it has end date 12/31/9999 ok...
EX: 5001         JAN 1 2006 OCT 1 2007
                       OCT 1 2007   MAY 5 2009
Last record:    MAY 6 2009 Feb 6 2010
So this 5001 org unit should pick up as this last date is FEB 6 2010.

Yes, we can display the same by using time dependent hierachy's i.e. your org is converted to time dependent so that respective employee shows with respective of time.
