FM : For reduction of PIR forecast quantity

Hi.
Is there any FM for reduction of PIR <Forecast> quantity for consumption mode forward/backward>

Dear,
Please note that with stg 70, PIR will get reduced when you get dependent requirementa nd not on issue of material.
I hope you must have changed the std setting.
example
PIR for 100 for assembly
After running MRP
PIR -100
Planned order +100
Now you have run MRP for final product, which gave the dependent requirement to assembly of say 75.
Then in MD04 you will see following entry
PIR    -25
Dep req from final assembly -75
Planned order +100
This is nothing to do with consumption with 261/201.
pl simulate the above scenario and come back

  • FM : For reduction of  PIR /Consumption

    Hi.
Is there any FM for reduction of PIR <Forecast> quantity for consumption mode forward/backward> .

    Hi ALL experts,
I can send my screenshot to you guys, but I cannot upload them via picasaweb.
Is there any chance that SAP made some "upgrade" and make it happen by using "consumption 3+Mix MRP 1".
I use a customized strategy and I compare it with 40, here is the defferences:
Reqmts type (indep./customer)    Reqmts class (indep./customer)
    40                        VSF/KSV                                       101/050
    ZZ                      VSFB/KSV                                      105/050
default values for consumption type per reqmts class, VSF(101) is 1; VSFB(105) is 3.
    Thank you.

  • Planning for Sales orders for quantities greater than forecast in APO SNP

    Hi All,
We have a requirement in which planning in SNP is done based on the forecast  quantity transferred from DP . Demand from Sales orders is not taken into consideration for planning . The PO's are created based on the forecast quantity only SO's consume forecast  . Now a situation arises where we have the sales orders quantity  ( say 400) is more than that of the forecast( say 300 ) , this means  for quantity of 100 no planning is being done by SNP.
We want to know are there any ways of getting the remaining quantity being planned by SNP
The planning strategy used is 40 in ECC
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Surendra

    Hi Surendra,
For better control, the forecast quantity should match the sales order quantity for plg strategy 40.  If there are cases when sales order quantity is greater than forecast, you can create a control check in ECC to inform the users who creates the sales orders to get a popup message to create a sales order with rush order type or any other type to track the excess sales orders received against forecast.
In SNP, once this rush order is entered, upon subsequent net change heuristic plan which runs day night, it considers those excess quantities and puts up purchase requisitions and procurement & production can be planned based using those PRs in SNP.
    Please confirm

  • FORECAST QUANTITY

    Hi
I am using Oracle Apps 11.5.10.2.
I am developing an interface for sending forecast details to some external system.
Here I want to send forecast quantity plus some other information. Forecast quantity is stored in the MRP_FORECAST_DATES table.
Here comes the problem. single record in this table corresponds to multiple forecast entries. A single record in this table is created with following column values.
    FORECAST_DATE --forecast start date     26-APR-99
RATE_END_DATE --end date of the forecast       19-JULY-99
    ORIGIONAL_FORECAST_QUANTITY --per bucket quantity    1000
CURRENT_FORECAST_QUANTITY --Remaining forecast quantity after consumption      1000
Now This record shows a total forecast quantity of 13000.
If I want to fetch data for specific date range for this entry then it will create problem.
Please give me some suggestion for fetching total quantity for desired period.

please make it more clear. put some example data as in a single record and multiple entries belonging to that particular entry.

  • Select Tables for reduction

    Hi ,
in step "Select Tables for Reduction" , each table has to be selected one- by- one for reduction.
Is there any functionality to select more than ONE tables starting with Custom Name Space and mark them for "NO Transfer" ?
Possibly with help of maintenance view, table behind above logic can be used...
any input appreciated...let me know if need more explanation...
    thank you !
    Regards, Santosh

    Hi,
This functionality was developed in order to cater to all 3 requirements i.e.
    a. The customer may choose to transfer some tables in full -> There are some tables which cannot be set to Full Transfer. So in order to do this verification, it becomes necessary to run a check on the chosen table when the user selects that table which is only possible on choosing one table at a time.
    b. Change the reduction criteria for a table -> Now, here we may have differnet reduction criterias / Selection Groups for a single table. This identification of selection groups too is only possible on a table to table basis.
    c. Set a table to No Transfer -> Let us assume a situation where we have parent - child relationship between 2 tables. In case the parent was set to "No Transfer" via a maintainence view, then it would result in no data being transferred for the child table either. This inturn might lead to further inconsistencies. Thus, in order to be on the safe side, we have to do it one table at a time currently.
So keeping in mind all the 3 requirements and to maintain simplicity, this was the approach chosen.
Also, we would also like to inform you that this requirement has been taken up with high priority for the new release of TDMS (i.e. TDMS 4.0 which is scheduled to be released next year) and have already started working on arriving at a solution keeping in mind all the above limitations.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Suman

  • Best MRP type and strategy to run MRP for component using PIR and forecast

    Hi Experts,
I want to run MRP for Component parts. I need to run MRP based on Planned independent requirements and Forecast Data.
Which is the best suited MRP type and strategy.
Please help to share bestpractices if any. thank you.
    Rayudu

    Hi,
is the components you are talking are Semi finished materials or Raw materials and Packing materials which are procured from vendors ???....
It is not a good idea to maintain planning strategy for Components which are part of BOM...these materials are automatically planned when the header materials of these components are planned....
If these components are not part of any BOM then you can try the option of using forecast based planning.. MRP type  VV and maintain the forecasting view in the material master
You can also explore the option of consumption based planning like manual or automatic reorder point planning...
    Thanks

  • Individual Orders for Customer requirement and Forecast

    Hi Experts,
We have requirement to create separate planned orders for customer demand and separate planned orders for forecast.
I mean one planned order should not cover both the forecast and the Sales order quantity; there should be separate orders for the two.
We are using SNP heuristic for planning.
For Eg in a bucket :-
    Forecast = 100
    Sales Order = 40
Lot size = Lot for Lot
    Planning Strategy = 20
    We Need:
    Planned order 1 = 40
    Planned order 2 = 60
    Regards
    Manu

    Hi Manu,
Unfortunately, SAP itself says that one should not use 30 with SNP. Quoting from SAP Help for  "Planned Independent Requirements (PIR) Segment":
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm50/helpdata/en/61/95613b3e24526fe10000000a11402f/content.htm
"In SAP APO, the quantities for make-to-order operations are, in general, planned separately to those for make-to-stock operations. These areas are known as PIR segments.
In general, you can only plan within a PIR segment. This means that you cannot consume planned independent requirements for a make-to-stock scenario with sales orders in a make-to-order scenario.
However, SAP does offer a special segment to cover exactly this situation u2013 PIR segment Planning without final assembly, without individual requirements. For more information, see the input help for the PIR Segment field in the requirements strategy.
Supply Network Planning (SNP) cannot work with the individual customer segment. For example, demand in this segment is not shown in SNP. Consequently, you should not use requirements strategies that use this segment. In the standard system, these are the strategies 30 and 40."
I have not worked with 30 myself.
As I mentioned earlier, it won't be easy to differentiate between the planned orders, so I am still not clear how creating separate planned orders would be beneficial for you. But best of luck anyway.
    Thanks - Pawan

  • Reduction of PIR in strategy 10, without GI to sales order!

    Guys, I plan a semi-finished product using strategy 10.
This material is not sold, rater it is issued to order of finished product.
In this case how is PIR for semi-finished product reduced, since there is no goods issue against sales order?
    Pl help!

    Dorian,
I guess I am dense, I don't understand what overall business result you are trying to accomplish.
Normally, when you forecast at SFG level, you want the SFG PIRs to be CONSUMED by the creation of a dependent requirement or reservation (from the FG planned/production orders) and you want it REDUCED by the GI to the FGs production orders.  This is strategy 70
A related strategy which 'acts' a bit like planning at SFG level is planning with a planning material (strategy 63).  In this scenario, a Planning Material is related to groups of FGs materials (similar to the relationship between SFGs and FGs, but the relationship is carried in the Material master and not in the BOM).  You forecast the planning material.  The planning material is never actually built or sold or stocked.  The forecast of the planning material is consumed by creation of FGs sales orders, and reduced by GI to FGs sales orders.  ATP check is done against PIRs.
If you want to mix-n-match amongst different strategies (I don't recommend this), you should be aware that most fundamental changes to SAP standard strategies will have unintended consequences that can only be addressed with custom programming.  Pay particular attention to your ATP checks at the FGs level.  Also, ensure that you don't inadvertently 'double up' your requirements at the lower levels.
    Good luck

  • How can I get more detail information ( Sales Order ) of Reduction of PIR??

    Hi Experts,
In our company, our customer want to see more information about the reduction process for the planned independent requirements.
    That means for example:
First we create 150 pc planned independent requirement for material "ABC".Then we create a sales order for material "ABC" for 20 pc.After that we do the delivery for this sales order, post the goods issue. So after the outbound delivery, the  planned independent requirement for material "ABC" will reduced to 130 pc.
Although in TCODE:OMP4,we have active history is updated when planned independent requirements are reduced by a goods movement. So in MD73 we can see the withdrawal quantity 20 pc for this planned independent requirements. And in md63 we also can see the withdrawal quantity (20 pc) for this schedule lines.
But we can not see the detail information about the withdrawal quantity!!
We can not directly know this withdrawal quantity is caused by which sales order???The sales order number???
So I want to ask how can I directly see the detail information about the reduction of planned independent requirements??
That means how can I directly know  this withdrawal quantity is caused by which sales order???The sales order number???
    Thanks for any reply!!!

    Dear Liu,
check the material document posted in T Code MB51 for 601 movement.
Here you can get the details regarding the customer, and check for the same material, customer combination in T Code VA05.
    Check and revert back.

  • Reduction of PIRs in Production lot planning scenario is not happening.

    Hello Experts,
I am facing the following problem:
I have a Production lot planning scenario. I have done all customizing and master data maintenace as described in SAP Help for realizing the scenario with transfer posting to plant stock (req class 092).
However my PIRs wich are assigned to the specific production lot are not getting reduced after the transfer posting to plant stock. I need your help to resolve this problem.
Thank you in advance for your input.

    Hello Satyajit Kumar,
    Thanks for your reply.
The movement type that I use is 411 "Q" and the WBS is the correct one, but PIR still remains unreduced. Please advise.

  • BAPI for PURCHASE ORDER with OPEN QUANTITY field

    Hi All,
I wanted to use the BAPI_PO_GETDETAIL to get the Purchase Order details upon triggering from Warehouse management system,
But the details required contains a field called OPEN QUANTITY...which is not used in this BAPI.
I request to let me know if any BAPI exits for PO details having the structure for this field:Open Quantity.
    Am using SAP version 4.0B.
If not exists please advise how to customize the existing BAPI to meet the requirement.
    thanks
    mahi

    Hi,
Open quantity is a calculated field. I guess the BAPI gives the details of the delivery, so take the ordered qty and substract the delivered qty from that.
    Delivery data is EKET table.

    Ravi
