Folder Structure Not Visible under Content Administration

Hi all,
We have EP 6.0 SP13.The Folder structure(Both Business objects and Portal Content) under Content Administration and Folder structure under System Administration is not visible.I have logged in as Administrator and the roles assigned were:
com.sap.pct.crm.crm_default_services
Administrator
ContentManager
eu_role
super_admin_role
When i'm trying to access the portal content,<b>Loading...</b>is dispalyed in Content Area for a while and a message <b>'error occured'</b> is displayed in the status bar instead of <b>'Done'</b>.
I'm also having a problem in Detailed Navigation.Nothing is visible under Detailed Navigation.
Any Inputs on the above issues would be of great Help.
Thanks and regards,
Vijaya Sai.V

Hi,
There could be only 2 problems when PCD objects are not being shown.
1) You don't have the permission to view it. But since you are an administrator, you don't have to worry about it.
2) The browser is unable to show the PCD objects.
Now lets look at the solution:
I had faced the same issues where when I tried to access the portal using IP address, PCD objects will not show. So the solution is to access the portal through its "name" rather than the IP address.
I guess you would have tried to access the portal by its name, then you had faced an error in browser and so you are trying to access the portal by IP address.
if this is true, make an entry in the hosts file in your local machine, mapping the IP address to the domain name.
If you dont know how to do it, please follow the following:
Goto the following folder in windows
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\
You will find a file named hosts. Open it in notepad and give the IP address & domain name of the portal in the format specified there. Save the file. Now if you access the portal using its domain name, you should be able to see the PCD. If you are still not getting it, restart the machine and try once more. It should work.
If you are using a Linux system, the file can be found under the \etc under the root folder.
Regards,
Vijai.

  • Portal Content folder does not show in Content Administration

    Hi,
We are using EP6 SP13 in a cluster environment. After 2 weeks of working fine, suddenly the Portal Content shows "Loading..." and does not display the "Portal Content" folder...
The formed URL for this service is http://qaclient.company.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.appdesigner.framework.loading?loadingstr=loading...&scroll=no&contenturl=/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fadministrator!2fsuper_admin!2fsuper_admin_role!2fcom.sap.portal.content_administration!2fcom.sap.portal.content_admin_ws!2fcom.sap.portal.portal_content!2fcom.sap.portal.contentCatalogTreeContent
We have tried to restart this service though the portal "Support" tab... but that has not helped either...
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
Did u try restarting the whole system. Try to reboot the whole server. What is the operating system on which portal is installed.

  • New folder is not visible inside my project but shows in Windows Explorer.

I created a new folder under another folder.  The new folder is not visible inside my project but shows in Windows Explorer.  Also, if I try to add another folder of that same name, it denies the action since the folder (although invisible) already exists.  My co-worker can access the same file (on a share drive) and see the new folder just fine.  This error occurs whether I was the one creating the new folder or she is the one creating the new folder.  I am new to RoboHelp and she has used it for years.  I suspect something is not yet set up right on my side.  Ideas? (I thought I posted this yesterday but I can't find it anywhere)

    Hi there
What version of RoboHelp are you using?
Did you create the folder from inside RoboHelp or did you create it using Windows Explorer?
    Cheers... Rick

  • SQL Server 2012 PowerPivot System Service not visible in Central Administration

    Hi all,
I want to test PowerPivot 2012 on the following configuration:
    - Windows Server 2008 R2
    - Sharepoint 2010 - Enterprise edition
    - SQL Server 2008 R2
    - PowerPivot for Sharepoint<o:p></o:p>
As such, I downloaded SQL Server 2012 Evaluation and tried to upgrade SQL Server 2008 PowerPivot for Sharepoint instance to SQL Server 2012 PowerPivot
for Sharepoint. It didn't work as it's not possible to upgrade from Enterprise to Evaluation edition without a pid.
Next, I uninstalled the existing SQL Server 2008 PowerPivot for Sharepoint and I installed the SQL Server 2012 PowerPivot for Sharepoint.
I started to configure PowerPivot in Central administration (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee210609.aspx) , but I got stuck at the 2nd step Create and Configure a PowerPivot
Service Application (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee210685.aspx) in Central Administration.
The problem is that both SQL Integration Service  and SQL Server PowerPivot System service are not visible in Central administration > Manage
services on server; however they are visible and running in Windows Administrative Tools > Services.
Do you think the services are missing in Sharepoint Central Administration because the Sharepoint configuration database is on SQL Server 2008, while the Powerpivot instance is on SQL Server 2012 ?

    Thank you for the suggestion.
Meanwhile I have managed to solve the problem. What I've done:
    - remove PowerPivot configuration using the Power Configuration Tool
    - uninstall PowerPivot
    - reinstall PowerPivot
    - run PowerPivot Configuration Tool - I still got the parent service error
    - remove PowerPivot configuration using the Power Configuration Tool
    - run PowerPivot Configuration Tool - this time I received another error regarding the user that runs SQL Server Integration services
    - check  Sql Server Analysis Service account in Central Administration > Security > Service accountsManage service account - it seems that it was running under Local System account, although in Administrative Tools > Services it appeared to
be run by my domain account
    - set a domain account for Sql Server Analysis Service in Central Administration
    - run the PowerPivot Configuration Tool - this time it went smoothly.

  • Configuring folder structure for custom url contents

    Hi Experts,
We are trying to create a custom help link similar to the standard help links provided by SAP (example:  http://help.sap.com/saphelp_xrpm400/helpdata/en/AD/815F4283F26255E100000000A155106/content.htm).
Our custom help link should look like this: http://help.mycompany.com/xrpm450/en/AD/815F4283F26255E100000000A155106/content.htm
To achieve this we are following a SAP FAQ Note: 991559
Based on the solution provided in this note for Q.4 we have implemented the following steps:
    Proposed solution by SAP:
Yes it is possible to configure custom help. For instance, the default xRPM help doc url for Item Details looks like this: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_xrpm400/helpdata/en/AD/815F4283F26255E100000000A155106/content.htm
    The value of "http://help.sap.com/saphelp_xrpm400/helpdata/" and
"http://help.sap.com/saphelp_xrpm450/helpdata/" is maintained in property sheet of com.sap.xapps.cprxrpm.common.component.CommonComp. To change the value to custom url, please follow the steps:
    1. log in to J2EE Visual Administrator
    2. go to J2EE instance -> Server -> Services -> Configuration Adapter
    3. at right panel, click on webdynpro -> sap.com->xappscprxrpmcommon-> Components -> com.sap.xapps.cprxrpm.common.component.CommonComp -> Propertysheet.profile
    4. Open Propertysheet.profile, replace default value for SAP_HELP_URL with custom help url, such as http://help.mycompany.com/xrpm400/
    5. Set up required folder structure such as /en/AD/815F4283F26255E100000000A155106/, and create content.htm with your custom help content.
Now the complete path for custom doc could be: http://help.mycompany.com/xrpm400/en/AD/815F4283F26255E100000000A155106/content.htm
However, in the 5th point SAP has mention about creating a folder structure like /en/AD/815F4283F26255E100000000A155106/ . We created this folder. However, we cannot access this folder through http url.
Please let me know if any extra configuration needs to be done after creating this folder structure.

  • Roadmap structure not visible - Urgent help pls...

    Hello All,
I tried creating a custom roadmap with my own folder structure. I created it as all subfolders.
Once I am done with creation, I tried with RMMAIN transaction to view the same. But unfortunately I am not able to see the structure created by me.
I am sure that I am missing something with the 'Entry Screen' button of the RMAUTH transaction. But not able to figure out what it is. When I press the 'Entry Screeen' button, I am able to see all the folders I created for my Roadmap structure.
But the same is not visible in RMMAIN. Can anybody help me figuring out what I am missing and where I am missing?
Any input in this regard will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.
    best regds,
    Alagammai.

Without having to go into a lot of details on this - there are ample details on how to use these objects together to create a custom road-map.  There can be a number of things wrong that are not being satisfied by the work you have done so far.  You can access the guide in the http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager -> media library -> documentation -> 4.0 SP12 File.  Goto the section on Creating RoadMaps - it can explain all the nuances better than I can.  Personally I think that there is an issue with the flavor and how you have assigned your components such that when you created your project - there was nothing to display but go through the guide anyhow and see what might be the issue.
Remeber that you can always copy a RoadMap and then remove a bunch of stuff that you don't like - this is the typical method of doing business that I have seen that works pretty well.  Making these from scratch can be a bit of a pain.

  • Mac OS 9 AFP file sharing volume not visible under Mac OS 10.5

An old blue-white PowerMac G3 running Mac OS 9.2.2 with file sharing on is not visible on the network for a MacBook Pro running Mac OS X 10.5.5. – However, a PowerBook G4 with Mac OS X 10.4.11 perfectly shows the G3.
Connecting to the G3 works on the new MacBook Pro with OS X 10.5 if I use the server's IP-address (afp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) but does not work if I use the server's name (afp://<servername>).
All other shares on the network are visible for both the MacBook Pro running OS X 10.5 and the PowerBook G4 running OS X 10.4.
Why does the MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.5.5 not show the G3?
Why can't I connect to the G3 using its AFP name?

I think this is because there is no AppleTalk on Leopard.
    Ah, I stand corrected........
    Go to SystemPreferences > Network
Select your connection in the left column. Advanced > AppleTalk
    Enable AppleTalk for your connection.

  • Application folder is not visible in OOTBADMIN user company workspace.

    Hi All,
I had installed unifier application Primavera cost control,Primavera Captial planning and Primavera Project Deliver Management  successfully without error.
In Sit administrator login, Under application i can see all 3 installed application.
But in ootbadmin login i can't see three folder for above 3 application in company workspace.
I had tried by restrating weblogic server but no use.
DO i am missing any setting.
    Please help me.

When you say you cannot see the folder for the applications, what do you mean?  This is not something that is visible to company administrators. If you look at the company workspace tab in admin mode > uDesigner > Business processes, you should see approximately 45 BPs. If you see those, then the 3 SKUs loaded.  You will also see project templates, but no created projects.  You should see a tab on the top called All Projects.
Please let me know if you are missing anything.

  • Video Files Recorded on SD Card Used in Canon AVCHD Camcorder Not Visible Under Mountain Lion

    Hello:
Mountain Lion seems to treat the storage media (an SD card) used to record video in my Canon AVCHD camcorder differently than Mac OS X 10.7, 10.6 and 10.5.
When the card is inserted into the built in-card reader, it mounts as one would expect; however, a folder named "Private" appears and nothing seeems to be inside of it. If I use a machine running 10.7, 10.6, or 10.5, I'm able to drill down the fodler structure to the MTS files.
Anyone know of a way to tell 10.8 to see the data structure as 10.7 would?
I'm guessing that 10.8 wants me to use iMovie or Final Cut Pro X to access the video; however, the files need to remain as they are (i.e. mts files) and used in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
This one is kind of obscure, I know.
    Thank you for any input.
    -Warren

    Let's see...
Sounds like you're running into an expected issue if you make an alias to removeable media.  The same thing would happen if you made the alias to a folder on a DVD-R disc or CD-R.  If you eject the original, you disable the alias.
If you copy the entire SD card volume to your drive, the PRIVATE package should copy across.  Then, as a folder on your hard drive rather than a volume on removeable media, you could make an alias to the STREAM package for quicker access later.
I'm pretty sure that Handbrake, like Prmeiere Pro, can see the MTS files directly.  That is, it's not dependant on the other folders in the PRIVATE directory sturcture.  As such, you could copy the contents of the STREAM package to another folder on your drive.  Just be mindful of the default MTS file names if you're using more than one SD card (you don't want to accidentally copy 00001.MTS from one card over 00001.MTS from another card).
As long as Handbrake sees MTS directly, you could even rename the MTS files after you've copied them.
On a side note, I almost always archive my SD cards with the data structure intact.  More often than not, that file structure is important to corretly access the video stored within that structure.  If something unexpected happens while working with the MTS files, it is good to have the original file structure to go back to.  Although, SD cards are getting to be so low cost that sometimes I just label the SD card and store it for archiving.
