ForgeComponent.cleanDirs unable to clear "processing"

We're using MDEX 6.2.2 with PlatformServices 6.1.2 on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server v5.7.
We've started facing a strange problem lately. While executing a baseline, it fails at Forge.getIncomingData. It fails while trying to move a sub-folder folder from data/incoming to data/processing. On further analysis we realized that the problem is being caused by the Forge.cleanDirs method. This method is meant to clear out the input-dir, output-dir and temp-dir configured for the Forge component. However, in this case, it is unable to clear the contents of the input-dir (data\processing). When this method is called, it simply skips cleaning this directory as if it is already empty.
We checked the permissions on this folder didn't find any issues. The 'endeca' user is the owner and even with a 777 access, this method is unable to clear it out. However, we are able to clean it manually with the same user.
We were able to fix this problem temporarily by deleting the 'processing' folder itself and then re-creating it. It worked fine for a couple of days and then the same error resurfaced.
This problem is present is only on one specific ITL server in our environment.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

This error means that you're trying to duplicate a record on the DB... check the IDOC number ranges... it might help

There is some Process to do Clearing function
first of all Open item should be there in Vendor account with the Invoice.
For that invoice there should be a payment which is full payment or else Partial Pament.
Then you can do clearing function to clear the Open items.
Through F-51 you can do both Payment and clearing which is Post with clearing
if you have done payment throgh any other Tcodes you have to come F-44 and do mannual Clearing.
Try to explain your senario more Clear so that your doubt can solve

Unable to clear customer line items for a particular company code

For a certain company code, even though open items are present for some customers, i am unable to clear them using F-28 or F-32.I am getting the message 'No open item exists', Anyone come across this scenario before?

Hi:
Make sure you are giving proper selection criteria for the processing open item. May be the items are Special GL based transaction so you need to select special GL indicator to process open item. Please also refer to OSS Note 136754 - F-03, F-32, F-44, F-28 missing open items. Hope this will help you.

I have a user with a new iPad2, who has set up an iTunes account. It takes her username and password, which it recognizes (it fails if she fat-fingers it). Then it says that it is a new account, and offers her the terms and conditions which she agrees to, and then it takes her to the screen asking for her personal info and credit card info, which she fills in. Then it pops up a message from the iTunes Store that says "Your request is temporarily unable to be processed. Please try again later."
She has tried this multiple times over the past week, same error each time. This morning, just to vary things a bit, we tried logging in to her account in iTunes on her iMac. (If nothing else, a real keyboard and mouse is less painful...) Exactly the same behavior -- it clearly knows who she is, bringing up address information, etc. when she puts in the right username and password. But it will not complete the signup with the iTunes store, so she cannot get applications (even free ones) downloaded on to the iPad.
If I sign in with my appleID and password (set up years ago, and with iTunes gift card credit on it) it simply takes it and works -- but not on her credentials.

The problem is that we were trying to change this person's credit card associated with the AppleID from her personal card to her company credit card. Going to http://store.apple.com/us/account/home and trying to Edit the credit card information at least got us to a more useful error message -- it complained about the credit card billing address.
So we went to Plan B, and created a new appleID for her, following these instructions http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534 to get her an appleID without a credit card. It then happily completed the registration process, and now she can download free apps.
When she needs to buy an app, I'll probably be back. (Sheesh, apple, this should NOT be this hard to give you money!!!)

We are having an issue while installing communication station.here the deatils go..
Background:
We are in the process of Installing the Communication Station SP6. We are following SAP Communication Installation Manual from CD.
Components:
OS: 2003 Enterprise Edition
CRM: 4.0 SP10
Issues:
We have installed Microsoft Visual Studio Runtime Environment, Microsoft .Net Frame work and SAP Gateway as per manual. When we try installing communication station we got the error message at the end of installation say that Unable to clear Qmtsrv.dll attributes.

we have the same problem here.
CRM 4.0 and the Errormessage "Unable to clear Qmtsrv.dll attributes" while installing Communication Station 4.0 SP6.
The default Authentication Level is on "none" and the Default Impersonate Lebel is on "Identify".
We stopped all instances of our SAP System before starting the installation.
It´s running on Windows Server 2003 64-bit.
.NET and Visual Runtime is already installed.
I hope you can help us with this issue.

Unable to clear the cache content

messages are stuck in queue, so i went smq1 & smq2 and clear the queue. again i processed it while putting the file in ftp.
In sxi_cache i went and seen it is showing - Unable to clear the cache content. traffic light is in red mode. I know that it should be green....

App Store - Your request is temporarily unable to be processed

when trying to install two apps I got to the point where APP store says "Your request is temporarily unable to be processed." The previous message before that is to accept the new terms and conditions. I say yes and then this is what happens. Tried logging out and in - not working.
Any tips?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select

from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take one of the actions that you're having trouble with. Itunes codes are temporarily unable to be processed

Today I purchased a £25 iTunes giftcard. I entered the code into the account and everything worked correctly.
Now, whenever I try to purchase anything, ever since I entered the voucher code into my account, i get this message:
iTunes codes are temporarily unable to be processed.
You may continue to browse the store. Please try again later.
The balance is there, £25, quite clearly. It has just jammed up my account completely. i can no longer purchase anything.
Any way to fix this? It doesn't seem to be getting resolved

I have had the same problem for over a month with my son's new apple id. I finally stumbled onto something that worked and allowed us to use his ID in the iTunes store. Here's what I did:
1) In your browser, go to https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage
2) Select the Password and Security tab
3) Under the Security Questions, there was a red exclamation point and the red text " For your security, please provide a longer answer."
4) I changed the security question, typed in a new answer, and hit Save. The red exclamation and red text went away.
5) After that, I was able to proceed normally and use the account in iTunes. FINALLY!!
I guess Apple didn't like the answer to the security question, and that was what kept tripping it up. Maybe something similar is going on with your account. Hope this solution works for someone else.

As a result of our year end retained earnings roll and clear process, our stat segment (seg 12) is not balancing and rolling up to retained earnings. Our balancing segment is legal entity. Currently our countries have to perform manual entries to reclass all non 000 stat accounts back to it's original P&L account. Attempting to automate via Mass Allocation.
Currently, working the following formula. However, unable to move from 000 to applicable stat (130 for example)

Note that B and C are the same so that they basically would be a wash. I orignally had a constant (1) in both, however, it resulted in a rule violation.
What currently is happening is a total reclass. That is, all segment 12 values moving from 30100 xxxxx 000 stat to the same. Has anyone experienced this issue? Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.

If I understand you correctly, you are trying to move balances from ONE account combination to another right?
So, let's say, my COA is structured as
B/S- Stat - Acct - whatever...
And account combination
10-000-6100-0000-000 has $100 erroneously in it and I want to MOVE the balance from STAT value 000 to 130.
This is how to do it:
Choose to Allocate Balances From FULL BALANCE.
Leave Full Cost Pool Allocation check box BLANK. If you check this, you cannot use numbers in B and C lines. (See General Ledger Users Guide).
Thus, this is what my formual should look like:

B 1

O 10-000-6110-0000-000 (same as A to empty it out)

I'm not sure why you're looping. Looping is used on Parent account when you want to divide up the cost pool proportionately, say across departments.

Unable to clear vendor F-44, after selecting item and when simulating getting error as Posting is only possible with a zero balance; correct document.
The posted documents are old fiscal year document and the Clearing date is current date.

Unable to clear open items for Bank GL

Hi Experts,
I have scenario where I am unable to clear bank clearing account through F-03.
The Bank Clearing GL account master is NOT managed as "Balances in Local Currency only'
Current issue is:
Invoice is posted with USD currency
Ex: $100 (1st April 2013, Exchange rate @ INR 50)
The payment is posted in INR 4900 (1st December 2013, Exchange rate @ INR 49) .
Here the balances in USD are clear with $100, but with difference in local currency which is posted as Forex gain.
But while clearing the GL through F-03, the error is popping up ... "difference too large for clearing".
Please help me how we can clear the balances of this GL (Which has two different currencies posted before clearing)

The message comes because of different document currency in Invoice and payment.
In payment, your document currency is INR, so the system will calculate to LC1, LC2, LC3, cannot calculate back to your invoice currency, so even EUR amount is the same but the INR amount is still different.
               Document currency     Ex Rate     Local Currency          Clearing currency
Invoice          100EUR                   50               5,000INR                    5,000INR
Payment      4,900INR                    1               4,900INR                    4,900INR
If clearing currency is INR, even EUR amount is the same but you still have different in INR amount
In my example, in F-03, when you choose the clearing currency is USD, and choose the open item list

Payment    10,000USD                  1              10,000USD               10,000.00USD

In this case, the system will created automaticall line item to Exchange gain/loss for different amount.
You have to add one more line to offset this different amount.
Example in my case, because of the different amount 992.40- is debit to Exchange loss by system.
So now, I will add more line to credit that amount again line below

Unable to clear file upload fields in web pages.

When visiting any site which has the option to upload a file, I am unable to clear the field if I change my mind about uploading a file.
A website has a BROWSE or UPLOAD field and button. Pressing the button brings up the open file dialog. I select a file and select open in the dialog. If I then click on the field containing the path/file, I am presented with the open file dialog. I cannot clear or edit the field on the web page.
I originally thought it was something with the web page I visited, but then found another page did the same thing.

For instance if you go to this page again in Safari,

and then select "View Source" from the View menu, then press command-f to "find" within the page and search for ".mov"
You will find this, which shows the url of the movie itself.

If you try the same technique on the page at the link provided by your client, it will allow you to bypass the html code that may be doing an outdated compatibility check and the movie may play. Or it may tell you that you are missing components (codecs, compressors etc.) in which case, post here again.

Unable to clear out the stock in SAP

Need your help. I have an issue, my user wants to clear out the stock in SAP because they are the old stock and there's no stock in actual warehouse for those materials actually. it is just in the system taht showing those materials have stock in warehouse. but however, she's unable to clear out the stock. So when i check in the system, the materials are batch managed and still have open POs dated on 2003 which has already old. Is it the reason why she can't clear the stock? Do i need to ask her to off the batch management for those materials,then delete the POs and then only she able to clear the stock? Please advise on the solution..

2) Post the Physical Inventory stock Using MI04 ( Mark Tick if the stock is Zero)
3) Post the doc in Using MI07
Note : Give the batch no if the material is activated the batch

Unable to clear Google search history in Safari

I am unable to clear old searches in Safari. None of the following has any effect: using the clear recent searches button, totally resetting Safari, deleting all history and cache and trying to delete each individual search item manually, or by changing default search method. These are old items, not recent searches, but they continue to show up in the recent search area. It appears to be a bug. Any ideas how to REALLY clear out the search cache?
